Definitions
- the invention relates to a closure cap for closing a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a container with such a closure cap according to the preamble of claim 24.
- closure caps which are held captive on the container and close the pouring opening.
- closure caps are also known which have two retaining straps which connect a threaded part of the closure cap to a guarantee ring of the closure cap. The two retaining straps can act as a hinge around which the threaded part can be folded away from the guarantee ring or from the container to be closed.
- Such a cap is from WO 2010/004919 A1 known.
- the tethers each have a slanting portion whose slanting angle with respect to a vertical line is gradually decreased as the threaded portion is moved upward with respect to the guarantee ring. This allows the straps to act as a hinge.
- a protruding piece is formed which protrudes downward. In the unfolded position of the threaded part, the protruding piece comes into contact with a claw portion of the container neck, which claw portion holds the guarantee ring on the container neck. The protruding piece keeps the threaded portion in the unfolded position and prevents the threaded portion from interfering with pouring a product contained in the container.
- WO2009/002057 A2 a closure according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed.
- a similar closure is disclosed.
- Two arms in the shape of an arc of a circle are formed on the guarantee ring.
- Each arm is connected to the closure on the one hand by means of a film hinge and a flexible area and on the other hand to the guarantee ring.
- the hinge effect is realized by the two arms.
- a tab is formed on the side skirt of the closure cap, which tab can be supported on the container neck when the closure cap is in the folded-out position. The closure cap is held in the unfolded position by the tab.
- the invention is characterized in that a second projection is formed on the outer wall of the web section and the open edge comes into contact with the second projection in the open position.
- the threaded portion is therefore devoid of a retaining projection which retains the threaded portion on the container neck in the open position as suggested in the prior art.
- the retaining projection according to the prior art has to be cut out of the anti-tamper ring, which inevitably weakens it.
- a second projection can be formed on the web section, with which the open edge of the threaded part comes into contact and is held thereon in the open position.
- the web section therefore has no weakening and is preferably the same height as the guarantee ring.
- the closure cap has sufficient stability to be able to be pressed onto the container neck without being destroyed. Placing the closure cap on the container neck after the container has been filled can therefore done mechanically and accordingly quickly by bouncing. Furthermore, the threaded part is free of projections, which prevents snagging or jamming by a projection of the threaded part when the threaded part is used. This makes the threaded portion more user-friendly than prior art threaded portions.
- the second projection is formed on the edge of the anti-tamper ring facing the threaded part.
- the threaded part is folded out as far as possible in the open position and does not interfere with the use of the container. Since the threaded part in the open position can only be unfolded so far that it comes into contact with the support ring of the container, the unfolding angle is greatest for geometric reasons when the second projection is as far away from the support ring as possible.
- the contact on the support ring in the open position makes the mount more stable because there are two support points.
- the second projection is a step that protrudes radially outwards.
- the open edge of the threaded part can stably snap into place at the transition from the second projection to the container neck in the open position.
- the second projection is oriented obliquely downwards in the direction of the container in order to strengthen the holding effect of the threaded part.
- the second projection preferably has the same length as the web section. However, it would also be conceivable for the length of the second projection to be shorter than the length of the web section.
- the second projection has a height of between 1 and 4 mm and preferably between 2 and 3 mm. This height is sufficient to keep the threaded portion stable in the open position and to prevent the open edge from jumping over the second projection. On the other hand, the height is not too high that the first and second tethers would have to be overstretched to pull the open edge over the second protrusion.
- the first and the third end enclose a first opening angle of at least 15 degrees and at most 40 degrees and preferably at least 20 and at most 25 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as the apex and the second and the fourth The ends enclose a second opening angle of at least 220 degrees and at most 270 degrees and preferably at least 240 and at most 260 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex.
- the opening angle which the web section encloses with the center point as the apex, essentially corresponds to the first opening angle.
- the web section is preferably formed by cutting out the first and second retaining straps from the guarantee ring. It would also be conceivable that a larger distance is provided between the first end of the first retaining strap and the web section or the third end of the second retaining strap and the web section than if the distance is formed by cutting out the retaining straps.
- first and second end enclose a third opening angle of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex.
- the third and the fourth end enclose a fourth opening angle of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex.
- the first and second retaining straps have a length which allows the unscrewing, the transfer of the threaded part to the open position and the holding of the threaded part in the open position.
- the tethers obtain the appropriate position on the guarantee ring to allow the protruding movements of the threaded part.
- the third and the fourth opening angle are expediently of the same size, as a result of which the first and the second retaining strap are of the same length. As a result, the threaded part is held in the second position with an even pull.
- first, second, third and fourth opening angles have a circle center as their apex, the sum of their angles must be 360 degrees.
