Definitions

  • the invention provides a multilayer door leaf with a high acoustic insulating power.
  • External entrance door constitute a barrier that separates the interior of a housing from the conditions outside. It protects the building against ingression of unauthorized persons and also against impact of cold, moisture and noise. More and more strict requirements concerning acoustic insulation are imposed on entrance door, also door that separate the individual rooms within a building. In order to meet these requirements it is not sufficient to fit precisely the door leaf to the door frame. Door leaf also has to show a higher acoustic insulating power than before.
  • polish utility model PL56180B1 a steel door is known that comprise an outer panel and an inner panel connected in grooves that are present on the periphery of the panels.
  • the space between the panels is filled with mineral wool.
  • a door leaf is known with a supporting structure with a two-side metal sheet sheathing where the inner space is filled with a heat-insulating material.
  • the supporting structure of the door leaf has a form of a wooden framework composed of vertical beams, an upper beam and a lower beam, and horizontal struts.
  • a fire door that comprises steel jackets, i.e. a rebate jacket and a notch one, coupled at the peripheral bends by sliding thereof, and a refractory material packing within the inner space between the jackets, as well as wooden reinforcements for the leaf at the side of the locks and in its upper side, wooden lock cases and wooden hinge reinforcements, characterized in that directly under the steel rebate and notch jackets it has refractory panels of dimensions equal to the ones of the width and heights of the door leaf.
  • a soundproof door is known with a multilayer core which has alternately arranged soft and hard layers.
  • a soft soundproof layer may be used as a panel of mineral wool, a panel of ceramic wool, a panel of phenol foam, a panel of glass fibre, a panel of polyurethane foam with closed cells, a panel of polyurethane foam with open cells, a panel of expanded polystyrene foam or a panel of polyethylene foam.
  • a hard soundproof layer may be made as a wooden panel, iron panel, calcium silicate panel, gypsum panel, magnesium oxide panel, silicate/magnesium panel, composite panel of glass fibre or a composite ceramic panel.
  • WO2014031377A1 discloses a door construction with two outer damping layers where each outer damping later has a basic surface and a damping surface, and an inner layer comprises at least two chambers, where the damping layers are deformable.
  • the outer layer can comprise a fibrous material, for example from polystyrene fibres, glass fibres, mineral wool, aramid nonwoven material, ceramic fibrous mats, nonwoven mats, glass fibre, polystyrene or polyurethane.
  • Cida document CN206860038U discloses soundproof door for a recording studio chamber.
  • a door panel is filled with mineral wool that absorbs sound and with a soft foam layer glued to the inner surface of the door panel surface.
  • the door panel may be made of a steel plate.
  • Polish patent application P.404373 discloses a door, in particular, with enhanced acoustic insulating power, composed of a plurality layers, including wool layers, and of a metal sheet slid thereon from outside. Between the wool layers a damping-insulating layer is positioned in a form of a cellulosic product, i.e. a plate of paperboard or corrugated board, where at least one of the wool layers, preferably both, are connected pointwise by means of an adhesive to the damping-insulating layer in at least 3 points, preferably 8 to 18 points, corresponding to the glued surface of the door.
  • a cellulosic product i.e. a plate of paperboard or corrugated board
  • Patent document EP2876244 shows a method for the preparation of a fire door panel with an enhanced acoustic insulating power, comprising the following steps: applying adhesive onto a corrugated board panel, preferably a polyurethane adhesive, at points regularly spaced apart, not linearly and not in a plane, preferably from 8 to 18 points per surface of the corrugated board panel, and coupling the corrugated board panel with a mineral wool layer.
  • the element so prepared is turned, and onto the other side of the corrugated board panel a polyurethane adhesive is applied spaced apart regularly pointwise, not linearly and not in a plane, preferably from 8 to 18 points. Then the corrugated board panel is press-coupled with a mineral wool layer.
  • the sandwich structure so prepared is used as an inner panel of a door leaf in a standard manufacturing process.
