Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The invention relates to a watch case comprising two parts assembled with a bayonet connection.

Arrière-plan de l'inventionBackground of the invention

The watch case includes a back and a middle which can be assembled by screwing. It may be required that the back be oriented in a given angular position relative to the middle. This is typically the case when the background is provided with a logo, or more generally with an inscription, which must always be positioned at a precise location in relation to the middle. In this regard, the assembly with a screw thread offers insufficient precision. Likewise, the reproducibility from one assembly to another is not satisfactory.

Other assemblies via lugs cooperating with elastic tabs defining a groove have been proposed to replace the screw thread. The document EP 2 874 022 describes such an assembly. These assemblies, however, have the disadvantage of being less robust over time during successive assembly and disassembly with the risk of breakage of the elastically deformable zone.

The document JP S56 92880 U shows all the features of the preamble of appended claim 1.

Résumé de l'inventionSummary of the invention

The object of the invention is to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages by proposing a robust, precise and reproducible assembly.

To this end, the invention relates to a watch case comprising two parts assembled with a bayonet type connection.

More precisely, the present invention relates to a watch case whose orientation is defined relative to a central axis A perpendicular to the plane of the watch case, said watch case comprising a first part and a second part capable of adopting the 'one relative to the other a so-called locking position, a so-called assembly position and a so-called disassembly position, the first part comprising a plurality of edges distributed around its outer periphery and projecting in a direction opposite to the axis central A, at least one of the edges comprising a lug extending in a direction parallel to said central axis A, the second part comprising on its interior periphery a plurality of clearances allowing the passage of said edges in the assembly and disassembly positions, said clearances opening onto a groove formed especially around the perimeter of an interior wall of the second part, said groove accommodating the edges in each of the positions and opening in turn onto a groove formed around a portion of the perimeter of the interior wall of the second part, said groove being delimited at its ends by respectively a first stop and a second stop, said groove accommodating the lug with the first stop limiting the movement of the lug in the disassembly and assembly positions and with the second stop limiting the movement of the lug in the locking position, said watch case also comprising a first compression joint applying a clamping force on the first part in a direction perpendicular to the central axis A in the locking position, said first compression joint being housed in the bottom of the groove of the second piece.

The watch case is thus provided with means of assembly between the two parts without an elastically deformable zone. In other words, the lug as well as the groove accommodating the lug are rigid.

The cooperation between the lug and the groove provided with stops thus allows precise relative positioning between the two parts.

Additionally, the radial compression joint prevents accidental movement between the two parts when assembled. According to the invention, only a radial compression seal is required to ensure radial tightening.

Ainsi, l'assemblage ne requiert pas de bague entre les première et seconde piècesThe invention also makes it possible to achieve a sealed and secure assembly of the two parts while minimizing the number of components required to ensure this assembly and this with moderate manufacturing costs. Thus, the assembly does not require a ring between the first and second parts

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the detailed description below.

Description détailléedetailed description

The invention relates to a watch box 1 visible at the figure 1 comprising two parts 2.3 assembled by a bayonet connection. In the example illustrated, one part 2, called the first part, is a back and the other part 3, called the second part, is a middle part. The assembly principle with a bayonet connection as described below could be used for other parts of a watch case such as a bezel intended to be assembled to a caseband.

The bayonet connection is formed by a groove delimited by stops with the groove formed in one part and by a lug positioned on the other part intended to cooperate with said groove as described below. The positioning of the lug against one of the stops defines a given relative position between the two parts with alignment of the marks 15 in the example of the figure 1 . It will be noted that the bayonet connection could include several lugs cooperating with several grooves.

