Definitions
- the present invention relates to a warning device with a housing in which means for outputting an optical warning light visible from outside the housing and means for outputting an acoustic warning signal that can be perceived at a distance from the housing are arranged.
- the acoustic warning signal for emergency vehicles is usually generated by a so-called follow-up horn.
- the following tone horn is called a special signaling system in Germany and is used in the authorized (emergency) vehicles of certain authorities and organizations with security tasks, also for aid organizations. Often the designation of the horn or siren is also used. In Germany, the execution of the following tone horn is regulated by DIN 14610.
- the optical warning light for emergency vehicles is preferably generated by a so-called rotating beacon.
- a rotating beacon also known as a rotating beacon, is a beacon or warning light that emits light over a range of 360 °.
- the best known are rotating mirror lights that emit a circumferential cone of light. More recently, (multiple) flashing lights are often used instead of rotating mirror lights. With these, there is less wear and tear as there are no moving parts. They are also easier to see during the day thanks to their short, high luminous flux.
- the rotating beacon is combined with the secondary horn as a special signal that signals the right of way of the emergency vehicle to other road users.
- Rotating beacons usually emit light in one of the colors blue, yellow, red. But you can also emit light of other colors, e.g. white or green.
- the special signals, rotating beacon and secondary tone horn are usually designed as two separate devices that are spatially separated from one another. They are relatively large in order to meet the requirements for brightness and volume when used in emergency vehicles.
- the devices are firmly attached to the emergency vehicle and form an integral part of the emergency vehicle (e.g. actuation switches for the signal system are on the dashboard of the emergency vehicle). They are designed for outdoor use and therefore generate a very bright / intense optical warning light or a very loud acoustic warning signal.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of creating a possibility for emergency services who make their way through a crowd of people to a place of use on foot to signal their right of way to other people.
- a warning device having the features of claim 1 is proposed.
- the warning device comprise means on the outside of the housing for releasably fastening the device to a person's clothing.
- the persons to whose clothing the warning device can be attached are preferably emergency services (e.g. police, fire brigade, emergency doctor, etc.).
- the warning device can be attached to the emergency services' shoes, trousers, belt, jacket, overall, hat or helmet.
- the warning device is a self-sufficient device that can be attached to the clothing of emergency services.
- the warning device can be operated without any connection to external devices or facilities.
- the warning device preferably has an integrated energy source in order to supply the components of the warning device with electrical energy for a predetermined period of time (e.g. several hours). Since the warning device is only switched on when necessary, a warning device can easily be attached to the person's clothing for a whole day and switched on when necessary.
- the type of optical warning light and the acoustic warning signal is preferably adjustable. This can be done via a remote control, for example a corresponding application (software) that runs on the person's smartphone, or via a computer program that runs on a computer (computer) of the person or an operational command.
- the connection between the remote control and the warning device can be wired or wireless (for example via radio).
- the warning device preferably has a suitable electrical socket, for example one USB interface.
- the warning device preferably has a suitable transmitting / receiving device (so-called transceiver) and a suitable radio module (for example Bluetooth, Zigbee, WLAN, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, or the like).
- the setting of the type of optical warning light and the acoustic warning signal can, however, also take place via manually operable actuating means which are arranged on the housing of the warning device and are accessible from the outside.
- the actuation means are designed, for example, as buttons and / or rotary switches.
- the housing of the warning device has a cylindrical shape, the rotary switch on the front side can extend along the entire outer edge of the housing.
- the warning device can be switched on and off by turning the rotary switch or by pressing one of the buttons, the output of an optical warning light can be activated / deactivated, the output of an acoustic warning signal can be activated / deactivated, the brightness, the frequency and possibly the Color of the optical warning light, the volume, the frequency and possibly the tone sequence of the acoustic warning signal can be set.
- a rotary switch has the advantage that it can be operated safely and reliably even with gloves and / or clammy and cold hands.
- a voice signal can also be output as a warning signal.
