Description

Container for cosmetic products comprising a hinged intermediate panel with closing means
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a container cartridge for cosmetic products, in particular for receiving cosmetic products in the form of blocks (or cells).
Background
Currently, there are various types of containers for receiving cosmetics, in particular color cosmetics. In the more specific field of boxlike containers comprising a base portion and a hinged lid, it is known to provide one or more receptacles in the base portion for placing therein at least one coloured compressed powder in the form of a coloured or colourless solid block or a waxy formulation. This relates in particular to eye shadows, face powders (colorants), blushes, face powders) or cosmetics for lip color cosmetics.
In some cases, these cartridges make it possible to contain several blocks of different colors or different shades of the same color, arranged in compartments provided for this purpose.
However, these so-called "pocket" cases have the advantage of being easy to transport, but quickly reach size limits in terms of the number of pieces that can be contained. Thus, there are often a number of different boxes for different types of products (eye shadow, face powder) and/or different types of colors/shades of colors, which boxes may quickly become complex and cumbersome to manage.
However, it is often the case that an individual uses such a box to apply color cosmetics in their home (and thus a first type of color cosmetics) before going to work in the morning, carries the box in their bag to go to work, may use the box to modify its makeup during the day, and wishes to use the box again at night without having to go home again, and may use another type of color cosmetics different from the first type. As indicated previously, the palette of colors or color hues is very small, typically 4 hues, and rarely exceeds 8, so that an individual cannot change the type of make-up to a great extent unless a certain number of boxes are carried around (with the aforementioned disadvantages) or have to go home again, which is impractical, sometimes even impossible. Thus, the person will typically feel the color/hue provided by the box that he or she carries with him or her. Thus, prior art cartridges are limited to their everyday use.
To address this problem, some cases propose to be able to remove and replace one or more cosmetic products without removing parts of the cartridge. For example, patents US 4421127 and US 4826014 may be mentioned, which describe solutions that make it possible to replace solid cosmetic pieces with a hinged intermediate panel arranged between the base portion and the lid of the box.
However, the systems for opening and closing the lids on the base parts of this type of box are not optimized, in particular because of the presence, shape and mobility (hinging) of the intermediate panel on the base part.
Moreover, these cases are still rather bulky, in particular in terms of manufacturing (in combination with hinges), and/or in terms of strength and/or "perceived quality". However, at present, even in the case where parts made of plastic material can be recycled, it is an increasingly important issue to reduce the amount of material used in manufacturing these parts. Therefore, manufacturers of packages for cosmetic products take action, in particular in reducing the thickness, which makes it possible to reduce the impact of the cartridge on the environment.
Object of the Invention
The present invention aims at least partly to address the limitations of the prior art mentioned previously.
In particular, it is an object of the present invention to propose a product that is very compact, versatile, environmentally friendly and easy to use.
To this end, the invention relates to a container for one or more cosmetic products in the form of one or more blocks, comprising at least:
-a base portion having a given thickness, a top surface, and a bottom surface, and comprising at least one internal receptacle defined to receive at least one cosmetic product,

The intermediate panel further comprises at least one hollow front portion forming a reservoir having a given depth and a bottom surface, and the base portion further comprises at least one opening passing completely through its thickness to receive the hollow front portion when the intermediate panel is in the first position.
