Definitions
- the invention relates to a folding box consisting of a cover and a preferably cuboid-shaped inner body.
- Such a folding box can be unfolded from a folded, flat state into a 3-dimensional, cuboid shape.
- Both the cover and the inner body, which is cuboid when unfolded consist of corresponding folding cuts, i.e. a corresponding number of suitable folding elements or sections that can be pivoted or folded towards each other, so that it is possible to switch between the folded and unfolded form.
- a folding box of the type described above ultimately consists of two central box parts, namely the cover on the one hand and the cuboid-shaped inner body on the other.
- the cover runs around four sides of the box in such folding boxes, which are used in particular for packaging high-quality, expensive products.
- the inner body, in which the packaged goods are held, is arranged inside this quasi-hollow, four-sided folding cover.
- a known folding box such as in EP 3 257 769 A1
- a magnetic closure is provided on the cover.
- two folding elements of the cover lie flat on top of each other, with magnetically interacting magnetic elements being provided in both folding elements, which magnetically adhere to each other in the unfolded position, so that the two folding elements can only be separated from each other with a slight effort, but do not open automatically.
- These magnetic elements are to be concealed, particularly for optical reasons, for which they are arranged under a paper layer covering the relatively stiff cover material, usually cardboard or the like.
- the integration of these magnetic elements in the production process of the cover or the case is complex, and on the other hand, a suitable number of folding elements on the cover allows for a corresponding To ensure element coverage.
- snap fasteners or Velcro fasteners are used as closure elements, the same applies, because these closure elements are also correspondingly complex to integrate, just as a correspondingly large cover design is required.
- the invention is therefore based on the problem of specifying a folding box which is improved compared to the above.
- the folding box consists of a foldable cover and a foldable, cuboid-shaped inner body when unfolded, which allows the folding box to be folded up into a small format when not in use and thus to save space, but when in use it can be easily and quickly unfolded to accommodate the packaged goods.
- the foldable cover consists of only four pivoting connected folding elements, namely a base element, a side element, a lid element and a further side element. On or in the area of the free edge of the final further side element, an insertion tab is provided which, unlike what is usual with such folding boxes, can be inserted into an insertion slot, by which the cover is fixed in its unfolded position.
- This insertion slot is formed between the surface of the base element and the inner body, which is arranged on the base element.
- the foldable inner body which in turn consists of at least four side walls and which, in a further development of the invention, can consist of at least five pivotally connected folding elements, namely a base and side walls arranged on its four sides, is placed on the cover-side base element during the manufacture of the folding box and fixed thereto, usually glued. Since the base area of the inner body, e.g. defined by the area of its possibly provided base, almost corresponds to the area of the base element, according to the invention a suitable slot can be formed between the inner body and the base element surface, i.e. e.g. between the base and the base element, i.e. e.g.
- This slot which is of course formed in the area of a box edge, serves to accommodate the insertion tab. To unfold it is therefore only necessary to unfold the inner body together with the cover and place the cover with its cover element on the open inner body and bring the additional end side element into the closed position in which it runs adjacent to a side wall of the inner body and push the insertion tab into the insertion slot.
- the folding box according to the invention is characterized by its simplicity.
- the cover consists of only four folding elements, since, unlike in the prior art, no element overlap is required due to the closing device with the insertion flap provided according to the invention.
- the cover can basically be produced more simply and thus more cost-effectively.
- no two interacting closure elements such as magnetic strips, snap fasteners or the like are to be provided, but only an insertion flap, which can be suitably designed as an integral folding section at the end of the cover edge, or as a folding element attached to it, i.e. preferably glued thereto.
- the design of the insertion slot is also extremely simple, as it is achieved by simply gluing the inner body or, if provided, its base to the base element not all the way around on all connecting sides, but only locally on the insertion side, so that at the position where the insertion tab is to be inserted, a corresponding insertion slot is created due to the lack of an adhesive connection.
- the drop box according to the invention thus offers the possibility of simple production that requires less material, particularly with regard to the production of the cover, and is therefore cost-effective, with the possibility of being able to unfold it as desired between a small-format, space-saving form and the erected form.