- the length of the first and second retaining straps is dimensioned such that they are stretched in the open position and the threaded part is held in the open position.
- the retaining straps are preferably stretched elastically, as a result of which the threaded part moves repeatedly between the closed position and the open position can move. The tension of the tethers allows the threaded portion to be held wobble-free in the open position.
- the cross section of the first and second retaining strap is constant along the length of the first and second retaining strap.
- the retaining straps thus have constant elastic properties along their length, as a result of which a defined length of the retaining straps can be determined in which the threaded part can be held on the guarantee ring in a stable and wobble-free manner in its open position.
- the first and second tethers are pretensioned.
- the elastic prestressing of the retaining straps makes it possible for the threaded part to be unscrewed from the container neck and screwed back onto it several times and to be reliably held several times in the open position.
- the constant cross-section of the tethers along their length prevents overstretching of the tethers in the open position, in which the elastic properties of the tethers may be lost.
- a first or a second constriction of the cross section of the first or the second retaining strap is provided at the second or the fourth end, whereby the second or the fourth end can act as a joint.
- the movement of the first and second retaining straps during the transfer of the threaded part from the closed position to the open position is facilitated by this joint function or is defined in a direction of rotation.
- the first and the third end have a joint function, so that the first and the second retaining strap can be moved like levers with two pivot points during the movement of the threaded part.
- the first and third ends may be hingedly attached to the open edge.
- the guarantee webs are arranged at regular intervals along the open edge.
- the guarantee ring is therefore held sufficiently stable on the threaded part so that the closure cap can be pressed onto the container neck.
- the threaded part can also be unscrewed with even force due to the even spacing of the guarantee bars.
- the first, second, third and fourth predetermined breaking webs are expediently arranged at equal intervals along the first and second or the third and fourth edge.
- the closure cap is also sufficiently stable in the area of the first and second retaining straps to be able to be pressed onto the container neck.
- the broken predetermined breaking points and guarantee bars indicate that the Threaded part has already been twisted in relation to the container neck and is no longer originally closed.
- a first and second recess for receiving the first and second retaining strap is expediently provided on the edge of the anti-tamper ring facing the first and second retaining strap.
- the first and second retaining straps can be shaped from the guarantee ring in a space-saving manner and without additional material expenditure.
- the first and second tethers can be cut out of the guarantee ring or formed during the manufacturing process of the closure cap.
- first and/or the second end of the first retaining strap and the third and/or the fourth end of the second retaining strap can be bent along predefined folding lines.
- first and second straps can each act like a lever with two pivot points.
- the fold lines also make it possible for the first and second retaining straps not to be bent or kinked at random positions in the open position, but rather precisely at the fold lines.
- the threaded part is held particularly precisely in the open position by the two retaining straps and is guided exactly into the open position by the two retaining straps.
- a groove is provided on the first cylindrical jacket of the closure cap for receiving a support ring formed on the container neck when the threaded part is in the open position.
- the threaded part is held stably in the open position by the groove into which a section of the support ring snaps.
- the first and second retaining straps are preferably slightly stretched in the open position.
- the closure cap can be free from the second projection when the groove is provided.
- the closure cap can also have the second projection and the groove. Then the thread part is held in the open position even more stably since it is held by the second projection and the support ring. It is necessary that the second projection has a sufficient height so that it can come into contact with the open edge in the open position.
- the threaded part is held in a non-positive and positive manner on the support ring and on the guarantee ring.
- the groove is expediently oriented essentially parallel to the open edge, with the groove having the shape of a straight depression.
- Such a groove shape is with can be produced with little effort, since the mold can be designed relatively simply and the closure cap can be easily removed from the mold.
- a plurality of ribs is formed on the outside of the first cylindrical shell, the length of which extends in the axial direction and the height of which extends in the radial direction of the threaded part.
- the provision of the groove requires a thickness of the threaded portion which is greater than the depth of the groove. Threaded parts with ribs, which are known from the prior art, are particularly suitable for providing the groove due to their increased thickness.
- the groove is advantageously realized in that a U-shaped indentation is provided on adjacent ribs, the depth of the respective indentation on the adjacent ribs decreasing on both sides, starting from a central rib.
- This shape of the depressions enables the simplified manufacture described above.
- an inwardly protruding inner cone e.g. in the form of a sealing cylinder or a sealing ring
- the closure cap can therefore act as a so-called “cone sealer” and reliably seals the bottle neck.
- the retaining strap has a width of between 3 mm and 7 mm and preferably a width of between 4 mm and 5 mm. This dimensioning ensures that the retaining strap does not tear off unintentionally, especially if the predetermined breaking points are torn off.
- the closure cap is not too high and can be joined together with standardized container necks with an external thread to form a seal.