- the voice signal can be recorded and stored beforehand, or it can be played back live, for example in the manner of a megaphone.
- the means for outputting the optical warning light include at least one transparent housing section.
- the means for outputting the optical warning light preferably comprise a controllable light source, in particular in the form of at least one semiconductor light source, very particularly preferably in the form of at least one light-emitting diode which, depending on the control, emits light of a certain intensity or not.
- the means for outputting the optical warning light can be implemented in the form of an LED warning light.
- the controllable light source is advantageously arranged in the interior of the housing and sends the warning light to the outside through the transparent housing section. In this way, the housing can be designed to be splash-proof, in particular moisture-proof.
- the controllable light source itself or the controllable light source in cooperation with an optical filter element through which at least a part of the light emitted by the light source passes and which can be arranged in at least one transparent housing section, the optical Emits warning light in a color other than white.
- one or more LEDs can be used that emit light in a color other than white (e.g. blue, yellow, red).
- the LEDs can be designed as RGB LEDs so that the color of the emitted light can be set by suitable control.
- the transparent housing section is then preferably colorless.
- the transparent housing section can also be colored (e.g. blue, yellow, red) so that the light passing through is colored.
- one or more LEDs can be used that emit white light that is converted into colored (e.g. blue) light when it passes through a transparent housing section that is colored (e.g. blue) and which forms the optical filter element.
- the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal include at least one sound-permeable housing section, in particular in the form of several housing openings.
- the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal preferably comprise a controllable sound source, in particular in the form of a tone generator with a programmable processor, a vibration generator and a membrane that can be set into vibration by the vibration generator.
- the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal can be implemented in the form of a loudspeaker or a piezo actuator.
- the controllable sound source is advantageously arranged inside the housing and sends the warning signal to the outside through the housing openings.
- the housing openings can be sealed by means of a film, so that the housing can be configured to be splash-proof, in particular moisture-proof.
- the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal are preferably designed to output a subsequent tone in accordance with DIN 14610.
- This has the advantage that such an acoustic warning signal has a high recognition value and is immediately and immediately associated with emergency services by other people on the way to a deployment site and with the emergency services' right of way.
- the volume of the acoustic warning signal emitted by the warning device is lower than in emergency vehicles, in order to prevent damage to the hearing of the person wearing the warning device and of bystanders.
- the volume is a maximum of 100 dB, particularly preferably a maximum of 85 dB, measured at a distance of 7 m. In practice, in large crowds, a maximum volume of 70 dB is usually sufficient, even with relatively loud ambient noises.
- the means for fastening the device to a person's clothing comprise a spring clip for releasably fastening the device to a bag, a loop or a belt of the person's clothing.
- the spring clip is fastened with its proximal end on the outside of the housing and has at least in sections a surface extension parallel to a rear surface of the housing which, when the warning device is worn, is directed towards the person wearing the warning device.
- the spring clip is made of a flexible, elastic material (e.g. plastic) so that the distal end of the spring clip can be lifted from the housing at right angles to the surface extension of the rear surface of the housing.
- the spring force of the spring clamp presses it against the rear surface of the housing in the normal state.
- a pocket, loop, tab or belt can be clamped between the spring clip and the rear wall of the housing.
- a safety device for example in the form of one or more barbs, which prevents the spring clip from being inadvertently detached from the clothing of the person to whom the warning device is attached.
- a battery or an accumulator be arranged as an energy source in or on the outside of the housing of the warning device provides a power supply for the electrical and electronic components of the warning device.
- An internal battery can, for example, be replaced by a lockable maintenance flap in the housing.
- An internal accumulator can, for example, be charged inductively or by means of a line which can be connected to a suitable socket, for example a USB interface, of the warning device.
- An external battery or an external accumulator is, for example, detachably attached to the outside of the housing (for example by means of a bayonet lock) and electrically contacted. It can be quickly and easily exchanged for a charged battery or rechargeable battery.