- the inner body consists of at least five pivotally connected folding elements, namely a base and side walls arranged on its four sides.
- a complete inner body component is provided, which can be prefabricated as such and is glued to the base element with its base.
- the inner body can consist of four separate side walls and a separate base, all of which are separately attached to the base element, i.e. glued.
- several separate elements are used to form the inner body.
- the base is preferably glued to the base element, over which the entire inner body is fixed. If separate side walls and a separate base are used, the four separate side walls are glued to the base element using the adhesive tabs provided, and the base is glued to the side tabs and the base element.
- the side walls are simple die-cut pieces and have adhesive tabs with which they are glued to the base element. The separate base is then glued to the base element, covering the adhesive tabs.
- the two opposite side edges of the base or the two separate side walls are spaced at least by the thickness of an adjacent side wall element of the cover from the adjacent side edge of the base element.
- the base or the separate side walls are slightly narrower than the base element in at least one direction, and in total at least by twice the thickness of a side wall element.
- an advantageous development of the invention provides that at least one tangible opening means for manually releasing the side element from the closed position fixed by the insert tab is provided on the side element having the tuck-in tab. This means that the side element which is to be swung open for opening is visually marked using a suitable opening means, and the manually accessible opening means enables the side element to be easily released and the cover to be opened.
- the opening means can preferably be designed in the form of a grip tab protruding from the side element. On the one hand, such a grip tab is immediately visible, and on the other hand, it is easy to grip, so that the side element can be swung open without any problem.
- the grip tab can be part of a tab cut that also includes the tuck-in tab and that is attached to the side element. This means that both the tuck-in tab and the grip tab are formed via this tab cut.
- This tab cut is expediently formed from two cuts glued together, which tab cut is glued to the side element, possibly laminated over a layer of paper. If the tuck-in tab is a one-piece element of the cover cut, the grip tab is of course formed via a separate, separate tab cut that is glued to the cover side element.
- the opening means in the form of a gripping tab
- the opening means as an engagement opening, i.e. as a simple punched opening, for example in the form of a circular hole in the side element, which engagement opening is formed close to the side element edge having the insertion tab.
- the user can easily On the one hand, you can identify the page that needs to be opened and, on the other hand, you can put your finger in the opening and swing the cover open.
- the side element (7) having the insertion tab (9) has two free corners (22), whereby the two free corners are bevelled or rounded.
- This also makes it possible to identify the cover page to be opened and to open it easily. This is because the two bevelled or rounded corners are easily visible.
- these recessed areas can also be easily grasped manually in order to swing the side element open. The formation of a grip tab or similar is then not absolutely necessary, but can equally be provided in addition.
- the base or the separate side walls are attached to the base element via the adhesive tabs and the separate base is preferably attached via an adhesive connection, which adhesive connection extends only in sections along the area to be glued, close to the edge, to form the insertion slot on the insertion side.
- This means that the adhesive is only applied locally on this insertion side; if there is only one insertion tab in the middle of the cover side edge, the adhesive connection is left out in the middle area so that the slot is formed.
- the adhesive is applied to all other peripheral edges or otherwise over a large area across the entire base area.
- a recess is formed on the base element, which is overlapped by the base, whether with hinged side walls or separately, or the adhesive tab of the separate side wall to form the insertion slot.
- the base element is either embossed with the recess, or it has a punched-out area that is overlapped and closed on the outside by a cover layer. The slot appears towards the inside after the recess there is overlapped by the base or the adhesive tab.
- the inner body consists of at least five folding elements, namely a base and four hinged hinges on the four base edges. Side walls.
- a stiffening wall is pivotably arranged on each of two opposite side walls of the inner body, which can be pivoted onto the inside of the respective side wall when the inner body is set up.
- the folding cut of the inner body consists of seven folding elements, namely the five folding elements mentioned at the beginning and the two additional stiffening walls. If the folding box is therefore unfolded, after the inner body has been set up, only the respective side wall has to be pivoted inwards and onto the respective side wall so that the stiffening is created.
- At least one fixing element in particular a locking projection, is provided on the free longitudinal edge of each stiffening wall, which engages in a fixing recess, in particular a locking recess, on the base to fix the pivoted-in stiffening wall.
