Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de ftalilsulfatiazola del tipo 2-N4-ftalilsulfanilamidotiazolaque consiste esencialmente en calentar ácido ftálicoanhídrido de ácido ftálicoo un monohaluro tal como el monocloruro del éster alkilo del ácido ftálico tal como: **(Ver fórmula)** con sulfatiazolaesto es 2-(p-aminobencenosulfamido)-tiazolatanto cuando meramente se emplea el ácido ftálico como en un medio inerte de reacción tal como un disolvente inertecomo cuando se usa anhídrido ftálicoy en este último caso separando el deseado producto final: y en el caso de usar el monocloruro del éster liberando dicho producto final de hidrolisis y en algún casoes necesariosujetando el producto final a purificación por recristalización.