  • a manufactured steel notch form of the leaf an adhesive is applied, a glued wooden rail is inserted, and a sandwich structure is inserted.
  • a steel rebate mat is applied to close the construction of the leaf.
  • the manufactured door panel is put into a thermal press for minimum 7 minutes.
  • the purpose of the invention is to provide a multilayer door panel with an acoustic insulating power to meet the acoustic insulating power norm PN-EN ISO 10140-2:2011, i.e. with a higher acoustic insulating power than any so-far known door leaf, while maintaining a low manufacturing cost.
  • a multilayer door leaf has outer layers made of a metal sheet. Between the outer layers a damping-insulating layer 4 is arranged.
  • the multilayer door leaf is characterized in that the damping-insulating layer is made of mineral wool and is positioned between two expanded polystyrene foam layers.
  • the damping-insulating mineral wool layer has a thickness of 38 mm and each expanded polystyrene foam layer has a thickness of 10 mm.
  • damping-insulating layer made of mineral wool is coupled by means of an adhesive with one of the adjacent expanded polystyrene foam layers.
  • the damping-insulating layer of mineral wool is coupled by means of an adhesive with the adjacent expanded polystyrene foam layers.
  • the expanded polystyrene foam layer is coupled by means of an adhesive with the adjacent outer layer.
  • the outer layers are made of a steel sheet of a thickness of from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm.
  • the outer layers are made of a galvanized steel sheet.
  • the outer layers are made of a steel sheet coated with decorative film.
  • the borders of the outer layers at the lateral sides and at the top of the door leaf are seamed by means of an adhesive and the bottom of the door leaf is closed with a steel closing strip.
  • fig. 1 shows a multilayer door leaf in a perspective view
  • fig. 2 shows layers present in a door leaf, in a cross-section through the door leaf.
  • a multilayer door leaf 1 has two outer layers 2 made of metal sheet. Between the outer layers 2 there are provided two expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 adjacent from the inside of the door leaf 1 to the outer layers 2. Between the expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 a damping-insulating layer 4 is arranged made of mineral wool, adjacent the expanded polystyrene foam layers 3.
  • Each expanded polystyrene foam layer 3, in this embodiment, has a thickness of 10 mm, and the damping-insulating layer 4 of mineral wool has a thickness of 38 mm, but it is of course possible to make a multilayer door leaf 1 according to the invention in which the expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 and the damping-insulating layer 4 have another thicknesses.
  • Damping-insulating layer 4 of mineral wool in this embodiment, is coupled by means of an adhesive with two adjacent expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 and the expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 are coupled by means of an adhesive with the adjacent outer layers 2, but of course it is possible to make a multilayer door leaf 1 in which a damping-insulating layer 4 and expanded polystyrene foam layers 3 would be coupled with each other by some other known method or only some of them would be coupled or they would not be coupled.
  • Outer layers 2, in this embodiment, are made of a steel sheet of a thickness of 0.7 mm.
  • the thickness of the outer layers is from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm, but it is of course possible to make outer layers 2 in a multilayer door leaf 1 according to the invention from a metal sheet of another thickness.
  • Outer layers 2, in this embodiment, are made of galvanized steel sheet. In other embodiments outer layers 2 may be made of a steel sheet coated with a decorative film.
  • Borders of the outer layers 2 at the lateral sides and at the top of the door leaf 1 are seamed by means of an adhesive and the bottom of the door leaf 1 is closed by a steel closing strip, known from the prior art (not shown).
  • a door leaf 1 so manufactured was subject sound damping tests. As the tests show, multilayer door leaves 1 according to the invention have high noise damping parameters (going beyond the requirements of the norm PN-EN ISO 10140-2:2011, and thus they damp noise better than it is required under this norm). Such multilayer door leaves 1 are applicable in entrance doors in buildings as well as in doors that separate the individual rooms within a building. At the same time, the cost of manufacturing a multilayer door leaf 1, according to the invention, is low. For the above reasons, multilayer door leaf 1 according to the invention is very competitive among the door manufacturing industry products in the market.
