Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging element according to the preamble of claim 1.
- wing packaging Appropriate packaging elements, such as those shown in US2013/043298 , JP 3 178252 U or JP 2016 064860 A are known are designed as so-called wing packaging. Essentially, the idea is based on a container to be packaged being placed on a base section. Two wing sections are attached to opposite sides of the base section and can be folded over relative to the base section. A generally flexible material, such as a foil, is attached to the wings and is stretched over the packaged goods. This is done in that, on the one hand, the wing sections are folded over towards the rear of the base section. The film expands and thus tightens the packaged goods on the base section.
- the base section is typically made of cardboard.
- the object of the present invention is to create a packaging element in which a film and elastic paper can be dispensed with and objects of different thicknesses can also be fixed.
- the packaging element according to the invention has a blank made from a cardboard material, in particular corrugated cardboard.
- the blank comprises a base section with a support area for supporting a packaged item and at least two first wing sections which are arranged on opposite first sides of the base section and can be folded over relative to the base section along first fold lines.
- the packaging element also includes a fixing element which is fastened to the two wing sections in a fastening area. In this way, the fixing element can hold an item to be packaged on the base section when the two first wing sections are folded over in the direction of the underside of the base section.
- the fixing element is designed as a surface element made of a non-elastic or non-stretchable material, in particular a paper or cardboard material.
- the base section now comprises, on at least one of the first sides, a recess that is set back behind the respective first fold line. When folding over, this setback creates a space into which the fixing element can escape. In this way it is possible to make the whole packaging out of cardboard or paper without having to use elastic paper.
- the length of the fixing element is matched to the dimensions of the packaged goods to be packaged.
- the undersides of the wing sections come to rest on the underside of the base section when they are folded over, ie touch it.
- the length of the fixing element should be dimensioned accordingly. If the material of the wing sections or the base section - as is the case with corrugated cardboard or the like - has a certain compressibility, the wing section or the base section can be slightly compressed when folded over and thus compensate for any excess dimensions of the packaged goods within certain limits.
- the recess in the blank is formed by a punched-out surface section that can be folded over relative to the base section or an adjacent first joint section. This happens when this surface section is folded over when the fixing element is tightened.
- This surface section which is attached to the packaging element with one side and, after being folded over, comes to rest on the back of the base section between this and the corresponding first wing section, also serves as additional springing or compression zone, so that the flexibility described above can be further improved by this measure.
- the recess preferably has a width that corresponds at least to the width of the fixing element measured in the direction of the first fold lines. In this way, the recess during the clamping process can accommodate the fixing element over its entire transverse extent.
- the choice of material for the fixing element always depends on the specific application, ie the size and weight of the packaged goods.
- the material of the fixing element can preferably be paper, but other materials, in particular those that can be recycled, can also be used.
- grammages of 100 to 500 g/m 2 preferably 250 to 350 g/m 2
- Other grammages are of course also conceivable, especially when smaller or lighter goods are to be packaged. For this reason, grammages of less than 100 g/m 2 can also be used in individual cases.
- the base section preferably has opposite second sides that differ from the opposite first sides, on which further additional functions of the packaging element can be implemented.
- At least one protruding first spacer projection can be arranged on one or both of the opposite second sides.
- Such a Spacer projection primarily serves to keep a predefined distance between the packaging element, or more precisely the packaged goods, and the inner wall of the outer packaging—in which the packaging element is housed, for example, for shipping.
- a second wing section that can be folded over along a second fold line is arranged on one or both opposite second sides of the base section.
- a respective foldable second wing section is preferably arranged on each of the second sides.
- These second wing sections are preferably coupled to the first wing sections and serve on the one hand to fix the second wing sections after folding and on the other hand they can serve as a further spacer to the upper side of an outer packaging.
- they when they are coupled to the first wing sections, they maintain the tension of the fixing element by being able to support themselves on the side walls of an outer packaging when they are erected in the direction of the upper side of the base section.
