Definitions
- the invention relates firstly to a multifunctional implant system with at least one implant according to the features of the preamble of patent claim 1.
- the invention further relates to a method for individually adapting at least one implant of an implant system, in particular of the aforementioned type.
- one-piece and multi-piece implant systems are known in the prior art.
- a crown is arranged and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head of the implant directly without any further intermediate components.
- an intermediate component namely in particular an abutment
- the implant head of a one-piece implant system - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body with or on the jawbone - generally protrudes further from the jawbone than the implant head of a multi-piece implant system.
- an implant of a one-piece implant system with an implant body and an implant head is known.
- Such an implant is usually made of metal or ceramic.
- the purpose of this already known implant system is to enable a particularly cost-effective design of the implant with particularly diverse combination options, including other components, in particular a crown and/or an abutment.
- the implant head has, for example, an internal thread, so that an abutment or a crown can then be flexibly connected to the implant using an adhesive connection, but in particular a screw connection.
- the implant head is non-circular in cross-section, preferably with an external hexagon, so that the implant can be easily screwed into the jawbone using an external tool adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the implant head.
- the external tool can be re-attached to the implant head and the osseointegration can be “activated” again by further screwing in the implant.
- Screwing the implant into the jawbone is problematic because during screwing, the areas of the gingiva and/or jawbone and/or adjacent teeth adjacent to the tool may be touched by the tool, which makes the process of screwing the implant into the jawbone more difficult.
- This problem is particularly present when the implant head of the implant of a multi-part implant system - in the connected and/or attached and/or arranged state of the implant body with or on the jawbone - protrudes only slightly from the jawbone.
- EP 3 235 465 B1 describes various embodiments of an implant of a known implant system.
- a one-piece embodiment of the implant system with an implant consisting of an implant body and an implant head, the implant head being designed accordingly for the direct attachment of a crown.
- the implant has an internal thread for attaching the crown and/or an abutment.
- implants without a pronounced implant head are described, which have a connection area in addition to the internal thread. The implant can then be connected to the abutment using this connection area and is thus designed as a multi-part implant system.
- the crown cannot be directly connected to the connection area and/or arranged and/or attached to the connection area due to the lack of pronounced connection of the implant body to or on the jawbone - in the connected and/or attached and/or arranged state - or due to the implant head only protruding slightly from the jawbone.
- the combination options of each of these implants with other structures/components, such as an abutment, a connector, a crown and/or a temporary prosthesis, are therefore limited.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of designing and/or developing a multifunctional implant system or a method for individually adapting at least one implant of an implant system in such a way that the previously mentioned problems and/or problematic aspects are avoided and/or reduced, in particular whereby the combination options of the implant of this implant system with regard to further structures/components, such as an abutment, a connector, a crown and/or a temporary prosthesis, are expanded and/or the implant system can be optimally adapted to the individual patient, in particular whereby the application options and/or the flexibility of such an implant system are increased.
- This problem underlying the invention is now initially solved by a multifunctional implant system with the features of patent claim 1.
- the implant head is designed to be grindable.
- a recess is formed in the implant on its longitudinal axis that is open towards the implant head, the recess being designed at least partially for the positive arrangement and/or for the positive engagement of a tool, in particular at least partially as a polygonal profile or as an internal round profile, so that the implant can be screwed into the jawbone using the tool.
- the recess at least partially has an internal thread.
- the implant system has at least one ring, in particular a metal ring, wherein the ring can be supported on the implant and/or arranged in such a way that part of the implant head protrudes from the ring, wherein the part of the implant head that then protrudes can be ground down to the ring supported and/or arranged on the implant using a grinding tool.
- This multifunctional implant system designed in this way creates a particularly high level of flexibility, in particular the implant can be individually adapted to a specific patient, in particular because the implant head can be easily adapted and/or dimensioned to the respective needs using the ring using the grinding tool.
- the implant system can in particular have differently dimensioned rings, in particular of different axial lengths or heights.
- the implant head can now be processed in such a way, as the following explanations will show, that the implant head can then be easily adapted and/or designed to suit the respective needs of a patient, in particular for connecting and/or fastening and/or arranging the additional further structure of the implant system.
- the implant of this implant system with other structures / components, such as an abutment, a connector, a crown and/or a provisional prosthesis.
- the implant can be used in a one-piece implant system, whereby a crown can be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head directly without any additional intermediate components and/or can be effectively connected to the implant head.
- the implant head of the implant is designed to be grindable, so that after grinding, a crown can also be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connected to the implant head by means of an intermediate abutment, the implant then being part of a multi-part implant system.
- connectors for effective connection to a healing cap and/or provisional prostheses with or without an intermediate abutment can also be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connected to the implant head.
- the implant or the implant system can be individually adjusted and/or optimally adapted to a specific patient. Because the recess is at least partially designed for a positive arrangement and/or for the positive engagement of a tool, in particular as a polygonal profile or as an inner round profile, the implant can be screwed into the jawbone with the aid of the tool even after the implant head has been ground down.
