Provided is clothing which is able to express a further three-dimensional silhouette with a sense of depth.

In clothing (1) having pleats (2), each of the pleats (2) includes a pleated part (21) in which a part of a cloth (3) covering a wearer is folded inward, and in the pleated part (21), upper cloths (32) are further folded inward, a predetermined distance of the cloths (32), which are overlapped each other due to the folding, is sewn together, and the sewn cloths (32) have outer surfaces thereof facing each other and are sewn together from inner surfaces thereof.

The present invention relates to clothing.

[Background Art]

Conventionally, there is clothing having pleats for the purpose of improving designability or functionality. For example, Patent Literature 1 discloses a skirt having pleats such as tack pleats and box pleats. It is possible to express an expansive three-dimensional effect and to enhance comfort of movement by including pleats.

[Summary of Invention]

[Technical Problem]

In clothing having pleats, a three-dimensional silhouette with a sense of depth can be expressed by repeatedly folding a cloth inward. However, this folded shape may not be maintained with movement of a wearer, and a three-dimensional shape unique to the pleats may be impaired.
An object of the present invention is to provide clothing which is able to express a further three-dimensional silhouette with a sense of depth.

[Solution to Problem]

In one aspect of the present invention, a clothing (1) has pleats (2). Each of the pleats (2) includes a pleated part (21) in which a part of a cloth (3) covering a wearer is folded inward. In the pleated part (21), upper cloths (32) are further folded inward, and a predetermined distance of the cloths (32), which are overlapped each other due to the folding, is sewn together.

According to the present invention, it is possible is to provide clothing which is able to express a further three-dimensional silhouette with a sense of depth.

[Description of Embodiments]

Hereinafter, embodiments of a clothing of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. A configuration described below is one embodiment of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
The clothing of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it has pleats, and examples thereof include clothing having pleats, such as skirts, dresses, shirts, suits and coats. Hereinafter, an example of a skirt having pleats will be described.
In the following description, upward means a direction Y1 in the drawings, and downward means a direction Y2 in the drawings. Further, right means a direction X1 in the drawings, and left means a direction X2 in the drawings. Furthermore, the inner side means the side in contact with a wearer, and the outer side means the side opposite to the inner side.
FIG. 1 shows an exterior of a skirt 1 which is one embodiment of the clothing according to the present invention.
The skirt 1 of the present embodiment is configured of a cloth 3 which covers the lower half of the body of the wearer from the waist. A length of the skirt 1 is not particularly limited, but for example, the skirt 1 has a length from the waist of the wearer to the ankles.
The skirt 1 has a plurality of pleats 2. The pleats 2 are formed by folding the cloth 3 inward.
The cloth 3 of the present embodiment includes a plurality of first cloths 31 and a plurality of second cloths 32. An amount of cloth of the skirt 1 can be increased by adding the second cloths 32 to the first cloths 31, and thus the beautiful drape-type pleats 2 can be formed.
The first cloths 31 have a length from an upper end to a lower end of the skirt 1. Also, the first cloths 31 have rectangular shapes.
The second cloths 32 are shorter than the first cloths 31 and have a length from a position spaced a predetermined distance downward from the upper end of the skirt 1 to the lower end. The positions of the lower ends of the first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32 are the same. Further, the second cloths 32 have triangular shapes having bases on the lower side.
The first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32 are alternately connected to form the skirt 1. Specifically, the plurality of first cloths 31 are arranged and disposed along a waistline of the wearer (in a rotation direction about a Y1-Y2 axis), the plurality of second cloths 32 are disposed on the hem side between the first cloths 31, and ends of both in the waistline direction are sewn together.

(Pleats)

