- the outlet line disconnector (91) disconnects the waste breaking unit (31) from the waste outlet (621).
- This aspect allows the toilet body (4) to be moved with respect to the pedestal (2) after the water supply unit (32) has been disconnected from the toilet body (4) by the inlet line disconnector (81) and after the waste breaking unit (31) has been disconnected from the toilet body (4) by the outlet line disconnector (91). At this time, the water supply unit (32) and the waste breaking unit (31) may be left attached to the pedestal (2), thus allowing a maintenance person to move the toilet body (4) easily. This facilitates the maintenance, for example, of the water supply unit (32) or the waste breaking unit (31).
- a rear cover (7) to cover the rear opening plane (56) and hold the waste outlet line (9) and the water inlet line (8) is attached to the pedestal (2).

legs 53 are provided to stand up one to one from the rear ends of thebase 51. The pair oflegs 53 are spaced apart from each other in the rightward/leftward direction and the respective rear edges, facing each other, of the pair oflegs 53 form an opening. In other words, theframe 5 has arear opening plane 56 that faces backward and has an opening space. Therear opening plane 56 is flush with rear surfaces of thelegs 53 and is parallel to a vertical plane in this embodiment. In this embodiment, thebase 51 is open backward and is provided neither a reinforcing member that bridges the respective rear ends of the base 51 nor a reinforcing member that bridges the respective lower ends of the pair oflegs 53. This allows the respective opening spaces of therear opening plane 56 and thelower opening plane 55 to communicate with each other. - The respective supporting
portions 54 connect thestandup portion 52 to thelegs 53. The respective supportingportions 54 are formed in a generally crank shape in a plan view. In this embodiment, the pair of supportingportions 54 are linked together with alink member 57. - The resin molded
member 6 is a member that forms the shell of thetoilet body 4 and is supported by theframe 5. In this embodiment, the resin moldedmember 6 includes arim 61, thebowl 62, a water inlet nozzle 63 (seeFIG 6 ), theskirt 64 that supports thebowl 62, a pair of side covers 65, arear cover 66, and awaste trap 67 as shown inFIG. 2 . - The
rim 61 is attached to the upper end of thebowl 62. Therim 61 is formed in an annular shape in a plan view. The upper end face of therim 61 is a flat surface, on which atoilet seat 13 is placed as shown inFIG 1 . Thetoilet seat 13 and alid 14 are mounted to therear cover 66 to be rotatable around a shaft that is parallel to the rightward/leftward direction. - The
bowl 62 receives the wastes discharged by the user and drains the wastes through the waste outlet 621 (seeFIG 6 ). Thebowl 62 has an opening plane on the upper surface thereof and is formed in a cup shape. A cylindrical portion that opens backward is provided at the lower end of thebowl 62. The rear end of the cylindrical portion is thewaste outlet 621. - The
water inlet nozzle 63 supplies water into thebowl 62. Thewater inlet nozzle 63 is connected to thewater supply unit 32 through the water inlet line 8. The tip surface of thewater inlet nozzle 63 defines thewater inlet 631, through which water runs out. In other words, thewater inlet 631 supplies water into thebowl 62. - The
skirt 64 supports thebowl 62 thereon. As shown inFIG 2 , theskirt 64 is formed to have a generally U-horizontal cross section. On the inner peripheral surface of theskirt 64, provided are a plurality oflongitudinal ribs 641. At a level somewhat lower than the upper end of theskirt 64, thebowl 62 is supported by thelongitudinal ribs 641 such that therim 61 is attached to the upper end of theskirt 64. Therim 61 and theskirt 64 are integrated together by welding. - When the user seats him- or herself on the
toilet seat 13, load is applied downward via therim 61. However, the load is received by thelongitudinal ribs 641 of theskirt 64. The rear and lower ends of theskirt 64 are fixed to theframe 5, thus allowing the load from therim 61 to be received effectively. - The pair of side covers 65 are attached removably to the
frame 5. The side covers 65 cover thecoupling portions 511. Thus, removing the side covers 65 from theframe 5 causes thecoupling portions 511 to be exposed as shown inFIG 7A . This allows the user or a maintenance person to remove theframe 5 from thepedestal 2 easily simply by removing the side covers 65 from theframe 5. - The
rear cover 66 is attached to the supportingportions 54 of theframe 5. Therear cover 66 forms an upper part of the rear end portion of thetoilet device 1. In this embodiment, therear cover 66 houses abackflow check structure 661 as shown inFIG 6 . Thebackflow check structure 661 is provided halfway through the water inlet line 8. - The
waste trap 67 forms water seal in thebowl 62. Thewater seal 622 is water that is stored in thebowl 62 to prevent unpleasant odor from flowing back from the drainpipe and also prevent sanitary insects from attempting to enter thebowl 62 in the toilet room. Thewaste trap 67 is attached to thewaste outlet 621 of thebowl 62. In this embodiment, thewaste trap 67 is a so-called "S-trap." Thewaste trap 67 is provided halfway through thewaste outlet line 9. In other words, thewaste trap 67 is connected to thewaste breaking unit 31 through thewaste outlet line 9. - The
rear cover 7 is attached to the rear end of thepedestal 2. Therear cover 7 covers therear opening plane 56 of theframe 5. Therear cover 7 is not fixed to theframe 5. Thus, even when theframe 5 is removed from thepedestal 2, therear cover 7 is still attached to thepedestal 2. Therear cover 7 is located backward of thetoilet body 4. As shown inFIG 2 , therear cover 7 includes a holdingportion 71 for holding at least a part of apipe 10 that form thewaste outlet line 9. Optionally, the holdingportion 71 may hold at least a part of atube 10 that forms the water inlet line 8. In other words, therear cover 7 may hold either thewaste outlet line 9 or the water inlet line 8, whichever is appropriate. - The water inlet line 8 is a passage that connects the