- the invention is also characterized in that the closure cap is designed to interact with a standardized container neck with an external thread and an annular projection.
- the closure cap can therefore be placed on standardized container necks, in particular on PET beverage bottles.
- Containers which are joined together with the closure cap according to the invention therefore do not have to be specially adapted to the closure cap.
- the closure cap is expediently made of a plastic material, preferably HDPE (high density polyethylene) or PP (polypropylene).
- the closure cap can therefore be manufactured using standard plastic materials from which known closure caps with a guarantee ring are also manufactured.
- the threaded part, the guarantee ring, the retaining strap and the at least one first and second predetermined breaking element are produced in one piece.
- the closure cap can be produced in an injection mold without further processing steps being necessary in order to form the first and second retaining band.
- the inner cone is preferably also produced in one piece together with the other parts of the closure cap.
- the anti-tamper ring has slots distributed over the circumference with an upper edge and a lower edge, the upper edge being formed by a section of the anti-tamper ring running in the shape of a circular arc and the lower edge being formed by a wall section that is inclined inwards in the radial direction and the bottom edge of each slot forms the projections, thereby providing engagement means for positive engagement with the annular projection. Since the engagement means in the form of the inwardly inclined wall sections are not present over the entire circumference of the anti-tamper ring and slots are also present, the design of which further reduces the use of material, the material requirement for plastic can be significantly reduced by up to 5%.
- the wall section cannot move inward in the radial direction, as a result of which the anti-tamper ring is held on the annular projection and can only be pulled over it when the anti-tamper ring is stretched along its circumference.
- the anti-tamper ring is held by the wall sections on the annular projection so firmly that the predetermined breaking elements are certain to tear before the holding of the wall sections is overcome.
- the wall sections are flexible or moveable in the radial outward direction. As a result, the wall sections can be demolded from the injection mold or the injection mold with little effort. For the same reason, the application force for snapping open the closure cap is significantly reduced compared to the prior art. An expansion of the guarantee ring, which can lead to permanent damage to the closure cap, is largely prevented when demolding and pressing on.
- a further aspect of the invention relates to a container having a container body, a container neck adjoining the container body, an external thread formed on the container neck and a closure cap according to the above description.
- a support ring is formed at the transition from the container neck to the container body and the threaded part is in in contact with the second protrusion and the support ring in his open position. The additional contact on the support ring in the open position makes the mount more stable, as there are two support points.
- the support ring is accommodated in the groove in the open position and as a result the threaded part is held in a positive and non-positive manner on the second projection and on the support ring.
- the threaded part is held particularly stably in the open position.
- only the groove is provided on the closure cap or only the second retaining projection or step is provided, ie either the second retaining projection or the groove.
- a closure cap is shown, which is denoted in its entirety by the reference numeral 11 .
- the closure cap 11 is held captive on a container 13, in particular on a bottle 13.
- the container 13 is in the Figures 3 to 5 implied.
- the closure cap 11 comprises a cylindrical threaded portion 15, a guarantee ring 17 and a first and a second retaining band 19a, 19b.
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are circular in shape and are formed from the anti-tamper ring 17.
- the threaded part 15 comprises a base 21 and a first cylindrical shell 23 with an open edge 25. On the inside of the shell 23 an internal thread 27 is formed.
- the container 13 comprises a container body 28 and a container neck 29 adjoining the container body 28.
- the container neck 29 is designed as a second cylindrical jacket.
- An external thread 31 is formed on the container neck 29 and interacts with the internal thread 27 .
- the closure cap 11 closes the pouring opening 33 which is provided inside the container neck 29 .
- the guarantee ring 17 is held on the container neck 13 in a form-fitting manner.
- a first annular projection 35 is formed on the outside of the container neck 29, which projections 37 formed on the inside of the anti-tamper ring 17 can reach under ( Figure 9 and 10 ).
- the guarantee ring 17 can be rotated relative to the container neck 29 .
- the first tether 19a has a first end 39 and a second end 41.
- the first end 39 is fixedly connected to the open edge 25.
- FIG. The second end 41 is firmly connected to the guarantee ring 17 .
- the closure cap 11 is held captive on the container 13 .
- the first retaining strap 19a has a first edge 43 and a second edge 45.
- the first edge 43 is connected to the open edge 25 by at least one first frangible web 47 and the second edge 45 is releasably connected to the guarantee ring 17 by at least one second frangible web 49.
- the second tether 19b has a third end 51 and a fourth end 53.
- the third end 51 is fixedly connected to the open edge 25.
- FIG. The fourth end 53 is firmly connected to the guarantee ring 17 .
- the closure cap 11 is also held captive on the container 13 .
- the second retaining strap 19b has a third edge 55 and a fourth edge 57.