- the tool can then be arranged again in a positive manner in the recess of the implant of the implant system according to the invention in order to "activate" the process of connecting the jawbone to the implant body, namely osseointegration, again by screwing in the implant piece by piece.
- implant system can be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connected to the implant head both without grinding and after at least partial grinding of the implant head, a particularly large number of different types of abutments, connectors, crowns and/or temporary prostheses can be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connected to the implant head.
- the implant system according to the invention is thus designed to be particularly flexible and can be adapted and/or individually adapted particularly well to the respective patient for whom it is to be used.
- the polygonal profile is designed as an internal hexagonal profile or as an internal square profile.
- the polygonal profile or the inner round profile and the inner thread are preferably formed in different areas - viewed in the longitudinal direction of the implant.
- the recess has the polygonal profile or the inner round profile adjacent to its opening.
- the inner thread is preferably formed in an end area of the recess facing away from the opening, preferably adjacent to the polygonal profile or the inner round profile.
- the polygonal profile or the inner round profile and the inner thread it would also be theoretically conceivable for the polygonal profile or the inner round profile and the inner thread to be formed at least partially in the same area of the recess - viewed in the longitudinal direction of the implant - with the inner thread then being partially interrupted in the circumferential direction by the polygonal profile or the inner round profile.
- the implant namely the implant body and the implant head
- the implant head is designed as a one-piece component.
- a one-piece component is produced, for example, in a sintering process and/or by removing material from a homogeneous base body.
- One-piece components have the advantage that there are no connecting joints between functionally different subcomponents in which dirt and/or bacteria could collect in an undesirable manner.
- the implant comprises a ceramic material, in particular a zirconium oxide ceramic, or is made from it.
- a ceramic material in particular a zirconium oxide ceramic
- Such ceramic materials can be processed particularly well in the sintering process mentioned and can also be ground particularly well and easily using conventional grinding tools. Furthermore, the necessary The stability of the implant is also ensured with the help of the ceramic material, in particular the zirconium oxide ceramic.
- the implant head advantageously has an implant head gingival area adjacent to the implant body.
- the implant head gingival area is intended and/or designed - when the implant body is connected and/or fastened and/or arranged with or on the jawbone - to be enclosed by gingiva and/or to be in direct contact with the gingiva.
- the "gingiva” is also sometimes referred to below as "gums". It may be that immediately after the implant is screwed into the jawbone, the implant head gingival area is not yet enclosed by the gingiva and/or is in direct contact with the gingiva.
- the enclosing of the implant head - gingival area could then take place during a healing process of the gingiva/gums, so that - after the healing process - the gingiva is also in direct contact with the implant head - gingival area or at least partially encloses the implant head - gingival area.
- the implant head has an implant head holding area on the side of the implant head gingival area facing away from the implant body, in particular with a substantially constant outer diameter or with an outer diameter that decreases along the longitudinal axis.
- the implant head holding area has in particular a smaller outer diameter than the implant head gingival area.
- the implant head holding area serves in particular to connect and/or fasten and/or arrange the additional, further structures and/or further components of the implant system on the implant, whereby these structures or components are then in particular in direct contact with the implant head holding area.
- the implant head holding area is conical or has a conical shape, in particular that it has a conical outer area. But even then, the "average outer diameter" and/or the "smallest outer diameter” of this conical implant head holding area is smaller than the outer diameter of the implant head gingival area.
- a bevel is formed between the implant head gingiva region and the implant head holding region. The bevel forms the transition between the implant head gingiva region and the implant head holding region.
- the bevel preferably has the shape of the outer surface of a truncated cone on its outer circumference.
- other types of transitions between the implant head gingiva region and the implant head holding region would also be conceivable, e.g. with a changing slope of the bevel with respect to or relative to the longitudinal axis of the implant.
- a step-shaped transition between the implant head gingiva region and the implant head holding region would also be conceivable, in particular with the formation of several steps or even just with the formation of one step or a shoulder, in particular if the implant head gingiva region directly borders on the implant head holding region and the implant head holding region has a smaller outer diameter than the implant head gingiva region.
- a bead-shaped locator section with an external diameter that is larger than the implant head holding area is formed on a front end region of the implant head facing away from the implant body.
- an additional, further structure of the implant system in particular a temporary prosthesis, can be arranged on the implant and/or effectively connected to the implant.
- Commercially available temporary prostheses are in particular designed to be connected to the implant with the aid of such a bead-shaped locator section.
- Such temporary prostheses must also be removed from the implant again, namely when the healing process of the implant in the jawbone and/or the healing process of the gingiva is complete and a crown for permanent use is then to be arranged and/or fastened to the implant or an intermediate abutment and/or connected to the implant or the intermediate abutment.
- Removing the temporary prosthesis is particularly easy, as its connection to the bead-shaped locator section is largely based on a positive connection, so that the connection between the temporary prosthesis and the implant head can be removed again without the use of great force.
- a "crown" could also fall under the term “prosthesis”.
- the term “prosthesis” therefore generally includes corresponding, in particular already known "tooth replacement components".
