Abstract
The device consists of a first mechanism to make a double pleat along one side of the strip, followed by a transverse fold maker. The folded strip then passes through a system (32) which welds its free edges together to make a sleeve, followed by a transverse seam welder (34) which operates as the sleeve is being filled. - The filled packages, still joined together in a continuous length, are then cut across the transverse welds to make separate packages.
