Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates more particularly to household vacuum cleaners of the broom type making it possible to vacuum up dust and waste present on a surface to be cleaned, which may for example be tiles, parquet, laminate, carpet or a rug.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

  • a main body configured to rest and roll on a floor to be cleaned, the main body comprising a vacuum cleaner housing and first and second main wheels mounted to rotate relative to the vacuum cleaner housing,
  • a suction head through which outside air can be sucked in by the vacuum cleaner,
  • at least one exhaust port through which air cleaned by the vacuum cleaner can exit the vacuum cleaner,
  • an aeraulic circuit extending between the suction head and the at least one exhaust orifice,
  • a suction motor housed in the vacuum cleaner housing and arranged on the aeraulic circuit, the suction motor being configured to generate an air flow in the aeraulic circuit, and
  • a gripping handle mechanically connected to the vacuum cleaner housing.
An example of such a vacuum cleaner is disclosed in the document WO 2009/030886 A1 .

Such a configuration of the aforementioned vacuum cleaner gives it great maneuverability, which facilitates its use by a user.

However, access to certain areas to be cleaned may prove complex, or even impossible, with the stick vacuum cleaner of the aforementioned type, due to the fact that the height of the main body of such a vacuum cleaner is relatively large (particularly in due to the integration of the suction motor into the vacuum cleaner housing).

Résumé de l'inventionSummary of the invention

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.

The technical problem underlying the invention consists in particular of providing a vacuum cleaner which is simple in structure, economical and reliable, while having high cleaning performance.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner comprising:
  • a main body configured to rest and roll on a floor to be cleaned, the main body comprising a vacuum cleaner housing and first and second main wheels mounted to rotate relative to the vacuum cleaner housing,
  • a suction head mechanically connected to the vacuum cleaner housing and through which outside air can be sucked in by the vacuum cleaner,
  • at least one exhaust port through which air cleaned by the vacuum cleaner can exit the vacuum cleaner,
  • an aeraulic circuit extending between the suction head and the at least one exhaust orifice,
  • a suction motor housed in the vacuum cleaner housing and arranged on the aeraulic circuit, the suction motor being configured to generate an air flow in the aeraulic circuit,
  • a waste separation and collection device which is arranged on the aeraulic circuit upstream of the suction motor and which is configured to be crossed by the air flow generated by the suction motor, and
  • a gripping handle mechanically connected to the vacuum cleaner housing.

The suction head is mounted movable relative to the vacuum cleaner housing between a retracted position in which the suction head is brought closer to a front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing, and an deployed position in which the suction head is spaced away from the front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing, the vacuum cleaner being configured such that a rearward tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing, from a predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner and around of the axes of rotation of the first and second main wheels, causes a movement of the suction head towards the deployed position and such that a forward tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing, in the direction of the predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner and around the axes of rotation of the first and second main wheels, causes the suction head to move towards the retracted position.

Such a configuration of the vacuum cleaner according to the present invention allows the latter, by tilting the gripping handle backwards and therefore moving the suction head into the deployed position, to reach areas inaccessible to the main body. (which has a height greater than that of the suction head since the main body is notably equipped with the suction motor), such as for example an area located under a piece of furniture.

Thus, the vacuum cleaner according to the present invention has high cleaning performance, while being simple in structure, economical and reliable.

The vacuum cleaner may also have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the first and second main wheels are arranged on either side of the vacuum cleaner housing. More precisely, the first and second main wheels are side wheels of the vacuum cleaner.