- a prosthesis can therefore also be removed from the patient's oral cavity, but in particular a "temporary prosthesis" is inserted into the patient's oral cavity so that after a certain period of time, in particular after the completion of the healing process of the implant in the Jaw bone, then - after removing this temporary prosthesis - a crown is placed for permanent placement on the implant in the patient's oral cavity instead of the temporary prosthesis.
- the crown is then made of ceramic in particular, although a temporary prosthesis can also be made of plastic in particular.
- the implant head holding area and/or the bevel and/or the step-shaped transition protrude at least partially from the gingiva when the implant body is connected and/or attached and/or arranged with or on the jawbone.
- This also ensures that the gingiva/gums are not touched by the connection and/or attachment and/or arrangement of the additional, further structures/components of the implant system on the implant, or that a growth process of the gingiva is not disturbed by such further structures.
- the implant system has at least one ring, in particular a metal ring.
- the ring can be supported on the implant, in particular in the area of the bevel or in the area of the step-shaped transition and/or in the area of the implant head-gingival area and/or in a groove, and/or can be arranged in such a way that part of the implant head protrudes from the ring, whereby the part of the implant head that then protrudes can be ground down to the ring supported on the implant using a grinding tool.
- the ring thus forms a stop for the grinding tool. The grinding process can therefore be carried out particularly precisely.
- the dimensions of the shape of the implant head that is still present after the grinding process are known particularly precisely, so that a subsequent connection and/or fastening and/or arrangement of the further structure/another component on the implant head is facilitated, in particular the structure itself then no longer needs to be adjusted.
- the implant head further preferably has at least one connection area, in particular a notch or a raised area, for the form-fitting and/or force-fitting arrangement of the ring on the implant and/or for the form-fitting and/or force-fitting connection of the ring to the implant.
- connection area extends in the longitudinal direction of the implant head, in particular over the entire implant head holding area and at least partially over the bevel.
- the ring then has on its inner circumference a corresponding elevation or a corresponding notch that matches the notch or elevation of the connection area.
- the respective notches or elevations each extend in the longitudinal direction of the implant or the ring. A positive connection between the ring and the implant head can thus be realized between the notch or elevation of the connection area and the elevation or notch of the ring, by means of which in particular a rotation of the ring about the longitudinal axis of the implant is avoided.
- connection area is formed in the area of the bevel and in particular as a circular notch or elevation.
- the ring then has a respective corresponding circular elevation or notch on its inner circumference that matches the circular notch or elevation of the connection area.
- the ring can then be essentially clipped onto the implant head, wherein in the connected state of the ring and implant head, the respective notch at least partially engages in the respective elevation.
- the implant head has at least one guide region, in particular a notch or a groove
- the ring has at least one elevation for engaging in the guide region and/or for enabling targeted forced guidance of the ring.
- the guide region extends in the longitudinal direction of the implant head, in particular the guide region extends over the entire implant head holding region and/or at least partially over the aforementioned bevel.
- the guide region has several, in particular four, notches and/or grooves and the ring has several, in particular four, corresponding elevations formed on its inner circumference.
- the implant head holding region and/or the bevel has a groove and/or groove-shaped notch that runs at least partially, in particular completely, around its circumference.
- the elevation or elevations of the ring can be screwed into the groove for the positive and/or force-fitting arrangement of the ring on the implant, in particular for its fastening in the axial direction on the implant, when the ring is appropriately positioned in the guide area, in particular in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the ring has then reached the end of the guide area, where in particular, the groove, which runs partially around the circumference, is connected to it or is designed accordingly. This then enables the elevation to be turned into the groove.
- the ring preferably has a height of 0.3 mm to 3 mm, in particular 0.5 mm to 2 mm, in the longitudinal direction.
- the ring has a height of 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm or 2 mm.
- the object underlying the invention is also achieved by a method for individually adapting at least one implant of an implant system described in particular above with the features of patent claim 23.
- One aspect of the invention then essentially lies in the fact that the implant head is at least partially ground down in order to subsequently arrange and/or fasten and/or connect a specific structure and/or another, specific component to the implant.
- a ring is first slipped over the implant head and/or over an implant head holding area and/or supported and/or arranged thereon until the ring is supported and/or arranged and/or mounted on the implant, in particular in the area of the implant head holding area and/or in the area of a bevel and/or on a stepped transition and/or on an implant head gingival area, such that part of the implant head protrudes from the ring.
- the grinding process increases the number of different types of abutments, connectors, crowns and/or temporary prostheses that can be arranged and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connected to the implant head, since the implant head has a different shape and/or size after partial grinding than before grinding.
- Other shapes of the implant head are suitable for arranging and/or fastened to the implant head and/or connecting other abutments, connectors, crowns and/or temporary prostheses to the implant head and/or connecting them to the implant head.
- the implant head can be adapted accordingly, so that the implant system has a high degree of flexibility.
- a centering pin of a grinding tool is arranged in the recess of the implant in order to position the grinding tool during grinding of the Implant head with the centering pin to support and/or center it on the implant.
- grinding can be carried out with greater precision.
