Abstract

Automatic tension-regulating device for a transmission control arrangement, e.g. a motor-vehicle clutch control arrangement, with a straight, rigid shank (1), which is firmly connected to the end of a sleeve (3) of the cable (5) of the transmission control arrangement and has two flat, elongate sections situated opposite one another over which there move two rollers (10, 10') that are accommodated in a holding device (7) and, when the cable (5) is subjected to tensile stress, jam onto the holding device (7) between these sections and symmetrical planes (24, 24') of a fixed casing part owing to the action of a spring (26), with the result that the shank (1) and the length of the sleeve (3) are fixed, and which rollers are released when the control arrangement is not in operation, with the result that the shank (1), driven by an outer spring (27) with a preset stress which acts continuously on the sleeve (3), is displaced and the covering length adjusts in accordance with the tension to the action to which the cable is subject in its final position.