- a fixing element in particular in the form of a locking projection, can be easily formed as a folding section, just as the fixing recess, in particular the locking recess, can be easily punched out when punching the folding blank.
- the respective stiffening wall is fixed or locked accordingly in the restricted stiffening position, so that permanent stabilization is provided.
- the four side walls of the inner body are expediently connected to one another, in particular glued, via corresponding folding corners, which are preferably formed on the two side walls not overlapped by a side element in the closed position.
- the inner body can consist of a one-piece folding cut, which means that at least five folding elements, if necessary all seven folding elements, as well as the corresponding folding corners, which still have to be glued to the adjacent side walls during the production of the folding box.
- the inner body consists of a first folding blank, which comprises the base and the side walls pivotably connected to opposite sides and, if applicable, the stiffening walls pivotally connected to them, and two second folding blanks, which form the two other side walls and folding corners and are connected to the base and the adjacent side walls via folding corners.
- the inner body would therefore be made of three folding blanks that are glued to one another.
- the cover and/or the inner body itself is preferably made of cardboard or paperboard, although the use of corrugated cardboard is also conceivable, particularly with regard to the inner body. It is therefore possible to cover the cover and/or the inner body, if necessary at least in sections, with a decorative paper or a decorative film, which decorative paper or which decorative film defines the external appearance and can be designed in any way. However, it is advisable not only to cover the outside with a decorative paper or a decorative film, but also the inside, which can be seen when the cover or inner body is unfolded, so that an attractive appearance is achieved there too.
- the cover forms the outside of the folding box, apart from the two open sides, and can therefore be subjected to mechanical stress, it is advisable for the cover to be more rigid than the inner body.
- the cardboard or paperboard of the cover is correspondingly thicker, i.e. has a higher basis weight, than the inner body.
- the folding box as a whole can have a rectangular shape when viewed from the side, which means that the two side elements on the cover side are the same size as the base element and the lid element. If the base and lid elements are the same size as the side elements, the result is a square shape, otherwise a rectangular shape. If the edge lengths of the respective elements are the same, then a cube shape results, if the edge lengths of the respective side and long edges of the individual elements are unequal, then naturally a rectangular cuboid shape. The geometry of the inner body naturally corresponds to that of the cover, so that a corresponding, all-round closed cuboid shape results. Alternatively, it is also possible to deviate from the square or rectangular shape when viewed from the side.
- the two side elements of the cover (and of course the side walls of the inner body) are of different heights, which means that the side elements are at right angles to the base element, just as the side walls on the body side are at right angles to the floor.
- the cover element then runs at a corresponding angle to the base element or the side elements, i.e. is no longer parallel to the floor or perpendicular to the side elements. Seen from the side, this results in a trapezoidal shape.
- the side walls of the inner body which close the two open cover sides, must of course be designed in a corresponding trapezoidal shape.
- Fig. 1 and 2 show a folding box 1 according to the invention, consisting of a cover 2 and a cuboid-shaped Inner body 3, whereby the Fig. 1 and 2 show the folding box 1 in the unfolded state.
- Fig.1 shows the folding box 1 from the inside with a view of the inner body 3, Fig.2 the outside looking at the outside of the cover.
- the foldable cover consists, see Fig.2 , made of four folding elements arranged in a row and pivotably connected, namely a base element 4, a first side element 5, a cover element 6 and a second side element 7.
- an insertion tab 9 is provided on its free longitudinal edge 8, as well as a handle tab 10.
- the cover 2 consists of a sufficiently rigid cardboard or paperboard, i.e. with a corresponding basis weight, and is provided with a decorative paper 11 on the inside and a decorative paper 12 is applied to the outside.
- the insertion tab 9 can be an integral part of the folding cut of the cover 2, i.e. an integral part of the cardboard or paperboard body. However, it can also be glued on as a separate folding cut and covered by the decorative paper 11.
- the handle bottle 10 is also a suitable folding cut, i.e. made of paper, but can also be made of fabric or the like and is also glued on in a suitable manner and covered with the decorative paper 11 if necessary.