- the third edge 55 is connected to the open edge 25 with at least one third predetermined breaking web 59 and the fourth edge 57 can be detached from the guarantee ring 17 by at least one fourth predetermined breaking web 61 tied together.
- the guarantee ring 17 is held on the open edge 25 with a plurality of guarantee bars 63 .
- the guarantee webs are preferably arranged at equal intervals on the guarantee ring 17 . It goes without saying that the areas occupied by the first and the second retaining strap 19a, 19b on the guarantee ring 17 are free of guarantee webs 63.
- first and the second retaining strap 19a, 19b has a width of between 4 mm and 5 mm so that it is sufficiently stable.
- the threaded part 15 is located according to the figures 1 or 2 in a closed position in which it is pressed or screwed onto the container neck 29 .
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are pulled upwards in the axial direction and can also be stretched elastically if required, so that the threaded part 15 can be unscrewed from the container neck 29 and folded away.
- a first and a second recess 65 , 67 are provided on the anti-tamper ring 17 .
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are accommodated in the first and second recesses 65,67. This makes it possible to work the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b directly out of the guarantee ring 17, for example by cutting them out of the guarantee ring.
- a circular arc-shaped web section 69 is formed, which preferably has the height of the guarantee ring 17.
- a second projection 71 is formed at the edge of the web portion 69, which faces the open edge 25, .
- the second projection 71 is in the form of a step protruding radially outward.
- the step has a height of preferably 2 to 3 mm.
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b act as a hinge about which the threaded part can be folded into the open position.
- the length of the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b is such that the open edge 25 is pulled against the anti-tamper ring 17 in the open position and is in contact with it.
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are preferably tensioned or elastically stretched. So that the threaded part 15 remains in the open position and does not fold back, it is positioned below the second projection 71 and held by the second projection 71 .
- the threaded portion 15 is also in contact with the support ring 72 of the container 13 ( figure 3 ).
- the web portion 69 Since the second projection 71 is formed on the anti-tamper ring 17 and not formed on the threaded portion 15, the web portion 69 has no weakenings attributable to the second projection.
- the guarantee ring 17 is therefore sufficiently stable to be able to be pressed onto the container neck 29 .
- the closure cap 11 Since the closure cap 11 is rotationally symmetrical, it has a center 73.
- the center 73 lies in the imaginary plane between the open edge 25 and the guarantee ring 17.
- the first end 39 and the third end 51 close a first opening angle 75 of at least 15 degrees and at most 40 degrees and preferably at least 20 and at most 25 degrees with respect to the center 73 as the apex.
- the second end 41 and the fourth end 53 enclose a second opening angle 77 of at least 220 degrees and at most 270 degrees and preferably at least 240 and at most 260 degrees with respect to the center point 73 as the apex.
- the first end 39 and second end 41 enclose a third included angle 79 of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as the vertex.
- the third end 51 and the fourth end 53 enclose a fourth opening angle 81 of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point 73 as the vertex.
- the sum of the first, second, third and fourth opening angles must be 75, 77, 79, 81 360 degrees, since the first, second, third and fourth opening angles have the circle center 73 as their apex.
- the first and second Retaining strap 19a, 19b has a certain length, which enables the functions of the closure cap 11 in combination with the second projection 71 described above.
- the third and fourth opening angles 79.81 are expediently of the same size, which means that the first and the second retaining strap 19a, 19b are of the same length.
- the first and the second retaining strap 19a, 19b are preferably worked out of the guarantee ring 17.
- a first and a second constriction 83, 85 of the cross section of the first and the second retaining strap 19a, 19b are provided.
- the first and second constriction 83,85 allow the second and fourth end 41,53 to act as a hinge.
- the cross-section of the first and second tethers (19a, 19b) is constant along the length of the first and second tethers (19a, 19b), respectively.
- the first and second retaining straps (19a, 19b) can be stretched constantly.
- the closure cap 11 If the closure cap 11 is pressed onto the container neck 29, the pouring opening 33 is closed by the closure cap 11 and the closure cap 11 is in the closed position.
- the first, second, third and fourth predetermined breaking webs 47,49,59,61 and the guarantee webs 63 break.
- the guarantee ring 17 rotates with the threaded part 15.
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b can straighten up.
- the second and the fourth end 41,53 acts as a joint through the first and second constriction 75,77.
- first and third ends 39, 51 can also be bent, for example outwards, because this simplifies the movement of the threaded part 15 into the open position and the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b can act as a hinge in a more defined manner .
- the threaded part 15 is folded into the open position after it has been unscrewed from the container neck 29 in that the open edge 25 is latched onto the second projection 71 .
- the first and second retaining straps 19a,19b have a length which allows the threaded part 15 to be unscrewed from the container neck 29 and in the open position is held on the second projection 71 .
