Definitions
- the present invention relates to a suction lance.
- Suction lances are used to remove liquids (fluid media) from containers, in particular fuels, operating resources, agents for reducing exhaust gas constituents, disinfectants or cleaning agents and other fluid media. They are reversibly attachable to a container.
- Suction lances generally have a head part that is attached to the outside of the container in the operating state and one or more tubes that protrude into the container and thus into the fluid medium (liquid) and carry the medium in the operating state and that are possibly held in a foot part .
- the foot part can stand up on the bottom of the container, but often hangs freely in the container and has no contact with the bottom of the container or is missing entirely. If present, it has one or more inlet openings for the liquid to enter and pass through the tube or tubes.
- the pipes are connected media-tight to the foot and head parts, with a second pipe, if present, serving as a return line.
- Suction lances can also have a float or, in general, a sensor, by means of which the liquid level in the container or other properties of the liquid, such as its temperature, etc. can be detected.
- the head part usually has connections for passing on the liquid (the fluid medium removed) taken from the container to downstream pump-dosing systems.
- the suction lances should enable safe removal of the fluid medium in the container. This is especially true when the container is in its spatial orientation during removal changed, in particular tilted or turned upside down or subjected to vibrations or shaken.
- connection options for example a connection piece with an external thread or one with a smooth wall.
- diameters of the respective removal openings differ from one another in different containers.
- the DE 10 2019 102 033 A1 discloses a suction lance in which a tube is accommodated in a sleeve element made of rigid material that can be displaced on it and which in turn passes through a coaxial opening of a cap lid with an internal retaining contour, wherein the cap lid with a retaining contour can be screwed/slid onto an external thread of a container opening in the manner of an internal thread and the latching projections of the holding contour engage in the external thread of the container.
- this known cap cover is formed from an elastically deformable material. It also has an air vent. This suction lance can be adapted to different containers by exchanging one cap lid for another.
- the object of the invention is to specify a suction lance that can be attached to different containers in a simpler manner.
- a suction lance having at least one tube and a guide body made of an elastomeric material and axially displaceable on this tube, having a holding area for a Connecting body, further having a conical area adjoining the holding area axially, the radially largest area of which is axially closer to the holding area than its radially smallest area, further having a connecting body for the detachable connection of the suction lance to a removal opening of a container, wherein the connecting body is attached to the holding area of the Guide body is attached, wherein the conical portion of the guide body is designed due to its material, its radial size and the shape of its outer contour to act as a sealing body in a removal opening of a container when in use.
- the invention enables the use of the guide body of the tube at the same time as a sealing body at a removal opening of a container and thus greatly expands the types of containers for which the suction lance according to the invention can be used.
- This can be fastened to a container both by different connecting bodies and by the guide body itself.
- these two bodies are each available for attachment alone or together, which leads to a particularly reliable attachment of the suction lance to the container.
- the guide body is initially formed from an elastomeric, soft material that can be deformed even with little effort and that can contact the inner wall or the edge of a removal opening in a sealing manner.
- the guide body is designed with a conical area with an in particular smooth outer contour in the manner of a lateral surface of a truncated cone, which thus provides different diameters for sealing along its axial extent, whereby this guide body allows both narrow and wider removal openings up to the maximum radial size of the conical Area can be closed tightly.
- the inside of the guide body has two retaining collars, which are spaced apart axially from one another, for contact with the tube, in particular retaining collars that are adapted to the outer contour of a rounded rectangular tube. These retaining collars are used to guide the pipe and seal its outside so that any liquid that may creep along there cannot get to the outside and thus to a user of the suction lance.
- a particularly advantageous development of the invention provides that the holding area is approximately U-shaped in cross section of the guide body, with the base of the U being located radially inward in relation to the radially largest area of the conical area. This enables a particularly secure and firm connection between the guide body and the connecting body, since the latter is encompassed by the legs of the U.
- a first end of the guide body is formed by one of the two retaining collars and an axially opposite second end of the guide body is formed by a gripping and sliding collar, which in particular is radially larger than the radially largest area of the conical area of the guide body and which preferably has a radial recess such that a receiving space for a weld seam is formed on the pipe.
- the grip collar enables the guide body to be displaced axially along the longitudinal axis of the tube accommodated in it simply by gripping it.
- the axially running, radial recess forms a receiving space open on one side at the second end of the guide body, so that it can be pushed up to the stop on the pipe end, where this is usually connected to other components of the suction lance by means of a bead-like weld seam or a connecting piece, as explained at the beginning.
- This in turn enables the tube to be immersed particularly deeply into the container, since the components of the suction lance according to the invention used to attach it to the container are arranged practically at the very end of the tube.