- the length of the implant can be reduced in a defined manner in this way, since the grinding tool can be guided and/or supported on the implant in the longitudinal direction of the implant with the centering pin while the implant head is being ground.
- the rotational symmetry of the implant head can also be changed in a defined manner, which is explained in more detail below.
- the bead-shaped locator section - if present - is ground down.
- the bead-shaped locator section serves in particular to arrange and/or fasten a temporary prosthesis to the implant and/or to connect it to the implant head.
- the bead-shaped locator section is ground down in order to subsequently arrange and/or fasten a specific other component, such as in particular a permanently insertable crown, to the implant and/or to connect it to the implant.
- the ring is preferably slipped over the implant head and/or arranged on the implant head until the ring is supported and/or mounted on the implant, in particular in the region of the bevel and/or at a step-shaped transition and/or at an implant head-gingival region, so that part of the implant head protrudes from the ring, in particular after the bead-shaped locator section has been ground down.
- the axial length or height of the ring is therefore smaller than an axial length or height of the implant head, in particular the axial length/height of the ring is smaller than a common axial length of the implant head holding area and any bevel that may be present. Grinding down the bead-shaped locator section is necessary under certain circumstances because the inner diameter of the ring is preferably at least partially smaller than the maximum outer diameter of the bead-shaped locator section.
- the ring is arranged on the implant, in particular in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, in particular in order to substantially prevent rotation of the ring during the grinding process and/or movement of the ring in the longitudinal direction of the implant.
- the previously explained connection areas and/or guide areas of the implant serve for this purpose, in particular an elevation of the ring by a Twisting can be screwed into a partially circumferential groove of the implant, in particular in a substantially form-fitting manner, as previously explained.
- the part of the implant head that protrudes from the ring is ground down to the ring supported on the implant using a face grinding tool, forming a plateau.
- the plateau forms a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the implant.
- the materials of the face grinding tool and the ring are matched to one another in such a way that the ring itself cannot be ground down easily using the face grinding tool. When the face grinding tool hits the ring, only minimal abrasion occurs, if at all.
- the ring is removed from the implant again after the plateau has been created.
- the ring is removed essentially along the longitudinal axis of the implant.
- a further, different component such as in particular an abutment, a connector and/or a crown, can be arranged on the implant head and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head.
- a further, different component than before grinding can be arranged on the implant head and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head.
- the implant head is advantageously ground on its outer circumference using a peripheral grinding tool, in particular one with a specific inner contour, to create a specific outer contour.
- a peripheral grinding tool in particular one with a specific inner contour
- Commercially available crowns in particular have a specific inner contour to which the specific outer contour of the implant head is adapted by this grinding.
- different structures/components than before the outer contour was changed can then be arranged on the implant head and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head.
- the number of different types of abutments, connectors, crowns and/or temporary prostheses that can be arranged on the implant head and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head can be further increased.
- the application possibilities and flexibility of the implant system designed in this way are therefore correspondingly high.
- the specific structure and/or the further specific component is, according to a further preferred embodiment of the method, an abutment, a connector, a crown and/or a temporary prosthesis is formed.
- the other, specific components are used in particular alternatively and/or in different phases.
- a temporary prosthesis is first arranged and/or fastened to the implant and/or connected to the implant.
- a healing cap could be arranged and/or fastened to the implant and/or connected to the implant using a connector.
- a crown with or without an intermediate abutment is usually arranged and/or fastened to the implant and/or connected to the implant.
- a bridge is arranged and/or fastened to the implant and/or connected to the implant.
- the healing process of a jawbone and/or gingiva can be particularly well controlled and/or supported in all its phases with the help of the implant system.
- the method is advantageously carried out in the connected and/or attached and/or arranged state of the implant body with or on the jawbone. Then, particularly when the healing process of the jawbone and/or the gingiva is already well advanced, the implant can be modified accordingly to connect and/or attach and/or arrange a specific, further structure of the implant system, so that the specific, further structure can be selected in particular based on how the healing process has progressed up to that point or what condition the jawbone and/or the gingiva are then in.
- the method is carried out outside of a patient's oral cavity. Outside of a patient's oral cavity, the grinding processes are easier to carry out because the implant is more accessible from all sides.

- Fig. 10a to 10e show a schematic representation of several embodiments of the implant system during or between the method steps of a method for individually adapting an implant of the implant system, each in a side view, partly in section.
- the multifunctional implant system 1 according to Fig. 1 to 10 has at least one implant 2.
- the implant 2 has an implant body 3 and an implant head 4, wherein the implant body 3 has an external thread 5 for connection and/or fastening and/or arrangement with or on a jawbone 6.
- the implant head 4 is arranged and/or formed adjacent to the implant body 3 in a longitudinal direction of the implant 2.
- the implant head 4 protrudes - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6 - from the jawbone 6 or the implant head 4 can be arranged to protrude from the jawbone 6 accordingly when the implant body 3 is arranged in the jawbone 6.
- Fig. 2 shows this connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6.
- the longitudinal direction extends along a longitudinal axis L of the implant 2.