- the inner body 3 which is already slightly raised here and therefore not completely flat, is preferably a one-piece folding blank, here consisting of a total of seven folding elements. It has a base 13, two first side walls 14 pivotably connected to the base 13 and two hinged stiffening walls 15 adjoining these. Furthermore, two further side walls 16 are pivotably connected to the two other opposite base side edges, which are coupled in terms of movement to the side walls 14 via corresponding folding corners 17, the folding corners 17 being glued to the side walls 14.
- fixing elements 18 are formed in the form of two locking projections each, which engage in recesses formed on the base 13.
- the inner body 3 also consists of a corresponding folding cut-out made of cardboard or paperboard, but of a somewhat thinner material or one with a lower basis weight, since it does not necessarily have to be as stable as the cover 2 representing the outer cover.
- the body folding cut-out is also covered on both sides with a decorative paper 23 (inside) or 24 (outside) in order to form its appearance accordingly.
- Both the cover 2 and the inner body 3 are corresponding folding components consisting of the corresponding folding blanks on which, without going into detail, corresponding folding edges are formed by suitable line embossings, which form pivot axes about which the individual folding elements can be pivoted.
- the Fig. 3 - 8 show the continuous erection process of the folding box 1, starting from the flat form according to Fig.1 .
- Fig.3 shows that the inner body 3 has already been partially erected.
- the two side walls 16 are already slightly folded up and the two side walls 14 are also coupled in movement with them, as the movement coupling is provided via the folded corners 17 as described.
- the stiffening walls 15 have not yet been folded in.
- Fig.4 shows the inner body 3 in a further unfolded position shortly before the moment when the side walls 14, 16 are completely unfolded and run vertically to the floor 13.
- the two stiffening walls 15 are now also guided upwards and, when the side walls 14, 16 are all unfolded vertically on the floor 13, are pivoted inwards, as Fig.5 shows.
- the right stiffening wall 15 is already folded inwards, the left stiffening form 15 is not yet. This is done in the next folding step.
- the fixing elements 18, i.e. the locking projections snap into the corresponding Fixing receptacles 19, i.e. the punched-out locking receptacles, via which the stiffening walls 15 and thus this side wall construction, but also the entire inner body 3, are fixed in the unfolded form.
- the cover 2 is folded around the inner body 3.
- the base 13, which is glued to the base element 4 is slightly smaller than the base element 4, as in Fig.2 is shown, where the base 13 is shown in dashed lines.
- the base element 4 on the cover side protrudes slightly on all four edges.
- the distance on the two other, shorter edges of the base 13 to the base element 4, i.e. on the open cover sides, is provided here, but does not have to be realized; a flush design would also be conceivable here.
- Fig.6 now shows a perspective side view of the folding box 1 with the unfolded inner body 3 and the not yet unfolded cover 2. Shown there is the base element 4 on which the inner body 3 sits, followed by the first side element 5, the lid element 6 and the end second side element 7 with the insertion tab 9 and the handle tab 10 (not shown in detail).
- the side element 5, the cover element 6 and the second side element 7 are folded over so that the side element 5 lies parallel to the side wall 14 of the inner body 2 and the cover element 4 is placed on the inner body 3 which is open at the top.
- the end side element 7 is then folded in the last folding step, see Fig.8 , folded downwards so that it lies parallel to the body side wall 14, during which folding movement the insertion tab 9 is simultaneously inserted into an insertion slot 20. This is also the case in Fig.9 shown in more detail. If the side element 7 is folded completely against the side wall 14, the insertion flap 9 is completely inserted into the slot 20, which fixes the cover 2 in its closed position.
- Fig. 10 and 11 show the structure in the area of the box bottom of the folding box 1, formed by the bottom element 4 and the bottom 13 of the inner body fixed by an adhesive layer 21.
- Fig.10 shows the view as in Fig.9 , but with the insertion tab 9 not inserted.
- the adhesive layer 21 shown here as being exaggeratedly thick does not extend over the entire width of the connection, but is cut out in the middle, so that the insertion slot 20 is formed due to a lack of a material connection. Of course, the adhesive layer 21 extends along the three other connection edges, or there is full-surface bonding, only in the front edge area is the adhesive layer 21 locally cut out to form the insertion slot 20.