- a retaining collar has one or more radially re-entrant sealing lips and/or an axial groove, in particular a ventilation groove, a particularly tight fit on the outer wall of the pipe is made possible with great advantage, so that no liquid can creep out along the pipe.
- a ventilation groove prevents this function, it advantageously allows a constructively simple ventilation, ie a simple compensation of the volume of liquid removed by outside air flowing into the container.
- the guide body has a connecting piece for returning media or for venting the container. This alternative to the vent groove is preferred because it both seals the tube and allows for volume equalization.
- the guide body is formed from one of the materials from the group formed by silicone, EPDM, TPE, TPU, FKM, NBR, rubber, natural rubber, and/or has a Shore A hardness of between 40 and 60 , borders included. These materials are particularly well suited, on the one hand, to the desired sealing function of the guide body according to the invention allow as well as being particularly resistant or inert to the liquids/media to be removed.
- the guide body is designed as a hollow body, in the hollow space of which at least one retaining collar is designed to protrude axially. Due to its deformability, a hollow body is even better suited to performing a sealing function.
- the connecting body is a screw cap, a slip-on lid, a slip-on cap or a disk-like insert.
- the guide body has an elliptical cross section, in particular over the axial length of the conical area.
- Such an elliptical cross-section of the conical area shows improved clamping behavior while at the same time facilitating insertion into the opening of the container.
- This elliptical cross-section is deformed into a round cross-section when it is pressed in and thus rests securely on the wall of the opening. In other words, this results in improved clamping behavior with a significantly reduced insertion force.
- FIG. 1 shows in part figure a an axial section of an embodiment of the suction lance 1 with tube 2 which is accommodated in a guide body 3 .
- a Fastened connecting body 5 which is designed here as a slip-on cap 24 and which is slipped onto a socket at a removal opening of a container.
- part b shows a connecting body 5 as a screw cap 22 that is screwed onto an external thread of a removal opening of a container
- part c shows a connecting body 5 as a slip-on cover 24 that is clipped onto a socket at a removal opening of a container.
- the holding area 4 Due to the configuration of the holding area 4 as an approximately U-shaped area in cross section, it offers attachment or holding options for the different connecting bodies 5 .
- the guide body 3 itself can also function according to the invention as a sealing body in a removal opening
- a colored insert in the form of a disc through which the guide body 3 passes is also a form of a connecting body according to the invention, even if this insert is not connected to a container manufactures.
- by selecting a color it can quickly display the contents of a container.
- FIG. 2a shows an arrangement of a guide body 3 according to the invention in a removal opening 25 of a container 26, the removal opening being understood to mean both the actual opening and the associated connecting piece 18 with an external thread.
- the connection body 5 is omitted in this representation.
- the guide body 3 seals via its outer contour 9 - a truncated cone surface - at the edge of the neck of the container 26 due to its elastomeric material, its shape and its axial extension with its conical area 6.
- this type of seal is possible for all extraction openings 25 that have an opening diameter less than or equal to have different diameters of the conical portion 6.
- a slip cap 24 according to Fig.
- the soft, elastomeric guide body 3 can also be arranged in a clamping and sealing manner in a removal opening 25 if the opening widths are very large, as shown in partial figure 2b.
- it is not the surface of the truncated cone or the cone-shaped area 6 that is compressed, but rather the base of the truncated cone itself. Due to the large contact surface, this represents a particularly tight and secure connection between the suction lance and the container.
- FIG. 3 shows in part figure a a sectional view through a first embodiment of a guide body 3 according to the invention.
- This is designed as a hollow body with an interior 10 that is not here tube 2 shown is interspersed.
- This pipe is contacted at an axial distance to two retaining collars 11, one of which is arranged at the first end 13 of the guide body 3 and which also serves to stabilize the pipe guide.
- the second retaining collar 11 has two sealing lips 19 which rest against the outer wall of the tube and prevent liquid from escaping between the tube and the guide body.
- An axial groove that may be present and penetrates the two sealing lips 19 serves to ventilate the interior of the container and thus facilitates the removal of liquid, even if this reduces the fluid tightness somewhat.
- the through-opening area of the two retaining collars 11 is designed as a rounded rectangle and is therefore suitable for rectangular tubes, as can be seen in particular from partial figure 3b.
- Other through opening surfaces are also in accordance with the invention, in particular circular or oval, depending on the nature of the tube.
- the upper retaining collar 11 lying in the direction of the second end 14 transitions into a sliding collar 15 on which the relative axial position of the guide body 3 to form a tube can be changed. Due to the soft material of the guide body 3, frequent axial adjustment is possible without it no longer being in firm contact with the pipe due to abrasion. This is the case in particular with the known guide bodies made of a hard material such as PVC, which only allow very few axial changes in position. With these, the necessary hard mounting of the connecting bodies wears out quickly so that they can no longer be firmly connected to the hard guide bodies.
