Definitions
- the present invention relates to a set consisting of a shower device that can be mounted on a bowl, in particular a toilet bowl, and a base unit
- a mobile shower device is thought of here, which is therefore only temporarily mounted on the bowl in order to implement a pelvic shower function for a user sitting over the bowl or on the bowl during assembly.
- the shower device has a fastening area with a fastening device. It also includes a shower arm with a shower nozzle therein, the shower arm of course being connected to the attachment means.
- the actual shower device which is to be mounted on the bowl or is mounted there, only with the devices required directly there, in particular a fastening device for mounting and a dispensing device for the shower water, in particular a shower nozzle, preferably on a distal end of a shower arm.
- the base unit has a water heater for heating the shower water.
- it can have a water tank (as an alternative to a possible fixed water connection to the mains) and a water pump.
- the basic device is mobile, so it can be transported from one place of use to another and reassembled and used with the water pipe part and the shower facility. So the users can choose the set from the base unit and the shower facility e.g. B. take it with you when you move, so that shower toilets can also be used more easily in the rental market.
- a mobile solution according to the invention thus opens up further areas of application. This applies similarly to travel and a corresponding application to toilets, e.g. B. in hotels, holiday apartments or when camping in a caravan or mobile home.
- the GB 2 562 326 A shows a set consisting of a mobile shower device that can be operated and held in the hand and a basic device with a water heater that is mounted on the back of a toilet and is connected via a flexible water pipe part.
- the WO 00/55438 A shows a set according to the preamble of claim 1, in particular in one embodiment, a mobile base unit and an overheating protection device to prevent the water temperature of the shower water being too high.
- the CA 1 117 256 A also shows a set with an overheating protection device and the DE 26 00 689 A shows a shower toilet with a water heater and in the case of a mobile embodiment without such.
- the invention is based on the technical problem of specifying such a set of base unit and shower device that is advantageous in terms of usage properties for mobile use.
- the invention provides an overheating protection device to prevent excessively high water temperatures in the shower water. Namely, if a water heater, z. B. a preferred instantaneous water heater is used, there is a residual risk of malfunction and thus the impairment or even injury of a user by too hot shower water.
- a conventional overheating protection device would lead to a lack of acceptance in mobile applications because there is a risk of the overheating protection function being triggered unintentionally.
- the base unit could get hot in the sunshine in a parked vehicle or e.g. B. get too warm when packing or unloading outdoors due to sunlight. Then the overheating protection device would respond.
- such devices can only be restored to normal operation by service personnel, which would render the set unusable for the remainder of the trip, or at least preclude further use of the water heater until the problem is resolved.
- an operating device that can be actuated by the user for resetting the overheating protection device should now be provided on the base device. This allows the user to help himself and bring the basic device back into working order with a simple operation.
- the operating device is easily accessible, preferably directly from the outside. It would also be possible, albeit less preferred, to open a cover or flap without tools. In any case, no dismantling of the housing or even other parts is necessary, as is necessary with conventional shower toilets to achieve a reset.
- a favorable and preferred arrangement is in a base of the base unit, so that the operating device is not visible during normal use. It also does not affect the possibilities of connecting the basic device to the visible ones Make surfaces as smooth, easy to clean and attractive as possible. On the other hand, it poses no significant problem for the user to tip over or lift up the base unit for operation.
- a depressible button may be provided, e.g. B. with your finger or a writing implement or other narrow object.
- a button z. B. moves a lever provided within the housing and then a switch can be actuated, which in turn triggers the reset function.
- the lever is a rocker arm with two arms angled toward one another. The two arms are firmly connected to each other and can be moved together around a tilting joint. One lever arm is acted upon by the button and the other lever arm then actuates the switch.
- a water tank in the base unit, so that the base unit is independent of a line connection.
- the water tank then stores the amount of water required for a certain operating time. It can preferably be removed from the base unit for cleaning or filling. Particularly preferably, it is placed on top of the rest of the base unit and can be lifted off of it.
- it can have handles, preferably two, and preferably molded into the side walls of the water tank. It can be z. B. are depressions in the side walls, in particular on the lower edge. Such handles are not bulky, are particularly simple in terms of production technology and still make it easier to lift off the water tank.
