Definitions
- the invention relates to a housing for an electric hand tool with a main housing part and with a handle firmly connected to the main housing part in a connection area according to the type defined in more detail in the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention further relates to an electric hand tool with such a housing.
- a generic housing for an electric hand tool is known from EN 10 2006 059 348 A1 known.
- the handle is formed onto the housing via a material bridge, whereas in an area spaced apart from this, there is a gap between the housing and the handle.
- the vibrations emanating from the tool or an impact mechanism integrated into the device are dampened or isolated from the handle.
- such vibration damping can be achieved with the device described, but there are very strict limits on the design of the material bridge forming the connection between the handle and the housing, since if the cross-section in this area is too large, the desired vibration damping cannot be achieved.
- a power tool with a housing body in which a handle is movably connected to the main housing part at two spaced-apart connection points.
- the EP 2 119 537 A1 describes a similar hand tool device in which the handle is also connected to the main housing body in an articulated or elastic manner at two points.
- Another power tool is in the EP 2 202 034 A1 described.
- the handle is connected to the main housing part at two articulation points, for which respective vibration damping elements are used.
- the housing according to the invention has a recess in a region between the connecting region and the movement region in which the handle is spaced from the main housing part, whereby the housing can deform and the vibrations introduced into the handle via the connecting region can be converted into a relative movement between the handle and the main housing part. In this way, a decoupling of the handle from a tool connected to the electric hand tool is achieved.
- a damping element which has greater elasticity than the material of the main housing part is inserted into the recess. This damping element can be used when the handle moves relative to the main housing part be deformed so that it does not hinder the desired movements that serve to reduce or dampen vibrations.
- a further advantage of the solution according to the invention is that no additional installation space is required, since the damping element in principle forms part of the main housing part and thus of the entire housing.
- the recess is arranged on the diametrically opposite side of the movement area. In this way, the best possible freedom of movement for the movement of the handle relative to the main housing part in the movement area is achieved.
- the damping element consists of an elastomer, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer, this results in a particularly good elasticity, which results in very good mobility of the handle in the area in which the damping element is located.
- the recess of the handle is designed as a slot in an outer wall of the handle that extends into the handle. This allows the handle to deform particularly well in order to improve its movement relative to the main housing part.
- a very simple way of producing the housing according to the invention is to connect the damping element to the main housing part by means of multi-component injection molding. It is particularly advantageous that the There are no additional costs for producing the damping element, since in most cases other areas or components of the housing are manufactured using multi-component technology anyway.
- the main housing part is mounted movably relative to the handle in the movement range by means of a connecting web connected to the main housing part. This results in a certain connection between the handle and the main housing part, while still ensuring mobility between these two components.
- the connecting web is movably mounted in a guide of the handle and guided in a lateral direction, and that the handle has at least one stop element for limiting the movement of the connecting web relative to the handle. In this way, a limitation of the relative movement between the handle and the main housing part is also achieved.
- Such an electric hand tool uses the advantages described in connection with the housing, so that the vibrations generated by the electric hand tool are transmitted to the handle only to a greatly reduced extent.
- the solution according to the invention can be used particularly advantageously when the electric hand tool is designed as a drill, in particular as a hammer drill.
- FIG 1 shows a side view of an electric hand tool 1, in this case a drill or a hammer drill.
- the electric hand tool 1 has a housing 2 in which the essential components of the electric hand tool 1 are housed.
- a drive device 3 within the housing 2, each shown by dashed lines, a drive device 3, a gear 4 and control electronics 5 are arranged.
- the drive device 3, which can be designed as an electric motor, for example, serves to drive a tool 6 that is accommodated in a chuck 7 of the electric hand tool 1.
- a so-called impact mechanism can be integrated into the gear 4, as is usual in impact drills or hammer drills.
- the impact mechanism introduces vibrations into the housing 2 of the electric hand tool 1, which can be unpleasant for the user of the same.
- the housing 2 is designed as described below.
- the housing 2 has a main housing part 2a in which, among other things, the drive device 3, the gear 4 and the control electronics 5 are housed.
- the chuck 7 is attached to the gear 4.
- the housing 2 also has a handle 9 which is firmly connected to the main housing part 2a in a connecting area 10. In the present case, the main housing part 2a merges directly into the handle 9 in the connecting area 10. The handle 9 and the main housing part 2a are therefore connected components.
- the handle 9 and the main housing part 2a are manufactured in one operation, for example by injection molding.
- a gap 12 is provided between the handle 9 and the main housing part 2a.
- the handle 9 allows the handle 9 to move relative to the main housing part 2a in this movement area 11.
- Such movements of the handle 9 relative to the main housing part 2a can result from the vibrations that are introduced into the handle 9 via the connecting area 10 from the main housing part 2a.
- the shape of the handle 9 corresponds to the general shape of a so-called D-handle, whereby, in contrast to known solutions, the gap 12 is present between the handle 9 and the main housing part 2a.
- the handle 9 is, as described above, connected in one piece to the main housing part 2a.
- the handle 9 has a recess 13 into which a damping element 14 is inserted, which has greater elasticity than the material of the main housing part 2a. Due to the recess 13, which in the present case is designed as a slot in an outer wall of the handle 9 projecting into the handle 9, the cross section of the handle 9 is greatly reduced in this area, so that the handle 9 can deform in this area, which enables the above-described movements of the handle 9 relative to the main housing part 2a. These deformations are almost not inhibited by the damping element 14. Rather, the damping element 14 can also deform due to its high elasticity and only forms a closed outer contour of the handle 9. In the present case, the depth of the recess 12 is approximately half the width of the handle 9 in this area and extends in a direction perpendicular to the drawing plane through the entire handle 9.
