TITRE : Gestion automatisée du positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile
Domaine technique de l’invention
[0001] La présente invention revendique la priorité de la demande française 2300463 déposée le 18.01.2023 dont le contenu (texte, dessins et revendications) est ici incorporé par référence. La présente invention concerne le domaine des appareillages tête haute des véhicules automobiles. L’invention porte en particulier sur un procédé de gestion du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile. L’invention concerne également un dispositif mettant en œuvre un tel procédé, ainsi qu’un véhicule automobile comprenant un tel dispositif. L’invention s’applique aux véhicules automobiles tels que les véhicules terrestres à moteur, notamment les voitures.
Etat de la technique antérieure
[0002] On sait que la plupart des véhicules automobiles modernes sont équipés d’appareillages d’affichage tête haute qui facilitent la lecture d’informations de conduite par le conducteur en affichant ces informations au niveau de la partie inférieure du pare-brise. A l’origine, ces appareillages fonctionnent en utilisant une lame translucide agencée entre le pare-brise et le volant sur laquelle les informations de conduite sont projetées au moyen de composants tels que projecteurs et miroirs. Plus récemment, les appareillages d’affichage tête haute utilisent des projecteurs et des miroirs escamotés derrière le volant et le pare-brise sert de réflecteur pour générer une image virtuelle qui apparaît au conducteur comme une sorte d’hologramme affiché au niveau de la chaussée devant le véhicule. Or, pour pouvoir être vue, cette image virtuelle doit être positionnée au sein d’une portion particulière du champ de vision du conducteur, qu’on appelle parfois la « boite de l’œil » (de l’anglais « eyebox »), qui correspond au volume dans lequel l’on considère en fonction d’un certain nombre de critères que l’œil humain est en mesure de construire une vue acceptable d’une image. Ainsi, compte tenu de ces contraintes, il est fondamental que le conducteur puisse régler en fonction de sa morphologie le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute, i.e. la position de l’image virtuelle. Pour ce faire, les constructeurs ont généralement installé dans les cockpits des véhicules un bouton ou autre joystick qui permet au conducteur de modifier le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute en fonction de sa morphologie. Cependant, un conducteur peut ignorer l’existence dans le cockpit d’un bouton qui permet de positionner l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute du véhicule, par exemple lorsque l’on considère le contexte des flottes de véhicules partagés dans lequel un utilisateur peut tout à fait n’avoir qu’une connaissance partielle des équipements embarqués à bord d’un véhicule qu’il conduit. Dans une telle situation, compte tenu en plus du fait que les moyens de projection des appareillages d’affichage tête haute actuels sont presque invisibles, un conducteur pour lequel l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute n’aurait pas été positionné en fonction de sa morphologie pourrait ne pas visualiser les informations affichées par l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute et ainsi ignorer sa présence à bord du véhicule, au risque alors de ne pas bénéficier des informations que l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute fournit dans le but de favoriser une conduite plus sûre. Résumé de l’invention

L’invention a en particulier pour but de fournir des moyens pour éviter qu’un conducteur puisse être empêché de visualiser le contenu visuel généré par un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile du fait d’un positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de celui-ci inadapté à la morphologie du conducteur. Plus spécifiquement, l’invention a pour objectif de fournir un procédé et un dispositif qui permettent d’automatiser le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile en fonction de la morphologie d’un conducteur, en particulier de sa taille. Par ces moyens, l’invention vise à améliorer l’ergonomie des appareillages d’affichage tête haute des véhicules automobiles et ainsi contribuer à maximiser la sécurité de la conduite.
[0004] Afin d’atteindre ces buts, l’invention concerne, selon un premier aspect, un procédé de gestion, par un dispositif informatique embarqué à bord d’un véhicule automobile, du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute du véhicule, le procédé comprenant les étapes de : i) déterminer des données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur ; et ii) provoquer une adaptation du positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute en fonction des données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur.
[0005] Selon une variante, l’étape i) peut comprendre une étape consistant à déterminer des données caractérisant une valeur de la hauteur à laquelle les yeux du conducteur sont positionnés.

Description détaillée de l’invention
[0016] La figure 1 illustre de manière schématique un véhicule automobile 1 selon l’invention. Celui-ci comprend classiquement un appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 pour afficher des informations au niveau de la partie inférieure du pare- brise du véhicule et une caméra 3 agencée dans l’habitacle du véhicule pour réaliser des prises de vues de la face du conducteur, qui, de manière conventionnelle, est notamment capable de déterminer la position des yeux d’un sujet présent au sein d’une prise de vue. En outre, le véhicule 1 selon l’invention embarque avantageusement un dispositif 100 de gestion du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile au sens de la présente l’invention, tel que décrit ci-dessous, qui met en œuvre un procédé de gestion du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile au sens de la présente invention, tel que décrit plus bas.

