Definitions
- the present invention relates to a screen device, comprising:
- Such a screen device is typically installed to screen off windows which are arranged at said angle with respect to each other.
- the screens serve as insect screen and/or sunblind and/or blackout curtain, etc.
- such a screen device may also be incorporated, for example, in a roof construction.
- WO2023/021377A1 describes and illustrates examples of screen devices in which an angle profile comprising the screen guides for guiding the screen sides adjacent to the corner is fitted to these windows.
- securing pins are releasably fitted with respect to the screen casings and the angle profile with the screen guides.
- sufficient space is required to this end in order to be able to fit these securing pins so that they are releasable.
- a screen device comprising:
- an angle-securing pin is now provided which is arrangeable in a securing cavity in an angle profile with the screen guides.
- Each of the screen casings may be provided with a separate head plate which is provided with a corresponding securing pin which is arranged in such a way that, when arranging these screen casings at said angle with respect to each other, these securing pins together form an angle-securing pin, with these being fittable in the same securing cavity together in a simple manner.
- these securing pins may to this end be coupled to each other to form the angle-securing pin, but this is not obligatory.
- the securing pins remain arranged separate from each other while being adjacent to each other.
- an angle-head plate which is provided at the corresponding ends of the screen casings and which is provided with a single-part angle-securing pin, of which said securing pins form part.
- the angle-securing pin preferably extends substantially in a plane which divides the angle at which the screen roller axles extend into two virtually equal angles.
- the box profile is preferably designed so as to form a single unit. Using such a box profile, the angle profile can be made sufficiently strong, so that, in theory, it does not bend when subjected to wind loads.
- a said box profile is a hollow profile which preferably has a substantially polygonal cross section.
- this box profile has a virtually trapezoidal cross section.
- this box profile could have, for example, a substantially triangular cross section.
- the box profile preferably comprises a base cavity in which securing walls extend which delimit the securing cavity and which, in the fitted state, extend on either side of the angle-securing pin.
- Such securing walls may be provided locally where they have to secure the angle-securing pin or may alternatively be provided along the entire height of the angle profile.
- These securing walls may extend between base walls of the box profile.
- these securing walls may be configured to be interrupted between such base walls.
- the base cavity may thus be delimited, for example, by base walls of the box profile, with a first said securing wall on a first side of the base cavity being upright with respect to these base walls so as to extend on a first side of the angle-securing pin, a second said securing wall on a second side of the base cavity opposite the first side being upright with respect to the base walls so as to extend on the first side of the angle-securing pin, a third said securing wall on the first side of the base cavity being upright with respect to the base walls so as to extend on a second side of the angle-securing pin opposite the first side, and a fourth said securing wall on the second side of the base cavity being upright with respect to the base walls so as to extend on the second side of the angle-securing pin.
- the first securing wall and the third securing wall are in this case preferably arranged substantially parallel to each other and are provided with ends which diverge away from the base walls.
- the second securing wall and the fourth securing wall are arranged preferably substantially parallel to each other and provided with ends which diverge away from the base walls. Using ends which diverge, it is easier to arrange the angle-securing pin smoothly between the securing walls, with the parts of the securing walls which are arranged virtually parallel to each other making it possible to secure the securing walls sufficiently well. At the location of the parts which are arranged virtually parallel to each other, more precise tolerances may then be used to tightly secure the angle-securing pin.
- the angle-securing pin preferably comprises an end which narrows away from the screen casings. By means of such a narrowing end, the angle-securing pin can smoothly be arranged in the securing cavity.
- each of the screen casings comprises a rear wall on a rear side, a top wall on a top side, a bottom wall on a bottom side, and a front wall on a front side.
- These walls of the screen casings may be provided separately, but may also, for example, form part of a building in which the screen device is accommodated.
- a delimitation of a cavity of an outer wall of such a building may also serve as a wall to form such a screen casing.
