Description

  • The present invention relates to a dishwasher for emitting light onto the floor.
  • Dishwashers provide the cleaning of kitchen utensils with detergent and water at high temperatures. By means of the control panels on the dishwashers, the user can adjust parameters such as temperature, duration, etc. By means of the illumination elements on the control panels, the user is informed of the program being run by the dishwasher or the remaining time. In order to reduce the space occupied by the dishwashers in the kitchen, nowadays the use of built-in dishwashers becomes widespread. The built-in dishwashers are installed into a gap provided between the kitchen cupboards. Thus, the built-in dishwasher gains a harmonious appearance with the kitchen furniture and occupies less space. In the built-in dishwashers decorative panels are used on the door. By means of the decorative panels, the dishwasher does not stand out and gains a harmonious appearance with the respect to the kitchen environment. However, due to the decorative panel mounted onto the door, the use of control panel on the dishwasher becomes impossible. Therefore, in the built-in dishwashers the control elements which enable the user to select the washing parameters and to be informed are moved to the upper surface of the door. However, the user cannot know at what stage the program is while away from the dishwasher or without opening the door, nor cannot recognize the start or end of a program. This causes difficulty of use.
  • In the state of the art European Patent Document No. EP1586632 , a dishwasher enabling the program information to be reflected onto the floor by means of light is disclosed. Further, the state of the art document DE 39 30 578 discloses a dishwasher with a trough for overflow during operation, and the state of the art document WO 2006/013009 discloses a household appliance, such as a dishwasher, comprising a projection device being designed to project operating information on a floor area.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher which provides ease of use.
  • The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is explicated in the first claim with preferred embodiments defined in the respective dependent claims thereof. Such a dishwasher comprises body, a washing tub disposed in the body, and a door. The door prevents the contact of the washing tub with the outer environment. A delivery element is provided under the body. The delivery element extends from the washing tub towards the door. One end of the delivery element extends upwards from the door. Thus, the water overflowing from the washing tub is collected on the delivery element. The other end of the delivery element extends vertically towards under the body. Thus, the overflowing water is delivered to under the body and the safety devices disposed there are triggered.
  • The dishwasher of the present invention comprises an illumination element disposed on the delivery element. The illumination element enables the user to be informed of the washing steps.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises an opening which is arranged on the delivery element and which receives the illumination element. Thus, the light emitted by the illumination element can be seen by the user.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises at least one cable which supplies electrical energy to the illumination element. A cable channel wherein the cable is placed is provided on the delivery element. Thus, the cable is prevented from getting in contact with the water.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a closure element on the delivery element which is positioned so as to align with the illumination element. By means of the closure element, the light emitted by the illumination element is focused at a single region.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a plurality of claws on the delivery element. By means of the claws, the cable and the illumination element are kept fixed on the delivery element and prevented from getting in contact with the water.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a control unit which enables the illumination element to emit light or not to emit light depending on the steps of the washing program. The illumination element emits light until the end of the washing program.
  • By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, which informs the user by reflecting light onto the floor.
  • The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where,

  • The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein the washing process is performed; a door (4) which interrupts the contact of the washing tub (3) with the outer environment; and a delivery element (5) which is disposed under the body (2), one end thereof rising in an inclined manner from under the washing tub (3) towards the door (4) so as to collect the water overflowing from the washing tub (3) during the washing process and the other end thereof extending vertically towards under the body (2) so as to deliver the collected water towards under the body (2). By means of the delivery element (5), the water overflowing from the washing tub (3) during the washing process is collected on the delivery element (5) and then delivered towards under the body (2). The water delivered towards under the body (2) enables the safety devices under the body (2) to be triggered. Thus, the user is warned and the dishwasher (1) is prevented from getting damaged.
  • The dishwasher (1) of the present invention comprises at least one illumination element (6) which is disposed on the delivery element (5) and which emits light outside the body (2) depending on the steps of the washing program. The illumination element (6) is positioned on the delivery element (5). Thus, the illumination element (6) is positioned at a region close to the floor, and the light can be emitted onto the floor without getting scattered. By means of the light emitted onto the floor by the illumination element (6), the user is informed of the steps of the washing program.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises an opening (7) which is arranged on the delivery element (5) and which receives the illumination element (6). By means of the opening (7), the light emitted by the illumination element (6) is delivered to a level which can be seen by the user.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a cable channel (9) which is arranged on the delivery element (5) and which receives at least one cable (8) providing the transmission of electrical energy to the illumination element (6). The electrical energy is supplied to the illumination element (6) by means of the cable (8). The cable (8) extends on the delivery element (5) by means of the cable channel (9). By means of the cable channel (9), the cable (8) is prevented from getting in contact with water.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a closure element (10) which is positioned so as to cover the illumination element (6) and which enables the light emitted by the illumination element (6) to be gathered. The closure element (10) covers the illumination element (6) so as to gather the light. Thus, the light is emitted without scattering.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a plurality of claws (11) which are arranged on the delivery element (5) and which keep the illumination element (6) and the cable (8) fixed on the delivery element (5). By means of the claws (11), the cable (8) and the illumination element (6) are kept fixed on the cable channel (9). Thus, possible malfunctions are prevented. Moreover, the safety of the user is ensured.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a control unit (12) which enables the illumination element (6) to be controlled depending on the steps of the washing program. By means of the control unit (12), the light emitted by the illumination element (6) is controlled. The illumination element (6) emits light during the washing program, and the end of the washing program, the light is turned off.
  • By means of the present invention, a dishwasher (1) is realized wherein the information on the steps of the washing program is delivered to the user by means of the illumination element (6). The illumination element (6) is placed onto the delivery element (5) which is located on the body (2). Thus, the illumination element (6) is positioned at a region close to the floor, and the light can be emitted without getting scattered. By emitting light relevant to the steps of the washing program, the user is informed of the steps of the washing program when away from the dishwasher (1). Thus, ease of use is provided.

Claims (5)

  1. A dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); a washing tub (3) which is disposed in the body (2) and wherein a washing process is performed; a door (4) which interrupts the contact of the washing tub (3) with the outer environment; and a delivery element (5) which is disposed under the body (2) and which collects the water overflowing from the washing tub (3), characterized by the dishwasher (1) further comprising at least one illumination element (6) which is disposed on the delivery element (5) and which is configured to emit light outside the body (2) depending on the steps of a washing program.
  2. A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 1, characterized by the dishwasher (1) further comprising an opening (7) which is arranged on the delivery element (5) and which receives the illumination element (6).
  3. A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized by the dishwasher (1) further comprising a cable channel (9) which is arranged on the delivery element (5) and which receives at least one cable (8) providing the transmission of electrical energy to the illumination element (6).
  4. A dishwasher (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the dishwasher (1) further comprising a closure element (10) which is positioned on the delivery element (5) so as to cover the illumination element (6) and which enables the light emitted by the illumination element (6) to be gathered.
  5. A dishwasher (1) as in Claim 3, or Claim 4 when depending on Claim 3, characterized by the dishwasher (1) further comprising a plurality of claws (11) which are arranged on the delivery element (5) and which keep the illumination element (6) and the cable (8) fixed on the delivery element (5).