- first wing sections and the second wing sections are connected to one another via corner connection sections.
- the corner connecting sections are preferably connected to the first wing sections by third fold lines and to the second wing sections by fourth fold lines.
- further spacer projections can be provided. Provision is preferably made for protruding second spacer projections to be arranged on one or both of the first sides of the base section. These are provided so that the base section cannot slide back and forth in the outer packaging, even in the direction of the first pages.
- protruding third spacer projections can also be arranged on one or both of the second wing sections. These can be separated from the second spacer projections, but it can also be provided that at least one second spacer projection and a third spacer projection are connected to one another via a fold line, in particular one of the second fold lines.
- a double-layer spacer projection is thereby formed from a second spacer projection and a third spacer projection. In this way, it is achieved in particular that it does not buckle even when force is applied, in particular when the packaged goods are relatively heavy.
- the invention also relates to a packaging arrangement which has a packaging element as described above and a packaged item which is placed on the support area of the Base section rests.
- the fixing element is stretched around the packaged goods in that the first wing sections are folded over towards the underside of the base section facing away from the support area. In this case, the fixing element is guided through an area which is set back at least in relation to a first folding line.
- the packaging arrangement according to the invention preferably also has an outer packaging, into which the packaging element and the packaged goods fixed thereon are inserted.
- FIG 1 The illustration chosen shows an exemplary embodiment of a packaging element 1 according to the invention.
- the wing sections 13 and 14 and the corner connection sections 1114, 1113, 1214, 1213 are in principle not required to implement the basic idea of the invention.
- the spacer projections 114b, 111a, 114, 114a, 112a, 112b, 113a, 113 are not absolutely necessary in order to realize the basic idea of the invention.
- the packaging element 1 comprises a base section 10, which comprises a support area 100, on which a packaged item 2 (cf Figures 2 - 5 ) can be placed.
- First wing sections 11 and 12 are arranged on two opposite (first) sides of the base section 10 and are connected to the base section 10 via fold lines 1011 and 1012 and can be folded over in relation thereto.
- fold lines are mentioned above or in the following description, these can be realized in different ways. There may be folds, creases, scores, perforations, other material weaknesses or merely markings along these lines that indicate or facilitate that folding can be performed along these lines.
- wing sections 11 and 12 On the wing sections 11 and 12, in particular adjacent to their in figure 1 On the outside shown, fastening areas 1115 and 1215 are provided, on which a fixing element 15 is connected to the wing sections 11 and 12, preferably glued.
- the fixing element 15 is made of paper, which is preferably kraft paper, or some other material that is not elastic or stretchable.
- the wing sections 11 and 12 can be folded over relative to the base section 10 in such a way that their outer edges migrate in the direction of the underside of the base section 10 .
- the surface section 16 is connected to the base section 10 along the line 1016 connected, which represents a fold line in this respect. Opposite the wing section 11, the surface section 16 is punched along the line 1116. Likewise, lines 16a and 16b form such punches opposite their respective adjacent portions. In this way, the surface section 16 can also be folded over onto the rear side of the base section 10 when the wing section 11 is folded over. Similar considerations can be made for the surface section 17 in relation to the line 1217 or the fold line 1017 and the lines 17a and 17b. Corresponding punchings are also available here.
- recesses are formed which are set back along the lines 1016 and 1017 in relation to the respective folding edges 1011 and 1012, respectively, when the corresponding surface sections 16 and 17, respectively, are either punched out or folded over.
- the surface section 16 or 17 can either remain attached to the base section 10 or to the respective wing section 11 .
- the length of the fixing element 15 between the fastening areas 1115 and 1215 is to be adapted within certain limits to the packaged goods 2 to be packaged.
- Spacer projections which have already been indicated above, are preferably also located on the base section. After folding over the wing sections, the spacer projections 111a, 111b or the spacer projections 112a and 112b on the side of the first wing sections 11 and 12 or the projections 113 and 114 on the other sides of the base section ultimately define the width and depth of the package. Therefore, when choosing a suitable outer packaging, one must be selected whose internal dimensions at least correspond to the outline 4 defined by the spacer projections mentioned. In this way, slipping of the packaging element according to the invention within an outer packaging can be avoided.
