Definitions
- the present invention relates to a profile connector assembly for guard frames for use with a building opening.
- Such protective devices can be, for example, insect protection doors in which an insect protection net is spanned by the frame and which can be attached to the frame of doors.
- Such an insect protection door can usually be fastened pivotably to the frame of the door with hinges.
- Such a frame generally has at least two first frame struts, each of which in particular has at least one outer profile strip and at least one inner profile strip that can be inserted telescopically into the outer profile strip(s) with an insertion depth, at least two second frame struts, which in particular each have at least one outer profile strip and at least one having an inner profile strip inserted telescopically with an insertion depth into the outer profile strip(s), and at least four profile connectors with which at least one first and one second frame strut are connected to one another, the profile connectors each having a central area that is not pushed into the frame struts.
- Such a framework is, for example, from EP 3 000 957 A1 known, in which a hinge element is formed on a profile connector, by means of which the frame can be attached as an insect screen door on a frame of a door.
- EP 2 484 855 B1 Another frame is known in which a central area of a profile connector is covered by a cover cap. Such cover caps are used so that the (front) side of the profile connector facing away from the frame of the door conveys a visually appealing impression, even if the profile connector has functional elements in the central region. More profile connector assemblies are out DE 20 2014 005807 U1 , FR 3 018 847 A1 , DE 20 2010 012403 U1 , JP S57 16482 U and DE 10 2005 048111 A1 known.
- the EP application with the application number 19152738.1 describes a foldable frame in which a rotary joint having at least one axis of rotation is formed between a first connecting leg and a second connecting leg of the profile connector in the central area, so that the first connecting leg and the second connecting leg from an initial position through a relative pivoting movement about the at least one axis of rotation of the swivel joint can be converted into an assembly position.
- Such profile connectors with connecting legs arranged pivotably relative to one another make it possible to form a frame whose frame struts are arranged parallel to one another in a space-saving manner in an initial position and which can be unfolded into an assembly position in which the frame struts are arranged at right angles to one another. Due to the design of the swivel joint, the frame struts, which are connected via a profile connector, can also have a certain amount of play with respect to one another in the assembly position.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to eliminate the disadvantages known from the prior art and, in particular, to specify a profile connector assembly consisting of a profile connector and a cover cap as well as a frame with a profile connector, with which a hinge element having a hinge element can be attached securely and load-bearingly to the Frame can be attached and / or with a foldable frame in its assembled position has a higher rigidity.
- a profile connector assembly comprising a profile connector, wherein the profile connector has at least a first connecting leg that can be inserted into a profile strip and a second connecting leg that can be inserted into a profile strip, as well as at least one central area connecting the connecting legs, and a cover cap, the cover cap being attached to the Profile connector is attachable and in the attached state covers the central area of the profile connector at least on one side.
- a frame comprising at least two first frame struts, at least two second frame struts, at least four profile connectors, with which at least one first and one second frame strut are connected to one another, the profile connectors each having a central area, and a cover cap for each profile connector, wherein the cap on the profile connector is attachable and in the attached state Central area of the profile connector covered at least on one side.
- At least one, in particular, elongate recess and at least one (preferably at least two or even at least three) elongate projection are formed on the profile connector and the cover cap, with the elongate projection engaging in at least one recess in the attached state, i.e. in exactly one or engages in a group of recesses.
- the invention therefore provides that elongated projections engage in particular in elongated recesses, so that the cover cap is attached to the profile connector in a connection-rigid manner, as a result of which a large transmission of force from the cover cap to the profile connector and thus to the frame is possible, which is then particularly necessary is when the cover cap is designed as a hinge element for the pivotable connection of the frame to a window frame.
- a profile connector consisting of at least two connecting legs connected pivotably via at least one swivel joint can be fixed in its assembly position in such a way that the play between the connecting legs is reduced or eliminated, so that the frame in the assembled position has a has higher rigidity.
- the elongated projection can be formed on the profile connector.
- the at least one elongate projection is formed on the covering cap and the at least one corresponding, preferably elongate recess is formed on the profile connector.
- An elongated projection is one that is longer than it is wide.
- the elongate projection is twice as long, preferably three or five times as long as it is wide.