According to one embodiment of the invention, when the suction head occupies the retracted position, the suction head extends beyond the front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing by a first deployment distance, and when the suction head occupies the deployed position, the suction head extends beyond the front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing by a second deployment distance which is greater than the first deployment distance.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the predetermined operating position corresponds to a storage position of the vacuum cleaner, also called parking position, in which the first and second main wheels rest on a floor to be cleaned and the gripping handle extends substantially vertically.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction head is configured to be in contact with the surface to be cleaned when the suction head occupies the deployed position and the first and second main wheels of the vacuum cleaner rest on a horizontal surface. Such a configuration of the suction head gives improved suction efficiency to the vacuum cleaner according to the present invention.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction head is mounted articulated on the vacuum cleaner housing around a transverse hinge axis.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse articulation axis extends transversely, and advantageously substantially perpendicularly, to a direction of movement of the main body.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner is configured such that a rearward tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing, from the predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner, results in a forward movement, and for example following a trajectory substantially in an arc of a circle, of the transverse articulation axis, and such that a forward tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing, in the direction of the predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner, causes a movement backwards, and for example following a path substantially in an arc of a circle, of the transverse articulation axis.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse articulation axis is substantially horizontal when the first and second main wheels of the vacuum cleaner rest on a horizontal surface.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction head comprises a sole provided with a lower face and a suction cavity opening onto the lower face.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction head comprises a fork mounted articulated on the sole via a front pivot connection defining a front pivot axis, the fork being mounted articulated on the housing. vacuum cleaner via a rear pivot connection defining the transverse hinge axis.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse articulation axis is located in a lower part of the vacuum cleaner housing, and for example in a lower rear part of the vacuum cleaner housing.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the transverse articulation axis is located at the rear of the axes of rotation of the first and second main wheels when the vacuum cleaner occupies the predetermined operating position. These arrangements give a significant deployment stroke to the suction head when the latter is moved from the retracted position to the deployed position, and therefore make it possible to thoroughly clean areas that are difficult to access.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner includes a locking device configured to occupy a locking configuration in which the locking device locks the vacuum head in the retracted position and prevents pivoting of the head suction head around the transverse hinge axis, and a release configuration in which the locking device releases the suction head and allows pivoting of the suction head around the transverse hinge axis. These provisions make it possible in particular to avoid a downward pivoting of the suction head when transporting the vacuum cleaner by a user, and therefore to avoid any damage to the suction head due to an impact of this last for example against the floor or a piece of furniture.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the locking device comprises a first locking element provided on the vacuum cleaner housing, and a second locking element provided on the suction head and configured to cooperate, for example by magnetization or snap-fit, with the first locking member when the suction head occupies the retracted position, so as to lock the suction head in the retracted position.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner comprises an actuating member configured to move the locking device into the release configuration when the vacuum cleaner housing and the gripping handle are tilted rearwardly from the predetermined operating position. These provisions ensure automatic movement of the locking device in the release configuration (that is to say without specific manipulation, by the user, of the locking device) during tilting towards the rear of the housing. vacuum cleaner.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the second locking element is located in front of the transverse hinge pin, and the actuating member comprises at least one support part, such as a support shoe, provided on the suction head and located at the rear of the transverse articulation axis, the at least one support part being configured to rest on the ground when the vacuum cleaner housing and the gripping handle are tilted rearwardly, from the predetermined operating position, and to exert on the second locking element a releasing force such as the resultant of the forces exerted on the second locking element is greater and opposite to the locking force exerted by the first locking element on the second locking element.

