Abstract

The combustion chamber (100) has an air tight casing (110) and contains the burner (101) and a principal heat exchanger for inlet air (30). A secondary heat exchanger (20) provides a second stage cooling of the flue gases and condenses the moisture therein which is drained separately. The flue gases are induced by an extract fan (102) to be discharged through the flue (106). The flue and fresh air inlet (105) are parallel but insulated from one another. Baffles guide air from the primary exchanger and cause scavenging of air in the free space between the heater wall and the primary exchanger intake.
