Definitions

  • the invention relates to a retaining profile for installing a surface element for railings on balconies, terraces, French balconies, loggias or the like, and for compensating for tolerances of different thicknesses of the surface element.
  • Support profiles are known in a U-shaped configuration for receiving glass panes, which are clamped between two profile legs of the U-profile.
  • wedge fixing arrangements are provided between an inner or outer side wall of the support profile and the inner and outer edge zone of the glass pane.
  • the DE 20 2015 106 963 U1 discloses a glass railing support assembly having a glass panel that can be used as a railing for parts of a building and which is received in a U-shaped support profile for supporting the glass panel, with a wedge fixing assembly for fixing the glass panel vertically, the wedge fixing assembly the support profile assigned contact legs with contact surfaces that open upwards in a wedge shape and has fixing wedges between the glass plate and the contact surface, with the contact surfaces that are braced with the wedge surfaces of the fixing wedges being provided with corrugations running transversely to the direction of the wedge and the wedge surfaces braced with the glass plate the fixing wedges are provided with an outwardly curved crown.
  • the WO 2013/174373 discloses a profile system for attaching flexible panels.
  • the profile system has at least two fastening profiles.
  • the first fastening profile is connected to one another in different orientations by means of additional profiles that can be plugged in and attached.
  • the profile system connects a flexible panel and creates a closed surface for roof, wall, facade, floor and outdoor installations under arching pressure on a substructure on surfaces or columns or beams.
  • the flexible panel is arranged between two fastening profiles and is frictionally connected to an expansion compensation surface by snapping in and clamping with spring and arching pressure in a partially rounded, hook-like notch.
  • the WO 2018/020076 A1 discloses a "glass leveling device" according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the device for leveling glass to form handrails in buildings is profiled and houses a support piece such that the support piece moves integrally with the glass.
  • the support member has a first curved surface formed as a fulcrum.
  • the support also has lower and upper ridges housed in the profile.
  • a disadvantage of the known support profiles is that the pane to be used cannot be adjusted within the profile, or only with difficulty, since the wedge detents are not easy to handle. Manufacturing-related different Glass thicknesses cannot be compensated with the known systems.
  • trained surface element in particular a glass pane, and to compensate for tolerances of different thicknesses of the surface element disclosed.
  • a method for the assembly of the holding profile and the use of the holding profile is disclosed.
  • Balconies are framed by a parapet or railing. Especially with all-glass railings, no other statically effective structural elements such as railing rods or posts are used. All-glass railings are designed as surface elements made of safety glass clamped in retaining profiles.
  • the solution according to the invention can be designed in particular for all-glass railings, but can also be used in other arrangements.
  • the plate, pane or pane of glass or the surface element used can be made of different materials, for example wood, plastic or the like. In the exemplary embodiment described, this pane is designed as a glass pane for an all-glass railing.
  • the holding arrangement comprises a holding profile, which receives the glass pane in sections and has a U-shaped cross section, for supporting and holding the glass pane and fastening it to a part of the building.
  • the retaining profile can also be designed as an F-profile in order to be able to be arranged on the structure for use as a railing mount.
  • the F profile then has a U-shaped area for accommodating the glass pane.
  • a so-called "light” holding profile is disclosed as the holding arrangement.
  • the retaining profile is made of light metal or a light metal alloy, for example educated.
  • the holding profile is made of aluminum or plastic, in particular hard plastic.
  • a base for the glass pane to be inserted is arranged in the holding profile.
  • This base is designed as a shoe, in particular as a profile or rubber shoe.
  • the profile shoe can have holes, for example for LEDs to shine through or for drainage.
  • the glass pane is inserted in the small profile shoe, which is adapted in size to the retaining profile. This is made of a plastic or a foamed plastic or a rubber material. It prevents the holding profile, which is made of aluminum in one embodiment, from coming into direct contact with the glass pane.
  • the profile shoe has a design that is slightly smaller or less wide than the clear width between the two profile legs of the U-shaped area of the holding profile. Therefore, when inserted into the lower part of the U-shaped area, the profile shoe "wobbles" at first.
  • the profile shoe can be U-shaped with cheeks, L-shaped or as an insert plate with separate or separable side parts or cheeks.
  • the retaining profile has an approximately U-shaped groove and rounded indentations at the upper ends of the two profile legs. In the region of a first profile leg that is distal to the building, an outer seal specially designed for this configuration is used.
  • the glass pane is inserted into the profile or rubber shoe between the two profile legs of the U-shaped area of the holding profile.
  • the glass pane is pressed against the outer seal so that a space is created between the glass pane and the second profile leg arranged proximally on the building part.
  • a space can also be formed between the glass pane and a cheek of the profile shoe.
  • a first clamping element is inserted into this space.
  • This clamping element can be formed from a rubber-like or plastic material.
  • the plastic material is comparatively "hard”.
  • a softer design, such as a sealing material, is not suitable because the glass pane then wobbles.
  • the clamping element can be used as a first and second or lower and upper clamping element, depending on the vertical or horizontal orientation the glass pane.