- the water tank preferably has a cover that can be opened and preferably removed for filling.
- the lid can cover the entire top, so there is a relatively large opening when opening or taking it off.
- the water tank when the water tank is in place, it is connected to the rest of the base unit by a valve in its base, with the valve preferably opening automatically when it is put on and when it is removed closes automatically.
- the user therefore does not have to carry out any further operating operations apart from putting on and taking off (and filling).
- An elastomer counterpart for the valve can be provided in the corresponding upper side of the rest of the basic device.
- this elastomer counterpart can in turn be designed in one piece with a piece of tubing which is connected to it and leads to a water pump of the basic device.
- a new elastomer body can simply be connected to the water pump after opening the housing and fastened to the top of the basic device. The same applies to any cleaning or sterilization of this elastomer body.
- the water tank is preferably not too high so that it can easily be held under a tap for filling. It preferably has a height of at most 20 cm, with an increasingly preferred upper limit: 19, 18 and 17 cm. Of course, this refers to the height without the lid, as far as this is removed for filling, i.e. the height that can actually be accommodated under the tap.
- the base of the (remaining) base unit can have a winding device for a connecting cable.
- This connection cable is used to power the water heater and, if necessary, the pump.
- Excess cable length can e.g. B. be wrapped around a built-in base flat (in the vertical direction) and wide (in the horizontal direction) pin and z. B. be held by undercuts. In the event of transport, this also applies to the entire connection cable.
- This pin is preferably attached to the (remaining) base and can thereby clamp the connection cable exiting between them and thus secure against tensile forces or their transmission to the actual electrical connections inside the housing.
- the arrangement in the floor offers an arrangement of such cable accommodation that is favorable for the aesthetic appearance and the cleaning properties.
- the basic device is also designed to be as smooth and easy-to-clean as possible on the surfaces that are visible in normal operation.
- switches or buttons relevant for the operation of the shower function are dispensed with, specifically preferably also on the base of the base unit.
- the base unit can be operated via a remote control, including a relevant app z.
- B. counts in a mobile phone. In any case, this refers to the shower function, it does not include the control device for the reset function of the overheating protection.
- the user does not have to touch the basic device (and, if already installed, also the shower device) at all, which is more hygienic in use.
- a preferred shape for the water tank on the one hand, the rest of the basic device on the other hand and also both in the assembled state is an approximately cuboid shape, for which reference is made to the exemplary embodiment for illustration.
- the side walls can of course be slightly sloping and the corners can be rounded. This shape is practical, aesthetic and easy to clean.
- the base device When set up, the base device preferably keeps the outer areas of its housing at a certain hygienic distance from the floor of at least 1.5 mm, preferably at least 2 mm or even at least 2.5 mm.
- this does not apply to (at least) one support foot, with the support foot or feet preferably being arranged at a distance from this outer edge and to that extent further inwards.
- this measure is intended to avoid a "capillary effect" of a narrow slot between the lower outer edge of the housing and the floor with regard to spilled water, cleaning water and the like. Instead, the floor in this area should be able to dry clean.
- a preferred choice for water heating is an instantaneous water heater, which requires a smaller construction volume than a boiler and also does not require any significant preheating time after installation and connection. This makes the instantaneous water heater particularly suitable for a mobile device.
- figure 1 shows a shower device with a shower arm 1, which is shown here in an extended state, ie with telescopic elements 8 and 9 protruding from the rest of the shower device on the right.
- the shower arm 1 is held in a latching manner in what is otherwise a largely one-piece plastic part 2, which in figure 2 is shown without the shower arm 1 for comparison.
- figure 1 still a flexible water pipe part 23 on the left edge, albeit only partially. This leads over a certain length from the actual position of use of the shower facility (on the edge of a toilet bowl) to a base unit standing on the floor next to the toilet according to Figures 9-11 .
- Two adhesive pads 4 are attached to an underside of the plastic part 2 in a fastening area 3 for fastening the plastic part 2 .
- the shower facility can be switched off figure 1 be pressed flat onto an equally flat rim of a standard toilet bowl and then adheres there.
- many microscopic suction devices on the underside of the adhesive pads 4 come into effect. This means that the shower device can be removed again at will and without leaving any residue, and it may need to be cleaned before it is reinstalled.
