    an at least essentially rectangular base panel (12, 146), which defines a base plane B and has at least two base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140), which extend in the longitudinal direction L without interruption over the entire length of the container (100, 132), peripheral elements which are arranged integrally on the base panel (12, 146) project from peripheral base folding lines (22, 23, 42) and form erected longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148) and end-side walls (102),
    at least one crosspiece (62, 64, 66, 110) which runs in each case between two base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140), at least more or less parallel to the longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148), is erected from the base panel (12, 146) and has crosspiece side walls (68), which project from the base panel (12, 146), and a sheet-like crosspiece spine (70), which is arranged between the crosspiece side walls (68), defines a holder plane H, running at least essentially parallel to the base plane B and located above the base plane B, and extends in the longitudinal direction L at least approximately over the entire length of the container (100, 132) without interruption,
    longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) which are arranged integrally on the longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148), project from peripheral longitudinal folding lines (26, 27) in the direction of the longitudinal centre of the container (100, 132), extend in the longitudinal direction L without interruption at least more or less over the entire length of the container (100, 132) and define a cover plane D, running essentially parallel to the base plane B and located above the base plane B and preferably also above the holder plane H,
    holder elements (72), which are arranged in the holder plane H and project from the at least one crosspiece (62, 64, 66, 110) in the direction of the longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148) or of the longitudinal centre of the container (100, 132), wherein the crosspiece side walls (68) have apertures (112) and the holder elements (72) are formed from the cut-out material from these apertures (112),
    wherein the base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140) have end-side wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40), which form the end-side walls (102) and transverse cover portions (44, 46, 48, 50), which are arranged integrally on the end-side walls (102), wherein the transverse cover portions (44, 46, 48, 50) project from peripheral transverse folding lines (52) in the direction of the transverse centre of the container (100, 132), run essentially parallel to the base plane B and are located above the base plane B and the holder plane H,
    characterized in that the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) of one base-panel portion butt against the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) of an adjacent base-panel portion in a region of overlap (104) and are fixed thereto in the region of overlap (104), wherein the regions of overlap (104) are located at least essentially in the base plane B and/or in the end-side walls (102).
  2. Container (100, 132) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140) have end regions (90) which are widened at the ends.
  3. Container (100, 132) according to Claim 2, characterized in that the widened end regions (90) of one base-panel portion (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140) butt against the widened end regions (90) of an adjacent base-panel portion (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140) in a region of overlap and are fixed thereto in the region of overlap (104).
  4. Container (100, 132) according to Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) and, if present, the widened end regions (90) are connected to one another by adhesive bonding at adhesive-bonding locations in the region of overlap (104).
  5. Container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) and, if present, the widened end regions (90) are compressed in the region of overlap (104).
  6. Container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the holder elements (72) do not overlap with one another.
  7. Container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized by additional retaining tongues (82), which project from a crosspiece spine (70) in the direction of one of the longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148) and, there, butt against the longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) in a region of overlap (116).
  8. Container (100, 132) according to Claim 7, characterized in that the retaining tongues (82) are connected to the respective longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) by adhesive bonding at adhesive-bonding locations in the region of overlap (116), wherein the base panel (12, 146) has through-passages particularly preferably beneath the adhesive-bonding locations.
  9. Container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the holder elements (72) and/or the longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) and/or the transverse cover strips (44, 46, 48, 50) have folding lines (30, 54, 74) which define clamping portions (32, 56, 76).
  10. Container (100) according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) overlap with the adjacent transverse cover portions (44, 50) in a respective corner region (106) of the container (100).
  11. Container (100) according to Claim 10, characterized in that the longitudinal cover strips (28, 29) are connected to the respective transverse cover portions (44, 50) by adhesive bonding at adhesive-bonding locations in the corner region (106), wherein the base panel (12) has through-passages (94) particularly preferably beneath the adhesive-bonding locations.
  12. Container (132) according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the corners of the container (132) are bevelled.
  13. Container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 12, comprising a blank (10, 130) made of cardboard or paper board, in particular of corrugated cardboard, plastic film, plastic sheet, aluminium foil, starch film or wood veneer.
  14. Container (100, 132) according to Claim 13, consisting of corrugated cardboard, characterized in that the longitudinal direction L of the container (100, 132) corresponds to the longitudinal direction of the corrugations of the corrugated cardboard.
  15. Blank (10, 130) for a container (100, 132) according to one of Claims 1 to 14, wherein the blank (10, 130) is of planar design, has a longitudinal direction L and a transverse direction Q and comprises:
    an at least essentially rectangular base panel (12, 146), which defines a base plane B and has at least two base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140), which extend in the longitudinal direction L without interruption over the entire length of the container (100, 132),
    peripheral elements which are arranged integrally on the base panel (12, 146), project from peripheral base folding lines (22, 23, 42) and form erected longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148) and end-side walls (102),
    at least one crosspiece (62, 64, 66, 110) which runs in each case between two base-panel portions (14, 16, 18, 20, 134, 136, 138, 140), at least more or less parallel to the longitudinal-side walls (24, 25, 148), can be erected from the base panel (12, 146) and, in the erected state, is provided with crosspiece side walls (68), which project from the base panel (12, 146), and a sheet-like crosspiece spine (70), which is arranged between the crosspiece side walls (68), defines a holder plane H, running at least essentially parallel to the base plane B and located above the base plane B, and extends in the longitudinal direction L at least more or less over the entire length of the container (100, 132) without interruption,

    characterized in that the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) of one base-panel portion butt against the wall extensions (34, 36, 38, 40) of an adjacent base-panel portion in a region of overlap (104) and are fixed thereto in the region of overlap (104), wherein, in the erected state, the regions of overlap (104) are located at least essentially in the base plane B and/or in the end-side walls (102).