[0021] Selon une première étape 201 du procédé selon l’invention, qui, préférentiellement, est réalisée dès lors que le dispositif 100 selon l’invention est activé au moment où le conducteur actionne le contact d’allumage du véhicule, ce qui déclenche l’allumage de la caméra 3, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention détermine des données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur. Pour ce faire, il interagit avec la caméra 3, qui est configurée pour déterminer des données caractérisant les coordonnées des yeux du conducteur à partir d’une prise de vue qu’elle réalise. Et c’est à partir de ces données brutes obtenues de la caméra 3 que le dispositif 100 selon l’invention détermine donc les données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur.
[0022] Préférentiellement, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention procède plus précisément en déterminant des données caractérisant une valeur de la hauteur à laquelle les yeux du conducteur sont positionnés. En effet, c’est principalement la hauteur des yeux du conducteur, i.e. la composante verticale, qui contraint le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2, car la composante horizontale ne varie pas du fait que les yeux d’un conducteur, quelle que soit sa taille, sont toujours positionnés symétriquement par rapport à l’axe du volant. Ensuite, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention procède préférentiellement en déterminant des données caractérisant une valeur de l’amplitude verticale du champ de vision du conducteur à partir des données caractérisant une valeur de la hauteur à laquelle les yeux du conducteur sont positionnés, par exemple en considérant qu’un angle compris entre 3° et 7° s’étend entre chacune des extrémités qui délimitent en hauteur le champ de vision du conducteur.
[0023] Ainsi, au terme de cette première étape du procédé, le dispositif 100 selon a avantageusement déterminé la taille et la capacité de visualisation du conducteur, qui, selon l’invention, sont les paramètres qui conditionnent le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 pour permettre la visualisation appropriée par le conducteur d’une image virtuelle que l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute génère.
[0024] Selon une deuxième étape 202 du procédé selon l’invention, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention provoque une adaptation du positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 en fonction de données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur précédemment obtenues. Pour ce faire, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention interagit préférentiellement avec l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 en lui transmettant des données caractérisant une commande d’adaptation du positionnement de son emplacement d’affichage et l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 exécute la commande dès réception des données transmises en modifiant l’orientation de ses miroirs ou en pilotant de manière spécifique un projecteur de sorte que son emplacement d’affichage varie en conformité avec la commande reçue. Ainsi, au terme de cette deuxième étape 202 du procédé, le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute 2 est avantageusement automatisé selon des données qui caractérisent la morphologie du conducteur.
[0025] Préférentiellement, le dispositif 100 selon l’invention procède plus précisément en provoquant une adaptation de la hauteur de l’emplacement d’affichage mesurée à partir d’une arrête inférieure du pare-brise du véhicule, l’emplacement d’affichage étant par défaut positionné en largeur symétriquement par rapport à l’axe du volant, et ce pour les raisons évoquées précédemment.
[0026] Par conséquent, grâce au procédé et au dispositif selon l’invention décrits ci-dessus, une solution est fournie pour éviter qu’un conducteur puisse être empêché de visualiser les informations générées par l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile du fait d’un positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de celui-ci ne correspondant pas à la morphologie du conducteur. En particulier, on peut grâce au procédé et au dispositif selon l’invention automatiser le positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute d’un véhicule automobile en fonction de la morphologie d’un conducteur, en particulier de sa taille. On permet donc ainsi une amélioration significative de l’ergonomie des appareillages d’affichage tête haute des véhicules automobiles et, de ce fait, une contribution bénéfique à la sécurité de la conduite.

Claims

REVENDICATIONS :
1. Procédé de gestion, par un dispositif informatique (100) embarqué à bord d’un véhicule automobile (1), du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute (2) du véhicule, caractérisé en ce que le procédé comprend les étapes de : i) déterminer des données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur en interagissant avec une caméra (3) agencée dans l’habitacle du véhicule ; et ii) provoquer une adaptation du positionnement de l’emplacement d’affichage de l’appareillage d’affichage tête haute en fonction des données caractérisant la position des yeux du conducteur.
2. Procédé selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que l’étape i) comprend une étape consistant à déterminer des données caractérisant une valeur de la hauteur à laquelle les yeux du conducteur sont positionnés.
3. Procédé selon l’une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que l’étape i) comprend une étape consistant à déterminer des données caractérisant une valeur de l’amplitude verticale du champ de vision du conducteur.
4. Procédé selon l’une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que l’étape ii) comprend une étape consistant à provoquer une adaptation de la hauteur dudit emplacement d’affichage mesurée à partir d’une arrête inférieure du pare-brise du véhicule.
5. Dispositif (100) de gestion du fonctionnement d’un appareillage d’affichage tête haute (2) d’un véhicule automobile, caractérisé en ce que le dispositif comprend au moins une unité de traitement d’informations (101), comprenant au moins un processeur, et un support de stockage de données (102) configurés pour mettre en œuvre un procédé selon l’une des revendications précédentes.
6. Programme d’ordinateur comprenant des instructions de code de programme pour l’exécution des étapes d’un procédé selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4 lorsque ledit programme est exécuté par au moins un processeur.
7. Support utilisable dans un ordinateur, caractérisé en ce qu’un programme selon la revendication 5 y est enregistré.
8. Véhicule automobile (1) comprenant un appareillage d’affichage tête haute, caractérisé en ce qu’il embarque un dispositif (100) selon la revendication 5.
