- Said second machining step consists of actual machining, by milling.
- the configuration of the machining tool 16 is this time adjusted so as to remove the first locations 112 of excess thickness which had been left on the blank 110 during the first machining step.
- the configuration of the machining tool 16 is also adjusted so as to bring the second under-thickness locations 114 and the third under-thickness locations 116 to the level of the reference surface.
- the second machining step leaves a residual layer of resin 122 which fills said second under-thickness locations 114 and said third under-thickness placements 116.
- the blank 110 now has a surface overall uniform, with certain zones 134, 136 which are covered with resin. These areas 134, 136 may be intended to come into contact with other parts, such as for example seal bearing areas 134 of the final watch component. These zones can also be intended to become decoration zones 136 of the final watch component. In the case of decoration zones 136, the thickness of the resin has an influence on the opacity of the decoration.
- the colored additives possibly added previously to the resin 122 also contribute to the decorative effect.
- the part from the second machining step is a third intermediate part 140, illustrated in Figures 11 and 12.

- the clamping means 80, 82, 84 comprise clamping screws 84 which cooperate with metal inserts 80, 82.
- the second machining support 30 is made of a material which does not risk altering the fourth intermediate part 150 at the time of tightening, in particular in a plastic which can be, for example, the plastic material marketed under the name Delrain ®.
- the second machining support 30 is fixed to the plate 18 (FIG. 3) by means of the centering imprint 2 (see FIG. 4), by means of screws, for example two M8 type screws (not shown) which cooperate with tapped holes 72 of a base 70 of said third machining support 30 and with the fixing holes 4 present on the plate 18 ( Figure 4).
- FIG. 15 shows the fourth intermediate part 150 installed on the second machining support 30. It has a lateral face 152 formed by trimming during the third machining step. It has a first end face (not visible in FIG. 13) formed by milling during the second machining step and oriented towards the bottom of the longitudinal opening 38 of the second machining support 30. It finally has a second end face 154, opposite the first end face, and exposed to the machining tool 16 (FIG. 3).
- the fourth intermediate part 150 is installed on the second machining support
- a fourth machining step is then carried out on the fourth inter part
- medial 150 consisting of milling its second end face 154, which will become the underside of the final watch component.
- the fourth intermediate part 150 now constitutes a fifth intermediate part 160, which is installed on the third machining support 40 to be subjected to a fifth machining step, as illustrated in Figure 16.
- Said third machining support 40 is fixed to the plate 18 of the machine tool 10 by means of frame elements 42, 44 ( Figure 4).
- the positioning of the fifth intermediate part 160 on the third machining support 40 is achieved by the presence, on said third machining support 40, of a counterform (not visible in the figures) of the lateral face of said fifth intermediate part 160 and by actuation of a central screw which makes it possible to separate said counterform thanks to the elasticity of the material constituting the third support machining 40, namely aluminum in the example illustrated.
- the fifth machining step consists of carrying out finishes on the fifth intermediate part 160, so as to obtain a final timepiece component 170.
- the finishes consist in making decorations as well as cavities and other reliefs intended for the cooperation of said horological component 170 with other horological components at the time of their final assembly to form a watch.

- the cavity 250 is then closed with the upper element 264, as illustrated in FIG. 22.
- the upper element 268 is provided with an air discharge hole 280 during the pressing operation, the diameter of which is chosen so that the resin does not escape together with the air.
- the meeting of the imprint portions 272, 274, 276, 278 constitutes a complete imprint (not visible in the figures) having the shape and the final dimensions of the timepiece component that it is desired to obtain.
- a stiffening insert (not shown in the figures) can be incorporated in the cavity 250 of the mold 260, so as to increase the resistance and the tightness of the final watch component obtained by molding.
- the stiffening insert can be metallic, composite, or made of any other material suitable for the person skilled in the art.
- the mixture 240 contained in the complete impression is then subjected to the pressing operation, during which it is compressed in the closed mold (FIG. 22) which is pressed, for example in a hydraulic press, not illustrated. to the figures.
- the mixture 240 is subjected to a pressure which can range from a few kilograms per square centimeter up to several hundred kilograms per square centimeter. Pressing has the effect of increasing the cohesion between the constituents of the mixture 240, namely the crumbs 220 of the ground material, the resin and any additives.
- the temperature setting operation which has the effect of polymerizing the resin. It is carried out by means of heating resistors (not shown in the figures), which are present in through holes 282 of the lower element 262 of the mold 260 ( Figure 22).
- the temperature reached during the heating operation, as well as its duration depend on the resin used, and are similar to the temperature and the duration indicated for the embodiment of the first variant of the process.
- the method according to the second variant comprises an optional step of washing the crumbs, not illustrated in the figures, which follows the step of grinding into crumbs of the initial part 200, and which precedes the processing step. Washing can be carried out, for example, by spraying a washing product or by soaking the crumbs in a washing bath.
- the washing step makes it possible to remove from the ground material the residues which would be harmful to the molding, and which can come, for example, from fats which have come into contact with the crumbs during the grinding.
- the detergent is chosen for its ability to dissolve grease, and its ability to evaporate. Acetone is preferred.
- the method according to the second variant comprises an optional step of sieving the crumbs, not illustrated in the figures, which follows the step of grinding into crumbs of the piece of carbon-carbon composite, and which precedes the treatment step.
- the sieving can be carried out, for example, using a machine of the AS 200 BASIC SCREENER type.
- the sieving step has the effect of removing crumbs larger than 2 millimeters which could be present in the ground material as well as impurities which could possibly be present in the initial part 200 in the case where it is of a used part.
- the final watch component 270 obtained by the second
- a finishing step can be optionally provided. It can be manual if it it involves removing resin residues or polishing or deburring the final watch component. It can implement machining, similar to that of the fifth step of the first embodiment of the first variant of the method, if it is a question of making decorations as well as cavities and other reliefs intended for the cooperation of said component watchmaker 170 with other watchmaking components at the time of their final assembly to form a watch.
- the method according to the second variant which has been illustrated in FIGS. 18 to 23, comprises the following steps:
