Abstract

The invention relates to a golf glove with marking areas provided on the outer surface of the hand and on the inner surface of the hand, the golf glove having three markings,- a first marking being provided on the outer surface of the hand in the area of the metacarpus,- a second marking being provided on the outer surface of the hand- wherein a third marking is provided on the palm of the hand.

Description

The invention relates to a golf glove.

In golf it is important to grip the club correctly.

With a so-called "neutral" grip, one of the main sources of error is eliminated and the probability of the ball flying to the desired target is increased. With a "weak" grip, the ball tends to fly to the right. With a "strong" grip, the ball tends to fly to the left. "Strong" and "weak" tell you how the hands are positioned on the racket. The position of Hands on the racquet affect the position of the racquet head at the moment of impact with the ball.

With a neutral grip, the club head has an orientation at the moment of impact in which a longitudinal axis of the club head is arranged perpendicularly to the desired flight direction of the golf ball. The longitudinal axis and the desired direction of flight enclose an angle of 90°.

With a "strong" or "weak" grip, the longitudinal axis of the racket head is not arranged at a 90° angle to the desired direction of flight, but the angle is larger or smaller. In this case, the club head is "more open" or "closer".

For this reason, it is important for the golfer to have a so-called neutral grip, ie a swing-neutral grip on the club grip.

It is difficult even for experienced golfers, but especially for beginners, to position the hands and fingers on the club grip so that a neutral grip is present.

On the state of the art ( DE 298 14 149 U1 ) includes a golf glove that has markings at various locations on the glove that indicate correct club grip position. The marking is on the one hand on the palm of the hand. The marking is formed from a positioning surface that extends on both sides of the transition between the palm of the hand and the roots of the fingers, is at least different in color from the glove material and widens from the index finger to the little finger. On the other hand, the marking consists of a control surface on the back of the hand, extending from the connecting area between the thumb and forefinger in the form of a Y-shape to the forefinger and the thumb.

This prior art control surface allows the golfer to correctly position the fingers when the triangle is closed. The marking shows the golfer where to place the club in the hand. The markings thus indicate how the fingers should be positioned correctly around and on the golf club. This prior art golf glove does not provide any guidance regarding club head alignment.

Furthermore belongs to the state of the art ( DE 20 2010 005 340 U1 ) an exercise and training aid for physical education. According to this prior art, a golf glove is disclosed which has an optical indicator which follows the movement of the body part with a boundary marking of a movement which is stationary with respect to the body part. With this prior art golf glove it is possible to better control the movement of the body part or the posture of the body part. With the glove, for example, it is possible for the athlete to see from the glove whether the racquet hits the ball in the desired orientation or what changes the orientation of the racquet head will have compared to the previous shot. According to this state of the art, however, the athlete is not given any assistance for a correct grip.

The golf gloves of the prior art do not allow control of a so-called neutral grip.

The technical problem on which the invention is based consists in specifying a golf glove which has marking areas with which it is possible to visually check whether a so-called neutral grip is present.

This technical problem is solved by a golf glove having the features according to claim 1.

This special combination of marking surfaces on the golf glove enables a golfer to visually check whether he has a so-called neutral grip, ie a swing-neutral grip.

The various marking areas on the glove are designed in such a way that when the neutral grip is present, only the basic color of the glove can be seen. If a neutral grip is present, the color-contrasting marking areas cannot be seen by the golfer.

For example, if the base color of the glove is white and the marking areas are black, the golfer will only see white areas of the glove when he has assumed the correct grip position for the neutral grip.

The first marking is located in the area of the base of the fingers. With a neutral grip, the player must not see the metatarsophalangeal joints of the index finger and the middle finger, so that the marking surface is designed to at least partially cover the metatarsophalangeal joints in this area. This means that the marking area at least partially covers the finger base joints in this area. Advantageously, the marking area completely covers the base joints of the index finger and the middle finger.

For the ring finger and the little finger, the base joints of the fingers may be visible with a neutral grip. For this reason, the marking surface in the area of the ring finger and the little finger is designed so that the base joints of the fingers are free. The marking area runs in the direction of the back of the hand, offset from the base joints of the ring finger and the little finger. This marking area is located on the back of the hand.

