Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hairbrush with a massage function that enables comprehensive care of the head, such as hair brushing, scalp massage, and facial massage.
- Patent Documents
- the roller would not only interfere with brushing by hitting the scalp, but it would also rotate upon contact with the hair, causing the hair to get tangled around the roller.
- the present invention has been made considering the above-mentioned issues, and its aim is to provide a hairbrush with a built-in massage function that can combine both a hairbrush and a facial roller into a single tool, while preventing the hair from becoming tangled in the roller during activities such as brushing.
- the present invention provides a hairbrush with a massage function, comprising, a longitudinal handle that can be gripped by hand, a main body provided at the tip of the handle and having a plurality of bristles on its surface, and a rotating body provided at the rear end of the handle, which rotates around the longitudinal axis of the handle when pressed against the face.
- a hairbrush and a facial roller can be combined into a single unit, reducing the space required for storage. Additionally, during brushing, by gripping the handle and pressing the palm against the rotating body, it is possible to prevent the rotation of the rotating body, thereby preventing hair from tangling.
- the bristles are provided on the surface of the flat main body, and on the left and right sides of the back surface of the flat main body, protrusions are formed along the longitudinal direction of the handle.
- the palm's hypothenar area or similar can be positioned between the two raised sections, allowing stable use while securely holding the main body.
- a flat grounding surface is formed at the rear end of the rotating body in the extended direction of the handle, allowing the main body and handle to stand upright on a stand.
- the grounding surface can be placed on the mounting base to allow the unit to stand upright.
- the center of gravity can be lowered, enabling the hairbrush to stand upright with greater stability.
- the rotating body is designed to include a curved portion that decreases in radius toward the rear end.
- the length of the handle is set within a range of 3 cm to 10 cm.
- a hairbrush with a massage function comprising, a longitudinal handle that can be gripped by hand, a main body provided at the tip of the handle and having a plurality of bristles on its surface, and a rotating body provided at the rear end of the handle, which rotates around the longitudinal axis of the handle when pressed against the face.
- the hairbrush 1 with a facial roller is structured with a main body 3 equipped with multiple bristles 4 on the front end of a longitudinal handle 2, and a rotating body 5 on the rear end of the handle 2 that rotates when pressed against the face.
- This configuration allows for the integration of a facial roller and a hairbrush 1 into a single unit.
- the rotating body 5 is made to contact the palm's hypothenar to prevent its rotation.
- the handle 2 is designed to be grasped by hand, and as shown in Figures 1 and 2 , it is structured linearly along the longitudinal direction and generally flattened in the width direction.
- the length of the handle 2 is set such that, when grasped by the average adult hand, its rear end is within the palm area, for example, with a length of 3 cm to 10 cm between the bristles 4 and the rotating body 5. This allows, as shown in Figure 1 , the hypothenar of the palm to be placed against the rotating body 5 to prevent it from rotating.
- the handle 2 is designed in a flattened shape here, various cross-sectional shapes such as circular, oval, or polygonal may also be used.
- the main body 3 extending from the front end of the handle 2 is integrally formed and generally flattened, with multiple bristles 4 standing upright on its surface 31.
- These bristles 4 are made up of two bristle elements with spherical tips, differing in length, which are arranged in multiple sets on the surface 31 of the main body 3. As shown in Figure 4 , the height of the bristle tips is set such that the central part is higher along the lateral direction, decreasing towards the sides. This configuration allows for smooth insertion of the bristles 4 into the hair during brushing, and the varying lengths of bristles 4 help press the scalp and provide a massaging effect.
- the rear surface 32 of the main body 3 is provided with two ridges 33 running along the longitudinal direction. These ridges 33 are located on both sides of the rear surface 32, creating a relative indentation in the central part.
- the index finger can be placed on the inclined surface inside the ridges 33 for lateral brushing.
- the palm's hypothenar can be positioned in the recessed area between the left and right ridges 33 to hold the main body 3.