- the rear wall is usually the wall which is attached to a structure situated behind it.
- a screen casing may also be attached, for example, to a neighbouring structure by means of its top wall.
- the rear wall of the screen casings is configured to be arranged so that it faces this window.
- the rear wall will be facing the inner side of this roof construction.
- the rear walls of the screen casings adjoin each other at said angle.
- the angle profile is preferably accommodable in the screen device from the front side to the rear side in order to accommodate it in the fitted state of the screen device.
- the angle profile is preferably fittable at the bottom of the screen casings via a tilting motion, with the angle-securing pin being accommodated in the securing cavity.
- the point of the angle-securing pin which is furthest from the screen casings is in this case preferably arranged closer to the front walls of the screen casings than to the rear walls of the screen casings.
- Such a form of the angle-securing pin increases the possibility of achieving a tilting motion with a satisfactory securement with the angle profile.
- the asymmetrical shape of the securing pin also makes it possible to fit the bottom side of the angle profile on a base with a limited intermediate space, so that a finishing element or a base plate and/or bracket required to finish this angle profile at the bottom with respect to a base or to fit it to this base can be less high. Keeping this intermediate space limited is deemed to be more aesthetic.
- the box profile preferably comprises a front wall which adjoins the front walls of these screen casings while adjoining these screen casings. In the fitted state, this front wall preferably extends at right angles to the plane in which the angle-securing pin substantially extends.
- the angle profile may be made slimmer.
- Such a front wall also increases the strength and stiffness of such an angle profile.
- the box profile furthermore preferably comprises a rear wall which adjoins the rear walls of the screen casings while adjoining these screen casings and which, in the fitted state, extends at right angles to the plane in which the angle-securing pin substantially extends.
- a rear wall By also providing such a rear wall, such an angle profile can also be positioned at a distance from glazing.
- At least a part of said securing walls is preferably upright with respect to said front wall.
- securing walls may also be provided which are upright with respect to side walls which are upright with respect to such a front wall and/or with respect to a said rear wall.
- the screen guides of the angle profile preferably each comprise a rear wall and two side walls which are upright with respect to the rear wall in order to delimit a receiving cavity for accommodating a lateral side of the corresponding screen therein, with the box profile comprising these rear walls of the screen guides.
- These rear walls of the screen guides more specifically preferably form side walls of the box profile which are upright with respect to the front wall and/or with respect to a rear wall of this box profile.
- the front wall of the box profile is then preferably designed to be thicker than these side walls of the box profile in order to have a greater impact on the stiffness and torsion strength of the angle profile.
- a rear wall of the box profile is preferably also designed to be thicker than the side walls of the box profile.
- the screen guides may comprise one or more further profiles which are then releasably attachable with respect to said rear wall and side walls of these screen guides.
- the box profile preferably also comprises the side walls of the screen guides of the angle profile in order to produce a particularly stiff and compact unit.
- the angle profile is furthermore preferably symmetrical with respect to a plane which extends at virtually equal angles with respect to each of the screen roller axles, so that forces on the various screens can be absorbed in a similar manner.
- This plane is preferably the same plane as the plane in which the angle-securing pin substantially extends.
- the angle profile comprises a set of finishing profiles which are each releasably attachable to the box profile so as to be individually replaceable.
- finishing profiles provides maximum freedom of design in which case finishing profiles having different shapes and/or made of other materials may give the angle profile a different aesthetic appearance.
- finishing profiles having different shapes and/or made of other materials may give the angle profile a different aesthetic appearance.
- a rounded shape may be provided or a box profile in aluminium may be finished with a finishing profile made of wood or Trespa, etc.
- the box profile may, more specifically, be provided with fastening means, in which case the finishing profiles are provided with corresponding fastening means to releasably attach the finishing profiles to the box profile.
- these fastening means may, for example, be provided in order to bring about a click-fit connection.
- the fastening means of the box profile are provided on the front wall of this box profile.