inlet line connector 12 to thewater inlet 631 as shown inFIG 6 . The water inlet line 8 is provided with thewater supply unit 32. On the water inlet line 8, aninlet line disconnector 81 is provided between thewater supply unit 32 and the water inlet 631 (more specifically, between thewater supply unit 32 and the backflow check structure 661). - The
inlet line disconnector 81 is provided for the water inlet line 8 to disconnect thewater supply unit 32 from thewater inlet 631. In this embodiment, theinlet line disconnector 81 is a joint fixed to thetoilet body 4. Thetube 10 connected between the joint and thewater supply unit 32 is removable with respect to the joint. - In this embodiment, the
inlet line disconnector 81 is implemented as a joint. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, theinlet line disconnector 81 may also be implemented as a socket, a coupling joint, or a one-touch joint that allows the user to remove thetube 10 by single operation. In this embodiment, theinlet line disconnector 81 is fixed to thetoilet body 4. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, theinlet line disconnector 81 may also be configured such that thetube 10 is removable from thewater supply unit 32 or that thetube 10 is separable halfway. - The
tube 10 may be implemented as a tube with bendability, a hose with flexibility, vulcanite, or a flexible tube made of a metallic material, for example. - The
waste outlet line 9 is a passage that connects theoutlet line connector 11 to thewaste outlet 621 as described above. Thewaste outlet line 9 is provided with thewaste breaking unit 31. On thewaste outlet line 9, anoutlet line disconnector 91 is provided between thewaste breaking unit 31 and the waste outlet 621 (more specifically, between thewaste breaking unit 31 and the waste trap 67). - The
outlet line disconnector 91 is provided for thewaste outlet line 9 to disconnect thewaste breaking unit 31 from thewaste outlet 621. In this embodiment, theoutlet line disconnector 91 is implemented as a joint fixed to thewaste breaking unit 31. The joint and thewaste trap 67 are attached to be removable from each other. - In this embodiment, the
outlet line disconnector 91 is implemented as a joint. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, theoutlet line disconnector 91 may also be implemented as a socket, a coupling joint, or a one-touch joint that allows the user to remove thetube 10 by single operation. In this embodiment, theoutlet line disconnector 91 is fixed to thewaste breaking unit 31. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, thetube 10 may be provided between thewaste breaking unit 31 and thewaste trap 67 such that theoutlet line disconnector 91 is separable halfway on thetube 10. - When the
toilet device 1 with the configuration described above is subjected to maintenance, for example, thetoilet body 4 may be removed from thepedestal 2 in the following manner. First, as shown inFIG 7A , the user or a maintenance person (hereinafter referred to as the "user" for convenience sake) removes the side covers 65 from theframe 5. Then, thecoupling portions 511, theinlet line disconnector 81, and theoutlet line disconnector 91 are exposed. The user removes the fixing members that connect thepedestal 2 to thecoupling portions 511, i.e., the fixing members that couple thepedestal 2 to thebase 51 of theframe 5. In addition, the user disconnects thewater supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 from thetoilet body 4 by operating theinlet line disconnector 81 and theoutlet line disconnector 91. Note that in this state, the lower end portion at the front end of thetoilet body 4 is still caught on the catchingmembers 27 of thepedestal 2. In addition, in this state, thewater supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 are located over thelower opening plane 55 and forward of therear opening plane 56. As used herein, when thewater supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 are located "over" thelower opening plane 55, thewater supply unit 32 or thewaste breaking unit 31 may overlap with thelower opening plane 55. Also, as used herein, when thewater supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 are located "forward of" therear opening plane 56, thewater supply unit 32 or thewaste breaking unit 31 may overlap with therear opening plane 56. - Next, the user moves the
toilet body 4 forward with respect to thepedestal 2 as shown inFIG 7B . This brings the lower end portion at the front end of thetoilet body 4 out of engagement with the catchingmembers 27, thus making thetoilet body 4 movable upward. Theframe 5 has therear opening plane 56. Thus, even if theunits 31 are kept attached to thepedestal 2, thetoilet body 4 is still movable with respect to thepedestal 2. - In this state, the user moves the
toilet body 4 upward. In theframe 5, the opening space of therear opening plane 56 communicates with the opening space of thelower opening plane 55. This allows the user to move thetoilet body 4 forward and upward with respect to thepedestal 2. - Removing the
toilet body 4 from over thepedestal 2 facilitates maintenance of theunits 3. In addition, thepedestal 2 has thebottom plate 21, and therefore, is able to receive water leaking out from theinlet line disconnector 81 or theoutlet line disconnector 91 as well as water leaking when theunits 3 are subjected to maintenance upside down. Thus, thetoilet device 1 according to this embodiment allows the user to do maintenance of theunits 3 more easily. - Note that the embodiment described above is only an exemplary one of various embodiments of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Next, variations of the exemplary embodiment will be enumerated one after another.