In other words, when the vacuum cleaner housing and the gripping handle are tilted backwards from the predetermined operating position, the at least one support part is configured to pivot the suction head, around the transverse hinge axis and at a distance from the vacuum cleaner housing, against the force exerted by the first locking element on the second locking element.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the second locking element is provided on an upper part of the suction head.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the at least one support part is provided on the fork.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the actuating member comprises two supporting parts which are arranged on either side of the locking device. These arrangements make it possible to better distribute the release force applied to the second locking element, and therefore to reduce, for the user, the effort to be applied on the gripping handle to involve the movement of the locking device of the configuration of lock to release configuration.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the fork comprises two fork arms mounted articulated on the vacuum cleaner housing via the rear pivot connection. Advantageously, each of the fork arms is provided with a respective support part.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner is configured such that a backward tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing, from the predetermined operating position, causes a movement of the head suction from the retracted position to the deployed position according to a travel path comprising:
  • a first stroke portion during which the suction head is locked by the locking device in the retracted position and is moved by the vacuum cleaner housing according to a movement movement which includes at least one vertical component so as to drive a lifting of the suction head,
  • a second stroke portion during which the actuating member moves the locking device into the release configuration so as to release the suction head and allow movement by gravity of the suction head, and by example a pivoting of the suction head downwards and relative to the vacuum cleaner housing, until the suction head is in contact with the surface to be cleaned, and
  • a third stroke portion during which the suction head is moved in translation relative to the vacuum cleaner housing and away from the vacuum cleaner housing in a direction of translation which is substantially horizontal.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the direction of translation is substantially perpendicular to the transverse articulation axis.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner is configured such that, during the first portion of stroke, the entire suction head is raised relative to the surface to be cleaned.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner comprises a rechargeable battery configured to electrically power the suction motor, the rechargeable battery being arranged in a battery housing which is delimited at least in part by the vacuum cleaner housing .

According to one embodiment of the invention, the gripping handle partially delimits the aeraulic circuit.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the gripping handle comprises a distal end portion equipped with a suction tip which is removably fixed to the vacuum cleaner housing and which is fluidly connected to the suction motor when the suction tip is attached to the vacuum cleaner housing and when the suction tip is separated from the vacuum cleaner housing, the suction tip being configured to be fluidly connected to the head suction, for example in a sealed manner, when the suction nozzle is fixed to the vacuum cleaner housing and being configured to clean surfaces when the suction nozzle is separated from the vacuum cleaner housing. Such a configuration of the suction tip allows a user to vacuum areas to be cleaned that are inaccessible by the suction head (for example a ceiling or a low piece of furniture) when the suction tip is separated from the housing. 'vacuum cleaner.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction tip is configured to be immobile relative to the vacuum cleaner housing when the suction tip is fixed to the vacuum cleaner housing.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the suction tip comprises a fixing part which is fixed to the gripping handle, and a cleaning part which is mechanically connected to the fixing part.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the gripping handle comprises a handle part which is elongated and which has a central longitudinal axis, the fixing part being fixed to the handle part, and the cleaning part being pivotally mounted relative to the fixing part, and therefore relative to the handle part, around a pivot axis which extends transversely to the central longitudinal axis of the handle part. Advantageously, the pivot axis extends substantially parallel to the transverse articulation axis when the suction tip is fixed to the vacuum cleaner housing. Such a configuration of the suction tip makes it possible to facilitate cleaning operations carried out with the suction tip.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the vacuum cleaner comprises a blocking device configured to prevent pivoting of the cleaning part around the pivot axis when the suction tip is fixed to the vacuum cleaner housing. The presence of such a blocking device ensures simultaneous tilting of the gripping handle and the vacuum cleaner housing when the gripping handle is tilted backwards or forwards, and therefore optimal movement of the suction head between the retracted position and the deployed position.

To make the drawings easier to read, the same elements carry the same references from one figure to another.

Note that in this document, the terms "horizontal", "vertical", "lower", "upper", "front", and "rear" used to describe the vacuum cleaner or the main body refer to the vacuum cleaner in usage situation when it rests on its wheels on a floor to be cleaned which is flat and horizontal. In this document, the terms "tilting forward" mean tilting towards the suction head and therefore away from a user normally handling the vacuum cleaner in front of him, and the terms "tilting backwards" mean a tilting away from the suction head and therefore towards a user normally handling the vacuum cleaner in front of him.

The main body 2 comprises in particular a vacuum cleaner housing 3, provided with an outer surface of the housing 4, for example of partially spherical shape, and first and second main wheels 5, 6 mounted movable in rotation relative to the vacuum cleaner housing. 3.

