Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective helmet with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Protective helmets particularly for use by police or other emergency services, primarily serve to protect the wearer from the risk of mechanical injury.
- One difficulty is that such a circumferential fit regularly requires the adjustment of an interior of the protective helmet, which is naturally arranged under the fixed outer shell of the protective helmet. The outer shell makes access to the interior interior difficult or impossible.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a protective helmet which, on the one hand, can be adapted to different head circumferences of the wearer while the protective helmet is being worn and, on the other hand, also reliably allows this adjustment to be released quickly by the wearer in order to remove the protective helmet .
- Essential to the invention is the knowledge that by providing a spring device in the protective helmet, which spring device is tensioned by the adjustment of the head circumference of the protective helmet for the respective wearer in such a way that it acts on a return to the basic setting, a rapid removal of the protective helmet is made possible by the wearer alone.
- a trigger mechanism can then be provided, by means of which and the tension of the spring device the protective helmet can be quickly transferred to this basic setting and the protective helmet can thus be removed easily.
- the basic setting is the setting for the maximum head circumference, so that in this basic setting the protective helmet usually only sits loosely on the wearer's head.
- the proposed protective helmet has an outer shell for distributing impact forces, a head support ring for placing on a head of a wearer of the protective helmet and an adjusting device for adjusting a circumference of the head support ring to adapt to the wearer's head, the adjusting device being accessible through at least one opening in the outer shell Operation is carried out from outside the outer shell. To guide the adjusting device through the at least one opening in the outer shell, it is sufficient that only part of the adjusting device is guided through the at least one opening. Outside the outer shell here means the side of the outer shell that faces away from the head of the wearer of the protective helmet.
- the head support ring is essentially any arrangement through which the protective helmet is at least partially supported on the wearer's head and which rests on a circumference of the wearer's head.
- the proposed protective helmet can be a protective helmet for emergency services.
- emergency services can be security forces such as the police or military as well as fire services.
- the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device is set up to tension a spring device of the protective helmet when adjusting the circumference in such a way that the tension of the spring device acts to transfer the circumference of the head support ring to a basic circumference.
- the spring device can be tensioned by actuating the adjusting device - that is, by adjusting the circumference of the head support ring - in such a way that this tension forces the head support ring into a state in which the circumference of the head support ring assumes the basic circumference.
- This basic circumference of the head support ring preferably corresponds to a maximum circumference of the head support ring.
- the adjusting device is set up to reduce the circumference of the head support ring starting from the basic circumference.
- the spring device has no preload if the circumference of the head support ring is equal to the basic circumference, with the basic circumference corresponding in particular to the maximum circumference. Then only the setting of a circumference that deviates from the basic circumference by the adjusting device creates a preload of the spring device. However, it is preferred that the spring device has a preload when the circumference of the head support ring is equal to the base circumference. In other words, there is already a preload in the basic state of the head support ring. In this way it is ensured that the spring device already has a certain preload even in the maximum setting, so that the maximum circumference - regardless of friction losses - is actually reached safely. A reduction in the head circumference does not create a pre-tension in the first place, but rather increases the existing pre-tension.
- the at least one opening in the outer shell has a plurality of openings in the outer shell. It can also be the case that the at least one opening in the outer shell is exactly one opening in the outer shell.
- the above adjustment device can be implemented in any way.
- a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device has a button for adjusting the circumference by a rotary actuation, which button can be rotated from outside the outer shell. This means that the rotary operation for adjusting the circumference can be carried out from outside the outer shell.
- the ability to rotate from outside the outer shell can be achieved in different ways.
- the at least one opening can be at least one opening of any type.
- a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the at least one opening has a bore completely surrounded by the outer shell.
- the at least one opening consists of at least one hole completely surrounded by the outer shell.
- a hole is understood to be an opening with a closed edge.
- a hole is not a notch-like incision.
- the at least one opening can be arranged at any position on the outer shell. However, it is preferred that the at least one opening is arranged on a rear side of the outer shell.
- the adjusting device has a cable arrangement, the cable arrangement being set up to exert a pulling actuation on the head support ring to adjust the circumference.
- the cable arrangement is set up to exert a pulling actuation on the head support ring in order to reduce the circumference.