The hollow front portion of the intermediate panel is the only one and the depth of the hollow front portion is such that, once the container is closed and the hollow front portion is inserted into the through opening of the base portion which is also the only one, the bottom surface of the hollow portion fits flush with the bottom surface of the base portion,
the through opening in the base portion is arranged away from the internal housing for the one or more cosmetic products, opposite the first pivot axis, and the hollow front portion of the intermediate panel is arranged away from the inner edge, opposite the second pivot axis,
the intermediate panel comprises at least one cut-out of material at a front portion thereof, the at least one cut-out of material forming a zone recessed towards the inside of the base portion, the base portion comprising at least one finger-supporting front zone contiguous with the recessed zone for receiving the recessed zone when the intermediate panel is in the closed use position, so as to pass from the closed use position to the tilted open position of the intermediate panel,
the finger-supporting region of the base portion has, where it adjoins the recessed region of the intermediate panel, a substantially circular contour resembling the tip of a user's finger,
the inner edge of the intermediate panel is divided into a plurality of receptacles, each receptacle corresponding to an individual cosmetic product, and the inner receptacle of the base portion comprises means defining a plurality of receiving zones corresponding to the receptacles,
the inner containment portion of the base portion is provided with ribs for positioning/locking the cosmetic product,
each receiving portion of the intermediate panel is delimited by an extending rib extending substantially between the second pivot axis and the hollow front portion,
the first pivot axis and the second pivot axis are coaxial,
the intermediate panel is provided with means for holding the intermediate panel in the closed position of use on the base portion,
the means for holding the middle panel on the base portion comprise two side hooks provided on the front edge of the middle panel, which cooperate with corresponding slots provided in the base portion to form a catch (clip).

Fig. 1 to 21 show a container 1 for one or more cosmetic products according to the invention. This container 1 or box is typically made of a single plastic material, preferably of biological origin, and has a rectangular parallelepiped shape, for example in the form that can be held with one hand, with a total thickness E (see in particular figures 6 and 7) from a few millimetres to about 1 cm. The container allows for the transport of cosmetic product 100, such as, but not limited to, an eye shadow, face powder, or lipstick.
The container includes a cover 10, a mirror holding frame 20, a mirror 30 captured between the cover 10 and the mirror holding frame 20, a base portion 40, and an intermediate panel 50.
The base portion 40 and the lid 10 are hinged about a first pivot 60 so that the lid 10 can be alternately rotated from a first closed position, illustrated in fig. 1, to an open use position, illustrated in fig. 2.
Likewise, the intermediate panel 50 and the base portion 40 are hinged about a second pivot 70, so that the intermediate panel 50 can be rotated from the first lowered use position illustrated in fig. 2 to 5 to the second tilted open position illustrated in fig. 3 and 4.
Advantageously, the pivots 60 and 70 are coaxial and each is provided with a pin (not shown) acting as a rotation axis.
As can be seen in particular in fig. 16 to 19, the intermediate panel 50 comprises an inner edge 51 for receiving a cosmetic product 100, for example solid, each in the form of a block, and a hollow front portion 52 forming a reservoir for one or more pens/brushes for applying a color cosmetic product.
More precisely, the inner edge 51 is divided into a plurality (4 in the embodiment shown) of receptacles 53, each receptacle corresponding to a block 100 (see also fig. 4), each portion 53 being delimited by a lateral rib 54, each lateral rib extending continuously between the second pivot 70 and the hollow front portion 52 so as to form the same number of frames.
As can be seen in particular in fig. 3 and 11 to 15, the base portion 40 comprises, in itself, a given thickness Es forming an internal housing 43 for receiving the cosmetic mass 100, a bottom surface 41, and a top surface 42. More precisely, the internal housing 43 comprises short ribs 44 for positioning/locking the cosmetic mass 100, which cooperate with the frame formed by the ribs 54 of the intermediate panel 50 (see fig. 4). Thus, in the closed use position of the intermediate panel 50 on the base portion 40 (fig. 5), the cosmetic mass 100 (see fig. 4) placed between the ribs 44 is firstly captured by the ribs 44 and the front and rear edges of the inner receptacle 43, and secondly by the ribs 54 of the intermediate panel 50. Thus, the block 100 remains in place at all times when the container 1 is transported with the lid 10 closed and when the container is used with the lid 10 open. These blocks 100 can also be very easily removed from the base portion 40 by moving the intermediate panel 50 from the first closed use position (fig. 1) to the second tilted open position (fig. 2 and 3).
Advantageously, the base portion 40 further comprises a through opening 45 for receiving the entire hollow front portion 52 of the intermediate panel 50 when it is in the lowered closed position (fig. 2 and 5).