The rechargeable battery 25 is arranged in a battery housing which is delimited at least in part by the vacuum cleaner housing 3. So advantageously, the rechargeable battery 25 is removable and is configured to be removed from the battery housing and to be introduced into the battery housing via an access opening 26 which is provided on the vacuum cleaner housing 3 and which opens into the battery compartment.

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the vacuum cleaner 1 comprises an access hatch 27 pivotally mounted relative to the vacuum cleaner housing 3 around a hatch pivot axis and enters a closed position in which the hatch access opening 27 at least partially closes the access opening 26 and prevents removal of the rechargeable battery 25 from the battery housing, and an opening position in which the access hatch 27 releases the opening of access 26 and allows removal of the rechargeable battery 25 from the battery housing. As shown on the figures 4 And 8 , the exhaust ports 11 are provided on the access hatch 27.

As shown more particularly on the figures 8 to 11 , the suction head 9 is mounted articulated on the vacuum cleaner housing 3 around a transverse hinge axis A and between a retracted position (see the Figure 9 ) in which the suction head 9 is brought closer to a front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing 3, and an deployed position (see the Figure 11 ) in which the suction head 9 is distant from the front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing 3. More particularly, when the suction head 9 occupies the retracted position, the suction head 9 extends beyond the edge front of the vacuum cleaner housing 3 of a first deployment distance, and when the suction head 9 occupies the deployed position, the suction head 9 extends beyond the front edge of the vacuum cleaner housing 3 by a second deployment distance which is greater than the first deployment distance.

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the transverse articulation axis A is substantially horizontal when the first and second main wheels 5, 6 of the vacuum cleaner 1 rest on a horizontal surface, and extends perpendicular to a direction movement D of the main body 2. Advantageously, the transverse articulation axis A is located in a lower rear part of the vacuum cleaner housing 3. As shown more particularly on the Figure 9 , the transverse articulation axis A is located at the rear of the axes of rotation of the first and second main wheels 5, 6 when the vacuum cleaner occupies the predetermined operating position.

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the suction head 9 comprises:
  • a sole 28 provided with a lower face 29 and a suction cavity 31 opening onto the lower face 29, and
  • a fork 32 mounted articulated on the sole 28 via a front pivot connection defining a front pivot axis, the fork 32 comprising two fork arms 33 mounted articulated on the vacuum cleaner housing 3 via a rear pivot connection defining the transverse articulation axis A.

De façon avantageuse, la cavité d'aspiration 31 est allongée et s'étend selon une direction d'extension qui est transversale à la direction de déplacement du corps principal 2.Advantageously, the suction cavity 31 is elongated and extends in a direction of extension which is transverse to the direction of movement of the main body 2.

As shown more particularly on the figures 8 to 11 , vacuum cleaner 1 is configured:
  • such that a backward tilting of the gripping handle 15 and of the vacuum cleaner housing 3, from a predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner 1 (advantageously corresponding to a storage position of the vacuum cleaner 1, also called parking position), causes a forward movement, and for example following a trajectory substantially in an arc of a circle, of the transverse articulation axis A, and therefore a movement of the suction head 9 towards the deployed position, and
  • such that a forward tilt of the gripping handle 15 and the vacuum cleaner housing 3, towards the predetermined operating position of the vacuum cleaner 1, results in a backward movement, and for example following a trajectory substantially in an arc of a circle, of the transverse articulation axis A, and therefore a movement of the suction head 9 towards the retracted position.

Advantageously, the vacuum cleaner 1 includes a locking device 34 configured to occupy:
  • a locking configuration in which the locking device 34 locks the suction head 9 in the retracted position and prevents pivoting of the suction head 9 around the transverse hinge axis A, and therefore movement of the suction head 9 towards the deployed position, and
  • a release configuration in which the locking device 34 releases the suction head 9 and allows pivoting of the suction head 9 around the transverse articulation axis A, and therefore movement of the suction head 9 towards the deployed position.

