LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN NUEVO PROCEDIMIENTO DE SINTESIS DE LAS SALES DEL ACIDO PANGAMICO (A VECES DESIGNADOS TAMBIEN COMO VITAMINA 15 Y LLAMADOS MAS PRECXISAMENTE DIMETILGLICILGLUCONATOS). ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN LA ESTERIFICACION DEL ACIDO GLUCONICO O DEL GLUTANATO DE CALCIO O DE MAGNESIO CON UN CLORHIDRATO DE DIMETILGLICINA EN MEDIO ACUOSO EN PRESENCIA DE ACIDO FOSFORICO O DE ACIDO SULFURICO A UNA TEMPERATURA QUE VARIA ENTRE 30 Y 70 (GRADOS) C; DESPUES SE REALIZA LA CONCENTRACION DEL PRODUCTO DE ESTERIFICACION, SEGUIDO DE LA ELIMINACION DE LOS ACIDOS MINERALES POR ACCION DE UNA AMINA DE PESO MOLECULAR ELEVADO INSOLUBLE EN EL AGUA. EL ACIDO PANGANICO OBTENIDO SE TRANSFORMA ENSEGUIDA EN UNA DE SUS SALES POR ACCION DE UN CARBONATO, COMO POR EJEMPLO EL CARBONATO DE CALCIO O EL CARBONATO DE MAGNESIO. LOS PANGANATOS SON UTILES EN MEDICINA PARA COMBATIR LAS FORMAS DIFERENTES DE ARTERIOESCLEROSIS.
