Especially, they reduce sedimentation of the detergent particles and also aggregation of the particles. A floating up of a larger portion of the particles contained in the liquid phase to the upper surface of the liquid phase is reduced or even inhibited.

These include, for example, citric acid, adipic acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid, saccharic acids, aminocarboxylic acids, nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA), provided that the use of NTA is not objectionable for ecological reasons, and mixtures thereof.

Due to their superior solubility, the short-chain polyacrylates which have a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 10,000 g/mol, and particularly preferably 3,000 to 5,000 g/mol, can be preferred from this group.