- the base of the U 12 and the flanks 27 branching off from it serve to clamp a connecting body, just like the base of the U 12 itself, as described above.
- the sliding collar 15 jumps in radially in such a way that an axially-radially running receiving space 17 is formed, in particular a conical one, in which, for example, a weld seam at the end of the pipe can be accommodated, so that the pipe can be arranged as deep as possible in the container, since it is held as far as possible at its upper end.
- Partial figure 3b shows a perspective sectional view of a second embodiment in which in particular a connecting piece 18 is provided for ventilation, so that the upper retaining collar 11 bears completely sealingly against the pipe wall.
- this connecting piece 18 can also be used to return removed liquid to the container.
- a complex adjustment of the insertion depth of the suction lance, for example by means of clamping rings and nuts, can advantageously be omitted, since the connecting body described can be moved axially in a simple but durable manner and also assumes a sealing and holding function for the suction lance.
- an elliptical cross section is also understood to mean an oval cross section.
- the elliptical cross section does not extend as far as the displacement collar 15, but is connected to it via an axial section of the guide body 3, which has a circular cross section.
- a thickening 21 can also be seen, which is arranged in the radially largest area 7 .
- a recess 20 for venting a container is provided in the sliding collar 15 .
- Such a recess represents the simplest possibility for such a ventilation.

Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Sauglanze. The present invention relates to a suction lance.
Suction lances are used to remove liquids (fluid media) from containers, in particular fuels, operating resources, agents for reducing exhaust gas constituents, disinfectants or cleaning agents and other fluid media. They are reversibly attachable to a container.
Suction lances generally have a head part that is attached to the outside of the container in the operating state and one or more tubes that protrude into the container and thus into the fluid medium (liquid) and carry the medium in the operating state and that are possibly held in a foot part . The foot part can stand up on the bottom of the container, but often hangs freely in the container and has no contact with the bottom of the container or is missing entirely. If present, it has one or more inlet openings for the liquid to enter and pass through the tube or tubes. The pipes are connected media-tight to the foot and head parts, with a second pipe, if present, serving as a return line. Suction lances can also have a float or, in general, a sensor, by means of which the liquid level in the container or other properties of the liquid, such as its temperature, etc. can be detected. The head part usually has connections for passing on the liquid (the fluid medium removed) taken from the container to downstream pump-dosing systems.
The suction lances should enable safe removal of the fluid medium in the container. This is especially true when the container is in its spatial orientation during removal changed, in particular tilted or turned upside down or subjected to vibrations or shaken.
Different containers have a wide variety of connection options at their respective removal openings, for example a connection piece with an external thread or one with a smooth wall. In addition, the diameters of the respective removal openings differ from one another in different containers.
Suction lances are therefore known from the prior art which are designed for containers with specific connection devices and which cannot be reliably mounted on containers with other connection devices.
The object of the invention is to specify a suction lance that can be attached to different containers in a simpler manner.
This object is achieved by a suction lance, having at least one tube and a guide body made of an elastomeric material and axially displaceable on this tube, having a holding area for a Connecting body, further having a conical area adjoining the holding area axially, the radially largest area of which is axially closer to the holding area than its radially smallest area, further having a connecting body for the detachable connection of the suction lance to a removal opening of a container, wherein the connecting body is attached to the holding area of the Guide body is attached, wherein the conical portion of the guide body is designed due to its material, its radial size and the shape of its outer contour to act as a sealing body in a removal opening of a container when in use.
With great advantage, the invention enables the use of the guide body of the tube at the same time as a sealing body at a removal opening of a container and thus greatly expands the types of containers for which the suction lance according to the invention can be used. This can be fastened to a container both by different connecting bodies and by the guide body itself. Thus, according to the invention, these two bodies are each available for attachment alone or together, which leads to a particularly reliable attachment of the suction lance to the container.
For this purpose, the guide body is initially formed from an elastomeric, soft material that can be deformed even with little effort and that can contact the inner wall or the edge of a removal opening in a sealing manner. In addition, the guide body is designed with a conical area with an in particular smooth outer contour in the manner of a lateral surface of a truncated cone, which thus provides different diameters for sealing along its axial extent, whereby this guide body allows both narrow and wider removal openings up to the maximum radial size of the conical Area can be closed tightly.
The possibility according to the invention of being able to fasten the suction lance both through the connecting body on the outside of the extraction opening and through the conical area on the inside thereof is particularly advantageous.