- the attachment area 3 is in the left part of the figure 1 recognizable flat area, which merges in a kink area 5 into a holding device 6 which is arranged deep and forms a latching device for holding the shower arm 1.
- This holding device 6 has (seen in the axial direction of the shower arm 1) essentially an inverted U-shape which is open towards the bottom, compare figure 2 and 3 , Wherein it covers the shower arm 1 like a roof upwards and to the sides.
- Numeral 7 designates locking projections for holding the shower arm 1; in addition, one is in the figures 1 and 2 right-facing opening for the telescopic elements 8 and 9 of the shower arm 1 narrowed down slightly, as above all figure 2 shows.
- connection sockets 10 there is a gap between the two adhesive pads 4, in which the flexible water pipe part 23 runs, and at one in the Figures 3 , 5-8 easily recognizable connection sockets 10 is connected to a rear part of the shower arm 1.
- the flexible line part 23 is simply slid onto the socket 10, with this socket 10 having a highly elliptical cross-sectional shape Figures 3 and 5 , The flexible line part 23 imposes.
- the flexible water pipe part 23 can also be somewhat flattened between the flat structures holding the adhesive pads 4 in the fastening area 3 .
- the connecting piece 10 leads via a rigid water line part 11 into the actual cylinder part 12 of the shower arm 1, in which the telescopic elements 8 and 9 are also housed when retracted, compare those figures 5 and 8th .
- the rigid water pipe part 11 runs at an angle to the horizontal or the direction of the connecting piece 10, the angle according to the figures 7 and 8th is between very approximately 45° and 60° (depending on whether the upper or lower limit is considered).
- the rigid water line part 11 widens and thus guides the shower water into the cylinder part 12 already mentioned, the corresponding rear boundary of this cylinder part 12 being designed obliquely and thus continuing the lower wall of the rigid water line part 11 in a certain sense, compare figure 7 and 8th .
- the rigid water pipe part 11 also has a flat-elliptical flow cross-section downstream of the connecting piece 10, whereby it is evident from the Figures 5-7 widens in the transition into the cylinder section 12. In any case, there is a flat flow cross section with an approximately elliptical shape upstream of the bend region 5, in the bend region 5 and also a little further downstream.
- shower water can be supplied to the shower arm 1 via the flexible line part 23, which in turn is held with the plastic part 2 via an adhesive connection to the toilet bowl, but can be released from this plastic part 2 in a snap-in manner. Accordingly, the shower arm 1 can be removed without complete dismantling of the shower device and z. B. be cleaned.
- the separation into the two latchingly connected parts, namely the shower arm 1 and the plastic part 2 has advantages in terms of production technology.
- the holding device 6 actually holding the shower arm 1 bends downwards at a clear angle relative to the fastening area 3, compare figure 2 , And is thus already the shower arm 1 before its axial orientation obliquely downwards.
- the holding device 6 of the plastic part 2 largely protects the shower arm 1 from dirt in its retracted state, compare figure 4 .
- the shower arm 1 has a telescopic mechanism with two movable telescopic elements 8 and 9, the cylinder part 12 forming the first telescopic element, which correspondingly accommodates the second telescopic element 8 (which accommodates the third telescopic element 9).
- the figures 6 and 7 compared to the figures 5 and 8th show the extended and retracted state, where in the figures 6 and 7 shows a helical spring 24 tensioned between the rear inclined wall of the cylinder part 12 on the one hand and a holding arm 13 in the third telescopic element 9 on the other hand. This counteracts the water pressure supplied via the water pipe, so that the retracting and extending of the shower arm can be controlled via the water pressure.
- the second and third telescopic elements 8 and 9 have radial outward projections at their respective proximal ends, which are denoted by reference numerals 14 and 15 and each carry an O-ring for sealing.
- this sealing occurs in the extended state by abutting against an inwardly pointing radial collar at the respective distal end of the first and second telescopic element 12 and 8, respectively.
- this seal does not exist. Rather then bridges an in figure 7 and figure 8 recognizable channel depression 16, which is actually distributed three times over the circumference, the proximal radial projection 14 and guides water past this into the intermediate space 17 ( figure 8 ) between the cylinder part 12, i.e. the first telescopic element 12, and the second telescopic element 8.