- In the
toilet device 1 according to the embodiment described above, the shutoff valve fixed to thewall 101 of the toilet room and serving as thewater inlet member 102 and theinlet line connector 12 are connected together through the inlet line. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, the plumbing extended from the water supply source may be directly connected to theinlet line connector 12 of thetoilet device 1. - Furthermore, in the embodiment described above, the
water supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 are both attached to thebottom plate 21. Alternatively, one of thewater supply unit 32 or thewaste breaking unit 31 may be attached to thebottom plate 21 and the other may be attached to a crosspiece bridging the outerperipheral portion 22. Still alternatively, both thewater supply unit 32 and thewaste breaking unit 31 may be attached to a crosspiece bridging the outerperipheral portion 22. That is to say, theunits 3 do not have to be attached to thebottom plate 21. - In the embodiment described above, the water supplied into the
bowl 62 is tap water. However, this is only an example of the present disclosure and should not be construed as limiting. Alternatively, the water supplied into thebowl 62 may also be water to which a detergent has been added halfway through the water inlet line 8. - As can be seen from the foregoing description, a toilet device (1) according to a first aspect includes: a pedestal (2) to be mounted on an installation surface (100), unit(s) (3) being attached to the pedestal (2); and a toilet body (4) to be set on the pedestal (2). The toilet body (4) includes: a frame (5) made of a metallic material; and a resin molded member (6) attached to, and supported by, the frame (5). The frame (5) has: a lower opening plane (55) facing downward toward the pedestal (2); and a rear opening plane (56) facing backward and having an opening space communicating with an opening space of the lower opening plane (55).
- This aspect reduces, even when the toilet body (4) is moved forward or upward with respect to the pedestal (2), the chances of the unit(s) (3) passing through the respective opening spaces, communicating with each other, of the lower opening plane (55) and the rear opening plane (56) interfering with the frame (5). This allows the maintenance person to move the toilet body (4) easily with the unit(s) (3) left on the
pedestal 2, thus facilitating the maintenance, for example, of the respective unit(s) (3). - In a toilet device (1) according to a second aspect, which may be implemented in conjunction with the first aspect, the toilet body (4) is attached removably to the pedestal (2).
- This aspect eliminates the need to attach the toilet body (4) directly to the installation surface (100) when mounting the toilet device (1) onto the installation surface (100).
- In a toilet device (1) according to a third aspect, which may be implemented in conjunction with the first or second aspect, the resin molded member (6) includes a bowl (62) to receive wastes and drain the wastes through a waste outlet (621) and a water inlet (631) to supply water into the bowl (62). The resin molded member (6) includes an inlet line disconnector (81) and an outlet line disconnector (91). The unit(s) (3) include(s) a water supply unit (32) and a waste breaking unit (31). The water supply unit (32) is attached to the pedestal (2) and connected to the water inlet (631) through a water inlet line (8). The water supply unit (32) selectively provides or stops supply of water to the water inlet (631). The waste breaking unit (31) is attached to the pedestal (2) and connected to the waste outlet (621) through a waste outlet line (9). The waste breaking unit (31) breaks, into pieces, the wastes drained through the waste outlet (621). The inlet line disconnector (81) disconnects the water supply unit (32) from the water inlet (631). The outlet line disconnector (91) disconnects the waste breaking unit (31) from the waste outlet (621).
- In a toilet device (1) according to a fourth aspect, which may be implemented in conjunction with the third aspect, a rear cover (7) to cover the rear opening plane (56) and hold the waste outlet line (9) and the water inlet line (8) is attached to the pedestal (2).
- This aspect allows the toilet body (4) to be moved with respect to the pedestal (2) with the water inlet line (8) and the waste outlet line (9) kept in their predetermined positions.
- In a toilet device (1) according to a fifth aspect, which may be implemented in conjunction with any one of the first to fourth aspects, the pedestal (2) includes a bottom plate (21) which faces the installation surface (100) and to which the unit(s) (3) is/are attached.
- This aspect allows, even when water drips from at least one of the water supply unit (32) or the waste breaking unit (31) during maintenance, for example, the water to be received at the bottom plate (21), thus reducing the chances of the water overflowing onto the installation surface (100).