The second marking is also located on the palm of the hand. This mark is located in the area of the fingers. A marking area is provided for each finger, which is either arranged between the end joint of the finger and the middle joint of the finger and/or which is designed to cover a end joint of the finger. With a neutral grip, these marking areas are also not visible.

The third mark is on the palm of the hand. A marking area is provided for the index finger, the ring finger and the middle finger, which covers a fingertip and is designed to extend at least as far as the finger end joint. This means that the fingertips have marking areas. A marking area is provided for the little finger, which is arranged between the finger end joint and the finger middle joint. If the fingers are correctly wrapped around the racquet handle and the fingers are sufficiently closed, the player will not see the marking areas of the third mark.

The golf glove according to the invention can be used advantageously in the training area. Golf beginners in particular often do not know how to position their hands and fingers on the grip of the golf club in order to obtain a neutral grip. However, one wrong grip results in that the golfer does not hit the ball correctly. The neutral grip eliminates one of the main sources of error and increases the probability of a hit hitting the target. A too weak grip can provoke a right turn. too strong a grip can provoke a left turn. For this reason, it is particularly important for golf beginners, but also for long-time golfers, to train a neutral grip.

It is also helpful for advanced golfers to control the neutral grip at least from time to time.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking surface of the third marking for the index finger or the middle finger or the ring finger is designed to cover the fingertip and extend over the finger end joint.

Not all marking areas of the third marking have to cover the finger end joints. It is important that the fingertips of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger have a mark, as these fingers should enclose the handle of the racket and should not remain open.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking areas are designed as continuous marking areas or as interrupted marking areas.

In principle, there is the possibility of forming the marking areas from an uninterrupted area. The marking areas are colored differently from the basic color of the golf glove. Strips or bars, for example, can be provided as marking areas for the first marking and the second marking. The strips or bars are advantageously so wide that they are designed to cover, for example, the metatarsophalangeal joints.

The fingertips, which are provided according to the third marking for the index finger, middle finger and ring finger, are advantageously of flat design. The marking area of the third marking for the little finger is advantageously designed as a bar or strip.

These bars, stripes or areas can also be formed by broken markings. For example, dotted markings, hatched markings or the like can be provided.

In order to give the golf glove an aesthetically pleasing image, these markings can also have other patterns, for example triangles, flowers or the like.

If the marking areas are designed as stripes or bars, they can also be designed as interrupted, for example as dash-dotted stripes or bars.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first and/or the second marking has linear marking areas.

In order to achieve a neutral grip or to deviate from the neutral grip, sometimes only nuances in the hand and finger position are decisive. For this reason these markings are advantageously strip-shaped and bar-shaped.

The same applies to the third marking in relation to the little finger, which also advantageously has a strip-shaped or bar-shaped marking surface.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the marking areas of the third marking of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger are designed as flat marking areas.

The tips of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger are completely covered with the marking areas on the palm of the hand. The marking areas extend from the fingertips at least to the finger end joint.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the marking areas are of a different color than the golf glove.

The golf glove advantageously has one or more primary colors.

The marking areas are advantageously designed in a color that differs from the basic color of the glove. As a result, the marking areas are optically separated from the basic color of the golf glove.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the marking areas are designed as test areas for visual checking of a correct hand position on a racket handle for a neutral grip.

When the hand with the glove is correctly positioned on the club grip, the marking areas are not visible, but only the basic color of the golf glove is recognizable.

As a result, a golfer can check for himself that he has a so-called neutral grip.

The golf glove according to the invention can be designed for right-handers or left-handers, ie for the left hand or the right hand.

In the present application, a distinction is made between the base of the fingers, the middle of the fingers and the end of the fingers. The finger end joint is located on the part of the hand that is distant from the body. The metatarsophalangeal joint is located located on the part of the hand closest to the body and the middle finger joint is located between the base of the fingers and the end of the fingers.

The thumb does not fall under the term "finger".

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a closure can be arranged on the glove. The closure consists, for example, of a hook and loop fastener.