The pleats 2 according to the present embodiment are provided at positions spaced a predetermined distance downward from the upper end of the skirt 1 by increasing an amount of cloth at a lower portion of the skirt 1 using the second cloths 32.
When upper ends of the pleats 2 are located above the wearer's knees, three-dimensional shape, which is a mermaid-type having an expansive hem, can be formed. It is possible to provide the skirt 1 which has high designability and allows the wearer to move easily.
FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of an upper portion of the pleat 2 in FIG. 1.
The pleat 2 includes a pleated part 21 in which the second cloths 32 that are a part of the cloth 3 are folded inward. The pleated part 21 gives the skirt 1 a three-dimensional effect with depth.
FIG. 3 is an enlarged view showing the upper portion of the pleat 2 from the inside.
The skirt 1 includes a fixing part 22 inside the pleated part 21.
In the fixing part 22, some of the second cloths 32 which constitute an upper portion of the pleated part 21 are further folded inward. Stitches 35 are provided by sewing together a predetermined distance of the second cloths 32, which overlap each other due to the folding. The inwardly folded shape of the pleated part 21 is fixed and maintained by the fixing part 22.
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view along line A-A of FIG. 3.
The stitches 35 having a length d1 are provided on the folded portions of the second cloths 32. The stitches 35 connect the second cloths 32 which are folded inward and overlap each other. Outer surfaces of the second cloths 32 face each other.
The first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32 are sewn together with their outer surfaces facing each other, and stitches 36 are provided. The stitches 36 are provided at positions spaced a predetermined distance from each of end portions of the first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32, and the stitches 36 connect the cloths.
Stitches 37 are provided at each of the end portions of the first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32 by an end treatment such as overlock stitching. The stitches 37 prevent the end portions of the first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32 from fraying.
FIG. 5 shows one of the first cloths 31 and one of the second cloths 32 before the second cloth 31 is folded and sewn together. The first cloth 31 and the second cloth 32 are connected to each other by the stitches 36 and then end-treated by the stitches 37.
When the fixing part 22 is formed, the second cloth 32 is folded inward along a perpendicular line 43 which extends from an apex 41 of a triangle shown by diagonal lines toward a base of the triangle. At this time, the second cloths 32, which are folded and have the outer surfaces thereof facing each other, are overlapped so that positions of two sides 42 of the triangle extending diagonally downward from the apex 41 as a starting point coincide with each other.
The overlapped second cloths 32 are sewn inward at the positions of the two sides 42, and thus the stitches 35 are provided. Sewing inward means sewing inner surfaces together. In other words, it means that the cloth is folded with outer surfaces facing each other and then sewn from the inner surfaces.
The length d1 of the stitches 35, that is, the predetermined distance d1 at which the second cloths 32 are sewn together, is not particularly limited, but is preferably about 2.5 to 4.0 cm, for example. When d1 is 2.5 to 4.0 cm, it is easy to maintain the inwardly folded shape of the pleat 2, and it is easy to maintain a sense of depth of the pleat 2.
It is preferable for a position of an upper end of the stitches 35, that is, a position of the apex 41, to be a position spaced downward a predetermined distance d2 from an upper end 321 of the triangular second cloth 32 so that the second cloth 32 can be easily sewn.
A distance d2 from the upper end 321 of the second cloth 32 to the apex 41 is preferably, for example, about 1.5 to 3.0 cm from the viewpoint of maintaining the inwardly folded shape of the pleat 2.
A distance d3 from the end portion of the second cloth 32 to the stitches 35 is not particularly limited, but may be, for example, about 0.5 to 1.0 cm. When d3 is 0.5 to 1.0 cm, stitching becomes easy, and the sense of depth of the pleated part 21 is easily formed.
A ratio of the inwardly folded portion to the second cloths 32, that is, a ratio of the perpendicular line 43 to a length of the perpendicular line from the upper end 321 of the second cloths 32 to the bottom side of the second cloths 32, is preferably about 1/20. Here, the length of the perpendicular line 43 is set to about 2.4 cm. In this case, it is easy to maintain the inwardly folded shape of the pleat 2, and it is easy to maintain the sense of depth of the pleat 2.
As described above, according to the skirt 1 of the present embodiment, the fixing part 22 is provided inside the upper portion of the pleated part 21. In the fixing part 22, the upper portion of the pleated part 21 folded inward is further folded inward and then sewn. Since the inwardly folded shape is fixed, even when the pleated part 21 is pushed outward by movement of the wearer such as walking or the like, the inwardly folded shape is unlikely to collapse. Therefore, the three-dimensional shape of the pleat 2 with the sense of depth can be maintained.
While the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and various variations and modifications can be made within the scope of the gist of the present invention.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the cloth 3 of the skirt 1 is constituted of the first cloths 31 and the second cloths 32, but three or more kinds of cloths may be used according to a target shape of the skirt 1. Further, the skirt 1 may be constituted of one piece of cloth 3. The pleats 2 can be similarly formed by adjusting an area of one piece of cloth 3.
Further, as in the above-described embodiment, a naturally folded shape can be formed by sewing the second cloths 32 at positions of the two sides 42 of the triangle. However, the sewing position is not limited thereto as long as the inwardly folded shape can be maintained. For example, the second cloths 32 may be folded so that positions of two parallel straight lines coincide with each other and then may be sewn together at those positions.
The present invention can be applied without being limited to the pleats 2 of the skirt 1 described above. For example, the three-dimensional shape of the pleats with the sense of depth can be maintained by providing the above-described fixing part 22 on pleats provided on a hem of a dress, pleats provided on the back side of a shirt, pleats provided on cuffs, or the like.
Further, the present invention may be applied to maintain the three-dimensional shape not only in the pleats 2 which are formed by folding the cloth but also in a drape which is formed in a wavy shape pleats without being folded.

Claims

Clothing (1) having pleats (2),
wherein each of the pleats (2) includes a pleated part (21) in which a part of a cloth (3) covering a wearer is folded inward, and

in the pleated part (21), upper cloths (32) are further folded inward, and a predetermined distance of the cloths (32), which are overlapped each other due to the folding, is sewn together.
The clothing according to claim 1,
wherein the sewn cloths (32) have outer surfaces thereof facing each other and are sewn together from inner surfaces thereof.
The clothing according to claim 1 or 2,
wherein the upper cloths (32) of the pleated part (21) are folded along a perpendicular line extending from an apex of a triangle and are sewn at positions of two sides which extend a predetermined distance diagonally downward from the apex as a starting point.
The clothing according to any one of claims 1 to 3,
wherein the clothing (1) is a skirt which covers the lower half of the body from the waist of the wearer, and the pleats (2) are provided at positions spaced a predetermined distance downward from an upper end of the skirt.
The clothing according to claim 4,
wherein upper ends of the pleats (2) are located above knees of the wearer.
