Description

    Cross-Reference to Related Applications
  • The present disclosure claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202011163680.0 , entitled "Tobacco Product and Plant-Flavored Filter Stick Thereof, and Preparation Method Therefor", filed with the Chinese Patent Office on October 27, 2020, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference in entirety.
  • Technical Field
  • The present disclosure relates to the field of cigarette, and particularly to a tobacco product and a plant-flavored filter stick thereof, and a preparation method therefor.
  • Background Art
  • With the increasing call for smoke banning internationally and as cigarette consumers increasingly value their own health, low-tar and low-harm cigarettes have become the new normal in the tobacco market. However, the reduction of tar and harm inevitably leads to the loss of cigarette aroma and a deterioration in comfort. While adding flavor to the cigarette can support and supplement cigarette aroma, remove and cover up miscellaneous gases, thereby not only reducing the irritation of cigarettes, but also endowing the cigarette products with elegant characteristic aroma, such that the personalized style of cigarette products is highlighted. The development and application of adding flavor to the cigarette is becoming one of the key technologies to maintain the aroma of cigarettes in the work of reducing harm and tar.
  • Currently, cigarette aroma addition mainly includes two methods: cigarette component aroma addition and cigarette accessory aroma addition. Because the amount of aroma added to cigarettes by the cigarette component aroma addition method is limited, and cigarette accessory aroma addition can make up for the shortcomings of insufficient aroma addition amount by the cigarette component aroma addition, most of the existing research and development of cigarettes are carried out towards the method of cigarette accessory aroma addition.
  • Cigarette accessory aroma addition is mainly achieved through the addition of aroma to cigarette paper, liner paper, tipping paper, and filter stick. However, cigarette paper itself burns, liner paper and tipping paper have defects like limitations on aroma addition amount and short aroma retention time. Therefore, cigarette accessory aroma addition mainly is aroma addition to filter stick. Aroma addition to cigarette filter stick mainly includes aroma addition by bubbles, tows and particles. Aroma addition by bubbles has high cost and is limited by the addition of oily flavor substances. Aroma addition by tows and particles have problems such as low adsorption of flavor substances and uneven aroma addition.

  • In addition, in the step (S2), squeezing the wet material can make the formed wet material more compact, which is beneficial for the cut and separated wet material to adsorb more essence.
  • Preferably, the preparation method of the plant-flavored filter stick can include the following step:
(S8) after spraying the essence onto the cut and separated wet material to form the semi-processed flavored wet material, placing the semi-processed flavored wet material in an airtight environment at 23±2°C and a humidity of 60±5% for a predetermined period of time, so that the semi-processed product of the flavored wet material can fully absorb the sprayed essence.
  • Example 1
  • The block-shaped wet material was made by mixing 4.5 parts by weight of plant raw material powder with aroma, 5 parts by weight of smoking agent, 5 parts by weight of adhesive and 5 parts by weight of water, meanwhile the plant-flavored filter stick was made according to the above-mentioned preparation method, wherein the essence can be peppermint oil to prepare the plant-flavored filter stick.
  • Comparative Example 1
  • The filter stick was made according to the method of prior art. After soaking the filter stick directly in the essence (peppermint oil) for 1 h, the essence on the surface was wiped off to obtain an essence-soaked filter stick.
  • After the filter sticks in Example 1 and Comparative Example were placed at 22°C and 60% relative humidity for different periods of time, the aroma retention capacity of the two filter sticks was compared. The aroma components in the two samples can be identified by using SPME-GC/MS. GC internal standard method can be used for content determination, in which the chromatographic column can be HP-5 capillary column (30 m×0.32 mm×0.25 µm), with 1-octanol as the internal standard. The specific results are shown in the table below. It can be seen from the following Table 1 that the plant-flavored filter stick of Example 1 has a much greater retention capacity for aroma substances than that of the Comparative Example. Table 1

  • It is worth mentioning that when making the plant-flavored filter stick, the present disclosure adopts the method of spraying first and then extruding, so that the sprayed essence can be fully mixed with the wet material. After extrusion, the channels through which the essence is emitted can be more compact, which can delay the preservation time of the essence.
  • Those skilled in the art should understand that the embodiments of the present disclosure shown in the above description are only examples and do not limit the present disclosure. The purpose of the present disclosure has been fully and effectively achieved. The functions and structural principles of the present disclosure have been shown and described in the examples, and any deformation or modification can be made to the embodiments of the present disclosure without departing from the principles.
  • Industrial Applicability
  • The present disclosure provides a tobacco product and a plant-flavored filter stick thereof, and a preparation method therefor, wherein the plant-flavored filter stick can be implemented as a filter stick having a gas hole passing through two ends of the filter segment, and the plant-flavored filter stick includes: 4-5 parts by weight of plant raw material powder with aroma, 4-6 parts by weight of smoking agent, 4-6 parts by weight of adhesive and 4-6 parts by weight of water, which can achieve the flavor-enhancing of tobacco products. The plant-flavored filter stick uses the natural aroma of the filter stick itself and the aroma emitted by the flavor-enhancing substance added to the filter stick to enhance the aroma of tobacco products. In addition, the plant-flavored filter stick can avoid the loss and thermal degradation (the escape and pyrolysis) of flavor-enhancing substances during storage and smoking of tobacco products.
  • In addition, it can be understood that a tobacco product and a plant-flavored filter stick thereof, and a preparation method therefor of the present disclosure are reproducible and can be applied in various applications. For example, the preparation method of a plant-flavored filter stick of the present disclosure can be applied to produce a plant-flavored filter stick.