- the rope arrangement is coupled with the button.
- the cable arrangement can react to any type of button operation. It is particularly preferred that the cable arrangement is set up to exert the pulling actuation on the head support ring for adjusting the circumference by turning the button.
- the adjusting device is set up to reduce a cable length of the cable arrangement by winding the cable arrangement in order to adjust the circumference of the head support ring.
- the rope length of the rope arrangement reduced in this way is not the total length of the rope arrangement as a whole, since this fundamentally cannot be changed without separating part of the rope arrangement. Rather, the rope length to be reduced means the extended rope length.
- the stretched length of rope is therefore the part of the rope arrangement that is not wound up.
- a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the rope arrangement is guided through the at least one opening. Since the cable arrangement regularly has a smaller diameter than the button, the at least one opening can be made very small in this way, which in turn impairs the integrity of the outer shell as little as possible.
- the button is arranged outside the outer shell.
- the head support ring can be designed in any way.
- a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the head support ring has two guide parts which are designed to be moved towards one another in order to adjust the circumference of the head support ring.
- the guide parts at least partially form the circumference of the head support ring. Through such a displacement relative to one another, the part of the circumference formed by the two guide parts can be adjusted, since overlapping areas of the guide parts only simply contribute to the circumference.
- the guide parts are flexible. Flexible guide members are easier to overlap to form a perimeter than rigid guide members.
- the head support ring has a holding arrangement for guiding the heads past one another Has guide parts.
- at least one guide part has the holding arrangement and that the holding arrangement is set up for mutual engagement of the guide parts. In this way it can be ensured that the guide parts remain overlapping.
- the adjusting device and in particular the cable arrangement is set up to move the guide parts together to adjust the circumference.
- Such shifting against one another is comparatively easy to accomplish by exerting a tensile force on the guide parts.
- the guide parts have a respective guide opening, the guide openings being at least partially aligned with one another and thereby forming an overall opening.
- the overall opening is therefore the opening which corresponds to the overlapping area of both guide openings.
- the area of the overall opening is then preferably adjusted by adjusting the circumference of the head support ring. It is obvious that the overall opening regularly has a larger area, the higher the degree of overlap between the guide parts and the guide openings.
- the spring device can be placed anywhere and coupled with the other components of the protective helmet.
- the spring device is connected to the guide parts and is designed to exert tension of the spring device as a spring force on the guide parts.
- the spring device through its connection to the guide parts, exerts a stronger spring force on the guide parts, the more tightly the spring device is tensioned.
- the spring device is connected to the guide parts in the area of the respective guide opening.
- the spring device can also have a compression spring.
- the spring device has a tension spring for exerting the spring force on the guide parts.
- the term tensile load spring is understood to mean any device and any component that is designed to exert a tensile force in response to an expansion.
- the tension spring can be a helical tension spring or a rubber band.
- the spring device can be arranged anywhere on the protective helmet. It is preferred that the spring device is arranged essentially at the overall opening. This means that the spring device can be positioned in a particularly space-saving manner.
- a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device is set up to exert a substantially opposite pulling force on the guide parts for adjusting the circumference of the head support ring.
- the tensile force which is exerted by the adjusting device on one of the two guide parts is essentially directed in the opposite direction to the tensile force which is exerted by the adjusting device on the other of the two guide parts. The tensile force is then exerted on both guide parts.
- the cable arrangement is specifically designed to exert the essentially opposite pulling force on the guide parts. It is also preferred that the spring device is arranged between attachment points of the cable arrangement with the respective guide part.
- a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the protective helmet has a neck protection for substantially completely covering a neck of the wearer, which neck protection is arranged on a lower edge of the outer shell.
- the lower edge of the outer shell means that edge which is in the lower direction from the perspective of a wearer of the protective helmet.
- the guide parts are offset in the vertical direction from the outer shell and arranged such that the guide parts are covered by the neck protection.
- the guide parts are not arranged at the same vertical height as the outer shell.
- the vertical direction is again defined in relation to a wearer of the protective helmet.
- the guide parts would be positioned in such a way that they would not be covered by the outer shell. This arrangement of the guide parts allows to attack as low as possible on the head of the wearer of the protective helmet and thus ensure a more secure hold of the protective helmet.