- the length of the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b is precise vote. If the length of the tethers is too long, the threaded portion 15 will not be held sufficiently firmly to the second projection 71 and will wobble and not be supported on the second projection 71 . If the length of the retaining straps is too short, the threaded part 15 snaps back from the open position and prevents filling material from being poured out of the pouring opening 33.
- the threaded part 15 In the open position, the threaded part 15 is held captive on the container 13 and is fixed to the container neck 29 in such a way that it does not protrude into the pouring opening 33 when liquid is poured out of the container 13 .
- the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b make it possible for the threaded part 15, after it has been unscrewed from the container neck 29, to be transferred into the open position in a forced folding movement. Due to the forced guidance and the second projection 71 there is only one open position and not several.
- the length and cross-section of the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are preferably dimensioned such that the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b are elastically tensioned when the threaded part 15 is in the open position.
- the threaded part 15 is pulled against the container neck 29 and the second projection 71 in the open position and is held there without wobbling.
- the elastic prestressing of the first and second retaining straps 19a, 19b also makes it possible for the threaded part to be repeatedly transferred from the open position to the closed position and vice versa.
- the container neck 29 can be opened and closed several times and the threaded part 15 is held in the open position stably and without wobbling each time after opening.
- a groove 91 is provided on the first cylindrical shell 23 .
- the groove 91 is oriented essentially parallel to the open edge 25 and preferably has the shape of a straight depression. That is, the groove 91 does not describe a convex or concave arc relative to the first cylindrical shell 23, although this is also possible.
- the first cylindrical casing 23 must have a sufficient thickness, at least in the area of the groove 91, so that this can have a corresponding depth and the threaded part 15 does not become leaky due to the provision of the groove 91. It is therefore preferred if a plurality of ribs 93 are formed on the outside of the first cylindrical jacket 23 .
- Such ribs are known and, in addition to design aspects, serve the purpose of making it easier to unscrew and unscrew the threaded part 15 by increasing friction when touched.
- the length of the ribs 93 extends in the axial direction of the closure cap.
- the height of the ribs 93 extends in the radial direction of the threaded portion 15.
- the height of the ribs 93 may increase towards the bottom 21, whereby the threaded portion 15 has the shape of a truncated cone.
- the depth of the respective indentations 95 on the adjacent ribs 93 decreases on both sides.
- the groove 91 results from an intersection of two bodies, namely the threaded part 15 with a “rod”, which leaves the groove 91 as an impression.
- the groove 91 serves to accommodate the support ring 72 when the threaded part 15 is in the open position, as shown in figure 8 , which does not form part of the invention but is shown for illustrative purposes. It is therefore also conceivable for the groove 91 to have a shape which corresponds to an impression of the area of the support ring 72 which interacts with the groove 91 .
- the threaded part is held particularly stably in the open position on the container neck 29, since in the open position the threaded part 15 is held on the second projection 71 and on the support ring 72 in a positive and/or non-positive manner.
- the projections 37 can according to the following description of the figures Figures 9 and 10 be trained.
- This embodiment of the projections 37 is the content of the Swiss patent applications with the application numbers 01467/19 and 01695/19, the priorities of which were claimed and the disclosures of which are hereby incorporated into the present patent application.
- Slots 97 are provided on the guarantee ring distributed over the circumference of the guarantee ring 17 .
- the slots 97 each have an upper edge 99 and a lower edge 101 .
- the upper edge 99 is formed by a section of the anti-tamper ring 17 in the shape of a circular arc.
- the lower edge 101 corresponds to the free edge of a wall section 103 inclined inwards in the radial direction.
- the lower edge 101 has a smaller radius than the guarantee ring 17 due to the inner inclination of the wall section 103 and can thereby striking an abutment (annular projection 35) of the container neck 29 when the threaded part 15 is unscrewed from the container neck 29.
- the abutment is realized by the annular projection 35 which is formed below the external thread 31 on the container neck 29 .
- Each wall section 101 has a first section 105 and two second sections 107 .
- the first partial section 105 represents a jacket section that is folded inwards and is preferably flat.
- the second sections 107 adjoin the inward-facing sides of the first section 105 and connect it to the guarantee ring 17.
- the second sections 107 can be curved or flat and face one another at an angle inwards.
- the lower edge 101 of the slot 97 corresponds to the free edges of the first section 105 and the second sections 107 and lies in a plane 109 which is in figure 10 is shown.
- the plane 109 is preferably oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation 110 of the container neck 29 .
- the guarantee ring 17 can be easily removed from the mold and can be pressed onto the container neck 29 together with the threaded part 15 with little force.
- the flexibility of the wall section 103 means that it can be removed from an injection mold and pressed onto the container neck 29 without the risk of the wall section 103 being damaged.
