Abstract

The closing device of the invention is applicable to a type of snap-hooks used for the hooking of ropes, cables and the like the snap-hook is comprised conventionally of a ring (1) with a sector (3) which can be opened for the passage of the rope or element to be hooked the sector (3) can be closed by means of a pivoting pin (2) which is hinged (4) at one of its ends to an end (5) of the ring (1), whereas the other end of said pin has a recess (10) intended to receive the other extremity (6) of the ring (1). The improvement consists in that the extremity (6) is determined by a section with lateral undercuttings (7), having a minor thickness for its anchoring into the recess (10), the latter having in the internal surface of its walls an undercutting (11) complementary of a projection (9) provided in the lateral undercuttings (7). This structural configuration of the closure provides an efficient coupling between the parts, a higher resistance of the snap-hook and a better aesthetic finish of the assembly.
