Description

The invention relates to a golf glove.

In golf it is important to grip the club correctly.

With a so-called "neutral" grip, one of the main sources of error is eliminated and the probability that the ball will fly to the desired target is increased. With a "weak" grip, the ball tends to fly to the right. With a "strong" grip, the ball tends to fly to the left. "Strong" and "weak" here indicate how the hands are positioned on the racket. The position of the Hands on the club influence the position of the club head at the moment of impact with the ball.

With a neutral grip, the club head is aligned at the moment of impact so that the club head's long axis is perpendicular to the desired flight direction of the golf ball. The long axis and the desired flight direction form an angle of 90°.

With a "strong" or "weak" grip, the long axis of the club head is not at a 90° angle to the desired flight direction, but the angle is larger or smaller. In this case, the club head is "more open" or "more closed".

For this reason, it is important for the golfer to realize a so-called neutral grip, i.e. a swing-neutral grip on the club handle.

It is difficult even for experienced golfers, but especially for beginners, to position the hands and fingers on the club handle in such a way that a neutral grip is achieved.

State of the art ( DE 298 14 149 U1 ) includes a golf glove that has markings on various positions on the glove that indicate a correct club grip position. The marking is on the palm of the hand. The marking is formed by a positioning area that extends on both sides of the transition between the palm and the base of the fingers, is at least in a different color to the glove material and widens from the index finger to the little finger. The marking is also formed by a control area on the back of the hand, which extends from the connection area between thumb and index finger in the form of a Y-figure to the index finger and thumb.

This state-of-the-art control surface allows the golfer to position the fingers correctly when the triangle is closed. The marking shows the golfer where the club should be in the hand. The markings therefore indicate how the fingers should be correctly positioned around and on the golf club. This state-of-the-art golf glove does not provide any assistance with clubhead alignment.

Furthermore, the state of the art ( EN 20 2010 005 340 U1 ) an exercise and training tool for physical education. According to this prior art, a golf glove is disclosed which has an optical indicator which follows the movement of the body part with a boundary marking of a movement that is fixed to the body part. With this prior art golf glove, it is possible to better control the movement of the body part or the posture of the body part. With the glove, it is possible, for example, for the athlete to use the glove to see whether the club is hitting the ball in the desired orientation or what changes the orientation of the club head will have compared to the previous shot. According to this prior art, however, the athlete is not given any assistance for a correct grip.

State-of-the-art golf gloves do not allow control of a so-called neutral grip.

State of the art ( GB 2 366 990 A1 ) includes a golf glove that is used to assist a golfer in adopting a suitable grip of a golf club. For this purpose, the golf glove has a plurality of holes that together define an alignment line for the grip on a golf club. Elements for detachable attachment to the handle of the club are provided on the handle of the golf club. These elements create a selectively detachable bond between the glove and the handle. This prior art golf glove with an element that can be attached to the handle is very complex. In addition, the alignment line achieved by the holes is not sufficient for an optimal grip.

Furthermore, the state of the art ( KR 2002 0065443 A ) a golf glove that has stretch folds in the area of the finger joints and a direction indicator point on the back of the hand to achieve a good swing position. Beginners in particular have problems gripping the golf club correctly. A straight line marking is provided in the area of the back of the hand for this purpose. There is another marking on the palm of the glove, which is located in the area of the metacarpophalangeal joints. This state-of-the-art golf glove can be further improved with regard to an optimized grip position.

The technical problem underlying the invention is to provide a golf glove which has marking areas with which it can be visually checked whether a so-called neutral grip is present.

This technical problem is solved by a golf glove having the features according to claim 1.

• dass an der Handinnenfläche eine dritte Markierung vorgesehen ist für den Zeigefinger, den Mittelfinger und den Ringfinger mit jeweils einer Markierungsfläche, die eine Fingerkuppe abdeckend und sich zumindest bis zum Fingerendgelenk erstreckend ausgebildet ist, und dass eine Markierungsfläche für den kleinen Finger zwischen dem Fingerendgelenk und dem Fingermittelgelenk vorgesehen ist.