- the inclined wall sections 103 have a reduced wall thickness compared to the rest of the anti-tamper ring 17 .
- the area of the lower edge 101 has the smallest wall thickness. This is the above described flexibility of the wall section 103 radially outward further improved.
- the wall thickness of the wall section 103 increases linearly downwards, starting from the lower edge 101 .
- the first angle of inclination 113 indicates the inclination of the first section 105 relative to the plane of the lower edge 101 .
- the first angle of inclination 113 has a magnitude between 60 and 80 degrees and preferably between 65 and 75 degrees. The larger the first angle of inclination 113, the better the stability of the wall sections 103 against vertical forces or axial tensile forces caused by unscrewing the threaded part 15. However, the first angle of inclination 113 must not be too large, otherwise the annular projection 35 will not can be adequately undercut.
- the second angle of inclination 115 indicates the inclination of the slot 97 with respect to the plane of the lower edge 111 .
- the straight connecting line 117 which represents the inclination of the slot 97, is a connection between the upper edge 99 and the lower edge 101 in a plane which is spanned by the axis of rotation 110 and the straight connecting line 117.
- the second angle of inclination 115 is enclosed by the straight connecting line 117 and the plane 109 .
- the second angle of inclination 115 has a magnitude between 30 and 50 degrees and preferably between 35 and 45 degrees. The greater the second angle of inclination 115, the easier it is for the guarantee ring 17 to be removed from the mold.
- an inner cone 87 ( figure 4 ), for example in the form of a sealing cylinder or a sealing ring.
- the inner cone 87 is designed to cooperate in a sealing manner with the inner wall 89 of the container neck 29 in the closed position.
- the closure cap 11 can therefore act as a so-called “cone sealer” and reliably seals the container neck 29 .
- the closure cap 11 is made of a plastic.
- Preferred plastics include PP and HDPE.

Description
The invention relates to a closure cap for closing a container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a container with such a closure cap according to the preamble of claim 24.
From the prior art in the field of plastic closure caps with a guarantee ring, closure caps are known which are held captive on the container and close the pouring opening. Such closure caps are also known which have two retaining straps which connect a threaded part of the closure cap to a guarantee ring of the closure cap. The two retaining straps can act as a hinge around which the threaded part can be folded away from the guarantee ring or from the container to be closed.

However, these prior art solutions have the disadvantage that the protruding piece or tab is cut out of the anti-tamper ring and the anti-tamper ring is thereby weakened. This weakening of the guarantee ring can lead to damage to the guarantee ring when the closure snaps onto the container neck. This weakened area can also make it possible for the guarantee ring to come loose unintentionally, for example as a result of manipulation or mechanical action. As a result, the anti-tamper ring, in conjunction with the anti-tamper bars, can no longer fulfill the task of indicating whether the closure has already been opened or not. Lastly, protrusions on the cap are not user friendly as they can break off or jam during use.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to propose a container closure which does not have the above disadvantages and which nevertheless reliably holds the closure in its opened position on the container neck.
The solution to the problem is achieved with a closure cap for closing a container by the features listed in the characterizing section of patent claim 1. Further developments and/or advantageous embodiment variants are the subject matter of the dependent patent claims.
The invention is characterized in that a second projection is formed on the outer wall of the web section and the open edge comes into contact with the second projection in the open position. The threaded portion is therefore devoid of a retaining projection which retains the threaded portion on the container neck in the open position as suggested in the prior art. The retaining projection according to the prior art has to be cut out of the anti-tamper ring, which inevitably weakens it. In contrast to this, according to the invention, a second projection can be formed on the web section, with which the open edge of the threaded part comes into contact and is held thereon in the open position. The web section therefore has no weakening and is preferably the same height as the guarantee ring. As a result, the closure cap has sufficient stability to be able to be pressed onto the container neck without being destroyed.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the second projection is formed on the edge of the anti-tamper ring facing the threaded part. As a result, the threaded part is folded out as far as possible in the open position and does not interfere with the use of the container. Since the threaded part in the open position can only be unfolded so far that it comes into contact with the support ring of the container, the unfolding angle is greatest for geometric reasons when the second projection is as far away from the support ring as possible. The contact on the support ring in the open position makes the mount more stable because there are two support points.
It has proven to be expedient if the second projection is a step that protrudes radially outwards. As a result, the open edge of the threaded part can stably snap into place at the transition from the second projection to the container neck in the open position. It is also conceivable that the second projection is oriented obliquely downwards in the direction of the container in order to strengthen the holding effect of the threaded part. The second projection preferably has the same length as the web section. However, it would also be conceivable for the length of the second projection to be shorter than the length of the web section.