- Fig. 1 a, 1b, 2 and 3 show a first embodiment of the multifunctional implant system 1, each with a first embodiment of the implant 2.
- Fig. 4a shows a second embodiment of the implant system 1, with a second embodiment of the implant 2.
- Fig. 5 shows a third embodiment of the implant system 1, with a third embodiment of the implant 2.
- Fig. 6a and 6b show a fourth embodiment of the implant system 1, with a fourth embodiment of the implant 2.
- the implant head 4 is designed to be grindable.
- the grindability is based on the one hand on the material of the implant head 4, which is designed to be particularly easy to grind. Furthermore, the grindability is based on the fact that the implant head 4 - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6 - protrudes sufficiently far from the jawbone 6, as is shown in particular in Fig. 2.
- a recess 7 open towards the implant head 4 is formed in the implant 2 on its longitudinal axis L.
- the recess 7 is at least partially designed for the positive arrangement and/or for the positive engagement of a tool, in particular at least partially as a polygonal profile 8 or as an inner round profile 19, so that the implant 2 can be screwed into the jawbone 6 with the aid of the tool.
- the polygonal profile 8 is particularly evident from the sectional view of Fig. 1 b of the first embodiment of the implant 2.
- other embodiments of the implant 2 also have such a polygonal profile 8 or the inner round profile 19.
- the fourth embodiment of the implant shown in Fig. 6a or 6b shows an inner round profile 19. From this it can be seen that corresponding polygonal profiles or inner round profiles can be provided for the positive arrangement or for the positive engagement of a tool.
- the polygonal profile 8 or the inner round profile 19 extends from a front side of the implant 2 formed on the implant head 4 over a certain length along the longitudinal axis L.
- the polygonal profile 8 is designed as an internal hexagon profile 9 according to Fig. 1b.
- the design of other polygonal profiles for example an internal square profile, would also be conceivable.
- the recess 7 could, at least partially for the positive arrangement and/or for the positive engagement of a tool, also have a different cross-sectional shape than that of the polygonal profile 8, such as a slot-shaped, cross-shaped or star-shaped cross-sectional shape, in particular for example also an internal round profile 19, in particular an internal square profile as can be seen in Fig. 6b.
- the recess 7 has at least partially an internal thread 10.
- the internal thread 10 can then be used to connect and/or fasten and/or arrange an additional, further structure 11 of the implant system 1, such as in particular an abutment 11.1, a Connectors 11.2, a crown 11.3 and/or a temporary prosthesis, with or on the implant 2 by means of a retaining screw 12.
- Fig. 7 shows a fifth embodiment of the implant system 1, with a fifth embodiment of the implant 2, wherein here the abutment 11.1 is arranged and/or fastened to the implant 2 and/or is effectively connected to the implant 2.
- the abutment 11.1 is designed here as a straight abutment 11.1 with a cylindrical outer circumference, wherein the longitudinal axis of the abutment 11.1 - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the abutment 11.1 with or on the implant 2 - is arranged essentially in the extension of the longitudinal axis L of the implant 2.
- an oblique abutment in contrast, it would also be conceivable for an oblique abutment to be arranged and/or fastened to the implant 2 and/or connected to the implant 2, the longitudinal axis of which is at an angle to the longitudinal axis L of the implant 2.
- Such an inclined abutment then has a through-hole for the retaining screw, wherein the longitudinal axis of the through-hole is then arranged essentially in the extension of the longitudinal axis L of the implant 2.
- Fig. 8 shows a sixth embodiment of the implant system 1 with the fifth embodiment of the implant 2, but here, in contrast to Fig. 7, a connector 11.2 is arranged on the implant 2 and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant 2.
- a healing cap can be effectively connected to an implant 2 and/or arranged on the implant 2.
- the connector 11.2 can be effectively connected to the implant 2 with the help of the retaining screw 12.
- the connector 11.2 has a through-opening.
- the retaining screw 12 can be arranged for mounting and/or arranging the connector 11.2 on the implant 2 - penetrating the connector 11.2 in the area of the through-opening.
- the connector 11.2 preferably has a head region for the effective, in particular force-fitting and/or form-fitting, connection of the connector 11.2 to the healing cap and/or for arranging the healing cap on the connector 11.2. Contrary to the illustration in Fig. 8, the connector could also have an implant region for arranging the connector on the implant, with the implant region then protruding from the connector to the implant into the implant when connected.
- the connector 11.2 has an external thread, in particular in its head region.
- the healing cap (not shown here) can then be connected to the external thread of the connector 11.2, in particular by means of an internal thread of the healing cap.
- FIG. 9 shows a seventh embodiment of the implant system 1, with a sixth embodiment of the implant 2, with a modified outer contour of the implant head 4 and wherein here a crown 11.3 is arranged on the implant 2 and/or fastened and/or effectively connected to the implant 2.
- a crown 11.3 is preferably glued to the implant head 4 for the most permanent connection possible.