- controllable light source and the controllable sound source are implemented in semiconductor technology on a common circuit board, the controllable light source being at least one semiconductor light source, in particular at least one LED, and the vibration generator and the membrane being part of an electroacoustic sound transducer , in particular in the form of a piezo actuator.
- a warning device configured in this way can be implemented in a particularly compact and lightweight manner. The energy consumption of the semiconductor components is particularly low, so that the warning device can be used for a long time.
- the warning device is robust and reliable, even in rough use, when emergency services are on foot in large gatherings of people, are involved in scuffles.
- the warning device have a programmable processor for controlling the means for outputting the optical warning light and / or the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal.

Description
The present invention relates to a warning device with a housing in which means for outputting an optical warning light visible from outside the housing and means for outputting an acoustic warning signal that can be perceived at a distance from the housing are arranged.
From the prior art, it is known for emergency vehicles of the police, the fire brigade or an emergency doctor that they can be better perceived by other road users thanks to an optical warning light and an acoustic warning signal, so that the other road users can give the emergency vehicles a free run. The acoustic warning signal for emergency vehicles is usually generated by a so-called follow-up horn. The following tone horn is called a special signaling system in Germany and is used in the authorized (emergency) vehicles of certain authorities and organizations with security tasks, also for aid organizations. Often the designation of the horn or siren is also used. In Germany, the execution of the following tone horn is regulated by DIN 14610.
The optical warning light for emergency vehicles is preferably generated by a so-called rotating beacon. A rotating beacon, also known as a rotating beacon, is a beacon or warning light that emits light over a range of 360 °. The best known are rotating mirror lights that emit a circumferential cone of light. More recently, (multiple) flashing lights are often used instead of rotating mirror lights. With these, there is less wear and tear as there are no moving parts. They are also easier to see during the day thanks to their short, high luminous flux. In Germany, the rotating beacon is combined with the secondary horn as a special signal that signals the right of way of the emergency vehicle to other road users. Rotating beacons usually emit light in one of the colors blue, yellow, red. But you can also emit light of other colors, e.g. white or green.
In emergency vehicles, the special signals, rotating beacon and secondary tone horn are usually designed as two separate devices that are spatially separated from one another. They are relatively large in order to meet the requirements for brightness and volume when used in emergency vehicles. The devices are firmly attached to the emergency vehicle and form an integral part of the emergency vehicle (e.g. actuation switches for the signal system are on the dashboard of the emergency vehicle). They are designed for outdoor use and therefore generate a very bright / intense optical warning light or a very loud acoustic warning signal.
At large events (e.g. a market, folk festival, concert, sporting event, demonstration, etc.) but also in overcrowded pedestrian zones, train stations, bus stops, etc., it is often not possible for the emergency services to reach the site in an emergency vehicle. You have to leave the emergency vehicle and work your way through the crowd to the emergency location. This is sometimes very complex and time-consuming, since the emergency services have practically no possibility of signaling a right of way to the other people in the crowd.
Proceeding from the described prior art, the present invention is therefore based on the object of creating a possibility for emergency services who make their way through a crowd of people to a place of use on foot to signal their right of way to other people.
To solve this problem, a warning device having the features of claim 1 is proposed. In particular, based on the warning device of the type mentioned at the outset, it is proposed that the warning device comprise means on the outside of the housing for releasably fastening the device to a person's clothing.
The persons to whose clothing the warning device can be attached are preferably emergency services (e.g. police, fire brigade, emergency doctor, etc.). The warning device can be attached to the emergency services' shoes, trousers, belt, jacket, overall, hat or helmet. The warning device is a self-sufficient device that can be attached to the clothing of emergency services. The warning device can be operated without any connection to external devices or facilities. In addition to the means for generating the optical warning light and the acoustic warning signal, the warning device preferably has an integrated energy source in order to supply the components of the warning device with electrical energy for a predetermined period of time (e.g. several hours). Since the warning device is only switched on when necessary, a warning device can easily be attached to the person's clothing for a whole day and switched on when necessary.