- the adjusting device is set up to be released by a release actuation, so that the spring device transfers the head support ring into the base circumference through its pretension. It is then a so-called quick release mechanism.
- the release actuation can be any type of actuation. It is preferred that the release operation consists of a pressure operation.
- the protective helmet has at least one inner layer part received by the outer shell for damping impact forces and that the head support ring has a main section for fastening the head support ring to the at least one inner layer part. It can also be provided that the head support ring is also attached directly to the outer shell.
- the at least one inner layer part can also be arranged in an adjustable manner relative to the outer shell. However, it is preferred that the at least one inner layer part is arranged in a stationary manner relative to the outer shell. This ensures that the protective helmet fits securely.
- the at least one inner layer part is preferably firmly connected to the outer shell.
- a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the main section is connected to the at least one inner layer part in such a way that when the circumference of the head support ring is adjusted, the at least one inner layer part maintains its position relative to the outer shell. Preferably, in particular, when the guide parts are displaced, the at least one inner layer part maintains its position relative to the outer shell. This means that the adjustment of the scope can be achieved essentially without adjusting the main section.
- the main section above can have any design.
- a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the main section is essentially T-shaped with two elongated and oppositely extending arms for attachment to a respective guide part and with an elongated middle part for attachment in a central region of the outer shell.
- the arms are used for attachment to the guide parts and the middle part is for attachment, preferably to another structure, such as an inner layer part.
- the arms form part of the circumference of the head support ring.
- the arms and the middle section can run anywhere on the protective helmet. It is preferred that the arms run essentially along a side edge of the outer shell.
- side edge means a side of the outer shell in the transverse direction relative to a viewing direction of a wearer of the protective helmet. It is also preferred that the middle part runs essentially along an apex line of the outer shell.
- apex line also refers to a wearer of the protective helmet. It is a section running centrally on the surface of the outer shell in the transverse direction - again transverse to the direction in which the wearer is visible.
- the Fig. 1 shows a detail of the in the Fig. 2 and 3 safety helmet shown.
- This is a protective helmet for police forces.
- the safety helmet has one in the Fig. 2 clearly recognizable outer shell 1 and a head support ring 2 arranged within the outer shell 1.
- the head support ring 2 represents that part of the protective helmet which essentially serves to ensure that the protective helmet fits as precisely as possible on the head of its wearer.
- the Fig. 6 shows the head support ring 2 in the state arranged within the outer shell 1.
- the protective helmet also has an adjusting device 3, with which the circumference of the head support ring 2 can be adjusted to the corresponding head circumference of the wearer of the protective helmet.
- This adjustment device 3 consists here of a rotatable button 4, which - as in the Fig. 2 shown - is arranged outside the outer shell 1 and consists of a rope arrangement 5.
- the rope arrangement 5 is a total of two individual ropes 6a, b, which are attached to the button 4 in such a way that they can be attached to the button 4 by turning the button 4 can be wound up.
- the individual ropes 6a, b are guided from the button 4 through an opening in the outer shell 1, which opening is arranged essentially below the button 4, into the inside of the outer shell 1.
- the individual ropes 6a, b are as in the Fig. 1 can be seen, each connected to a flexible guide part 7a, b of the head support ring 2.
- the opening is covered here by cushion covers 17, which are arranged on an inside of the outer shell 1 and is therefore not shown as such.
- the rotation of the button 4 causes the guide parts 7a, b to be moved towards one another by the tensile force exerted by the rope arrangement 5 consisting of the individual ropes 6a, b.
- This maximum scope of the Head support rings form a basic scope here.
- a spring device 8 consisting of a tension spring 9 can be seen attached to the guide parts 7a, b.
- the spring device 8 already has a preload in this state with the maximum circumference of the head support ring 2. This bias acts to convert the circumference of the head support ring 2 into the basic circumference or to leave the circumference of the head support ring 2 in the basic circumference.
- the guide parts 7a, b have a respective guide opening 11a, b, which are aligned with one another and form an overall opening 12.
- the size of the overall opening 12 clearly depends on how far the guide parts 7a, b are moved towards one another. From the Fig. 4 and 5 It can be seen that in the state with the reduced circumference of the head support ring 2, the area of the overall opening 12 is larger than in the basic state because of the higher degree of overlap of the guide parts 7a, b.
