Description

The invention relates to a sliding window device comprising a rectangular window frame for installation in a window opening according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Very large window formats that can be opened can only be designed as sliding windows. In order to achieve a virtually seamless transition between living space and nature, there is often a desire for frameless glazing, ie glazing in which the frames are not visibly arranged. For this purpose, frame profiles are completely fitted into the floor, ceiling and walls, which accommodate the window elements. Aluminum profiles are regularly used, which absorb the considerable loads of the window elements. In the EP 3 095 946 A1 describes a sliding window device in which the frames are formed from a circumferential plastic profile, in which static elements are introduced on the bottom side, which absorb the loads acting on the window elements via force transmission supports. In the bottom profile part, rollers are also arranged aligned in a straight line, on which the sliding window element rests and via which this window element can be displaced.

This previously known sliding window device is characterized by a subtle, minimalist design in which the window panes seem to float frameless above the floor. However, a closer look at the bottom profile reveals the channel, which is not covered by the sliding window element, and in which the rollers on which the window element is sliding are mounted. This channel with the rollers arranged in it disturbs the overall impression of the otherwise very unobtrusive sliding window device.

Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. This is where the invention aims to remedy the situation. The object of the invention is to provide a sliding window device of the aforesaid type in which no channel is visible when the sliding window element is in the closed position. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a sliding window device solved with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

The invention provides a sliding window assembly in which no channel is visible when the sliding window member is in the closed position. Because a horizontal groove is arranged in the vertical sections of the peripheral pane frame on at least one side of the glass pane as a continuation of the upper edge of the base-side framing profile, into which a cover plate arranged on the base-side frame part of the window frame, partially covering this base-side frame part, protrudes, which at the same time the upper edge of the floor-side frame profile on this side of the glass pane is partially covered, the floor is continued up to the glass pane so that the pane appears to float above the ground. The channel with the rollers located in it for the displaceable mounting of the window element as well as largely the edging profile on the bottom of this window element are not visible as a result.

The term “pane frame” is to be understood as meaning a rectangular frame profile that encloses the glass pane of a window element all the way round. The term "frame profile" refers to one of the four sub-profiles of this frame profile enclosing the glass pane. Each of the four partial profiles is part of one of the four sides of the rectangular window element.

Die seitlichen Einfassprofile der Scheibeneinfassung scheinen hierdurch über dem Boden zu "schweben".In a further development of the invention, a horizontal groove is arranged in the vertical sections of the surrounding pane frame on both sides of the glass pane as a continuation of the upper edge, i.e. the upper side of the bottom edge profile facing the glass pane, into which on each side of the glass pane one on the bottom frame part of the Window frame arranged, this floor-side frame part partially concealing cover plate protrudes, which at the same time partially covers the upper edge of the floor-side edging profile on the respective side of the glass pane. As a result, the second receptacle, which is provided with rollers, and also largely the edging profile on the bottom side of the window element are not visible. the The lateral edging profiles of the pane surround appear to "float" above the ground.

In an embodiment of the invention, a horizontal groove is arranged in the vertical sections of the circumferential profile frame on at least one side, preferably on both sides of the glass pane as a continuation of the lower edge, i.e. the underside of the ceiling-side frame profile facing the glass pane, into which groove on the respective side of the Glass pane protrudes into a cover plate covering the ceiling-side frame part in some areas, which at the same time partially covers the lower edge of the ceiling-side frame profile on this side of the glass pane. As a result, the ceiling is also optically routed to the glass pane. The guide rail on the ceiling and, to a large extent, the frame profile on the ceiling are therefore not visible.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the peripheral pane edging comprises at least one corner connector, preferably two corner connectors, which connect the base-side framing profile to a lateral framing profile, with the groove arranged in continuation of the upper edge of the base-side framing profile on at least one side of the glass pane being arranged in the corner connectors. In an advantageous embodiment, the corner connectors have two limbs positioned essentially at right angles to one another, with one limb of the corner connector being inserted into a floor-side edging profile or a ceiling-side edging profile and the other limb being partially covered by a lateral edging profile. The side edging profile can be mounted vertically on the legs of the corner connectors. Any tolerances in the pane can be completely compensated for by the corner connector.

In a development of the invention, the lateral edging profile has first form-fitting elements which can be connected to the second form-fitting elements arranged on the legs of the corner connectors facing the lateral edging profile. This enables the lateral edging profile to be installed easily and at the same time in the correct position and vertically.