Préférentiellement, cet ergot 5 se positionne au milieu de l'arc de cercle défini par le rebord 4.As shown in figures 4 , 5 And 7 , the first part 2 comprises an annular base 2a with at the outer periphery of the base 2a a support surface 2b for the second part 3. The annular base 2a is surmounted by a wall 2c positioned set back from the support surface 2b. The wall 2c is delimited at its upper end, i.e. its end opposite the annular base 2a, by a plurality of flanges 4, also called ears, projecting radially in a direction opposite the center of the first part 2. Preferably, these flanges 4 are arranged at regular intervals on the outer periphery of the wall 2c. According to the invention, at least one of the edges 4 is provided with a lug 5 rising in a direction parallel to the central axis A of the watch case. Preferably, this lug 5 is positioned in the middle of the arc of a circle defined by the rim 4.

As shown in figures 3 , 6 And 7 , the second part 3 also comprises an annular base 3a partly forming a support surface intended to be in contact with the support surface 2b of the first part 2. The annular base 3a has on its inner edge a series of clearances 9 of complementary shape or of dimensions greater than the edges 4 of the first part 2 so as to allow their engagement during assembly. The inner edge of the annular base 3a is thus formed of a plurality of recesses 9 each framed by a bearing 10. These clearances 9 communicate with an annular groove 7 formed in the interior wall 3b of the second part 3 over its entire circumference. This groove 7 in turn opens onto a groove 6 occupying an annular portion of the interior wall 3b. This groove 6 is delimited by two stops 6a, 6b intended to cooperate with the lug 5 whose movement during assembly is thus limited by the stops. A first stop 6a is positioned opposite a clearance 9 to allow the assembly and disassembly of the two parts. More precisely, the first stop 6a is arranged at a minimum distance from one end of the clearance 9 ( fig.3a ) equal to half of the arc of a circle defined by the flange to allow insertion of the flange into the clearance. The second stop 6b is positioned under a span 10 framing the clearance 9 ( fig.6 ). This second stop corresponds to the desired alignment position between the two parts as shown schematically by mark 15 on the Figure 6 . It will be specified that to facilitate the machining of the second stop a notch 16 can be made on the annular base 3a opposite the second stop to be machined to access the latter.

According to the invention, the watch case 1 comprises a radial compression joint 14 intended to apply a clamping force on the first part and thereby prevent accidental movement of the first part relative to the second part. Preferably, this radial compression seal 14 is positioned in the bottom of the annular groove 7 between the latter and the first part 2.

The watch case 1 further conventionally comprises several seals 12,13 which ensure sealing between the crystals and respectively the back and the middle and between the back and the middle for the example illustrated. The ice seals 12 are positioned in grooves 17 formed respectively in the first part 2 and the second part 3 ( fig.7 ). The axial compression joint 13 between the first part 2 and the second part 3 is positioned in a groove 18 formed in the annular base 3a of the second part 3 ( fig.3a And fig.7 ).

The assembly process takes place as follows. The first part can occupy, relative to the second part, a so-called assembly position, a so-called locking position and a so-called disassembly position. In the mounting position ( fig.8b and fig.8d ), the rim 4 provided with the lug 5 of the first part 2 is positioned opposite the clearance 9 of the second part 3 communicating with the groove 6 provided with the stops 6a, 6b. The lug 5 is positioned near the first stop 6a and slides into the groove 6. Advantageously, the lug is positioned a few angular degrees from the first stop during assembly in order to facilitate the latter. The relative angular displacement of an angle α between the first part and the second part is carried out using a special tool such as a wrench to overcome the friction force exerted by the radial compression joint. This movement positions the lug 5 against the second stop 6b ( fig.8a and fig.8c ) and thus align the first part relative to the second part in the desired position indicated by marks 15 at the figure 1 . The first part thus occupies the so-called locking position in relation to the second part. The two parts are immobilized in this angular locking position thanks to the action of the radial compression joint. Likewise, the axial movement along axis A of the first part relative to the second part is prevented by the edge of the first part being housed in the groove under the bearing of the second part.

For dismantling also carried out using a key, the lug 5 is positioned against the first stop 6a of the first part during a relative rotation between the two parts. Thus, the first part can be separated from the second part.