This special combination of marking areas on the golf glove allows a golfer to visually check whether he has a so-called neutral grip, i.e. a swing-neutral grip.

The various marking areas on the glove are designed in such a way that when the neutral grip is present, only the basic color of the glove is visible. The color-contrasting marking areas are not visible to the golfer when a neutral grip is present.

For example, if the base color of the glove is white and the marking areas are black, the golfer will only see white areas of the glove when he has assumed the correct grip position for the neutral grip.

The first marking is located in the area of the metacarpal joints. With a neutral grip, the player must not be able to see the metacarpal joints of the index finger and middle finger, so the marking area in this area is designed to at least partially cover the metacarpal joints. This means that the marking area in this area at least partially covers the metacarpal joints. It is advantageous if the marking area completely covers the metacarpal joints of the index finger and middle finger.

For the ring finger and little finger, the metacarpophalangeal joints may be visible in a neutral grip. For this reason, the marking area in the area of the ring finger and little finger is designed to leave the metacarpal joints free. The marking area runs towards the back of the hand, offset from the metacarpal joints of the ring finger and little finger. This marking area is located on the back of the hand.

The second marking is also located on the outside of the hand. This marking is in the area of the fingers. A marking area is provided for each finger, which is either located between the distal and proximal joints of the fingers and/or which covers one distal joint of the fingers. With a neutral grip, these marking areas are also not visible.

The third marking is on the palm of the hand. There is a marking area for each of the index finger, ring finger and middle finger, which covers one fingertip and extends at least to the distal joint of the finger. This means that the fingertips have marking areas. There is a marking area for the little finger, which is located between the distal joint of the finger and the proximal joint of the finger. If the fingers are placed correctly around the racket handle and the fingers are closed sufficiently, the player will not see the marking areas of the third marking.

The golf glove according to the invention can be used advantageously in training. Beginners in particular often do not know how to position their hands and fingers on the handle of the golf club in order to obtain a neutral grip. However, an incorrect grip results in that the golfer does not hit the ball correctly. With a neutral grip, one of the main sources of error is eliminated and the probability of hitting the target is increased. A grip that is too weak can provoke a right turn. A grip that is too strong can provoke a left turn. For this reason, it is particularly important for beginners but also for long-time golfers to practice a neutral grip.

For advanced golfers, it is also helpful to check the neutral grip at least from time to time.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking surface of the third marking for the index finger or the middle finger or the ring finger is designed to cover the fingertip and extend over the distal interphalangeal joint.

Not all of the marking areas of the third mark have to cover the end joints of the fingers. It is important that the fingertips of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger have a marking, as these fingers should enclose the handle of the racket and not remain open.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking surfaces are designed as continuous marking surfaces or as interrupted marking surfaces.

It is generally possible to create the marking areas from a continuous surface. The marking areas are coloured in a different way from the base colour of the golf glove. The marking surfaces of the first marking and the second marking can be stripes or bars, for example. The stripes or bars are advantageously wide enough to cover the metacarpophalangeal joints, for example.

The fingertips, which are provided for the index finger, middle finger and ring finger according to the third marking, are advantageously designed to be flat. The marking surface of the third marking for the little finger is advantageously designed as a bar or stripe.

These bars, stripes or areas can also be formed by interrupted markings. For example, dotted markings, hatched markings or the like can be provided.

To give the golf glove an aesthetically pleasing appearance, these markings can also have other patterns, such as triangles, flowers or the like.

If the marking areas are designed as stripes or bars, they can also be interrupted, for example as a dash-dotted stripe or bar.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first and/or the second marking has linear marking surfaces.

In order to achieve a neutral grip or to deviate from the neutral grip, only nuances in the hand and finger position are sometimes decisive. For this reason These markings are advantageously designed in strip and bar shapes.

The same applies to the third marking in relation to the little finger, which also advantageously has a strip-shaped or bar-shaped marking area.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking surfaces of the third marking of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger are designed as flat marking surfaces.