- FIG. 6-8 clearly visible shower nozzle 18 water into an intermediate space 19 between the second telescopic element 8 and the third telescopic element 9.
- the water from the first-mentioned intermediate space 17 can flow through a distal annular gap within the radially inward-pointing distal collar of the cylinder part 12, but above all through an in figure 8 with 20 designated small opening in the lower part of the annular gap exit.
- this opening 20 is covered by a nose 21 pointing downwards at the distal end of the third telescopic element 9 .
- the water from the intermediate space 19 similarly exits through the distal annular gap between the second telescopic element 8 and the third telescopic element 9 .
- FIGS. 6 to 8 Incidentally, show below and upstream of the shower nozzle 18 a turbulence chamber 22, to that of the prior art EP 2 628 546 and which is connected to an internal cavity proximal thereto in the third telescopic member 9 (and otherwise the internal cavities in the second and first telescopic members) by a short axially extending length of conduit.
- the lug 21 already described at the distal end of the third telescopic element 9 also serves as a stop when retracting, because it comes into contact with the distal end of the second telescopic element 8 at the bottom, specifically in a specially designed manner designated niche, compare figure 1 .
- the nose 21 is long enough so that z. B. in the event of jamming or without water pressure, the shower arm 1 can also be extended manually. To do this, the nose 21 is simply pulled with a finger.
- shower device is a base unit 30 according to Figures 9-11 responsible, which together form a set as a mobile solution for upgrading an ordinary toilet to a shower toilet.
- figure 9 shows a water tank 31 with an essentially cuboid shape, which is placed on a base part 32 and covered by a cover 33 at the top.
- figure 9 12 specifically shows a housing of the base part 32.
- the water tank 31 can be made of transparent or translucent material and can indicate the water level. If necessary, it is simply lifted upwards, for which purpose two recessed grips, one of them in figure 9 visible and numbered 34. After the lid 33 has been lifted off, the water tank 31 can then be filled, placed back on the base part 32 and closed again with the lid 33 . Without the lid, the water tank is about 16.5 cm high and can therefore easily be placed under a tap, e.g. B. to keep in a sink.
- a tap e.g. B.
- the base part 32 also essentially has the shape of a cuboid. It has no external switches or other controls other than what is related to figure 10 is explained. If the in figure 9 visible housing cover is removed, the result is a view like in figure 11 , which is not explained in detail.
- central elastomeric element 35 for which the housing cover has a central recess and into which a valve of the water tank 31 engages.
- a central pin 36 can be seen within the elastomeric element 35, with which the valve of the water tank 31 is automatically opened (and closed again when lifted off).
- the elastomeric element 35 is in one piece executed with a hose 37 leading to the water pump 38.
- the water pump 38 is mounted in a vibration-insulated manner to reduce noise and is connected to a continuous-flow heater 39 in a manner that is not shown in detail.
- figure 11 shows an approximately vertically upward-pointing lever 40 in front of the continuous-flow heater, which has a second lever arm, not shown here, close to the ground and running approximately at right angles thereto.
- the second lever arm can be connected via an in figure 10
- the push button shown above can be pushed upwards as the operating device 41 and is articulated with its end opposite to the transition (to the second arm). Accordingly, pressing in the operating device 41 leads to an inward movement of the in figure 11 shown vertical arm of the lever 40, which actuates an electric button concealed behind it and the reset function of an overheating protection of the instantaneous water heater 39 is triggered.
- the base portion 32 includes an electronic controller 42 and some other parts that are not particularly relevant to the understanding of the present invention.
- the controller 42 has an interface according to the "Low Energy Bluetooth" standard and can, for. B. be addressed via an app on a mobile phone. The user can thus operate the shower function and also program the controller 42 without touching the base unit 30 . The only exception here is the reset function with the mechanical operating device 41 .
- figure 10 12 shows a bottom view of the base part 32.
- FIG figure 9 a connecting piece 43 is provided for a not shown here and in figure 1 visible with its other end visible flexible water pipe part 23, which is quite a length of z. B. can have more than a meter to a flexible arrangement of the base unit figure 9 next to the toilet bowl allow.
- the water line leading to the socket 43 is in figure 11 numbered with 44 and leads from the water heater 39 forth.
