Abstract

The present invention relates to a clamping device for positioning or shaping, remote-controlled and intended for working sheet metal, metal sections or any other material which is to be assembled by welding or adhesive bonding or is to be machined. The device comprises: a set of clamping heads, each composed of a body (1) to be fixed on a support, and a pivoting clamping element (2) connected to a carriage (3) by two links (4) this carriage (3) is equipped with four rolling members (5) travelling over two shaped ramps (6). The carriage (3) is joined with optimum clearance to an end piece (7) connected to a flexible line (8) which is itself connected to a control box (9) operated by an actuator (10) fixed on a support (11) equipped with guides (12). A barrel (14) equipped with either rigid or friction blocks (15) is fixed to the end of the actuator rod (13), and preset slides (16) travel in these blocks.