- the insertion tab 9 is then inserted into this as described.
- Fig. 11 shows the end position, whereby the side element 7 is only shown in dashed lines.
- the insertion tab 9 is clearly engaged in the insertion slot 20, while the grip tab 10 protrudes slightly on the outside and can be gripped in order to pull the insertion tab 9 out of the insertion slot 20 again and to swing the side element 7 open.
- the folding box 1 is folded in the opposite way, that is to say that first the cover 2 is opened by pulling out the insertion flap 9 and unfolded, whereupon by unfolding the reinforcing walls 15, which are provided with gripping flaps 25, by means of which they can be easily can be swung open, the inner body 3 is released and folded together again.
- cover 2 and folding cut 3 are provided with decorative paper on the inside and outside, any design options are possible, whereby a laminated decorative film can also be used instead of decorative paper.
- a corresponding engagement opening can also be provided in the region of the side element 7, into which the finger can easily be inserted in order to pivot the side element 7 open, wherein such an engagement opening can also be provided in addition to the rounded corners 22 if necessary.
- FIGS. 12 - 14 show a folding box 1 according to the invention of a second embodiment, wherein the same reference numerals are used for the same parts wherever possible.
- This folding box 1 also consists of a cover 2 and a cuboid-shaped inner body 3 in the unfolded form, whereby Fig. 12 the folding box in the unfolded state and Fig. 13 shows the folding box in a partially unfolded state with the inner body 3 unfolded.
- the cover 2 also consists of four folding elements arranged in a row and pivotably connected, namely a base element 4, a first side element 5, a cover element 6 and a second side element 7, on which an insertion flap 9 and a grip flap 10 (see Fig. 14 ) is provided.
- the cover consists of a sufficiently stiff cardboard or paperboard and is preferably provided with a decorative paper 11 on the inside as well as a decorative paper 12 on the outside, whereby instead of a decorative paper, a decorative film
- the cover 2 corresponds to the cover 2 as in the first embodiment according to the Figures 1 - 11 described.
- the inner body 3 also comprises four side walls, namely the opposite side walls 14, to which two stiffening walls 15 are pivotably attached. Two further opposite side walls 16 are also provided, so that the inner body is closed to form a cuboid, see Fig. 13
- the side walls 14 and 16 are glued together via corresponding folding corners 17, similar to the folding box from the Figures 1 - 11 .
- a floor 13 is also planned.
- the inner body 3 is made up of five separate parts, which are separately attached to the base element 4 of the cover 2.
- the two side walls 14 with their hinged stiffening walls 15 are two separate parts, as are the two side walls 16 with the folded corners 17 formed on them, as well as the base 13.
- the side walls each have adhesive tabs 26, which are in Fig. 13 are indicated by dashed lines, and by means of which they are glued to the base element 4 via an adhesive layer.
- the base 13 is also glued to the base element 4 and covers the adhesive tabs 26, so these are not visible in the finished state.
- the side walls 14, 16 and the stiffening walls 15 are made of sufficiently stiff cardboard or paperboard.
- the base 13 can also be made of suitably stiff cardboard or paperboard, but it can also just be a stiffer paper. In this case, its task is ultimately to cover the adhesive tabs 26.
- the inner body 3 is first unfolded by setting up the side walls 14, 16, which is easily possible since they are coupled in motion via the folding corners 17. Then the two stiffening walls 15 are folded inwards into contact with the inner sides of the side walls 14, where they can be folded in, as in the design according to the Figures 1 - 11 , again via corresponding locking connections in their position be fixed, although in Fig. 12 not shown in detail.
- the cover 2 is then folded over and the insertion flap 9 is inserted into the insertion slot 20.
- this insertion slot 20 is formed in a different way in this embodiment than in the embodiment according to the Figures 1 - 11 .
- a cutout 27 is provided on the base element 4, whereby the base element 4 is covered on the outside by the decorative paper 12, which also overlaps the cutout 27.
- the side wall 14 is connected to the opposite side, or rather its adhesive tab 26, which runs over the cutout 27.
- the adhesive tab 26 is in Fig. 14 indicated, although it is not visible as such in this view.
