Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a make-up product.
  • In particular, it refers to a make-up product such as eyeshadow, foundation, powder, blusher, highlighter, lipstick made from paste, etc.
  • BACKGROUND ART
  • Commonly known make-up products, such as, for example, compact powders, baked powders, etc., are usually sold in plastic containers which are thrown away once the make-up substance is finished.
  • Furthermore, commonly known make-up products cannot be customised to users' needs. Users simply choose a 'ready-made' make-up product based on their needs.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The object of the present invention is to provide a customisable make-up product.
  • A further object of the invention is to provide a make-up article that is more environmentally friendly than conventional ones because it can be re-used.
  • This and other objects are achieved by means of a make-up product produced according to the technical teachings of the appended claims.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
  • Further features and advantages of the innovation will become clearer in the description of a preferred but not exclusive embodiment of the device, illustrated - by way of a non-limiting example - in the drawings annexed hereto, in which:
    • Figure 1 is a perspective view of a make-up product according to the present invention;
    • Figure 2 is a perspective view of certain disassembled parts of the make-up product in Figure 1;
    • Figure 3 is a side view of a cap for the make-up product in Figure 1;
    • Figure 4 is a simplified section view taken along line IV-IV in Figure 3;
    • Figure 5 is a simplified longitudinal section view of the product in Figure 1; and
    • Figure 6 is an exploded simplified section view of the make-up product in Figure 1.
    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference to the figures stated, reference number 1 is used to denote, as a whole, a make-up product.
  • The make-up product 1 comprises a housing 2 endowed with a first lateral opening 3 into which an interchangeable support 4 or card can be slidably inserted (in a drawer-like fashion).
  • The housing 2 also comprises a second opening 5 configured in such a way that when the support 4 is inserted into the housing 2, a make-up substance 60 present on the support 4 can be accessed via the second opening 5.
  • The second opening may have an axis A and the interchangeable support 4 may be slidable perpendicularly with respect to said axis A.
  • The first opening 3 can have an essentially rectangular form.
  • The form of the support 4 is configured to couple with the first drawer-like opening. Consequently, the support also has an essentially rectangular section, which is slightly smaller than opening 3.
  • The product 1 furthermore comprises a cap 6 or closure element, configured to close the second opening 5.
  • The perimeter form of the cap 6 corresponds exactly to the form of the second opening, at least in that part that couples with the second opening 5.
  • In the case shown, the second opening 5 and the part of the cap 6 which is coupled with the opening 5 are both circular in form.
  • Advantageously, the cap 6 is screwed into the second opening 5 by means of a thread and/or a bayonet coupling. Advantageously, the cap 6 may be configured to open and close with a 1/4 turn.
  • The upper part of the cap, which comprises a grip, facilitates the handling thereof.
  • For example, the cap 6 may feature a plurality of reliefs 40, which couple with suitable shapes 41 made on a surface 42 which defines the second opening 5.
  • The cap 6 is shown more clearly in Figures 3 and 4. Here, one can see that an applicator 7 for the make-up substance 60 is coupled with the cap 6.
  • The cap 6 is configured so that the applicator 7 is in contact with the make-up substance 60 present on the support 4, at least when the cap closes the second opening 5.
  • Advantageously, the applicator 7 is slidably supported by the cap, counter to a spring 8 which, when the cap 6 is inserted into the opening 5, pushes the applicator into contact with the make-up substance 60, applying light pressure.
  • The cap may comprise (see Fig.4) a skirt 6A, which engages with an essentially annular portion 23A of an intermediate element 23 to which the applicator 7 is fastened (for example by gluing); advantageously, the spring 8 is sandwiched between the cap 6 and the intermediate element 23, and is sized so as to push the applicator against the make-up substance 60 lightly.
  • To stabilise the support 4 in position, between the support 4 and the housing 2, guides 10, 11 may be envisaged, which guide the sliding motion of the support 4.
  • Furthermore, snap means 12, 13 may be envisaged between the support 4 and the housing to stabilise the support 4 or card when the said part is positioned inside the support 2.
  • As can be seen in Figure 1, the support 4 can comprise a portion 20 protruding from the housing 2, which can be grasped by the user in order to extract the support 4 from the housing.
  • The support 4 can also feature a recessed seat 29 within which the make-up substance 60 is housed.
  • The make-up substance may be housed directly within the recessed seat 29 in the support 4 or it may be housed in a godet (not shown), glued inside the recessed seat.
  • Figure 6 shows an exploded view of the various components of the make-up product.
  • Advantageously, the housing 2 may be formed of four parts 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, which are easily mouldable (by plastic injection-moulding) and mutually fastened with snap means, so that disassembly is essentially impossible during normal use.
  • Parts 2B and 2C can define the guide 11 for the support 4 and the first opening 3.
  • Parts 2A and 2D can form the housing casing, making it aesthetically attractive.
  • Furthermore, the part 2A can feature the forms 41 and define the second opening 5.
  • The support 4 can also be formed by a plurality of easily printable parts, more specifically by two parts 4A and 4B, which are mutually coupled with snap-fastening means.
  • Part 4B is simply a plate that forms the bottom of the support 4, while the part 4A is the part that defines the cavity 29 and the main form of the support 4.
  • By replacing the support 4 or cap 6 described, users can choose (at the time of purchase or later and according to their needs) both the type of make-up substance 60 and the type of applicator 7 to be assembled.
  • The product meets environmental sustainability needs by the fact that only part of the secondary packaging (i.e. the support 4) needs to be replaced, without having to throw away the entire system.
  • Product 1 meets the consumer's needs while also featuring an entire packaging system which is colour-customisable since the user does not necessarily have to replace the card (support 4) when the make-up substance is finished.
  • Compared to conventional packaging, a seller can sell not only the assembled packaging but also the individual components.
  • The make-up substance 60 is no longer integral with the entire packaging system, but rather can be separated.
  • The part used to take up the make-up substance, i.e. the applicator 7, can also be chosen according to the desired application type.
  • In particular, the applicator may be different in terms of various characteristics, featuring, for example, one or more of the following.
  • Material - by way of example, applicators may be made of soft bristles, sponge of various densities, or other materials;
  • Form - the applicator may have a circular, oval, or any other formed section and may have a stepped or bevelled section;
  • Size - while maintaining the same form, the applicator can vary in size but without necessarily covering all the surface area available (in plan view) or all the thickness.
  • The make-up product 1 offers a well-proportioned, ergonomic, and functional image.
  • As the make-up substance 60 is running out, the spring 8 inside the cap pushes the applicator down to take up all of the make-up substance, without wastage.
  • The packaging is characterised by a smooth design, without any sharp edges. It is comfortable to hold, does not cut, does not cause discomfort, and does not damage bags and/or pockets and adjacent objects.
  • As already mentioned, it is possible to change the card (or support 4) when the substance is finished or to change the make-up substance 60 inside.
  • It is possible to replace the card (support 4) and/or the cap 6 when the user wants a new colour.
  • It is possible to choose an applicator 7 based on the make-up substance on the card.
  • Finally, it is possible to sell packs, applicators, and the card with the make-up substance separately.
  • Various embodiments of the innovation have been described, but others may be conceived using the same innovative concept.