In an embodiment of the invention, an adapter strip is fastened to the glass pane between the corner connectors and is provided with second positive-locking elements. A first form-fitting element arranged on the lateral edging profile is preferably formed by a rotatably arranged bolt, with a second form-fitting element arranged on one leg of a corner connector and/or on an adapter strip comprising an undercut, behind which the bolt can be screwed. This enables a detachable pre-assembly of a lateral edging profile on the pane. Alternatively or additionally, a first form-fitting element and a second form-fitting element can also be formed by latching elements that correspond to one another.

The edging profiles of the pane edging and/or the corner connectors are preferably made of plastic. This achieves a cost-effective production.

In an embodiment of the invention, the lateral edging profile facing away from the fixed window element is provided with a grip profile strip at least in some areas or is designed as such. As a result, a visually appealing and at the same time non-dominant handle solution is achieved.

At least the bottom cover plates are preferably made of glass and/or metal, preferably aluminum. As a result, a particularly discreet design of the cover plates can be achieved for the visual continuation of the floor and also the ceiling.

In figure 2 shows the cross section of the bottom frame part 11 of such a sliding window device with the sliding window element 3 accommodated by it. The bottom frame part 11 has a first receptacle 14 for accommodating the fixed window element 2 and a second receptacle 15 arranged next to the first receptacle 14 for accommodating the sliding window element 3 . Support rollers 16 are arranged in the second receptacle 15 and have a radially circumferential groove for engaging a keel 7 which is arranged centrally on the underside of the displaceable window element 3 along its framing profile 51 on the floor. In the exemplary embodiment, the keel 7 is designed as a separate component with a T-shaped cross section, which is inserted into a corresponding slot 511 arranged on the bottom profile 51 of the sliding window element 3 .

The displaceable window element 3 is formed from a laminated glass pane 4 which is framed by a pane edging 5 which comprises a edging profile 51 on the floor, a edging profile 52 on the ceiling and two lateral edging profiles 53 . A horizontal groove for receiving a cover plate 8 is arranged in the vertical sections of the edging profiles 51 on the floor and also in the vertical sections of the edging profiles 52 on the ceiling. The fixed window element 2 is essentially constructed in the same way as the sliding window element 3, with an additional insert 511 being formed on the bottom edging profile 51 of the sliding window element 3, into which a keel 7 with a T-shaped cross section is inserted.

In figure 5 the structure of the sliding window element 3 is shown step by step. First, a laminated glass pane 4 is positioned between a floor-side edging profile 51 and a ceiling-side edging profile 52 ( Fig. 5 b) . A corner connector is then attached to each corner of the laminated glass pane 4 6 positioned. The corner connectors 6 and the opposite edging profiles 51 , 52 on the ceiling and floor are glued to the laminated glass pane 4 . A lateral edging profile 53 is then fastened to the lateral legs 61 of the corner connectors 6 on one side in each case. In the exemplary embodiment, the lateral legs 61 of the corner connectors 6 are provided with latching means—not shown—with which latching means present on the respective lateral edging profile 53 can be latched. Instead of snap-in connections, other form-fitting connections, such as mushroom-head connections, can also be provided. Alternatively or additionally, the side edging profiles 53 can also be glued to the side legs 61 of the corner connectors 6 . In the exemplary embodiment, grip strip profiles 531 are formed onto the lateral edging profiles 53 .

In figure 6 an embodiment of a window element 3 with a preassemblable lateral edging profile 53 is shown. In this case, an adapter strip 41 is arranged on the laminated glass pane 4, which is glued to the laminated glass pane 4 and which is designed in the manner of a C-profile, as a result of which two lateral undercuts are formed. Bolts 532 are rotatably mounted on the lateral edging profile 53 and can be brought into a first position in alignment with the adapter strip 41 so that they can be introduced into it. Subsequently, the bolts 532 can be rotated by means of an externally accessible tool (not shown) so that they engage behind the two undercuts of the adapter strip, as a result of which the lateral edging profile 53 is positively releasably connected to the laminated glass pane 4 .

Fig. 3).The corner connector 6 is in 4 shown. It is produced as a plastic injection molded part and has two legs 61 which are arranged at right angles to one another and are designed as U-profiles. A first leg 61 delimiting a groove 62 is arranged in the second leg 61 positioned at right angles to this. The legs 61 of the corner connector 6 are dimensioned in such a way that the groove wall of the groove 62 delimiting the first leg 61 is flush with the top of the floor-side edging profile 51 or the underside of the ceiling-side edging profile 52 in such a way that one on the top of the floor-side Edge profile 51 or the underside of the edge profile 52 placed on the ceiling engages in the groove 62 cover plate 8. The length of the lateral edging profiles 53 fastened to the lateral legs 61 of the corner connectors 6 is dimensioned in such a way that the respective lateral edging profile 53 is aligned at the end with the groove wall of the groove 62 facing it (cf. 3 ).