In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the inside of the guide body has two retaining collars, which are spaced apart axially from one another, for contact with the tube, in particular retaining collars that are adapted to the outer contour of a rounded rectangular tube. These retaining collars are used to guide the pipe and seal its outside so that any liquid that may creep along there cannot get to the outside and thus to a user of the suction lance.
A particularly advantageous development of the invention provides that the holding area is approximately U-shaped in cross section of the guide body, with the base of the U being located radially inward in relation to the radially largest area of the conical area. This enables a particularly secure and firm connection between the guide body and the connecting body, since the latter is encompassed by the legs of the U.
In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that a first end of the guide body is formed by one of the two retaining collars and an axially opposite second end of the guide body is formed by a gripping and sliding collar, which in particular is radially larger than the radially largest area of the conical area of the guide body and which preferably has a radial recess such that a receiving space for a weld seam is formed on the pipe. The grip collar enables the guide body to be displaced axially along the longitudinal axis of the tube accommodated in it simply by gripping it. The axially running, radial recess forms a receiving space open on one side at the second end of the guide body, so that it can be pushed up to the stop on the pipe end, where this is usually connected to other components of the suction lance by means of a bead-like weld seam or a connecting piece, as explained at the beginning. This in turn enables the tube to be immersed particularly deeply into the container, since the components of the suction lance according to the invention used to attach it to the container are arranged practically at the very end of the tube.
If a retaining collar has one or more radially re-entrant sealing lips and/or an axial groove, in particular a ventilation groove, a particularly tight fit on the outer wall of the pipe is made possible with great advantage, so that no liquid can creep out along the pipe. Although a ventilation groove prevents this function, it advantageously allows a constructively simple ventilation, ie a simple compensation of the volume of liquid removed by outside air flowing into the container.
In a development of the invention, it is provided that the guide body has a connecting piece for returning media or for venting the container. This alternative to the vent groove is preferred because it both seals the tube and allows for volume equalization.
In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the guide body is formed from one of the materials from the group formed by silicone, EPDM, TPE, TPU, FKM, NBR, rubber, natural rubber, and/or has a Shore A hardness of between 40 and 60 , borders included. These materials are particularly well suited, on the one hand, to the desired sealing function of the guide body according to the invention allow as well as being particularly resistant or inert to the liquids/media to be removed.
In particular, the guide body is designed as a hollow body, in the hollow space of which at least one retaining collar is designed to protrude axially. Due to its deformability, a hollow body is even better suited to performing a sealing function.
Finally, in an embodiment of the invention, it is also provided that the connecting body is a screw cap, a slip-on lid, a slip-on cap or a disk-like insert. With great advantage, the invention makes it possible to exchange a connecting body for one of the others mentioned, all of which are fastened to the holding area. This holding area is designed in such a way that these covers/caps can be pulled onto the guide body without dismantling any floats that may be present on the suction lance.
In a further development of the suction lance, it is provided that the guide body has an elliptical cross section, in particular over the axial length of the conical area. Such an elliptical cross-section of the conical area, in particular between its largest and smallest radial extent, shows improved clamping behavior while at the same time facilitating insertion into the opening of the container. This elliptical cross-section is deformed into a round cross-section when it is pressed in and thus rests securely on the wall of the opening. In other words, this results in improved clamping behavior with a significantly reduced insertion force.
The further development according to which the radially largest area of the conical area has a thickening is particularly advantageous. This additional thickening further improves the holding power in the elliptical area and makes it easier to insert. The ones according to the invention Connecting bodies such as screw caps, slip-on lids, slip-on caps or inserts can be easily slid over this thickening and are thus retained even better in the holding area of the guide body. In one embodiment of the invention, this holding area is itself designed with an elliptical cross section.
If a recess for ventilation is provided in the sliding collar, good ventilation of the container is ensured in a simple manner.

Due to the configuration of the holding
The soft,
The arrangements according to these two partial figures each allow a double connection between the suction lance and the container, namely simultaneously via the connecting body 5 (not shown for the sake of clarity) and the
The

At the

Partial figure 3b shows a perspective sectional view of a second embodiment in which in particular a connecting
With great advantage, the invention of a guide body made of elastomeric material such as silicone, EPDM, TPE, TPU, FKM, NBR, rubber, natural rubber, which have a Shore A hardness between 40 and 60 in a conical shape with a smooth outer contour, or Outer surface providing a versatile holding area for different connecting bodies a suction lance which is suitable to be used with a wide variety of containers with different sized and shaped discharge openings. A complex adjustment of the insertion depth of the suction lance, for example by means of clamping rings and nuts, can advantageously be omitted, since the connecting body described can be moved axially in a simple but durable manner and also assumes a sealing and holding function for the suction lance.
It can be seen in partial figure b that a