The type of optical warning light and the acoustic warning signal is preferably adjustable. This can be done via a remote control, for example a corresponding application (software) that runs on the person's smartphone, or via a computer program that runs on a computer (computer) of the person or an operational command. The connection between the remote control and the warning device can be wired or wireless (for example via radio). For a wired connection, the warning device preferably has a suitable electrical socket, for example one USB interface. For a wireless connection, the warning device preferably has a suitable transmitting / receiving device (so-called transceiver) and a suitable radio module (for example Bluetooth, Zigbee, WLAN, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, or the like). The setting of the type of optical warning light and the acoustic warning signal can, however, also take place via manually operable actuating means which are arranged on the housing of the warning device and are accessible from the outside. The actuation means are designed, for example, as buttons and / or rotary switches. For example, if the housing of the warning device has a cylindrical shape, the rotary switch on the front side can extend along the entire outer edge of the housing. The warning device can be switched on and off by turning the rotary switch or by pressing one of the buttons, the output of an optical warning light can be activated / deactivated, the output of an acoustic warning signal can be activated / deactivated, the brightness, the frequency and possibly the Color of the optical warning light, the volume, the frequency and possibly the tone sequence of the acoustic warning signal can be set. A rotary switch has the advantage that it can be operated safely and reliably even with gloves and / or clammy and cold hands. In addition to a tone or a sequence of tones, a voice signal can also be output as a warning signal. The voice signal can be recorded and stored beforehand, or it can be played back live, for example in the manner of a megaphone.
According to an advantageous development of the invention, it is proposed that the means for outputting the optical warning light include at least one transparent housing section. The means for outputting the optical warning light preferably comprise a controllable light source, in particular in the form of at least one semiconductor light source, very particularly preferably in the form of at least one light-emitting diode which, depending on the control, emits light of a certain intensity or not. In this way, the means for outputting the optical warning light can be implemented in the form of an LED warning light. The controllable light source is advantageously arranged in the interior of the housing and sends the warning light to the outside through the transparent housing section. In this way, the housing can be designed to be splash-proof, in particular moisture-proof.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is proposed that the controllable light source itself or the controllable light source in cooperation with an optical filter element through which at least a part of the light emitted by the light source passes and which can be arranged in at least one transparent housing section, the optical Emits warning light in a color other than white. In this context, for example, one or more LEDs can be used that emit light in a color other than white (e.g. blue, yellow, red). The LEDs can be designed as RGB LEDs so that the color of the emitted light can be set by suitable control. The transparent housing section is then preferably colorless. Alternatively, the transparent housing section can also be colored (e.g. blue, yellow, red) so that the light passing through is colored. For example, one or more LEDs can be used that emit white light that is converted into colored (e.g. blue) light when it passes through a transparent housing section that is colored (e.g. blue) and which forms the optical filter element.
According to an advantageous development of the invention, it is proposed that the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal include at least one sound-permeable housing section, in particular in the form of several housing openings. The means for outputting the acoustic warning signal preferably comprise a controllable sound source, in particular in the form of a tone generator with a programmable processor, a vibration generator and a membrane that can be set into vibration by the vibration generator. In this way, the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal can be implemented in the form of a loudspeaker or a piezo actuator. The controllable sound source is advantageously arranged inside the housing and sends the warning signal to the outside through the housing openings. The housing openings can be sealed by means of a film, so that the housing can be configured to be splash-proof, in particular moisture-proof.