- the insertion slot 20 is not formed between the base 13 and the base element 4, as in the embodiment according to the Figures 1 - 11 , but via a cut-out 27 covered on both sides, which is open at the lower edge of the box so that the insertion flap 9 can be inserted. If the folding process is continued according to Fig. 14 The second side element 7 would now be pivoted and placed on the side wall 14, whereby the insertion tab 9 is inserted into the insertion slot 20.
- folding box 1 according to Figures 1 - 11 can also be used for folding box 1 according to the Figures 12 - 14 It is conceivable to attach corresponding tabs to the reinforcing walls 15, which allow them to be pulled out again from their folded position after folding. Alternatively, edge-side punched-outs can be provided, which can be gripped behind with the finger. Instead of the decorative papers, decorative foils can also be used. Furthermore, the design of the insertion slot 20 can of course also be the same as in the design according to the Figures 1 - 11 take place.

Such a folding box can be unfolded from a folded, flat state into a 3-dimensional, cuboid shape. Both the cover and the inner body, which is cuboid when unfolded, consist of corresponding folding cuts, i.e. a corresponding number of suitable folding elements or sections that can be pivoted or folded towards each other, so that it is possible to switch between the folded and unfolded form.
The invention is therefore based on the problem of specifying a folding box which is improved compared to the above.
- (a) the foldable cover consists of four folding elements arranged in a row and pivotally connected, namely a base element, a side element, a cover element and a further side element,
- b) and the foldable inner body, which can be converted from a folded flat form into an unfolded cuboid form, consists of at least four side walls,
- c) wherein the inner body is attached to the base element of the cover and, in the closed position of the cover, its side elements run adjacent to side walls of the inner body and the cover element closes an open side of the inner body,
- d) and wherein an insertion tab arranged on the free side of the terminal further side element can be inserted into an insertion slot between the base element and the inner body for fixing the cover in the closed position.
As described, the folding box consists of a foldable cover and a foldable, cuboid-shaped inner body when unfolded, which allows the folding box to be folded up into a small format when not in use and thus to save space, but when in use it can be easily and quickly unfolded to accommodate the packaged goods. According to the invention, the foldable cover consists of only four pivoting connected folding elements, namely a base element, a side element, a lid element and a further side element. On or in the area of the free edge of the final further side element, an insertion tab is provided which, unlike what is usual with such folding boxes, can be inserted into an insertion slot, by which the cover is fixed in its unfolded position.
This insertion slot is formed between the surface of the base element and the inner body, which is arranged on the base element. The foldable inner body, which in turn consists of at least four side walls and which, in a further development of the invention, can consist of at least five pivotally connected folding elements, namely a base and side walls arranged on its four sides, is placed on the cover-side base element during the manufacture of the folding box and fixed thereto, usually glued. Since the base area of the inner body, e.g. defined by the area of its possibly provided base, almost corresponds to the area of the base element, according to the invention a suitable slot can be formed between the inner body and the base element surface, i.e. e.g. between the base and the base element, i.e. e.g. an area in which the two opposite base surfaces are not glued together. This slot, which is of course formed in the area of a box edge, serves to accommodate the insertion tab. To unfold it is therefore only necessary to unfold the inner body together with the cover and place the cover with its cover element on the open inner body and bring the additional end side element into the closed position in which it runs adjacent to a side wall of the inner body and push the insertion tab into the insertion slot.
The folding box according to the invention is characterized by its simplicity. Firstly, the cover consists of only four folding elements, since, unlike in the prior art, no element overlap is required due to the closing device with the insertion flap provided according to the invention. This means that the cover can basically be produced more simply and thus more cost-effectively. can, especially since no two interacting closure elements such as magnetic strips, snap fasteners or the like are to be provided, but only an insertion flap, which can be suitably designed as an integral folding section at the end of the cover edge, or as a folding element attached to it, i.e. preferably glued thereto.
The design of the insertion slot is also extremely simple, as it is achieved by simply gluing the inner body or, if provided, its base to the base element not all the way around on all connecting sides, but only locally on the insertion side, so that at the position where the insertion tab is to be inserted, a corresponding insertion slot is created due to the lack of an adhesive connection. Of course, it is also possible to create two or more insertion tabs on the cover edge, and in this way several insertion slots or a large insertion slot over a corresponding length in the edge area can be created.
