Abstract

The present invention relates to an energy recovery device comprising: a gerotor; an electric generator operatively coupled to the gerotor; and one or more valves in fluid communication with a passage bypassing the gerotor, wherein at least one of the one or more valves is adapted to selectively open to limit a pressure applied to the gerotor by allowing a fluid to flow through the passage.