- an electrical connection cable the continuing portion and plug of which are omitted, and which bears the symbol 45.
- This cable is wound around a flat spigot as a winding device 46, which can be found in figure 10 with its lowest section, which is somewhat enlarged compared to the "remaining part" behind it.
- the remainder of the cable 45 lies behind the visible surface, but is wound around a remainder of the winding device 46 approximately corresponding to the central oval 47 .
- the visible part of the winding device 46 forms a stand and ensures that the figure 9 visible lower edge of the base part 32 is about 3 mm above the ground.
Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Set aus einer Duscheinrichtung, die an einer Schüssel, insbesondere einer WC-Schüssel, montiert werden kann, und aus einem BasisgerätThe present invention relates to a set consisting of a shower device that can be mounted on a bowl, in particular a toilet bowl, and a base unit
A mobile shower device is thought of here, which is therefore only temporarily mounted on the bowl in order to implement a pelvic shower function for a user sitting over the bowl or on the bowl during assembly. For this purpose, the shower device has a fastening area with a fastening device. It also includes a shower arm with a shower nozzle therein, the shower arm of course being connected to the attachment means.
In principle, it is advantageous to equip the actual shower device, which is to be mounted on the bowl or is mounted there, only with the devices required directly there, in particular a fastening device for mounting and a dispensing device for the shower water, in particular a shower nozzle, preferably on a distal end of a shower arm.
For reasons of space and to simplify and reduce the size of the shower device described, other devices can be provided remotely in a base device which is connected to the shower device via a flexible water line part. The base unit has a water heater for heating the shower water. In addition, it can have a water tank (as an alternative to a possible fixed water connection to the mains) and a water pump.
In any case, the basic device is mobile, so it can be transported from one place of use to another and reassembled and used with the water pipe part and the shower facility. So the users can choose the set from the base unit and the shower facility e.g. B. take it with you when you move, so that shower toilets can also be used more easily in the rental market.
In the state of the art, many tenants omit the permanent installation costs for a shower toilet assembly for cost reasons or for lack of the landlord's consent. A mobile solution according to the invention thus opens up further areas of application. This applies similarly to travel and a corresponding application to toilets, e.g. B. in hotels, holiday apartments or when camping in a caravan or mobile home.

The invention is based on the technical problem of specifying such a set of base unit and shower device that is advantageous in terms of usage properties for mobile use.
Hierzu ist ein Set gemäß Anspruch 1 vorgesehen. Bevorzugte Ausgestaltungen sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche.A set according to
In a mobile basic device of the type described, the invention provides an overheating protection device to prevent excessively high water temperatures in the shower water. Namely, if a water heater, z. B. a preferred instantaneous water heater is used, there is a residual risk of malfunction and thus the impairment or even injury of a user by too hot shower water.
However, according to the inventors, a conventional overheating protection device would lead to a lack of acceptance in mobile applications because there is a risk of the overheating protection function being triggered unintentionally. For example, the base unit could get hot in the sunshine in a parked vehicle or e.g. B. get too warm when packing or unloading outdoors due to sunlight. Then the overheating protection device would respond. Usually, such devices can only be restored to normal operation by service personnel, which would render the set unusable for the remainder of the trip, or at least preclude further use of the water heater until the problem is resolved.
According to the invention, an operating device that can be actuated by the user for resetting the overheating protection device should now be provided on the base device. This allows the user to help himself and bring the basic device back into working order with a simple operation.
For this purpose, the operating device is easily accessible, preferably directly from the outside. It would also be possible, albeit less preferred, to open a cover or flap without tools. In any case, no dismantling of the housing or even other parts is necessary, as is necessary with conventional shower toilets to achieve a reset.
A favorable and preferred arrangement is in a base of the base unit, so that the operating device is not visible during normal use. It also does not affect the possibilities of connecting the basic device to the visible ones Make surfaces as smooth, easy to clean and attractive as possible. On the other hand, it poses no significant problem for the user to tip over or lift up the base unit for operation.
