Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cyhnder lock.
  • a standard cylinder lock consists of inter alia a lock housing with lock cylinder and a carrier. By turning the lock cylinder with the associated key, the carrier turns along with it. Due to the carrier being for instance connected with the dead bolt, the cyhnder lock is thereby locked, or unlocked.
  • a widely used method of intrusion is the so-called lock snapping. With special tools the lock housing is pulled out of the cylinder lock. The burglar then has free access to the carrier and can simply, without key, make it turn and thereby open the cylinder lock. To prevent this so-called lock snapping, protected cylinder locks are known.
  • EP 2 730 727 A2 shows a cylinder lock according to the pre-characterizing portion of claim 1.
  • EP’727 shows a cylinder lock (Schliefizylinder 1) comprising a lock housing ( Gehauseteil 2b), rotatable blocking disk ( Kernverlang réelle 11), and a blocking element ( Verriegelungsbolzen 20) which is held back by a retaining element
  • Comparable cylinder locks are described in GB 2 515 054, EP 3 517 713 A1 and GB 2545389 A.
  • the invention provides a cylinder lock according to claim 1. More particularly, the invention provides a cyhnder lock for mounting on a panel.

  • the burglar When attempting to break in, the burglar can pull the first lock housing out of the cyhnder lock. This is not prevented. In contrast with an unprotected cylinder lock, however, the burglar cannot get to the carrier.