The drop box according to the invention thus offers the possibility of simple production that requires less material, particularly with regard to the production of the cover, and is therefore cost-effective, with the possibility of being able to unfold it as desired between a small-format, space-saving form and the erected form.
It is conceivable that the inner body consists of at least five pivotally connected folding elements, namely a base and side walls arranged on its four sides. This means that a complete inner body component is provided, which can be prefabricated as such and is glued to the base element with its base. Alternatively, the inner body can consist of four separate side walls and a separate base, all of which are separately attached to the base element, i.e. glued. Here, several separate elements are used to form the inner body.
If an inner body with a base and side walls attached to it is planned, the base is preferably glued to the base element, over which the entire inner body is fixed. If separate side walls and a separate base are used, the four separate side walls are glued to the base element using the adhesive tabs provided, and the base is glued to the side tabs and the base element. The side walls are simple die-cut pieces and have adhesive tabs with which they are glued to the base element. The separate base is then glued to the base element, covering the adhesive tabs.
It is useful if the two opposite side edges of the base or the two separate side walls are spaced at least by the thickness of an adjacent side wall element of the cover from the adjacent side edge of the base element. This means that the base or the separate side walls are slightly narrower than the base element in at least one direction, and in total at least by twice the thickness of a side wall element. This allows the two base side edges of the inner body to slide slightly inwards with respect to the adjacent side edges of the side elements of the cover, so that when unfolded, the side elements on the cover side run parallel and flat or with a minimal distance to the side walls on the body side. Overall, this results in a very compact structure without large or conspicuous side slits. In addition, this ensures that the cover can be placed around the inner body with virtually no tension, since their sizes are precisely matched to one another. This makes it possible to insert the tuck-in flap without any tension, since all folding elements of the cover and body lie on top of each other virtually tension-free.
When the cover is closed, it forms a cuboid shape that is closed on four sides, namely the base, the cover and the two opposite side walls, while the other two sides running orthogonally to it are open. This cover therefore has a visually appealing, symmetrical appearance, in which all the folding elements of the cover merge virtually seamlessly into one another and, in particular, the adjacent side edges of the side elements lie almost flush or next to one another without a gap. This sometimes means that it is not immediately apparent to the user which side the cover should be opened on, since all sides are virtually closed and present themselves as closed surfaces. In order to simplify opening, an advantageous development of the invention provides that at least one tangible opening means for manually releasing the side element from the closed position fixed by the insert tab is provided on the side element having the tuck-in tab. This means that the side element which is to be swung open for opening is visually marked using a suitable opening means, and the manually accessible opening means enables the side element to be easily released and the cover to be opened.
The opening means can preferably be designed in the form of a grip tab protruding from the side element. On the one hand, such a grip tab is immediately visible, and on the other hand, it is easy to grip, so that the side element can be swung open without any problem. The grip tab can be part of a tab cut that also includes the tuck-in tab and that is attached to the side element. This means that both the tuck-in tab and the grip tab are formed via this tab cut. This tab cut is expediently formed from two cuts glued together, which tab cut is glued to the side element, possibly laminated over a layer of paper. If the tuck-in tab is a one-piece element of the cover cut, the grip tab is of course formed via a separate, separate tab cut that is glued to the cover side element.
As an alternative to designing the opening means in the form of a gripping tab, it is also conceivable to design the opening means as an engagement opening, i.e. as a simple punched opening, for example in the form of a circular hole in the side element, which engagement opening is formed close to the side element edge having the insertion tab. The user can easily On the one hand, you can identify the page that needs to be opened and, on the other hand, you can put your finger in the opening and swing the cover open.
Alternatively or additionally, it is also conceivable that the side element (7) having the insertion tab (9) has two free corners (22), whereby the two free corners are bevelled or rounded. This also makes it possible to identify the cover page to be opened and to open it easily. This is because the two bevelled or rounded corners are easily visible. In addition, these recessed areas can also be easily grasped manually in order to swing the side element open. The formation of a grip tab or similar is then not absolutely necessary, but can equally be provided in addition.