- the fifth, sixth and seventh embodiments of the implant 2 according to Figures 7, 8 and 9 can each be produced by grinding down the implant head 4 from the first embodiment of the implant 2, and then a further component can still be arranged on the implant head 4 and/or fastened and/or connected to the implant head 4, as shown in Figures 7, 8 and 9. This is another reason why the implant head 4 is designed to be grindable. After grinding down, an important function of the implant 2 is still ensured, namely that a connection and/or fastening and/or arrangement of a further structure 11 of the implant system 1, such as in particular the abutment 11.1, the connector 11.2, the crown 11.3 and/or the temporary prosthesis, can be realized with or on the implant 2.
- the implant 2 namely the implant body 3 and the implant head 4, is designed in particular as a one-piece component according to all embodiments shown.
- the implant 2 comprises a ceramic material, in particular a zirconium oxide ceramic, or is made from it.
- the implant head 4 has an implant head gingiva region 4.1 adjacent to the implant body 3, wherein the implant head gingiva region 4.1 is provided and/or designed - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6 - to be at least partially enclosed by a gingiva 13 and/or to be in direct contact with the gingiva 13.
- This state is shown in particular in Fig. 2, where the gingiva 13 is shown adjacent to the jawbone 6, in particular above the jawbone 6.
- the gingiva region 4.1 has in particular a cylindrical outer circumference.
- the gingiva region 4.1 could, in contrast, also have a different type of outer circumference, e.g. with a changing outer diameter.
- the implant head 4 has an implant head holding area 4.2 with a substantially constant outer diameter on the side of the implant head gingival area 4.1 facing away from the implant body 3. In particular, the latter does not apply to the implant head gingival area 4.1 shown in Fig. 6a. and 6b.
- the implant head holding region 4.2 has an outer diameter that decreases along the longitudinal axis L, in particular the implant head holding region 4.2 is then tapered or conical.
- the implant head holding area 4.2 has a smaller outer diameter than the implant head gingival area 4.1.
- the implant head holding area 4.2 also has a cylindrical outer circumference according to Fig. 5 and 7.
- the implant head holding region 4.2 has an outer circumference with a changing outer diameter, wherein the outer diameter of the implant head holding region 4.2 then decreases continuously from the implant head gingival region 4.1 to the front side of the implant 2 formed on the implant head 4.
- Other courses and/or other cross-sectional designs of the implant head holding region are also conceivable; in particular, in a further embodiment, the implant head holding region, in particular its outer region, can also be designed to run conically, in particular a corresponding outer edge can be designed to run conically, as shown for example in Figs. 6a and 6b; this should also be noted.
- a bevel 4.3 is formed between the implant head gingiva area 4.1 and the implant head holding area 4.2.
- An edge is formed in the transition between the bevel 4.3 and the implant head gingiva area 4.1 and in the transition between the bevel 4.3 and the implant head holding area 4.2.
- a step-shaped transition with several and/or only a single step is formed between the implant head gingiva area and the implant head holding area.
- only a single step or even just a shoulder can be formed as a transition between the implant head gingiva area and the implant head holding area; this should also be noted.
- a bead-shaped locator section 4.4 with an enlarged outer diameter in comparison to the implant head holding area 4.2 is formed on a front end area of the implant head 4 facing away from the implant body 3.
- an additional, further structure 11 of the implant system 1, in particular a temporary prosthesis can be arranged on the implant 2 and/or connected to the implant 2.
- the bead-shaped locator section 4.4 which is enlarged in comparison to the implant head holding area 4.2,
- the protruding bead of the locator section 4.4 is designed in particular to be semicircular in the cross section of the implant 2, wherein the bead can then be formed by rotating this semicircular shape around the longitudinal axis L.
- a different type of protruding contour could also be implemented to form the locator section.
- the embodiments shown in Fig. 4a or 4b and 6a or 6b show an implant 2 without such a bead.
- the implant head holding region 4.2 and the bevel 4.3 protrude - in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6 - at least partially, in particular completely, from the gingiva 13, as shown in Fig. 2.
- the implant head 4 is thus designed to be grindable, in particular, at least up to the implant head gingiva region 4.1.
- the implant system 1 has - as shown in Fig. 4a and 4b - at least one ring 14, in particular a metal ring.
- the ring 14 can be supported and/or arranged on the implant 2 here in Fig. 4a in the area of the bevel 4.3, so that a part of the implant head 4 protrudes from the ring 14.
- the part of the implant head 4 that then protrudes can be ground down to the ring 14 supported on the implant 2 using a grinding tool 15.
- a grinding tool 15 is shown in particular in Fig. 10c and 10e of the method for individually adjusting the implant 2 of the implant system 1 shown in Figs. 10a to 10e.
- the ring 14 preferably rests against the bevel 4.3 over its entire circumference. It is also conceivable that the ring rests on a step-shaped transition and/or on a shoulder or also on the implant head holding area, in particular here it is supported and/or mounted accordingly, which is explained in more detail below.
- the implant head 4 has at least one connection area 4.5, in particular a notch or a protrusion, for the positive and/or force-fitting arrangement of the ring 14 on the implant 2 and/or for the positive and/or force-fitting connection of the ring 14 to the implant 2.
