Abstract

The present invention relates to a dishwasher (1) comprising a body (2); at least one rack (3) wherein items to be washed are placed; a water line (4) which is arranged in the body (2); a main spray arm (5) which can rotate around its own axis as connected to the water line (4); and a control unit (6) which regulates the operation.

Description

  • The present invention relates to a dishwasher comprising a receptacle.
  • In dishwashers, racks are used wherein the items to be washed are placed. The items placed onto the racks are washed with the water and detergent sprayed thereon. Items produced from different materials are washed with the same water and detergent. This causes some delicate items to be damaged due to the temperature of the water or the amount of the detergent.
  • In the state of the art United States Patent Application No. US2018249885 , an auxiliary rack is disclosed, which is disposed over the rack of the dishwasher.
  • In the state of the art Patent Application No. WO2018007158 , a dishwasher is disclosed, comprising a cutlery basket.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a dishwasher wherein the items are efficiently cleaned and treated without being damaged in the machine.
  • The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a rack which is placed into the body and whereon the items are placed; a water line which is disposed in the body and which delivers water into the body; a main spray arm which rotates together with the water line; and a control unit which regulates the operation.
  • The dishwasher further comprises a receptacle arranged in the body and having an auxiliary line which is suitable for delivering water and air, at least one auxiliary spray arm which rotates around its own axis as connected to the auxiliary line, at least one nozzle which is arranged on the auxiliary spray arm and a shelf whereon the items to be washed are placed. The receptacle is placed into the body. The receptacle together with the components therein creates a separate washing zone inside the dishwasher. The water sent through the auxiliary line is delivered into the receptacle via the auxiliary spray arm. The water or air coming through the auxiliary line is sprayed onto the items placed on the shelf by means of the nozzle disposed on the auxiliary spray arm. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of auxiliary spray arms are provided in the receptacle. Thus, the items placed in the receptacle are enabled to be homogeneously washed and dried.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle is detachable. The receptacle can be detachably attached into the body of the dishwasher. Thus, the receptacle is prevented from occupying space in the dishwasher when not in use. When the user does not want to use the receptacle, he/she can detach the receptacle from the place thereof in the body and use the same at other places such as kitchen counter, etc. Consequently, the user is allowed to collect the dishes to be washed in the receptacle and place the same all together in the dishwasher. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the receptacle is detachably attached onto the rack. Thus, it is made easier for the user to attach/detach the receptacle into/from the dishwasher.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises at least one heater which heats the fluid to be sent to the water line and/or the auxiliary line. The water to be delivered must be heated to efficiently clean the items to be washed. As the temperature of the water increases, it becomes easier to remove the stains on the dishes or other items to be washed. In a preferred version of the present invention, the heater can separately heat both the auxiliary line and the water line.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a first heater which heats the fluid to be sent to the water line and a second heater which heats the fluid to be sent to the auxiliary line. By using two separate heaters, the temperature of the fluid to be sent to the water line and the temperature of the fluid to be sent to the auxiliary line can be adjusted so as to be different from each other. The fluid in the auxiliary line is delivered to the receptacle. Thus, the items placed in the receptacle are treated with water at high temperatures.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises the control unit which controls the operation of the heater or the heaters such that the temperatures of the water line and the auxiliary line are different from each other. Delivering water at high temperatures increases the efficiency of the washing process. However, since items produced from different materials may be washed at the same time in the dishwasher, the water is not heated too much so as to prevent any damage to delicate items. By deliver water to the receptacle and the washing tub of the dishwasher at different temperatures, it is ensured that delicate items are not damaged and items to be cleaned at high temperatures are washed in a single washing cycle. More delicate items in terms of cleaning such as baby bottle, etc. which are desired to be cleaned thoroughly can be placed and washed in the receptacle.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a fan which is disposed in the vicinity of one end of the auxiliary line and which facilitates the delivery of the drying air to the receptacle. The items washed in the dishwashers cannot be always homogeneously dried. The items in the receptacle must be dried after being washed. Since the receptacle has a smaller volume than the body of the dishwasher, it is made easier to dry the items. By means of the fan, the drying air can be easily delivered to the region wherein the receptacle is positioned.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher comprises a lid which is disposed over the receptacle. In a preferred version of the present invention, the lid is detachable.
  • By means of the present invention, a dishwasher is realized, comprising a receptacle having an auxiliary spray arm, an auxiliary line, a discharge hole and a shelf, wherein the delicate items are more efficiently washed.
  • The model embodiments relating to the dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention are illustrated in the attached figures, where:
    • Figure 1 - is the front perspective view of the dishwasher.
    • Figure 2 - is the front schematic view of a dishwasher comprising a receptacle.