- the spring device 8 consisting of the tension spring 9 is connected to the guide parts 7a, b at fastening points 13a, b of the cable arrangement 5 with the guide parts 7a, b and thus in the area of the respective guide opening 11a, b.
- the spring device 8 is thus arranged essentially within the overall opening 12.
- the protective helmet also has a neck protection 14 arranged in the vertical direction below the outer shell 1, the inside of which is also in the Fig. 3 can be recognized.
- the guide parts 7a, b can be seen vertically offset from the outer shell 1 and thus in the area of the neck protection 14.
- the protective helmet also has an inner layer part 16, which is in the Fig. 6 is shown.
- the cushion covers 17 are partially removed, which normally and as in the Fig. 3 shown cover both the inner layer part 16 and essential parts of the guide parts 7a, b.
- the head support ring 2 consists of a main section 18, the middle part 19 of which is firmly connected to the inner layer part 16 and the arms 20a, b of which are connected to the guide parts 7a, b.
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schutzhelm mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs von Anspruch 1.The invention relates to a protective helmet with the features of the preamble of
Protective helmets, particularly for use by police or other emergency services, primarily serve to protect the wearer from the risk of mechanical injury. As with other types of helmets, there is also a need for protective helmets to allow the helmet to be worn safely by wearers with different head circumferences, at least within a certain range of circumferences. One difficulty is that such a circumferential fit regularly requires the adjustment of an interior of the protective helmet, which is naturally arranged under the fixed outer shell of the protective helmet. The outer shell makes access to the interior interior difficult or impossible.
The disadvantage of this prior art is that taking off the sports helmet is laborious and time-consuming for the wearer. This is particularly true if the wearer is supposed to accomplish this alone. As already stated, it makes sense to adapt the interior to the wearer's head circumference after putting on the helmet. In return, when taking off the helmet, it is expedient to increase the extent of the interior equipment before taking it off and to detach the interior equipment from the wearer's head. However, this is difficult to do with this sports helmet, as the wearer must first remove the cover plate attached to the back of the head of the outer shell. Reliably rapid weaning is now almost complete.
Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is therefore to provide a protective helmet which, on the one hand, can be adapted to different head circumferences of the wearer while the protective helmet is being worn and, on the other hand, also reliably allows this adjustment to be released quickly by the wearer in order to remove the protective helmet .
This task is solved for a protective helmet with the features of the preamble of
Essential to the invention is the knowledge that by providing a spring device in the protective helmet, which spring device is tensioned by the adjustment of the head circumference of the protective helmet for the respective wearer in such a way that it acts on a return to the basic setting, a rapid removal of the protective helmet is made possible by the wearer alone. A trigger mechanism can then be provided, by means of which and the tension of the spring device the protective helmet can be quickly transferred to this basic setting and the protective helmet can thus be removed easily. As a rule, the basic setting is the setting for the maximum head circumference, so that in this basic setting the protective helmet usually only sits loosely on the wearer's head.
The proposed protective helmet has an outer shell for distributing impact forces, a head support ring for placing on a head of a wearer of the protective helmet and an adjusting device for adjusting a circumference of the head support ring to adapt to the wearer's head, the adjusting device being accessible through at least one opening in the outer shell Operation is carried out from outside the outer shell. To guide the adjusting device through the at least one opening in the outer shell, it is sufficient that only part of the adjusting device is guided through the at least one opening. Outside the outer shell here means the side of the outer shell that faces away from the head of the wearer of the protective helmet. The head support ring is essentially any arrangement through which the protective helmet is at least partially supported on the wearer's head and which rests on a circumference of the wearer's head.
In particular, the proposed protective helmet can be a protective helmet for emergency services. These emergency services can be security forces such as the police or military as well as fire services.
The proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device is set up to tension a spring device of the protective helmet when adjusting the circumference in such a way that the tension of the spring device acts to transfer the circumference of the head support ring to a basic circumference. In other words, the spring device can be tensioned by actuating the adjusting device - that is, by adjusting the circumference of the head support ring - in such a way that this tension forces the head support ring into a state in which the circumference of the head support ring assumes the basic circumference. This basic circumference of the head support ring preferably corresponds to a maximum circumference of the head support ring. Then a reduction in the circumference of the head support ring starting from the maximum circumference generates a tension in the spring device, which tension acts in the direction of a return to the maximum circumference. Accordingly, it is preferred that the adjusting device is set up to reduce the circumference of the head support ring starting from the basic circumference.