As already described, the base or the separate side walls are attached to the base element via the adhesive tabs and the separate base is preferably attached via an adhesive connection, which adhesive connection extends only in sections along the area to be glued, close to the edge, to form the insertion slot on the insertion side. This means that the adhesive is only applied locally on this insertion side; if there is only one insertion tab in the middle of the cover side edge, the adhesive connection is left out in the middle area so that the slot is formed. Of course, the adhesive is applied to all other peripheral edges or otherwise over a large area across the entire base area. Alternatively, it is also conceivable that a recess is formed on the base element, which is overlapped by the base, whether with hinged side walls or separately, or the adhesive tab of the separate side wall to form the insertion slot. Here, the base element is either embossed with the recess, or it has a punched-out area that is overlapped and closed on the outside by a cover layer. The slot appears towards the inside after the recess there is overlapped by the base or the adhesive tab.
As described, the inner body consists of at least five folding elements, namely a base and four hinged hinges on the four base edges. Side walls. In order to stiffen the inner body in the unfolded position, it is expedient in a further development of the invention if a stiffening wall is pivotably arranged on each of two opposite side walls of the inner body, which can be pivoted onto the inside of the respective side wall when the inner body is set up. In this case, the folding cut of the inner body consists of seven folding elements, namely the five folding elements mentioned at the beginning and the two additional stiffening walls. If the folding box is therefore unfolded, after the inner body has been set up, only the respective side wall has to be pivoted inwards and onto the respective side wall so that the stiffening is created. In order to permanently fix this pivoted-in position, it is advantageous if at least one fixing element, in particular a locking projection, is provided on the free longitudinal edge of each stiffening wall, which engages in a fixing recess, in particular a locking recess, on the base to fix the pivoted-in stiffening wall. Such a fixing element, in particular in the form of a locking projection, can be easily formed as a folding section, just as the fixing recess, in particular the locking recess, can be easily punched out when punching the folding blank. In any case, the respective stiffening wall is fixed or locked accordingly in the restricted stiffening position, so that permanent stabilization is provided.
The four side walls of the inner body are expediently connected to one another, in particular glued, via corresponding folding corners, which are preferably formed on the two side walls not overlapped by a side element in the closed position. This thus provides a simple way of connecting the side walls in such a way that when the folding box or the inner body is unfolded, the side walls are all automatically moved and unfolded and when folded up, they are converted back into the flat shape.
The inner body can consist of a one-piece folding cut, which means that at least five folding elements, if necessary all seven folding elements, as well as the corresponding folding corners, which still have to be glued to the adjacent side walls during the production of the folding box. Alternatively, it is also conceivable that the inner body consists of a first folding blank, which comprises the base and the side walls pivotably connected to opposite sides and, if applicable, the stiffening walls pivotally connected to them, and two second folding blanks, which form the two other side walls and folding corners and are connected to the base and the adjacent side walls via folding corners. Here, the inner body would therefore be made of three folding blanks that are glued to one another.
The cover and/or the inner body itself is preferably made of cardboard or paperboard, although the use of corrugated cardboard is also conceivable, particularly with regard to the inner body.
Since the cover forms the outside of the folding box, apart from the two open sides, and can therefore be subjected to mechanical stress, it is advisable for the cover to be more rigid than the inner body. This means that the cardboard or paperboard of the cover is correspondingly thicker, i.e. has a higher basis weight, than the inner body.
The folding box as a whole can have a rectangular shape when viewed from the side, which means that the two side elements on the cover side are the same size as the base element and the lid element. For this, it is necessary that the two side elements of the cover (and of course the side walls of the inner body) are of different heights, which means that the side elements are at right angles to the base element, just as the side walls on the body side are at right angles to the floor. On the cover side, however, the cover element then runs at a corresponding angle to the base element or the side elements, i.e. is no longer parallel to the floor or perpendicular to the side elements. Seen from the side, this results in a trapezoidal shape. In a corresponding manner, the side walls of the inner body, which close the two open cover sides, must of course be designed in a corresponding trapezoidal shape.

The
On the free edges of the stiffening
The
Both the

The
Because the respective folding cuts of
Finally, it should be noted that instead of a