- the cover cap covers the central area of the profile connector on the front side of the frame facing away from the frame, in particular complete. However, the cover cap preferably also extends over the inwardly directed side surface or the outwardly directed side surface of the central area of the profile connector. The cover cap preferably extends both over the inner side surface(s) and over the outer side surface of the central region of the profile connector.
- the cover cap is attached in particular in a non-positive and/or positive manner via the at least one elongate projection engaging in the at least one recess.
- the projection can have a width that is minimally greater than the width of the recess.
- the distance between the recess formed in the profile connector and an outer or inner side surface of the central region of the profile connector is greater than the corresponding distance between the elongated projection and the section of the covering cap that overlaps the profile connector on its inner or outer surface. Provision can also be made for two parallel, elongate projections to be formed on the covering cap, the spacing of which from the non-positive attachment is slightly less than the spacing of associated recesses.
- At least two preferably elongate recesses and at least two elongate projections are formed on the profile connector and the cover cap, with a first elongate projection oblique to a second elongate projection and correspondingly a first or a group of first recess(es) oblique to a second or a group of second recess (s) runs. While the first elongate projection and the second elongate projection can in principle run at any angle between 0° and 180° to one another, the first elongate projection and the second elongate projection preferably run at a 90° angle to one another. An even higher power transmission from the covering cap to the profile connector can take place due to two elongated projections.
- a third elongate projection and a corresponding third or a group of third recess(es) are formed, which run both obliquely to the first elongate projection and obliquely to the second elongate projection.
- the cover cap can be fixed or is fixed to the profile connector by means of at least one screw.
- a screw head of the screw is arranged in the fixed state in a receptacle formed in the profile connector, with in particular an internal thread for receiving the screw being formed in a protruding section of the cover cap, with a recess being formed in the profile connector, into which the projecting portion of the cap engages. Due to the particularly circular projecting section of the covering cap, an additional non-positive and/or form-fitting engagement of the covering cap with the profile connector can be achieved, as a result of which an even greater transmission of force can be achieved. At least one elongate projection can be designed in such a way that it merges into the projecting section. With the screw, the cover cap is thus additionally fixed to the profile connector for even greater power transmission.
- the covering cap consists in particular of a metal, as a result of which a high level of stability is achieved.
- the profile connector is braced between the metal cover cap and the screw, which ensures even greater rigidity, particularly in the case of a foldable frame.
- a hinge element can be formed on the outside, in particular on the section of the covering cap that overlaps the outer side surface of the profile connector, so that the covering cap serves as a band part of a hinge.
- the hinge element is in particular formed in one piece on the covering cap and preferably has an in particular circular hole Recording a hinge pin.
- a correspondingly equipped frame can thus be fastened pivotably to a window frame via a second hinge part attached to the window frame.
- a swivel joint having at least one axis of rotation is formed between the first connecting leg and the second connecting leg of the profile connector, particularly in the central area, so that the first connecting leg and the second connecting leg can be transferred from an initial position to an assembly position by a relative pivoting movement about the at least one axis of rotation of the swivel joint.
- the first connecting leg and the second connecting leg are arranged in a plane at right angles to each other.
- Such profile connectors with connecting legs arranged pivotably relative to one another make it possible to form a frame whose frame struts are arranged parallel (aligned or offset) to one another in a space-saving manner in an initial position and which can be unfolded into an assembly position in which the frame struts are arranged at right angles to one another.
- a foldable frame is described in the EP application with the application number 19152738.1, to which reference is explicitly made with regard to the design of a foldable frame. Due to the formation of the elongated projections and the recesses on the cover cap and the profile connector, a particularly stable fixation of the profile connector in the assembly position is now possible, as a result of which the rigidity of the unfolded frame is increased.
- a profile connector has at least two mutually pivotable components (connecting legs), at least one recess for receiving an elongated projection is preferably formed in each of the components.
- each frame strut has at least one outer profile strip and at least one inner profile strip inserted telescopically with an insertion depth into the outer profile strip, the outer contour of the inner profile strip and the inner contour of the outer profile strip should be matched to one another.
- the profile connectors are designed as a separate component or assembly, as described above.
- an element of the profile connector is arranged on a first frame strut (e.g.
- a second element of the profile connector is arranged on a second frame strut, the elements of a profile connector being connected to one another when the frame is assembled .
- the central region protruding beyond the frame struts, which are designed in particular as profile strips, is then covered by a covering cap in its attached state.