In principle, it may be the case that the spring device has no preload if the circumference of the head support ring is equal to the basic circumference, with the basic circumference corresponding in particular to the maximum circumference.
It may be that the at least one opening in the outer shell has a plurality of openings in the outer shell. It can also be the case that the at least one opening in the outer shell is exactly one opening in the outer shell.
In principle, the above adjustment device can be implemented in any way. A preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device has a button for adjusting the circumference by a rotary actuation, which button can be rotated from outside the outer shell. This means that the rotary operation for adjusting the circumference can be carried out from outside the outer shell.
The ability to rotate from outside the outer shell can be achieved in different ways. In particular, it may be that the button is guided through the at least one opening. Another option is explained below.
In principle, the at least one opening can be at least one opening of any type. A further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the at least one opening has a bore completely surrounded by the outer shell. In particular, it may be that the at least one opening consists of at least one hole completely surrounded by the outer shell. A hole is understood to be an opening with a closed edge. In particular, a hole is not a notch-like incision. In principle, the at least one opening can be arranged at any position on the outer shell. However, it is preferred that the at least one opening is arranged on a rear side of the outer shell.
According to a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet, it is provided that the adjusting device has a cable arrangement, the cable arrangement being set up to exert a pulling actuation on the head support ring to adjust the circumference. In particular, it may be that the cable arrangement is set up to exert a pulling actuation on the head support ring in order to reduce the circumference. Preferably, the rope arrangement is coupled with the button. In principle, the cable arrangement can react to any type of button operation. It is particularly preferred that the cable arrangement is set up to exert the pulling actuation on the head support ring for adjusting the circumference by turning the button.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet, it is provided that the adjusting device is set up to reduce a cable length of the cable arrangement by winding the cable arrangement in order to adjust the circumference of the head support ring. The rope length of the rope arrangement reduced in this way is not the total length of the rope arrangement as a whole, since this fundamentally cannot be changed without separating part of the rope arrangement. Rather, the rope length to be reduced means the extended rope length. The stretched length of rope is therefore the part of the rope arrangement that is not wound up.
A preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the rope arrangement is guided through the at least one opening. Since the cable arrangement regularly has a smaller diameter than the button, the at least one opening can be made very small in this way, which in turn impairs the integrity of the outer shell as little as possible. Here it is further preferred that the button is arranged outside the outer shell.
In principle, the head support ring can be designed in any way. A further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the head support ring has two guide parts which are designed to be moved towards one another in order to adjust the circumference of the head support ring. In particular, it may be that the guide parts at least partially form the circumference of the head support ring. Through such a displacement relative to one another, the part of the circumference formed by the two guide parts can be adjusted, since overlapping areas of the guide parts only simply contribute to the circumference. It is further preferred that the guide parts are flexible. Flexible guide members are easier to overlap to form a perimeter than rigid guide members. It is also preferred that the head support ring has a holding arrangement for guiding the heads past one another Has guide parts. Here it can also be the case that at least one guide part has the holding arrangement and that the holding arrangement is set up for mutual engagement of the guide parts. In this way it can be ensured that the guide parts remain overlapping.
According to a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet, it is provided that the adjusting device and in particular the cable arrangement is set up to move the guide parts together to adjust the circumference. Such shifting against one another is comparatively easy to accomplish by exerting a tensile force on the guide parts. It is also preferred that the guide parts have a respective guide opening, the guide openings being at least partially aligned with one another and thereby forming an overall opening. The overall opening is therefore the opening which corresponds to the overlapping area of both guide openings. The area of the overall opening is then preferably adjusted by adjusting the circumference of the head support ring. It is obvious that the overall opening regularly has a larger area, the higher the degree of overlap between the guide parts and the guide openings.