- these projections also provide a buffer zone that ensures that the packaged goods 2 are not damaged if a package falls down.
- the other sides of the base section 10 that are not directly involved in tensioning the fixing element 5 can also have certain properties. so can further wing sections 13 and 14 can also be arranged on these sides, which can be folded over relative to the base section 10 via corresponding fold lines 1013 and 1014, respectively.
- these second wing sections 13 and 14 are connected to the first wing sections 11 and 12 via corner connection sections 1113, 1114, 1213 and 1214, respectively.
- These corner connecting sections are connected to the respective wing sections 11, 12, 13, 14 via fold lines 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b, 13a, 13b, 14a, 14b.
- corresponding spacer projections 113 or 114 are present, there are corresponding recesses 13c or 14c in the adjoining wing sections 13 or 14. If the wing sections 13 or 14 are present, the spacer projections 111a, 111b, 112a, 112b can also be continued on these wing sections and then form the projections 113a and 113b or 114a, 114b there. In this way, when the wing sections 13 and 14 are folded over, these spacer projections are also continued in the vertical direction and are not purely surface elements.
- openings 1113a, 1114a, 1213a, 1214a such as punching or the like in the material blank.
- FIG 3 a sectional view substantially corresponding to a section along the line AA of FIG figures 1 and 2 is equivalent to.
- the fixing element 15 runs around the packaged goods 2 and runs down to the underside of the base section 10 and is fastened to the wing sections 11 and 12 folded over onto the underside.
- the surface elements 16, 17 lie between the respective wing section 11 or 12 and the underside of the base section 10.
- figure 4 shows a top view, in which the wing sections 13 and 14 described in more detail above are also shown. In the example shown, unlike the wing sections 11 and 12 , these are folded over toward the top of the base section 10 . More precisely this is in the figure 5 1, which is essentially a sectional view along line BB of FIG figure 4 acts, the arrangement of the figure 4 is housed in an outer packaging 3.
- a packaging element 1 and a packaging arrangement are created with the help of which completely recyclable packaging can be produced without the time-consuming separation of individual components.
Description
The invention relates to a packaging element according to the preamble of
From an environmental point of view, especially when separating waste, a combination of plastic (foil) and cardboard material (base section) is disadvantageous because these have to be separated from one another.
In
Due to these deficiencies in the prior art, the object of the present invention is to create a packaging element in which a film and elastic paper can be dispensed with and objects of different thicknesses can also be fixed.
This object is achieved by a packaging element having the features of
The packaging element according to the invention has a blank made from a cardboard material, in particular corrugated cardboard. The blank comprises a base section with a support area for supporting a packaged item and at least two first wing sections which are arranged on opposite first sides of the base section and can be folded over relative to the base section along first fold lines. The packaging element also includes a fixing element which is fastened to the two wing sections in a fastening area. In this way, the fixing element can hold an item to be packaged on the base section when the two first wing sections are folded over in the direction of the underside of the base section. According to the invention, the fixing element is designed as a surface element made of a non-elastic or non-stretchable material, in particular a paper or cardboard material. When the wing sections are folded over, it is not or hardly ever stretched, but remains tension-resistant. The base section now comprises, on at least one of the first sides, a recess that is set back behind the respective first fold line. When folding over, this setback creates a space into which the fixing element can escape. In this way it is possible to make the whole packaging out of cardboard or paper without having to use elastic paper.
