UN METODO PARA LA PRODUCCION DE ETANOL, EN EL QUE SE SACRIFICA MATERIAL DE ALMIDON PARA FORMAR GLUCOSA MEDIANTE LA ENZIMA AMILOGLUCOSIDASA, Y SE FERMENTA LA GLUCOSA PARA FORMAR ETANOL PARA LA ACCION DEL MICROOGANISMO ZYMOMONAS MOBILIS EN PRESENCIA DE UN MEDIO DE REACCION EN UN UNICO RECIPIENTE DE FERMENTACION. LA RELACION DE CELULAS DE AMILOGLUCOSIDASA A CELULAS DE ZYMOMONAS MOBILIS PUEDE VARIARSE DE MANERA QUE LAS OPERACIONES DE SACARIFICACION Y FERMENTACION SE REALICEN A LA MISMA VELOCIDAD, ESTANDO LA CONCENTRACION DEL ALMIDON DENTRO DEL INTERVALO DE 10% A 30% EN PESO/VOLUMEN.