- the rotating body 5 used as a facial roller is provided on the rear end of the handle 2 in the hairbrush 1 structured as described above.
- the rotating body 5 is fitted onto the outer circumference of the shaft 21 that extends from the rear end of the handle 2.
- the bearing part 51 in the center of the rotating body 5 is inserted onto the shaft 21 to enable rotation.
- the shaft 21 When attaching the rotating body 5 to the shaft 21, the shaft 21 is inserted from the opening 52 provided above the bearing part 51 of the rotating body 5, so that the protrusion 22 along the outer surface of the shaft 21 and the recess 53 along the inner wall of the rotating body 5 fit together.
- the bearing part 51 is designed with a closed bottom, but if water accumulates inside the rotating body 5, the lower end of the shaft 21 can penetrate through the rotating body 5, allowing water to drain through the gap between the shaft 21 and the rotating body 5.
- the size of the rotating body 5 is set such that, as shown in Figure 2 , its outer circumference is within the height range of the shorter bristles 4 of the main body 3 and, as shown in Figure 3 , it fits within the width of the main body 3.
- the outer surface of the rear end of the rotating body 5 is configured with a curved section 56 that gradually decreases its rotation radius toward the rear end, allowing it to rotate when pressed against the face.
- the surface of the rotating body 5 is designed with multiple flat sections, as shown in Figure 4 , and the steps between these flat sections provide stimulation to the face during rotation. Note that while this embodiment includes multiple flat sections with steps on the surface of the rotating body 5, a smooth spherical shape can also be used.
- a grounding section 54 is provided at the rear end (bottom end) of the rotating body 5 to enable the hairbrush 1 to stand upright (see Figure 1 ).
- This grounding section 54 is formed as a flat surface at the bottom of the rotating body 5, and a concave part 55 is provided in the central part (see Figures 4 and 5 ) to prevent slipping when the flat grounding section 54 encounters a surface such as a bathtub.
- this hairbrush 1 As a facial roller, as shown in Figure 8 , hold the handle 2 so that the rotating body 5 is at the front end. In this case, position the hypothenar of the palm in the recessed area between the left and right ridges 33 on the rear surface 32 of the main body 3 and grip the handle 2 with your fingers.
- the hairbrush 1 is equipped with a handle 2, which is a longitudinal part that can be gripped by hand, a main body 3 provided at the tip of the handle 2, and a plurality of bristles 4 on its surface 31, and a rotating body 5 provided at the rear end of the handle 2 that rotates when pressed against the face.
- a handle 2 which is a longitudinal part that can be gripped by hand
- a main body 3 provided at the tip of the handle 2
- a plurality of bristles 4 on its surface 31
- a rotating body 5 provided at the rear end of the handle 2 that rotates when pressed against the face.
- the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment and can be implemented in various forms.
- only one rotating body 5 is provided.
- multiple rotating bodies 5 can be arranged along a single shaft 21, and by slightly tilting the rotation axes of the respective rotating bodies 5, they can provide a massage effect by pulling and compressing the skin. In this case, too, the hypothenar area of the hand can be brought into contact with the left and right rotating bodies 5 to prevent them from rotating. If multiple rotating bodies 5 are arranged along the shaft 21, the rotating body 5 closer to the front end can be contacted with the palm, and the rotating body 5 closer to the rear end can be contacted with the wrist or other parts to prevent it from rotating.
- the shaft 21, handle 2, and main body 3 are provided as a single molded part, but the shaft 21 and the rotating body 5 can also be made detachable.
- the shaft 21 is engaged with the rotating body 5 from above, but the rotating body 5 can also be separated into left and right parts and fitted from the left and right sides of the shaft 21.
- At least the vicinity of the lower end of the rotating body 5 can be formed with a resin material that has elasticity, such as urethane or rubber. This increases frictional force against the face, thereby enhancing the massage effect.
- pressing the main body 3 from above can reduce the pressure inside the concave part 55 with the elasticity of the urethane or rubber, allowing it to adhere to the placement surface like a suction cup.