The tips of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger are completely covered with the marking areas on the palm of the hand. The marking areas extend from the fingertips at least to the distal interphalangeal joint.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the marking areas are colored differently from the golf glove.

The golf glove advantageously has one or more basic colors.

The marking areas are preferably designed in a different color to the basic color of the glove. This means that the marking areas are visually separated from the basic color of the golf glove.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the marking areas are designed as colored areas.

As already mentioned, the marking areas are advantageously a different color than the base color of the golf glove.

During production, it is particularly easy to colour the marking areas and thus make them stand out visually.

In principle, it is also possible to create the marking areas from, for example, sewn or glued material.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the golf glove consists of plastic and/or leather and/or a mesh material.

Especially for the summer, a mesh material is often used, especially on the outer surface of the glove, so that UV light can partially pass through the mesh material.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the marking surfaces are designed as test surfaces for the optical control of a correct hand position on a racket handle for a neutral grip.

When the hand with the glove is correctly positioned on the club handle, the marking areas are not visible; only the basic color of the golf glove is visible.

This allows a golfer to check for himself that he has a so-called neutral grip.

For a right-handed player, the left hand first grasps the racket. When grasping, the two large balls of the hands rest on the handle. Since the player should not be able to see the metacarpophalangeal joints of the index and middle fingers in this position, this is achieved in the simplest way possible using the marking surfaces of the glove according to the invention. The marking surfaces in the area of the fingers can also be used to check the correct position of the hand and fingers on the racket handle.

The golf glove according to the invention can be designed for right-handed or left-handed people, i.e. for the left hand or the right hand.

In the present application, a distinction is made between the metacarpophalangeal joint, the middle finger joint and the distal finger joint. The distal finger joint is located on the part of the hand furthest from the body. The metacarpophalangeal joint is located is located on the part of the hand closest to the body and the middle finger joint is located between the metacarpophalangeal joint and the distal finger joint.

The thumb does not fall under the term "finger".

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a fastener can be arranged on the glove. The fastener consists, for example, of a Velcro and loop tape. Claims (10)

1. Golf glove having marking surfaces which are provided on a back of the hand and on a palm of the hand, wherein the golf glove has three markings, wherein a first marking is provided on the back of the hand (2) in the region (3) of the metacarpus, wherein the at least one marking surface (8) of the first marking is configured to cover, or to at least partially cover, metacarpophalangeal joints (9, 10, 11, 12) of an index finger (7) and middle finger (6),
   characterized

   - in that the marking surface (8) in the region (3) of the metacarpophalangeal joints (11, 12) of a ring finger (5) and little finger (4) is configured to leave the metacarpophalangeal joints (11, 12) free and is arranged to extend on the metacarpus, and

   - in that a second marking is provided on the back of the hand (2) with in each case at least one marking surface (13, 14, 15, 16) on the index finger (7), on the middle finger (6), on the ring finger (5) and on the little finger (4) which is arranged between a distal interphalangeal joint (17, 18, 19, 20) and a proximal interphalangeal joint (21, 22, 23, 24) or which is configured to at least partially cover a distal interphalangeal joint (21, 22, 23, 24), and

   - in that a third marking is provided on the palm of the hand (25) for the index finger (7), the middle finger (6) and the ring finger (5) with in each case a marking surface (29, 28, 27) which is configured to cover a fingertip (31) and to extend at least as far as the distal interphalangeal joint (17, 18, 19), and in that a marking surface (30) for the little finger (4) is provided between the distal interphalangeal joint (17) and the proximal interphalangeal joint (21).
2. Golf glove according to Claim 1, characterized in that the marking surface (29, 28, 27) of the third marking for the index finger (7) or the middle finger (6) or the ring finger (5) is configured to cover the fingertip (31) and to extend over the distal interphalangeal joint (17, 18, 19).
3. Golf glove according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the marking surfaces (8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29, 30) are configured as continuous marking surfaces (8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29, 30) or as interrupted marking surfaces (8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 27, 28, 29, 30).