100 dB, besonders bevorzugt max. 85 dB, jeweils gemessen in 7 m Entfernung. The means for outputting the acoustic warning signal are preferably designed to output a subsequent tone in accordance with DIN 14610. This has the advantage that such an acoustic warning signal has a high recognition value and is immediately and immediately associated with emergency services by other people on the way to a deployment site and with the emergency services' right of way. However, the volume of the acoustic warning signal emitted by the warning device is lower than in emergency vehicles, in order to prevent damage to the hearing of the person wearing the warning device and of bystanders. The volume is a maximum of 100 dB, particularly preferably a maximum of 85 dB, measured at a distance of 7 m. In practice, in large crowds, a maximum volume of 70 dB is usually sufficient, even with relatively loud ambient noises.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, it is proposed that the means for fastening the device to a person's clothing comprise a spring clip for releasably fastening the device to a bag, a loop or a belt of the person's clothing. The spring clip is fastened with its proximal end on the outside of the housing and has at least in sections a surface extension parallel to a rear surface of the housing which, when the warning device is worn, is directed towards the person wearing the warning device. The spring clip is made of a flexible, elastic material (e.g. plastic) so that the distal end of the spring clip can be lifted from the housing at right angles to the surface extension of the rear surface of the housing. The spring force of the spring clamp presses it against the rear surface of the housing in the normal state. A pocket, loop, tab or belt can be clamped between the spring clip and the rear wall of the housing. At the distal end of the spring clip there is preferably a safety device, for example in the form of one or more barbs, which prevents the spring clip from being inadvertently detached from the clothing of the person to whom the warning device is attached.
Furthermore, it is proposed that a battery or an accumulator be arranged as an energy source in or on the outside of the housing of the warning device provides a power supply for the electrical and electronic components of the warning device. An internal battery can, for example, be replaced by a lockable maintenance flap in the housing. An internal accumulator can, for example, be charged inductively or by means of a line which can be connected to a suitable socket, for example a USB interface, of the warning device. An external battery or an external accumulator is, for example, detachably attached to the outside of the housing (for example by means of a bayonet lock) and electrically contacted. It can be quickly and easily exchanged for a charged battery or rechargeable battery.
According to a preferred development of the invention, it is proposed that the controllable light source and the controllable sound source are implemented in semiconductor technology on a common circuit board, the controllable light source being at least one semiconductor light source, in particular at least one LED, and the vibration generator and the membrane being part of an electroacoustic sound transducer , in particular in the form of a piezo actuator. A warning device configured in this way can be implemented in a particularly compact and lightweight manner. The energy consumption of the semiconductor components is particularly low, so that the warning device can be used for a long time. In addition, the warning device is robust and reliable, even in rough use, when emergency services are on foot in large gatherings of people, are involved in scuffles.
According to another preferred development of the invention, it is proposed that the warning device have a programmable processor for controlling the means for outputting the optical warning light and / or the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal. A control program runs on the processor which fulfills the desired control function. The control program or the processor can also control the charging of an accumulator of the warning device and communication with an external smartphone or computer via a line or via radio.
Finally, according to a preferred embodiment, it is proposed that the warning device have optical status indicators visible from outside the housing, in particular in the form of semiconductor light sources, very particularly preferably in the form of light emitting diodes, which at least temporarily, in particular after actuation of an actuating means of the warning device by a Person, a current status of a battery or an accumulator of the warning device, the means for outputting the optical warning light and / or the means for outputting the acoustic warning signal. The light emitted by the status indicators has a lower intensity than the optical warning light of the warning device. The status indicators can show the current status by means of lights of different colors, flashing lights with different frequencies or in another way.
The warning device according to the invention is not limited to use by emergency services on foot, but can also be used by emergency services who are on a bicycle, a horse or an electrically powered one-person vehicle with two wheels on the same axis, between which the person being transported and that keeps itself in balance thanks to an electronic drive control (so-called Segway® Personal Transporter) who want to get to a place of action through large crowds.

The means 26 for outputting the acoustic warning signal perceptible at a distance from the
The
85 dB.The means 26 for outputting the acoustic warning signal are preferably designed for outputting audio signals and speech signals of any type, in particular a subsequent tone in accordance with DIN 14610. That has the advantage that such a acoustic warning signal has a high recognition value and is immediately and immediately associated with emergency services on the way to an emergency location and with a right of way of the emergency services. Alternatively, the means 26 can also be designed to generate an increasing warning tone. The volume of the acoustic warning signal is preferably lower than in emergency vehicles, in order to prevent hearing damage for the
The
In
Alternatively, the
The
