Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-function correction device for a watch part allowing, for example, the selection and/or modification of information displayed on a dial by means of a single control element.
- the invention also relates to a timepiece comprising such a multi-function correction device allowing, for example, the selection and/or modification of information displayed on a dial, for example, to correct, engage, or reset several functions derived from the current time.
- a timepiece particularly a wristwatch, allows the user to know the current time. This current time can be corrected by applying an action (for example, pulling) to the winding stem until a specific position is reached for this correction action.
- an action for example, pulling
- the wristwatch can also display, correct, activate, and reset functions derived from the current time, generally called complications, such as a date, a time zone, etc., as disclosed in the patent. US8371745B2 or the request EP2469358A2 .
- These corrective devices can be of the type: push buttons or correctors.
- Pushbuttons generally include a push-type control element positioned outside the watch case and easily accessible by the user, the pushbuttons allowing the user to control and/or correct auxiliary functions without the use of a tool.
- Corrector buttons are typically miniature push-buttons recessed into the case of the wristwatch and operated by a small, usually pointed tool, instead of a protruding pusher easily accessible and manipulated by the user. These corrective buttons are generally used for quick function adjustments.
- the multiplication of correction devices at the case level also creates sealing problems due to the multiplication of openings in the watch case that need to be made for the integration and assembly of the different means of correction.
- the invention aims to provide a solution to the disadvantages of the prior art specified above, by proposing a multifunctional correction device allowing the selection, activation and/or modification of at least two different functions, with the same correction device requiring only a single opening in the watch case for its mounting.
- the invention relates to a multifunctional correction device for the case of a watch part as defined by the attached claim 1.
- the user can easily select at least one function corrector of said watch movement that he wishes to activate, and operate it when pressure is exerted on the pusher.
- the multifunctional correction device minimizes the number of openings required in the watch case. Consequently, issues of water resistance, placement, and aesthetics are eliminated by reducing the number of correction devices to be installed in the case.
- the multi-function correcting device according to the invention is a different type of correcting device from a setting crown linked to the winding stem, which allows for time setting and, optionally, winding the mainspring barrel.
- the multi-function correcting device according to the invention is not connected to a winding stem for winding a mainspring barrel and does not allow for setting the current time of the movement.
- a correction device is understood to be either a push button that typically has a protruding push-button control element located outside the case of the timepiece, or a corrector button that typically has a control element corrector integrated into the thickness of the case and accessible by the user from outside the box, for example via a tool.
- the invention also relates to a timepiece comprising a multifunctional correction device according to the invention.
- the timepiece comprises a case containing a timepiece movement having at least a first function corrector and a second function corrector, each function corrector allowing in particular to display, correct, select, engage, or reset a function derived from the current time; said case having a case body having a housing in which is mounted a multifunction correction device according to the invention, the multifunction correction device having a plurality of angular positions to interact with the first function corrector and/or the second function corrector of the timepiece movement.
- the watch movement includes a first function corrector and a second function corrector.
- the first function corrector and the second function corrector are formed by superimposed pivoting flip-flops.
- the timepiece is a wristwatch.
- the movement of the timepiece is a mechanical movement.
- the multi-function correction device allows selection and/or activation of at least one function corrector included in a watch movement to perform directly or indirectly different activation, selection, resetting and/or correction functions of information derived from the current time, by means of a single control element accessible by the user from outside the case.
- the control unit thus forms a user interface for controlling various functions associated with information derived from the current time displayed by a clock movement housed in a case.
- FIG 1 This illustrates, in a top view, a first example of the realization of a multifunctional correction device 100 according to the invention, mounted in a case 20 of a watch case 2.
- the 20 frame is shown in transparency so that the 100 multi-function correction device can be viewed as a whole.
- Case 2 of a watch part is a wristwatch case.
- the case 2 has a case 20 having an outer face 24 and an inner face 23.
- the inner face 23 of the case 20 delimits an internal space intended to receive a clock movement 1 (not shown in its entirety).
- the clock movement 1 carries and drives means for displaying the current time and includes, in particular, at least one complication for displaying at least one piece of information derived from the current time.
- the clock movement 1 includes a plurality of function correctors 10, 12, enabling the direct or indirect performance of various functions for activating, selecting, resetting, and/or correcting information derived from the current time.
- the clockwork mechanism 1 includes a first function corrector 10 and a second function corrector 12, enabling the display, correction, selection, activation, or reset of at least one function derived from the current time.
- this representation is not exhaustive.

- the indexing member 150 also allows several stable indexing positions to be defined for the control member 130.
- the indexing member 150 is formed by an indexer comprising an indexing ball 151 and a spring housed in an indexing cage 152 carried by the control member 130, for example provided in a peripheral portion 132 of the control member 130.
- the ball indexer is configured to mark several stable indexing positions of the control member 130 which is mobile and rotates around the axis of revolution X-X.
- the ball indexer cooperates with a plurality of housings 155 provided at the radially external surface of the cylindrical body 110, more particularly at the head 112 of the body 110.
- the cylindrical body 110 has as many housings 155 as there are desired indexing positions.
- indexing positions and the number of indexing positions are given as examples. Other variations are also considered. For example, a simpler implementation involves indexing only the first and second positions to activate either the first or second function corrector.
- control element 130 When the control element 130 is in position, the user actuates the control element 130 by applying pressure in the direction indicated by the arrow referenced F1 on the figure 1 , in a manner parallel to the XX axis.
- the applied pressure acts against the return element 140, moving the control member 130 and the control rod 120 inwards towards the inside of the housing 2 until the tenon 123 makes contact with the selected function corrector(s) 10, 12. Further pressure on the control member 130 allows the function corrector(s) 10, 12 to be operated in order to activate, select, or reset them. to zero or a correction of information derived from the associated current time.