Le dispositif de verrouillage 34 permet notamment de pouvoir transporter l'aspirateur 1, lorsqu'il occupe la position de rangement, sans risquer un basculement vers le bas de la tête d'aspiration 9.The locking device 34 makes it possible in particular to be able to transport the vacuum cleaner 1, when it is in the storage position, without risking the suction head 9 tipping downwards.

According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the locking device 34 comprises a first locking element 35 which is provided on the vacuum cleaner housing 3, and a second locking element 36 which is provided on an upper part of the suction head 9 and which is therefore located at the front of the transverse articulation axis A. The second locking element 36 is configured to cooperate, for example by magnetization or snap-fastening, with the first locking element 35 when the suction head 9 occupies the retracted position, so as to lock the suction head 9 in the retracted position.

In order to be able to unlock the suction head 9 and therefore allow movement of the latter towards the deployed position, the vacuum cleaner 1 advantageously comprises an actuating member configured to automatically move the locking device 34 into the release configuration when the vacuum cleaner housing 3 and the gripping handle 15 are tilted backwards from the predetermined operating position.

A.According to one embodiment of the invention, the actuating member comprises two support parts 38, such as support shoes, provided respectively on the fork arms 33 and located at the rear of the axle transverse joint A.

The support parts 38 are more particularly configured to rest on the ground when the vacuum cleaner housing 3 and the gripping handle 15 are tilted backwards, from the predetermined operating position, and to exert on the second element locking element 36 a releasing force such that the resultant of the forces exerted on the second locking element 36 is greater and opposite to the locking force exerted by the first locking element 35 on the second locking element 36. In others terms, when the vacuum cleaner housing 3 and the gripping handle 15 are tilted backwards from the predetermined operating position, the support parts 38 are configured to pivot the suction head 9, around the transverse articulation axis A and at a distance from the vacuum cleaner housing 3, against the force exerted by the first locking element 35 on the second locking element 36. Such a configuration of the vacuum cleaner 1 ensures movement automatic device locking 34 in the release configuration during a rearward tilting of the gripping handle 15, and therefore allows movement of the suction head 9 between the retracted position and the deployed position.

The vacuum cleaner 1 is more particularly configured such that a backward tilting of the gripping handle 15 and the vacuum cleaner housing 3, from the predetermined operating position, causes a movement of the suction head 9 of the retracted position to the deployed position according to a travel path comprising:
  • a first stroke portion during which the suction head 9 is locked by the locking device 34 in the retracted position and is moved by the vacuum cleaner housing 3 according to a movement movement which comprises at least one vertical component of so as to cause a lifting of the suction head 9,
  • a second stroke portion during which the actuator moves the locking device 34 into the release configuration so as to release the suction head 9 and to allow movement by gravity of the suction head 9 until the suction head 9 is in contact with the surface to be cleaned, and
  • a third stroke portion during which the suction head 9 is moved in translation relative to the vacuum cleaner housing 3 and at a distance from the vacuum cleaner housing 3 in a direction of translation which is substantially horizontal and perpendicular to the transverse hinge pin A.

Advantageously, the vacuum cleaner 1 is configured such that, during the first portion of stroke, the entire suction head 9 is raised relative to the surface to be cleaned.

According to an embodiment of the invention not shown in the figures, the waste separation and collection device 14 could be mounted, for example in a removable manner, on the vacuum cleaner housing 3, and be located in particular at the front of the gripping handle 15. According to such an embodiment of the invention, the gripping handle 15 would comprise:
  • a first handle part which is elongated and which is configured to be mechanically connected to the vacuum cleaner housing 3, and
  • a second handle part including a main part which is elongated and a gripping handle which is configured to be grasped by a user, the main part being hingedly mounted on the first handle part between a first handle configuration in which the main part extends substantially parallel to the first handle portion and a second handle configuration in which the main portion is inclined relative to the first handle portion.