In principle, the spring device can be placed anywhere and coupled with the other components of the protective helmet. According to a further preferred embodiment of the protective helmet, it is provided that the spring device is connected to the guide parts and is designed to exert tension of the spring device as a spring force on the guide parts. In other words, the spring device, through its connection to the guide parts, exerts a stronger spring force on the guide parts, the more tightly the spring device is tensioned. In particular, it may be the case that the spring device is connected to the guide parts in the area of the respective guide opening.
In principle, the spring device can also have a compression spring. However, it is preferred that the spring device has a tension spring for exerting the spring force on the guide parts. Here and below, the term tensile load spring is understood to mean any device and any component that is designed to exert a tensile force in response to an expansion. In particular, the tension spring can be a helical tension spring or a rubber band. In principle, the spring device can be arranged anywhere on the protective helmet. It is preferred that the spring device is arranged essentially at the overall opening. This means that the spring device can be positioned in a particularly space-saving manner.
In principle, it is possible for the adjusting device to only act on one of the guide parts. However, a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the adjusting device is set up to exert a substantially opposite pulling force on the guide parts for adjusting the circumference of the head support ring. In other words, the tensile force which is exerted by the adjusting device on one of the two guide parts is essentially directed in the opposite direction to the tensile force which is exerted by the adjusting device on the other of the two guide parts. The tensile force is then exerted on both guide parts.
In particular, it may be that the cable arrangement is specifically designed to exert the essentially opposite pulling force on the guide parts. It is also preferred that the spring device is arranged between attachment points of the cable arrangement with the respective guide part.
A further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the protective helmet has a neck protection for substantially completely covering a neck of the wearer, which neck protection is arranged on a lower edge of the outer shell. The lower edge of the outer shell means that edge which is in the lower direction from the perspective of a wearer of the protective helmet. It is further preferred that the guide parts are offset in the vertical direction from the outer shell and arranged such that the guide parts are covered by the neck protection. In other words, the guide parts are not arranged at the same vertical height as the outer shell. The vertical direction is again defined in relation to a wearer of the protective helmet. In other words, without neck protection, the guide parts would be positioned in such a way that they would not be covered by the outer shell. This arrangement of the guide parts allows to attack as low as possible on the head of the wearer of the protective helmet and thus ensure a more secure hold of the protective helmet.
According to a preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet, it is provided that the adjusting device is set up to be released by a release actuation, so that the spring device transfers the head support ring into the base circumference through its pretension. It is then a so-called quick release mechanism. In principle, the release actuation can be any type of actuation. It is preferred that the release operation consists of a pressure operation.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet, it is provided that the protective helmet has at least one inner layer part received by the outer shell for damping impact forces and that the head support ring has a main section for fastening the head support ring to the at least one inner layer part. It can also be provided that the head support ring is also attached directly to the outer shell. In principle, the at least one inner layer part can also be arranged in an adjustable manner relative to the outer shell. However, it is preferred that the at least one inner layer part is arranged in a stationary manner relative to the outer shell. This ensures that the protective helmet fits securely. In particular, it may be that the at least one inner layer part is preferably firmly connected to the outer shell.
A preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the main section is connected to the at least one inner layer part in such a way that when the circumference of the head support ring is adjusted, the at least one inner layer part maintains its position relative to the outer shell. Preferably, in particular, when the guide parts are displaced, the at least one inner layer part maintains its position relative to the outer shell. This means that the adjustment of the scope can be achieved essentially without adjusting the main section.
In principle, the main section above can have any design. However, a further preferred embodiment of the proposed protective helmet is characterized in that the main section is essentially T-shaped with two elongated and oppositely extending arms for attachment to a respective guide part and with an elongated middle part for attachment in a central region of the outer shell. In other words, the arms are used for attachment to the guide parts and the middle part is for attachment, preferably to another structure, such as an inner layer part. It is further preferred that the arms form part of the circumference of the head support ring. In principle, the arms and the middle section can run anywhere on the protective helmet. It is preferred that the arms run essentially along a side edge of the outer shell. The term side edge means a side of the outer shell in the transverse direction relative to a viewing direction of a wearer of the protective helmet. It is also preferred that the middle part runs essentially along an apex line of the outer shell. The term apex line also refers to a wearer of the protective helmet. It is a section running centrally on the surface of the outer shell in the transverse direction - again transverse to the direction in which the wearer is visible.
