Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a strapping device and a method for producing strapped bundles according to the features of the independent claims.
  • Bundles are an effective way of allowing multiple items to be handled at once, for example to facilitate the transport of multiple items at once.
  • Containers made up of several items held together are therefore the most common variant of sales units for many items, such as beverage containers.
  • the articles can be, for example, objects such as packaged or unpackaged objects, cardboard boxes, containers such as beverage bottles or cans, or in turn bundles made up of several objects, with the objects of a bundle themselves, for example, by means of an enclosure that the articles of the container on the periphery of the group of articles are held together, for example in the form of a strap, an outer packaging such as a wrap, a shrink tube or a cardboard box, a cardboard box or a carrying frame, to name just a few conceivable versions.
  • An enclosure can be used to wrap an object or multiple objects held together by an enclosure at the same time.
  • beverage containers can not only be held together by means of shrink film wrappings, wrappings or a carton to form bundles, but can also be packed at the same time.
  • the articles are first put together according to a desired arrangement within an article group to form a bundle and then folded over with a fastening tape, the so-called strapping tape, during the strapping.
  • the strap placed around the outside of the article grouping is then tensioned, secured and cut using a strapping device.
  • Strapping devices use so-called strap frames in which the strapping strap is guided around the group of articles to be strapped. A ring shape of the strap is created.
  • a strapping head with a strap frame is described, for example, in DE 102014225 880 A1.
