Claims (9)

  1. A chair comprising a chair base (1) on which a seat (2) and a backrest (3) connected to the seat (2) via a synchronizing mechanism are movably mounted, wherein a spring (4), that presses the seat (2) into a base position of the chair and a counter-bearing (5) mounted rotatably on the chair base (1), are provided, wherein the counter-bearing (5) is configured to cooperate on the one hand with a connecting element (7) connected to a front edge of the seat (2) and on the other with one end of the spring (4), wherein the connecting element (7) cooperating with the counter-bearing (5) is configured to be guided in a longitudinal guide (8) and is arranged in the base position of the seat in a highest position of the longitudinal guide (8), wherein a pivot bearing (15) is provided for fastening the counter-bearing (5) on the chair base (1),
    characterized in that
    the pivot bearing (15) is arranged at one end of the counter-bearing (5) and the connecting element (7) is configured to act at the other end of the counter-bearing (5).
  2. The chair according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
    the longitudinal guide (8) for the connecting element (7) in the upright position of the chair is configured to slope downwards when viewed from a front edge of the seat (2) in the direction of the backrest (3).