- the positive and/or force-fitting arrangement of the ring 14 on the implant 2 is shown in Fig. 4a, whereby Fig. 4b exclusively shows the ring 14 from Fig. 4a in a top view.
- the connection area 4.5 is in the In the embodiment of the implant 2 shown in Fig.
- Fig. 4b shows corresponding elevations on the inner circumference of the ring 14, which are not designated in more detail and which then engage in the respective groove-shaped notches of the connecting region 4.5 when the ring 14 is pushed onto the implant head 4.
- the ring 14 shown in Fig. 4b is shown in a position rotated relative to the groove-shaped notches of the connecting region 4.5, and this should also be noted.
- the “reverse case” is also conceivable, namely that the connecting area 4.5 has corresponding groove-shaped elevations, whereby the inner circumference of the ring then has corresponding groove-shaped notches.
- connection area 4.5 extends in the longitudinal direction of the implant head 4 according to the first and second embodiments of the implant 2 over the entire implant head holding area 4.2 and at least partially over the bevel 4.3, as can be seen in particular from Fig. 3, the connection area 4.5 here being designed as a notch.
- connection areas 4.5 are distributed circumferentially on the implant head 4 or in particular four groove-shaped notches.
- the ring 14 has at least one elevation on its inner circumference, preferably several, in particular four elevations distributed circumferentially, as shown in Fig. 4b.
- the elevations of the ring 14 engage in the notches of the implant head 4.
- at least one elevation formed on the implant head engages in at least one notch formed in the ring, which, however, is not shown in this way in Fig. 3 or 4.
- the connecting area 4.5 on the implant head 4 has corresponding groove-shaped notches that run in the longitudinal direction of the implant 2, as shown in Fig. 3 and 4a, but in the area of the bevel these groove-shaped notches are then essentially bent at an angle of 90°, partly extended in the circumferential direction or partly also run all the way around the area of the bevel.
- the ring could then have corresponding elevations in one end area only, which are designed like buttons, for example.
- the connecting area 4.5 is formed in the area of the bevel 4.3 and as a circular notch or elevation.
- a circular notch or elevation Preferably, several, in particular four, such circular notches or elevations are distributed circumferentially on the bevel 4.3.
- an associated ring with at least one, preferably several, in particular four, circular notches or elevations distributed circumferentially on its inner circumference is arranged on the implant 2 in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting manner, a notch then engages in an associated corresponding elevation (or vice versa).
- the implant head 4 here has at least one guide region 4.6, in particular four guide regions 4.6 distributed over the circumference.
- the respective guide region 4.6 is designed in particular as a notch or a groove.
- the ring not shown here in Fig. 6a and 6b, has at least one elevation for engaging in the guide region 4.6, in particular four elevations for engaging in four guide regions 4.6.
- the corresponding elevation or elevations then enable or realize targeted forced guidance of the ring along the longitudinal direction L of the implant 2 in the region of the implant head holding region 4.2 with the aid of the respective guide region 4.6.
- the respective guide region 4.6 extends in the longitudinal direction L of the implant head 4, in particular extends over the entire implant head holding region 4.2.
- the guide area extends partially over the bevel 4.3 that can still be seen here in Fig. 6a and 6b.
- the guide area 4.6 has in particular four notches and/or grooves, whereby the ring (not shown here) then has a corresponding number of elevations, in particular four, formed on its inner circumference.
- the implant head holding area 4.2 has the previously mentioned at least partially, in particular completely, circumferential groove 18 and/or a groove-shaped notch.
- the elevation or the respective elevations of the ring are for the form- and/or force-fitting arrangement of the ring on the implant 2, in particular for its fastening in the axial direction on the implant 2, can be screwed into the groove 18.
- the ring 14 has a height or thickness of 0.3 mm to 3 mm, in particular 0.5 mm to 2 mm, in the longitudinal direction.
- the ring 14 preferably has a substantially constant height over its circumference. It would also be conceivable, however, for the height of the ring to change along its circumference in the radial direction.
- the implant head 4 is at least partially ground down in order to subsequently arrange and/or fasten and/or connect a specific structure 11 and/or a specific further component to the implant 2.
- the grinding is carried out, as shown in Fig. 10c and 10e, by means of a grinding tool 15.
- the areas of the grinding tool 15 suitable for removing material are symbolized by a dotted pattern and contact the implant head 4 during the grinding process.
- a centering pin 16 of the grinding tool 15 is arranged in the recess 7 of the implant 2 in order to support the grinding tool 15 on the implant 2 with the centering pin 16 during the grinding of the implant head 4 and/or to center it accordingly.
- a longitudinal axis of the grinding tool 15 is thus aligned with the longitudinal axis L of the implant 2, in particular so that the longitudinal axis of the grinding tool 15 and the longitudinal axis L of the implant 2 are essentially congruent.
- the grinding tool 15 rotates about its longitudinal axis during grinding.
- a grinding process is also carried out to produce the implant 2 according to its first embodiment from Fig. 10a. to produce the implant 2 according to its second embodiment from Fig. 10b, whereby the bead-shaped locator section 4.4 is ground off.