  • The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); at least one rack (3) wherein items to be washed are placed; a water line (4) which is arranged in the body (2); a main spray arm (5) which can rotate around its own axis as connected to the water line (4); and a control unit (6) which regulates the operation.
  • The dishwasher (1) further comprises a receptacle (12) arranged in the body (2) and having an auxiliary line (7) which is suitable for delivering water and/or air therethrough, at least one auxiliary spray arm (8) which can rotate around its own axis as connected to the auxiliary line (7), at least one nozzle (9) which is arranged on the auxiliary spray arm (8), a shelf (10) whereon the items to be washed are placed, and at least one discharge hole (11) which discharges water therein. The water or air to be delivered to the receptacle (12) is sent through the auxiliary line (7). A part of the auxiliary line (7) is positioned inside the receptacle (12). At least one auxiliary spray arm (8) is disposed on the part of the auxiliary line (7) remaining inside the receptacle (12). The air or water coming through the auxiliary line (7) is delivered into the receptacle (12) by means of the nozzle (9) on the auxiliary spray arm (8). By allowing items to be treated in a separate compartment in the dishwasher (1), different items can be treated with different processes in the same washing cycle.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the receptacle (12) which is detachably attached into the body (2). Thus, the receptacle (12) is prevented from occupying extra space in the body (2) when not in use. The receptacle (12) can be placed at different positions in the body (2). In the dishwashers (1) comprising a heater (13, 14), the items in the receptacle (12) can be easily dried when the receptacle (12) is positioned close to the heater (13, 14). In another preferred version of the present invention, the receptacle (12) is detachably placed close to the base of the dishwasher (1) which comprises a heater (13, 14) on the base thereof.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a first heater (13) which heats the fluid to be sent to the water line (4) and a second heater (14) which heats the fluid to be sent to the auxiliary line (7). The heaters (13, 14) are controlled by the control unit (6). By using the first heater (13) and the second heater (14), the fluids to be send into the body (2) and the receptacle (12) are enabled to be more efficiently heated.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises the control unit (6) which controls the operation of the heaters (13, 14) so as to allow water to be sent to the water line (4) and the auxiliary line (7) at different temperatures. By operating the heaters (13, 14) at different temperatures, the control unit (6) enables the fluids in the water line (4) and the auxiliary line (7) to be delivered at different temperatures. The items desired to be treated at high temperatures are placed into the receptacle (12) for treatment. By delivering water at different temperatures onto the items placed on the rack (4) but not positioned in the receptacle (12), two different washing processes can be performed in the same cycle. Thus, the time spent by the user for washing dishes is decreased.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a fan (15) which is positioned in the vicinity of one end of the auxiliary line (7) and which delivers the drying air into the receptacle (12) through the auxiliary line (7). By means of the fan (15), the delivery of the drying air into the receptacle (12) is facilitated. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the heater (13, 14) is operated together with the fan (15). Thus, hot air is delivered into the receptacle (12).
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the dishwasher (1) comprises a lid (16) which is mounted onto the receptacle (12) and which covers the receptacle (12). Thus, the fluids in the receptacle (12) are prevented from extensively spreading into the body (2).
  • By means of the present invention, by using a receptacle (12) which is disposed in the body (2) and which has its own washing system, the items in the receptacle (12) are enabled to be treated with a different washing process than the other items in the body (2). Thus, delicate items and items which are not delicate can be treated at the same time in a single washing cycle.
