Definitions
- the invention relates to a shoe intended for the practice of many sports as well as golf, running or walking.
- a shoe extending between a toe and a heel and comprising an upper in engagement with an outsole via a comfort sole interposed between the upper and the comfort sole.
- the comfort sole and the outsole are attached to each other to form the sole of the shoe.
- the periphery of an orthogonal projection of the comfort sole of such a shoe comprises a first concave portion Z1 on the outside of the foot and a second concave portion Z2 on the inside of the foot, as illustrated by the figure 1 . These concave portions are located at the level of the arch of the foot.
- the document KR 2012 0074136 A which constitutes the closest state of the art to the knowledge of the Applicant, discloses a shoe extending between a toe and a heel and comprising an upper which is in engagement with an outsole by means of a comfort sole interposed between the upper and the outsole, the comfort sole comprising a bottom of the sole, and the bottom of the sole comprising a so-called upper face open on the upper, an opposite face, called lower, serving as a surface attachment to the outsole, an orthogonal projection of the underside of the bottom of the sole having at all points a radius of curvature giving said orthogonal projection a convex curvature.
- the object of the present invention is to propose an improvement in the performance of a shoe of the type mentioned above and in particular to propose a construction of the sole assembly which promotes the landing of the foot of a supinator or pronator runner.
- the subject of the invention is a shoe extending between a toe and a heel and comprising an upper engaged with an outsole by means of a comfort sole interposed between the upper and the outsole.
- the comfort sole comprises a bottom of the sole, the bottom of the sole comprising a face, called upper, open to the upper and an opposite face, called lower, serving as an attachment surface for the outsole, an orthogonal projection of the underside of the sole bottom having at all points a radius of curvature giving said orthogonal projection a convex curvature, characterized in that the comfort sole comprises a sole sidewall, and in that the said underside of the sole bottom of the comfort sole has in cross section, perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the comfort sole, a flat surface and a concave curvature rising from the flat surface towards the side of the sole.
- This sole construction produces interesting effects for running use, but also for walking use or for any other activity. It allows the comfort or outsole to always remain in contact with the ground, thus providing a contact surface that is always oriented in the direction of the rolling motion. foot, whether the runner has a normal, supinator or pronator stride. In addition, the position of the foot is stabilized in the walking or running phases. From which it follows that during physical activities such as walking or running, the invention makes it possible to avoid the loss of energy during the transition phases of the foot on the ground.
- the comfort sole consists of a sole bottom and a sole flank and can comprise a single or dual density EVA part.
- the side of the comfort sole is provided with ribs allowing said sole to be stiffened. This results in an additional stability effect, when used while running or walking.
- FIG 2 shows a shoe according to a first embodiment.
- the shoe extends between a toe 1 and a heel 3 and comprises an upper 5 engaged with an outsole 7 via a comfort sole 9 interposed between the upper 5 and the outsole 7
- the comfort sole 9 comprises a sole bottom 11 and a sole sidewall 13.
- the sole bottom 11 comprises a face 15, called upper, open on the upper 5 and an opposite face 17, called lower, serving as attachment to the outsole 7.
- an orthogonal projection P of the lower face 17 of the bottom of the sole 11 has at all points a radius of curvature R giving said orthogonal projection P a convex curvature 19.
- a width Z3 of the lower face 17 must, at the heel 3, be smaller than a width Z4 of said lower face 17, at the toe 1.
- the width is counted perpendicular to a longitudinal direction L of the comfort sole 9 , between heel and toe. This width ratio thus makes it possible to control better contact with the ground during the unrolling of the foot, to favor it and to improve the dynamic phase of walking or running, on flat ground, downhill or uphill.
- the comfort sole 9 advantageously comprises ribs 21 which rest on the bottom of the sole 11 and on the side of the sole 13 to stiffen said side 13.
- This arrangement makes it possible to optimize the walking phase or running by progressive crushing of the comfort sole 9 in the longitudinal direction L corresponding to the axis of walking or running.
- the ribs 21 oppose a deviation of the foot during the first support phase of the foot on the ground and thus contribute to the optimization of the compression work of the comfort sole 9.
- the ribs 21 can be asymmetrical. In the middle zone, between the heel 3 and the toe 1 of the shoe, they can be higher and longer in order to help maintain the arch of the foot.
- the number of ribs is variable. Depending on the applications sought, they can also have different stiffnesses, different shapes or be made of different materials.
- the lower surface 17 of the comfort sole 9 which is in contact with the outsole 7 has in cross section, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction L, a flat 25 and a concave curvature of 27 going up from the flat 25 towards the sole flank 13.
- the radius of the curvature 27 is favorably between 25 mm and 100 mm.
- the lowest point of the cross sections of the comfort and wear sole called the natural stabilizer of the shoe when it is placed on a substantially horizontal reference plane are flat zones. In the static phase, this makes it possible to find stability on a flat part L5.
- FIG 12 illustrates a second embodiment of the invention, which differs from the previous embodiment in that the comfort sole 9 is more flexible insofar as it has no stiffening rib on the side of the sole 13.
- the comfort sole 9 can follow a base line of the foot and only have a sole side 13 reduced to a bead 23.
- the comfort sole 9 is preferably made of a material that provides comfort and also holds the foot, such as rubber or EVA.
- the comfort sole 9 can also be made of PU (Polyurethane), or any other natural or synthetic foam. It can also be made of a material having elastic or viscoelastic properties such as an elastomer.
- the outsole 7 is made of any synthetic or natural material offering the properties necessary for grip and wear resistance.