It has proven to be advantageous if the second projection has a height of between 1 and 4 mm and preferably between 2 and 3 mm. This height is sufficient to keep the threaded portion stable in the open position and to prevent the open edge from jumping over the second projection. On the other hand, the height is not too high that the first and second tethers would have to be overstretched to pull the open edge over the second protrusion.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the first and the third end enclose a first opening angle of at least 15 degrees and at most 40 degrees and preferably at least 20 and at most 25 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as the apex and the second and the fourth The ends enclose a second opening angle of at least 220 degrees and at most 270 degrees and preferably at least 240 and at most 260 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex. By choosing these angle sizes, the first and second retaining straps on the guarantee ring are in one Position in which they extend substantially tangentially along the container neck in the open position of the threaded portion. As a result, the tethers move with the threaded portion without catching on the container finish when the threaded portion is moved to the open position.
Expediently, the opening angle, which the web section encloses with the center point as the apex, essentially corresponds to the first opening angle. The web section is preferably formed by cutting out the first and second retaining straps from the guarantee ring. It would also be conceivable that a larger distance is provided between the first end of the first retaining strap and the web section or the third end of the second retaining strap and the web section than if the distance is formed by cutting out the retaining straps.
It is preferred if the first and second end enclose a third opening angle of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex.
It is also preferred if the third and the fourth end enclose a fourth opening angle of at least 30 degrees and at most 60 degrees and preferably at least 40 and at most 50 degrees with respect to the center point of the closure cap as apex. By this choice of the third and fourth opening angle, the first and second retaining straps have a length which allows the unscrewing, the transfer of the threaded part to the open position and the holding of the threaded part in the open position. In combination with the first and second opening angles, the tethers obtain the appropriate position on the guarantee ring to allow the protruding movements of the threaded part.
The third and the fourth opening angle are expediently of the same size, as a result of which the first and the second retaining strap are of the same length. As a result, the threaded part is held in the second position with an even pull.
Since the first, second, third and fourth opening angles have a circle center as their apex, the sum of their angles must be 360 degrees.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the length of the first and second retaining straps is dimensioned such that they are stretched in the open position and the threaded part is held in the open position. The retaining straps are preferably stretched elastically, as a result of which the threaded part moves repeatedly between the closed position and the open position can move. The tension of the tethers allows the threaded portion to be held wobble-free in the open position.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the cross section of the first and second retaining strap is constant along the length of the first and second retaining strap. The retaining straps thus have constant elastic properties along their length, as a result of which a defined length of the retaining straps can be determined in which the threaded part can be held on the guarantee ring in a stable and wobble-free manner in its open position. In the open position, the first and second tethers are pretensioned. The elastic prestressing of the retaining straps makes it possible for the threaded part to be unscrewed from the container neck and screwed back onto it several times and to be reliably held several times in the open position. The constant cross-section of the tethers along their length prevents overstretching of the tethers in the open position, in which the elastic properties of the tethers may be lost.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a first or a second constriction of the cross section of the first or the second retaining strap is provided at the second or the fourth end, whereby the second or the fourth end can act as a joint. The movement of the first and second retaining straps during the transfer of the threaded part from the closed position to the open position is facilitated by this joint function or is defined in a direction of rotation. It is also conceivable that the first and the third end have a joint function, so that the first and the second retaining strap can be moved like levers with two pivot points during the movement of the threaded part. For example, the first and third ends may be hingedly attached to the open edge.
It is preferred if the guarantee webs are arranged at regular intervals along the open edge. The guarantee ring is therefore held sufficiently stable on the threaded part so that the closure cap can be pressed onto the container neck. The threaded part can also be unscrewed with even force due to the even spacing of the guarantee bars.
The first, second, third and fourth predetermined breaking webs are expediently arranged at equal intervals along the first and second or the third and fourth edge. As a result, the closure cap is also sufficiently stable in the area of the first and second retaining straps to be able to be pressed onto the container neck. In addition, the broken predetermined breaking points and guarantee bars indicate that the Threaded part has already been twisted in relation to the container neck and is no longer originally closed.
A first and second recess for receiving the first and second retaining strap is expediently provided on the edge of the anti-tamper ring facing the first and second retaining strap. As a result, the first and second retaining straps can be shaped from the guarantee ring in a space-saving manner and without additional material expenditure. For example, the first and second tethers can be cut out of the guarantee ring or formed during the manufacturing process of the closure cap.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the first and/or the second end of the first retaining strap and the third and/or the fourth end of the second retaining strap can be bent along predefined folding lines. As a result, the first and second straps can each act like a lever with two pivot points. The fold lines also make it possible for the first and second retaining straps not to be bent or kinked at random positions in the open position, but rather precisely at the fold lines. As a result, the threaded part is held particularly precisely in the open position by the two retaining straps and is guided exactly into the open position by the two retaining straps.