For example, a depressible button may be provided, e.g. B. with your finger or a writing implement or other narrow object. With such a button z. B. moves a lever provided within the housing and then a switch can be actuated, which in turn triggers the reset function. In the exemplary embodiment, the lever is a rocker arm with two arms angled toward one another. The two arms are firmly connected to each other and can be moved together around a tilting joint. One lever arm is acted upon by the button and the other lever arm then actuates the switch.
Furthermore, there can be a water tank in the base unit, so that the base unit is independent of a line connection. The water tank then stores the amount of water required for a certain operating time. It can preferably be removed from the base unit for cleaning or filling. Particularly preferably, it is placed on top of the rest of the base unit and can be lifted off of it. For this purpose, it can have handles, preferably two, and preferably molded into the side walls of the water tank. It can be z. B. are depressions in the side walls, in particular on the lower edge. Such handles are not bulky, are particularly simple in terms of production technology and still make it easier to lift off the water tank.
Furthermore, the water tank preferably has a cover that can be opened and preferably removed for filling. The lid can cover the entire top, so there is a relatively large opening when opening or taking it off.
In a preferred embodiment, when the water tank is in place, it is connected to the rest of the base unit by a valve in its base, with the valve preferably opening automatically when it is put on and when it is removed closes automatically. The user therefore does not have to carry out any further operating operations apart from putting on and taking off (and filling). An elastomer counterpart for the valve can be provided in the corresponding upper side of the rest of the basic device. In the preferred embodiment, this elastomer counterpart can in turn be designed in one piece with a piece of tubing which is connected to it and leads to a water pump of the basic device. If the elastomer counterpart is to be replaced due to material fatigue or for hygiene reasons, a new elastomer body can simply be connected to the water pump after opening the housing and fastened to the top of the basic device. The same applies to any cleaning or sterilization of this elastomer body.
The water tank is preferably not too high so that it can easily be held under a tap for filling. It preferably has a height of at most 20 cm, with an increasingly preferred upper limit: 19, 18 and 17 cm. Of course, this refers to the height without the lid, as far as this is removed for filling, i.e. the height that can actually be accommodated under the tap.
In addition to the optional arrangement of the operating device for the reset function, the base of the (remaining) base unit, which has already been mentioned, can have a winding device for a connecting cable. This connection cable is used to power the water heater and, if necessary, the pump. Excess cable length can e.g. B. be wrapped around a built-in base flat (in the vertical direction) and wide (in the horizontal direction) pin and z. B. be held by undercuts. In the event of transport, this also applies to the entire connection cable. This pin is preferably attached to the (remaining) base and can thereby clamp the connection cable exiting between them and thus secure against tensile forces or their transmission to the actual electrical connections inside the housing. Furthermore, the arrangement in the floor offers an arrangement of such cable accommodation that is favorable for the aesthetic appearance and the cleaning properties.
The basic device is also designed to be as smooth and easy-to-clean as possible on the surfaces that are visible in normal operation. In particular, it is preferably provided that switches or buttons relevant for the operation of the shower function are dispensed with, specifically preferably also on the base of the base unit. Instead, in this embodiment, the base unit can be operated via a remote control, including a relevant app z. B. counts in a mobile phone. In any case, this refers to the shower function, it does not include the control device for the reset function of the overheating protection.
In this form, the user does not have to touch the basic device (and, if already installed, also the shower device) at all, which is more hygienic in use.
A preferred shape for the water tank on the one hand, the rest of the basic device on the other hand and also both in the assembled state is an approximately cuboid shape, for which reference is made to the exemplary embodiment for illustration. The side walls can of course be slightly sloping and the corners can be rounded. This shape is practical, aesthetic and easy to clean.
When set up, the base device preferably keeps the outer areas of its housing at a certain hygienic distance from the floor of at least 1.5 mm, preferably at least 2 mm or even at least 2.5 mm.
Of course, this does not apply to (at least) one support foot, with the support foot or feet preferably being arranged at a distance from this outer edge and to that extent further inwards. In particular, this measure is intended to avoid a "capillary effect" of a narrow slot between the lower outer edge of the housing and the floor with regard to spilled water, cleaning water and the like. Instead, the floor in this area should be able to dry clean.
A preferred choice for water heating is an instantaneous water heater, which requires a smaller construction volume than a boiler and also does not require any significant preheating time after installation and connection. This makes the instantaneous water heater particularly suitable for a mobile device.