- the profile connector which is either designed in one piece or has connecting legs arranged pivotably relative to one another, is inserted at least in sections with a first connection leg into a profile strip of a first frame strut and with a second connection leg is inserted at least in sections in a profile strip of a second frame strut.
- the frame may be intended for insertion/attachment into/at a window opening, in which case the frame consists of two lateral vertical first frame braces and a lower and an upper horizontal second frame brace, the four profile connectors acting as corner connectors with each exactly two connection legs, which can be pivoted in particular relative to one another, are formed.
- the frame can be provided for a door opening, in which case the frame consists in particular of four lateral vertical first frame struts, as well as a lower, a middle and an upper horizontal second frame strut, the middle frame strut is connected at both ends by means of a profile connector designed as a center connector with two vertical frame struts (for which purpose the profile connector has three connecting legs), the center connector each having three connecting legs, in particular pivotable to one another.
- an insect protection screen is attached or can be attached to the frame.
- a pollen protection grid can also be stretched with the frame.
- a light well cover it would be conceivable in principle for a light well cover to be formed with the frame, in which a corresponding protective grille is spanned by the frame.
- the Figures 1 and 2 show a profile connector assembly with a Profile connector 1 and a cap 2, wherein the profile connector 1 is integrated in a frame.
- the profile connector 1 is inserted with a (not visible) connecting leg in a profile strip 4.1a of a first frame strut and with a second (not visible) connecting leg in a profile strip 4.1b of another first frame strut.
- the profile connector 1 also includes a third connecting leg, not visible in the figures, which is inserted into a profile strip 4.2b of a second frame strut.
- the profile connector 1 has a central region 3 which is not inserted into the profile strips 4.1a, 4.1b and 4.2b and which is covered by the covering cap 2 on its front side in the assembled state.
- the profile connector 1 has two axes of rotation 14 in the central area 3, which together form a first pivot joint 13, so that the profile strip 4.1a can be pivoted about the pivot joint 13.1 in the direction of the profile strip 4.2b in the plane of the frame, for which purpose the axes of rotation of the first pivot joint 13.1 are oriented orthogonally to the plane of the frame.
- a second rotary joint 13.2 is also formed in the central area 3, the non-visible axes of which are aligned in the plane of the frame. The profile bar 4.1b can thus be pivoted onto the profile bar 4.2b.
- FIG. 2 shows, on the rear side of the cover cap 2 facing the profile connector 1 there is a first elongated projection 6.1, a second elongated projection 6.2 running at right angles thereto and a third elongated projection 6.3 running obliquely to the first elongated projection 6.1 and the second elongated projection 6.2.
- three circular projecting sections 10 are formed on the back of the cap 2, which have an internal thread in their interior.
- the projections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 are pulled into the corresponding recesses 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 of the central area 3 of the profile connector 1 using the screws 7, with the positive and non-positive inclusion of the projections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 in the corresponding Recesses 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 large forces can be transferred without play from the cover cap 2 to the profile connector 1.
- the covering cap 2 thus prevents the connecting legs from pivoting about the rotary joints 13.1 and 13.2 and also eliminates the play between the connecting legs, so that the frame has a high degree of rigidity.
- Such a large power transmission is particularly useful when a hinge element 12 is formed on the cover cap 2, as shown in figure 3 is shown. Also is in figure 3 to see that on the back of the cap 2 a plurality of projections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 are formed and two projecting sections 10 for forming an internal thread.
- FIG 4 Another embodiment of a profile connector assembly integrated in a frame is shown, wherein the profile connector 1 forms a corner connector in contrast to the center connector of the embodiment of FIG Figures 1 and 2 .
- the profile connector 1 is plugged into a profile strip 4.1a of a first frame strut and into a profile strip 4.2a of a second frame strut with non-visible connecting legs.
- the profile connector 1 has recesses 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3.
- the elongated projections 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 on the back of the cover cap 2 are in figure 5 shown, in which also a protruding Section 10 can be seen, which forms an internal thread for a screw 7 in its interior. In the installed state, the protruding section 10 engages in the recess 11 formed in the central area 3 .
- the cover cap 2 also has a hinge element 12 as a through hole for receiving a hinge pin 16 so that the cover cap 2 and thus also the remaining parts of the frame connected to the cover cap 2 can be pivotably attached to a second hinge element 15 .