- the implant 2 may not have a bead, i.e. that the implant 2 shown or illustrated in Figs. 6a and 6b can also be individually adapted using the method described here, i.e. without a bead having to be ground off beforehand.
- the ring 14 is slipped over the implant head 4 until the ring 14 is supported and/or mounted on the implant 2 in the region of the bevel 4.3, so that a part of the implant head 4 protrudes from the ring 14, in particular after the bead-shaped locator section 4.4 has been ground down. This situation is shown in Fig. 10b.
- the implants 2 shown in the embodiments 4a or 4b and 6a or 6b can also be processed accordingly according to the method without a bead having to be ground off, since these implants 2 do not have a bead, this should be pointed out again.
- the implant head 4 is at least partially ground down in order to then arrange and/or fasten a specific structure 11 and/or a specific, further component to the implant 2 and/or to connect it to the implant 2.
- a ring 14 is first slipped over the implant head 4 and/or over an implant head holding area 4.2 and/or arranged thereon until the ring 14 is supported on the implant 2 and/or arranged and/or mounted in such a way that a part of the implant head 4 protrudes from the ring 14.
- the ring 14 can be supported and/or arranged and/or mounted in particular in the region of a bevel 4.3 and/or at a step-shaped transition and/or at an implant head gingival area 4.1, depending on the specific embodiment of the implant 2; this may be pointed out.
- the raised areas formed on the inner circumference of the ring 14 are first aligned with the connecting areas 4.5, which are designed here as notches, and in particular the ring 14 is rotated accordingly. The raised areas are then brought into engagement with the notches. The ring 14 is then moved along the longitudinal axis L until the ring 14 is supported and/or mounted on the implant 2 in the area of the bevel 4.3. The latter applies in particular to the connection areas shown in Figs. 1 to 5.
- the ring with its elevations formed on the inner circumference enters the guide areas 4.6, is displaced along the longitudinal axis L, in particular over the implant head holding area 4.2, and is guided along the guide areas 4.6 here in the direction of the groove 18 and then screwed into the groove 18 with its elevations at the end of the guide areas 4.6.
- connection region 4.5 according to the third embodiment of the implant 2 from Fig. 5 is circular, the alignment of the equally circular elevations or notches then formed on the inner circumference of the ring to the connection regions 4.5 during the displacement of the ring along the longitudinal axis L can only take place shortly before contact or with contact with the bevel 4.3.
- the part of the implant head 4 protruding from the ring 14 according to Fig. 10b and 10c is ground down to the ring 14 supported on the implant 2 with the aid of a face grinding tool 15.1, as shown in Fig. 10c, to form a plateau 17.
- a face grinding tool 15.1 as shown in Fig. 10c
- the area of the face grinding tool 15.1 suitable for removal is preferably ring-shaped on one end of the face grinding tool 15.1.
- the area of the face grinding tool 15.1 suitable for removal is thus arranged in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the face grinding tool 15.1.
- the grinding process is ended in particular when the face grinding tool 15.1 contacts the ring 14.
- Fig. 10d shows the fifth embodiment of the implant 2, which is, for example, part of the fifth or sixth embodiment of the implant system 1 from Fig. 7 and 8.
- the plateau 17 is shown in particular in Fig. 10d.
- the plateau 17 forms the front side of the implant head 4.
- the plateau 17 lies in a plane running perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L.
- the plateau could also be in a plane at an angle to the longitudinal axis L.
- the associated grinding process must then be carried out differently than previously described.
- the implant head 4 is ground on its outer circumference with the aid of a circumferential grinding tool 15.2, which in particular has a specific inner contour, in order to produce a specific outer contour.
- a circumferential grinding tool 15.2 which in particular has a specific inner contour, in order to produce a specific outer contour.
- the seventh embodiment of the implant 2 according to Fig. 10e or Fig. 9 can be produced from the fifth or sixth embodiment of the implant 2 according to Fig. 10d.
- the grinding process itself has already ended, the desired, specific outer contour has therefore already been achieved and only the circumferential grinding tool 15.2 needs to be removed from the implant 2 again.
- the specific inner contour of the circumferential grinding tool 15.2 is curved and rotationally symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the circumferential grinding tool 15.2, which rotates about its longitudinal axis during the grinding process.
- the specific structure 11 and/or the further, specific component is designed as an abutment 11.1, a connector 11.2, a crown 11.3 and/or a temporary prosthesis. It is conceivable that the method described above is interrupted in order to arrange and/or fasten an abutment 11.1, a connector 11.2 or a temporary prosthesis to the implant head 4 for a specific period of time and/or to connect it to the implant head 4.
- the method is carried out outside the oral cavity of a patient. It is also conceivable to carry out parts of the method, eg up to the situation shown in Fig. 9d, outside the oral cavity of the patient and to carry out further method steps, such as grinding the implant head 4 on its outer circumference in the connected and/or fastened and/or arranged state of the implant body 3 with or on the jawbone 6.

Description
Fig. 6a bzw.
Fig. 9 erzeugbar.