In principle, it is advantageous if the length of the fixing element is matched to the dimensions of the packaged goods to be packaged. However, due to the shape of the packaging, there is some flexibility here. It is advantageous if the undersides of the wing sections come to rest on the underside of the base section when they are folded over, ie touch it. The length of the fixing element should be dimensioned accordingly. If the material of the wing sections or the base section - as is the case with corrugated cardboard or the like - has a certain compressibility, the wing section or the base section can be slightly compressed when folded over and thus compensate for any excess dimensions of the packaged goods within certain limits. According to the invention, it is provided that the recess in the blank is formed by a punched-out surface section that can be folded over relative to the base section or an adjacent first joint section. This happens when this surface section is folded over when the fixing element is tightened. This surface section, which is attached to the packaging element with one side and, after being folded over, comes to rest on the back of the base section between this and the corresponding first wing section, also serves as additional springing or compression zone, so that the flexibility described above can be further improved by this measure.
The recess preferably has a width that corresponds at least to the width of the fixing element measured in the direction of the first fold lines. In this way, the recess during the clamping process can accommodate the fixing element over its entire transverse extent.
Basically, the choice of material for the fixing element always depends on the specific application, ie the size and weight of the packaged goods. The material of the fixing element can preferably be paper, but other materials, in particular those that can be recycled, can also be used. In the case of paper, for example, grammages of 100 to 500 g/m 2 , preferably 250 to 350 g/m 2 , can be provided. Other grammages are of course also conceivable, especially when smaller or lighter goods are to be packaged. For this reason, grammages of less than 100 g/m 2 can also be used in individual cases.
The base section preferably has opposite second sides that differ from the opposite first sides, on which further additional functions of the packaging element can be implemented.
For example, at least one protruding first spacer projection can be arranged on one or both of the opposite second sides. Such a Spacer projection primarily serves to keep a predefined distance between the packaging element, or more precisely the packaged goods, and the inner wall of the outer packaging—in which the packaging element is housed, for example, for shipping.
It can further be provided that a second wing section that can be folded over along a second fold line is arranged on one or both opposite second sides of the base section. A respective foldable second wing section is preferably arranged on each of the second sides. These second wing sections are preferably coupled to the first wing sections and serve on the one hand to fix the second wing sections after folding and on the other hand they can serve as a further spacer to the upper side of an outer packaging. In addition, when they are coupled to the first wing sections, they maintain the tension of the fixing element by being able to support themselves on the side walls of an outer packaging when they are erected in the direction of the upper side of the base section.
It is preferably provided that the first wing sections and the second wing sections are connected to one another via corner connection sections. The corner connecting sections are preferably connected to the first wing sections by third fold lines and to the second wing sections by fourth fold lines. By this coupling, by folding the second wing sections achieves an additional fixation of the first wing sections.
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, further spacer projections can be provided. Provision is preferably made for protruding second spacer projections to be arranged on one or both of the first sides of the base section. These are provided so that the base section cannot slide back and forth in the outer packaging, even in the direction of the first pages.
In addition or as a supplement, protruding third spacer projections can also be arranged on one or both of the second wing sections. These can be separated from the second spacer projections, but it can also be provided that at least one second spacer projection and a third spacer projection are connected to one another via a fold line, in particular one of the second fold lines. In this embodiment, a double-layer spacer projection is thereby formed from a second spacer projection and a third spacer projection. In this way, it is achieved in particular that it does not buckle even when force is applied, in particular when the packaged goods are relatively heavy.
The invention also relates to a packaging arrangement which has a packaging element as described above and a packaged item which is placed on the support area of the Base section rests. The fixing element is stretched around the packaged goods in that the first wing sections are folded over towards the underside of the base section facing away from the support area. In this case, the fixing element is guided through an area which is set back at least in relation to a first folding line. The packaging arrangement according to the invention preferably also has an outer packaging, into which the packaging element and the packaged goods fixed thereon are inserted.

Basically, as far as fold lines are mentioned above or in the following description, these can be realized in different ways. There may be folds, creases, scores, perforations, other material weaknesses or merely markings along these lines that indicate or facilitate that folding can be performed along these lines.

The length of the fixing
In addition, these projections also provide a buffer zone that ensures that the packaged

If