In a further particularly preferred embodiment, a groove is provided on the first cylindrical jacket of the closure cap for receiving a support ring formed on the container neck when the threaded part is in the open position. The threaded part is held stably in the open position by the groove into which a section of the support ring snaps. The first and second retaining straps are preferably slightly stretched in the open position. The closure cap can be free from the second projection when the groove is provided. The closure cap can also have the second projection and the groove. Then the thread part is held in the open position even more stably since it is held by the second projection and the support ring. It is necessary that the second projection has a sufficient height so that it can come into contact with the open edge in the open position. The threaded part is held in a non-positive and positive manner on the support ring and on the guarantee ring.
The groove is expediently oriented essentially parallel to the open edge, with the groove having the shape of a straight depression. Such a groove shape is with can be produced with little effort, since the mold can be designed relatively simply and the closure cap can be easily removed from the mold.
In a further preferred embodiment, a plurality of ribs is formed on the outside of the first cylindrical shell, the length of which extends in the axial direction and the height of which extends in the radial direction of the threaded part. The provision of the groove requires a thickness of the threaded portion which is greater than the depth of the groove. Threaded parts with ribs, which are known from the prior art, are particularly suitable for providing the groove due to their increased thickness.
The groove is advantageously realized in that a U-shaped indentation is provided on adjacent ribs, the depth of the respective indentation on the adjacent ribs decreasing on both sides, starting from a central rib. This shape of the depressions enables the simplified manufacture described above.
It has proven to be expedient if an inwardly protruding inner cone, e.g. in the form of a sealing cylinder or a sealing ring, is formed on the bottom of the threaded part, which is designed to interact with the inner wall of the container neck in the closed position in a sealing manner. The closure cap can therefore act as a so-called "cone sealer" and reliably seals the bottle neck.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining strap has a width of between 3 mm and 7 mm and preferably a width of between 4 mm and 5 mm. This dimensioning ensures that the retaining strap does not tear off unintentionally, especially if the predetermined breaking points are torn off. In addition, the closure cap is not too high and can be joined together with standardized container necks with an external thread to form a seal.
The invention is also characterized in that the closure cap is designed to interact with a standardized container neck with an external thread and an annular projection. The closure cap can therefore be placed on standardized container necks, in particular on PET beverage bottles. Containers which are joined together with the closure cap according to the invention therefore do not have to be specially adapted to the closure cap.
The closure cap is expediently made of a plastic material, preferably HDPE (high density polyethylene) or PP (polypropylene). The closure cap can therefore be manufactured using standard plastic materials from which known closure caps with a guarantee ring are also manufactured.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the threaded part, the guarantee ring, the retaining strap and the at least one first and second predetermined breaking element are produced in one piece. As a result, the closure cap can be produced in an injection mold without further processing steps being necessary in order to form the first and second retaining band. The inner cone is preferably also produced in one piece together with the other parts of the closure cap.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the anti-tamper ring has slots distributed over the circumference with an upper edge and a lower edge, the upper edge being formed by a section of the anti-tamper ring running in the shape of a circular arc and the lower edge being formed by a wall section that is inclined inwards in the radial direction and the bottom edge of each slot forms the projections, thereby providing engagement means for positive engagement with the annular projection. Since the engagement means in the form of the inwardly inclined wall sections are not present over the entire circumference of the anti-tamper ring and slots are also present, the design of which further reduces the use of material, the material requirement for plastic can be significantly reduced by up to 5%. In addition, the wall section cannot move inward in the radial direction, as a result of which the anti-tamper ring is held on the annular projection and can only be pulled over it when the anti-tamper ring is stretched along its circumference. The anti-tamper ring is held by the wall sections on the annular projection so firmly that the predetermined breaking elements are certain to tear before the holding of the wall sections is overcome. However, the wall sections are flexible or moveable in the radial outward direction.
A further aspect of the invention relates to a container having a container body, a container neck adjoining the container body, an external thread formed on the container neck and a closure cap according to the above description.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a support ring is formed at the transition from the container neck to the container body and the threaded part is in in contact with the second protrusion and the support ring in his open position. The additional contact on the support ring in the open position makes the mount more stable, as there are two support points.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the support ring is accommodated in the groove in the open position and as a result the threaded part is held in a positive and non-positive manner on the second projection and on the support ring. In this variant, the threaded part is held particularly stably in the open position. However, it is also conceivable that only the groove is provided on the closure cap or only the second retaining projection or step is provided, ie either the second retaining projection or the groove.

A first and a
Since the
Since the
The
If the
As already described above, the threaded
In the open position, the threaded
