- a fluid dispensing device In general, a fluid dispensing device, especially one with a pump, must be primed before use. This means that the air in the dosing chamber must be replaced with fluid. This may require several actuations of the device, resulting in a partial dispensing of the fluid. Particularly for certain types of fluid, such as medications, it is crucial to ensure that the first dose dispensed is complete and accurate. In some cases, up to five priming actuations may be necessary. This is achieved by removing the protective cap used to seal and protect the dispensing orifice, and then actuation of the device in the air the required number of times to guarantee a complete dose on the first actual use. Depending on the nature of the fluid, these priming actuations in the air may be undesirable or even dangerous.

Claims (7)
- Vorrichtung zum Abgeben eines fluiden Produkts, aufweisend einen Behälter (1) für das fluide Produkt, ein Abgabeelement (2), wie eine an dem Behälter (1) angebrachte Pumpe oder ein in dem Behälter (1) gleitender Kolben, einen Abgabekopf (4) mit einer Abgabeöffnung (6) und eine Ansaugkappe (10), die dazu bestimmt ist, den Abgabekopf (4) in einer Schließstellung zu bedecken, wobei der Abgabekopf (4) eine axiale Endwand umfasst, die mit der Abgabeöffnung (6) versehen ist, wobei die Ansaugkappe Fluidauffangmittel (20) umfasst, um in der Schließstellung bei Ansaugbetätigungen der Abgabevorrichtung durch die Abgabeöffnung (6) abgegebenes Fluid aufzunehmen und zurückzuhalten, wobei die Ansaugkappe (10) eine obere axiale Wand (13) aufweist, die mit einer Seitenwand (11) verbunden ist, wobei die Auffangmittel (20) eine Innenhülse (21) aufweisen, die in der Seitenwand (11) befestigt ist und einen Auffangraum (23) zwischen der Innenhülse (21) und der Ansaugkappe (10) definieren, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Innenhülse (21) eine etwa radiale axiale Bodenwand (25) aufweist, die eine Öffnung (22) aufweist, wobei sich die axiale Bodenwand (25) in Schließstellung der Ansaugkappe (10) auf der axialen Endwand des Abgabekopfs (4) positioniert, mit der Öffnung (22), die der Abgabeöffnung (6) zugewandt positioniert ist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Seitenwand (11) mit Befestigungsmitteln (14) versehen ist, um die Ansaugkappe (10) in Schließstellung auf dem Abgabekopf (4) zu halten.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, aufweisend einen Kontaktabschnitt (16), der zum Zusammenwirken mit einer axialen Endwand des Abgabekopfes (4) bestimmt ist, der die Abgabeöffnung (6) aufweist.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die obere axiale Wand (13) ein Innenprofil (12), insbesondere in gewölbter Form, aufweist, das dazu geeignet ist, das aus der Abgabeöffnung (6) austretende Fluid zu den Seiten hin zu leiten, um zu verhindern, dass es direkt in die Abgabeöffnung (6) zurückströmt.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei sich der Auffangraum (23) seitlich um einen oberen Teil der Innenhülse (21) erstreckt, wodurch das aufgefangene Fluid in einen unteren Teil des Auffangraums (23) abfließen und dort verbleiben kann.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Seitenwand (11) der Ansaugkappe (10) zumindest teilweise durchsichtig oder durchscheinend ist, damit man das Fluid sehen kann, das im Auffangraum (23) nach den Ansaugbetätigungen vorhanden ist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Seitenwand (11) eine äußere Markierung (19) wie eine Rippe aufweist, die eine Ansaugkontrolle bildet.