- the damping element 14 can consist, for example, of an elastomer, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer.
- the main housing part 2a consists in the present case of a suitable, hard plastic, such as polyamide.
- the handle 9 can consist of the same material as the main housing part 2a. Of course, other materials are conceivable for the main housing part 2a and the handle 9 as well as for the damping element 14.
- the damping element 14 can be connected to the main housing part 2a by means of the known method of multi-component injection molding.
- recess 13 has two lateral extensions into which the material of the damping element 14 can flow during the multi-component injection molding process, so that the damping element 14 clamps itself to the handle 9.
- the recess 13 with the damping element 14 arranged therein acts like a joint around which the deformation of the handle 9 can take place.
- the spring effect resulting from the choice of the material of the handle 9 is used.
- the recess 13 is arranged in this case on the diametrically opposite side of the movement area 11. In principle, however, other locations for accommodating the recess 13 with the damping element 14 arranged therein would also be conceivable.
- the damping element 14 has at least one, in the present case a large number of, inner recesses 15.
- the recesses 15 are preferably not filled, ie there is air in the recesses 15.
- the flexibility or elasticity of the damping element 14 can be adjusted through the inner recesses 15 and the webs that remain between the inner recesses 15.
- the elasticity of the damping element 14 is reduced by increasing the size of the inner recesses 15 and/or reducing the size of the webs or increased by reducing the size of the inner recesses 15 and/or increasing the size of the webs.
- a softer material can also be used for it.
- the damping element 14 is designed in the form of a honeycomb structure. However, if necessary, a significantly smaller number of inner recesses 15 or only one inner recess 15 could also be provided.
- the design of the movement area 11 between the main housing part 2a and the handle 9 is shown more clearly.
- the housing main part 2a is movably mounted relative to the handle 9 in the movement area 11 by means of a connecting web 16 connected to the housing main part 2a.
- the connecting web 16 is, as shown in particular in Figure 4 can be seen, is movably mounted in a guide 17 of the handle 9 and guided in a lateral direction. This is achieved in that the connecting web 16 has a widening 16a on its side facing away from the main housing part 2a, and in that the width of the guide 17 in this area is slightly larger than the width of the widening 16a.
- the handle 9 also has a stop element 18 which limits the movement of the connecting web 16 relative to the handle 9.
- the stop element 18 is formed by the guide 17 and creates a stop for the movements of the handle 9 in both possible directions of movement of the connecting web 16, designated with "x". In this way, a path limitation for the movement of the handle 9 relative to the main housing part 2a in both directions is achieved. Furthermore, lateral movements of the handle 9 are avoided by the design of the guide 17.
- the connecting web 16 can be made of aluminum, for example, and can be connected to a part of the gear 4, which is arranged in the housing main part 2a. As in Figure 5 As can be seen, the intermediate space 12 provided in the movement area 11 is covered by a bellows 19.

Other solutions known from the general state of the art provide joints in the area of the handle, which, however, entail very high costs.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a housing for an electric hand tool and an electric hand tool which ensure vibration damping or decoupling between the handle and the main housing part.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features mentioned in
The housing according to the invention has a recess in a region between the connecting region and the movement region in which the handle is spaced from the main housing part, whereby the housing can deform and the vibrations introduced into the handle via the connecting region can be converted into a relative movement between the handle and the main housing part. In this way, a decoupling of the handle from a tool connected to the electric hand tool is achieved.
In order to still have design freedom in this area and to avoid a cross section that is too small for handling the housing, according to the invention a damping element which has greater elasticity than the material of the main housing part is inserted into the recess. This damping element can be used when the handle moves relative to the main housing part be deformed so that it does not hinder the desired movements that serve to reduce or dampen vibrations.
A further advantage of the solution according to the invention is that no additional installation space is required, since the damping element in principle forms part of the main housing part and thus of the entire housing.
In a very advantageous development of the invention, it can be provided that the recess is arranged on the diametrically opposite side of the movement area. In this way, the best possible freedom of movement for the movement of the handle relative to the main housing part in the movement area is achieved.
If, in a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the damping element consists of an elastomer, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer, this results in a particularly good elasticity, which results in very good mobility of the handle in the area in which the damping element is located.
This mobility of the handle and thereby the vibration reduction effect can be further increased if the damping element has at least one inner recess.
Furthermore, it can be provided that the recess of the handle is designed as a slot in an outer wall of the handle that extends into the handle. This allows the handle to deform particularly well in order to improve its movement relative to the main housing part.
A very simple way of producing the housing according to the invention is to connect the damping element to the main housing part by means of multi-component injection molding. It is particularly advantageous that the There are no additional costs for producing the damping element, since in most cases other areas or components of the housing are manufactured using multi-component technology anyway.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the main housing part is mounted movably relative to the handle in the movement range by means of a connecting web connected to the main housing part. This results in a certain connection between the handle and the main housing part, while still ensuring mobility between these two components.
In order to achieve a certain guidance of the handle relative to the main housing part, it can further be provided that the connecting web is movably mounted in a guide of the handle and guided in a lateral direction, and that the handle has at least one stop element for limiting the movement of the connecting web relative to the handle. In this way, a limitation of the relative movement between the handle and the main housing part is also achieved.
An electric hand tool with a housing according to the invention is specified in
Such an electric hand tool uses the advantages described in connection with the housing, so that the vibrations generated by the electric hand tool are transmitted to the handle only to a greatly reduced extent.
The solution according to the invention can be used particularly advantageously when the electric hand tool is designed as a drill, in particular as a hammer drill.

A so-called impact mechanism can be integrated into the
The
In an area between the
The damping
The
