Le premier composant A comprend entre 30 % en poids et 99 % en poids, sur la base du composant A, d'un mélange de polyols P, contenant 100 % en poids d'au moins un polyol hydrophobe P1, de 10 à 75 % en poids d'au moins un polyol hydrophile P2, de 0 à 25 % en poids d'au moins un diol P3 avec deux groupes hydroxyle qui sont reliés par l'intermédiaire d'une chaîne carbonée en C2 à C9 ; et au moins un composé T qui a au moins un groupe thiol ; et le second composant B comprend au moins un polyisocyanate I ; au moins un catalyseur métallique K étant en outre contenu dans l'un des deux composants pour faire réagir des groupes hydroxyle et des groupes isocyanate, ledit catalyseur métallique étant apte à former des complexes thio, et le rapport molaire de tous les groupes thiol de l'au moins un composé T à tous les atomes de métal de l'au moins un catalyseur métallique K est compris entre 1/1 et 250/1. Une telle composition permet un réglage quelconque du temps de durcissement de la composition de polyuréthane hydrophobe dans des limites spécifiques et permet d'obtenir des temps de durcissement longs avec un durcissement ultérieur très rapide de la composition. La composition selon l'invention est particulièrement appropriée en tant qu'adhésif structural hydrophobe pour faire adhérer deux composants ou en tant que matrice dans des matériaux composites.