The through opening 45 of the base portion 40 is remote from the inner receptacle 43 of the cosmetic product with respect to the pivot axes 60 and 70. Likewise, the hollow front portion 52 of the middle panel 50 is disposed opposite the pivot axes 60 and 70.
More precisely, the depth Ep of the hollow front portion 52 is such that, once the capsule 1 is closed and the hollow front portion 52 is inserted in the through opening 45 of the base portion 40, the bottom surface 55 of the hollow portion 52 fits flush with the bottom surface 41 of the base portion 40 (visible in particular in fig. 6, 7 and 9).
Furthermore, the intermediate panel 50 comprises, in the front portion, two material cuts forming a zone 56 recessed towards the inside of the base portion 40, which base portion comprises two front side support zones 46, which respectively adjoin the recessed zone 56 to receive the recessed zone when the intermediate panel is in the closed position of use.
Advantageously, each support region 46 of the base portion 40 has a generally circular contour, similar to the tip of a user's finger, where it abuts the recessed region 56 of the middle panel 50.
This solution has various advantages, which are particularly advantageous compared to the prior art.
This is because it makes it possible to house the cosmetic pencil/brush in the very small space (in particular the thickness) occupied by the hollow front portion 52 without adding any material or additional attachments. The container is therefore both light and compact, while providing sufficient capacity and very simple handling both in its daily use and in the replacement of cosmetic sticks.
Moreover, this refillable cartridge 1 has the advantage that at least some of the blocks 100 can be removed by lifting the intermediate panel 50, by making the hollow front portion 52 housed completely in the through opening 45 of the base portion 40, while fitting flush with the bottom surface 41 of this base portion, so that the person using the container 1 can lift it into its tilted second position (fig. 2 and 3) in a very simple, ergonomic and intuitive way, by pushing the intermediate panel 50 from below with little force, for example with two of their index fingers. The finger rest areas 46 also facilitate the change from the closed use position of the intermediate panel 50 to the tilted open position by creating a lever effect first with the thumb (the thumb applying pressure to one or more finger rest areas) and second with the index finger (the index finger pushing the bottom of the hollow front portion 52 from above).
The ribs 44 of the base portion 40 are positioned such that the cosmetic bin 100 is held in place even when the middle panel 50 is in the tilted open position. It is therefore easier to exchange the compartments 100 and close the middle panel 50 again without locking the compartments down.
Finally, the fact that the bottom surface 55 of the hollow portion 52 fits flush with the bottom surface 41 of the base portion 40 makes it possible to produce a truly flat container bottom while maximizing the use of the through openings 45.
The container 1 is also provided with means for holding the intermediate panel 50 in the closed position of use on the base portion 40. More precisely, as can be seen in figures 14 and 18, and in particular in the detail views of figures 15 and 19, these means are constituted by two side hooks 58 provided on the front edge of the panel 50, which cooperate with slots 48 provided on the front rim of the base portion 40 so as to form detents for fixing by pressure.
The container 1 further comprises means 90 for holding the closed lid 10 on the base portion 40. As can be seen in fig. 2 to 4 and 17 to 18, these means 90 comprise two separate parts, or more precisely a first part 91 on the front of the hollow front portion 52, carried only by the intermediate panel 50, and a second part 95 carried by the mirror-holding frame 20. The first part 91 comprises two resilient lugs 92 arranged at the front edge of the hollow front portion 52, a central button 93 received in the opening 47 of the base portion 40, and a hook 94 cooperating with a receiver 96 in the second part 95.
It must be understood that the detailed description of the invention, given for the purposes of illustration only, in no way constitutes a limitation, technical equivalents also being included in the field of the invention.
Thus, the hollow front portion 52 may be a plurality of portions, each portion receiving, for example, a small pen and cooperating with a through opening provided in the thickness of the base portion 40. It is therefore conceivable that two hollow portions for two different types of brush are completely inserted into two separate through openings, for example separated by a fraction of material.
The number of cosmetic pieces 100 and therefore the number of receptacles 53 may be less or greater than four as the subject of the figures of the present application.
The block 100 may also be in the form of a waxy formulation, colored or colorless.