  • the clamping element can be arranged, for example, as a continuous profile cord or in sections or pieces.
  • the clamping element is made of a hard plastic, it is nevertheless flexible enough to be inserted between the glass pane and the corresponding profile leg.
  • the property of the profile leg or legs for example their resilience, also plays a role.
  • the clamping element can be made softer or harder in the material and have different shapes and/or diameter sizes.
  • the cross section of the clamping element can be round, oval, triangular, polygonal or in another suitable shape.
  • aluminum or soft aluminum or terpolymers made from ethylene, propylene and diene, ie synthetic rubbers, are suitable as the material for the clamping elements.
  • the profile shoe or rubber shoe is only pushed apart when the glass pane is inserted. After the glass pane has been installed, there is still a gap with air between the profile shoe or its one profile leg and the first profile leg of the retaining profile pointing distally away from a building.
  • the first clamping element falls down in the direction of the profile shoe.
  • a second clamping element that is designed to be larger than the first clamping element is introduced into the area of the second profile leg, which also has indentations, in this case for arranging this second clamping element.
  • the profile shoe with the inserted glass pane moves towards the first profile limb of the retaining profile.
  • the first clamping element slides down in the direction of the profile shoe.
  • the glass pane can then be brought into a desired, generally vertical position by pressing down the second clamping element from above into the first indentation or one of the following indentations of the second profile leg. So the glass pane is through securely stored. If the second clamping element has been moved into its "appropriate" indentation, a sealing seal is arranged in the upper area of the retaining profile between the second profile leg and the glass pane.
  • the glass pane Due to the additional elements such as the at least two clamping elements, which can be designed as profile rods or cords, the special design of the outer seal and their interaction, the glass pane can be securely fixed, the possibly different glass thicknesses due to production are compensated for and the glass pane is in the holding profile in the desired position held.
  • the retaining profile 10 is designed for attachment to a part of a building.
  • the retaining profile 10 is designed as a lying F-profile in order to be able to be arranged on the structure for use as a railing mount.
  • the F-shaped retaining profile 10 has a first profile leg 12 and a second profile leg 14 and a U-shaped area 16 for receiving the glass pane between a first profile leg 12 and a second profile leg 14 .
  • the retaining profile 10 is designed as a so-called "light retaining profile” 10 .
  • the retaining profile 10 is made, for example, from light metal or a light metal alloy or plastic, in particular hard plastic.
  • a base for the glass pane to be used is arranged in the holding profile 10 .
  • This base is designed as a shoe 18, in particular as a profile or rubber shoe 18.
  • the profile shoe 18 can have holes in its longitudinal extension.
  • the profile shoe 18 serves to insert a pane of glass and is therefore designed to match the size of the holding profile 10 as a so-called “small profile shoe” 18 .
  • the profile shoe 18 is made of a plastic or a foamed plastic or a rubber material. It prevents direct contact of the retaining profile 10, which is made of aluminum in one embodiment, with the glass pane to be inserted.
  • the profile shoe 18 has a design that is slightly smaller or less wide than the clear width between the profile legs 12, 14 of the U-shaped area 16 of the holding profile 10. When inserted into the lower part of the U-shaped area 16" the profile shoe 18 therefore "wobbles" for the time being.
  • FIG 3 shows the insertion of a specially shaped outer seal 20.
  • the holding profile 10 has at the upper ends of the two profile legs 12, 14 in each case an approximately U-shaped groove 22 and rounded indentations 24.
  • the outer seal 20 specially adapted to this configuration is used.
  • the outer seal 20 has in one lower region bulges 26, which correspond to the indentations 24 formed in the first profile leg 12 of the holding profile 10.
  • FIG. 4 shows the insertion of a glass pane 28 into the profile shoe 18 between the two profile legs 12, 14 of the U-shaped area 16 of the holding profile 10.
  • the glass pane 28 is then pressed against the outer seal 20, so that a space between the glass pane 28 and the second, profile leg 14 arranged proximally on the building part.
  • FIG 5 shows how a first clamping element 30 is inserted into the space between the glass pane 28 and the second profile leg 14 .
  • This first clamping element 30 can be formed from a rubber-like or plastic material, comparatively hard terpolymer, for example EPDM.
  • the first clamping element 30 is designed, for example, as a round rod or cord 30 . Due to its size and the distance of the glass pane 28 from the second profile leg 12, the first clamping element 30 falls in the direction of the profile shoe 18 down.
  • FIG. 6 shows how, after the insertion of the first clamping element 30, a second clamping element 32, which is designed to be larger than the first clamping element 30, is inserted into the upper area of the second profile leg 14, the second profile leg 14 also having indentations 24, in this case for arranging this second clamping element 32 , having.
  • the glass pane 28 is pushed towards the outer seal 20 . In this way, the second clamping element 32 can be pressed into the corresponding recess 24 of the second profile leg 14 .
  • the profile shoe 18 moves with the inserted glass pane 28 towards the first profile leg 12 of the retaining profile 10.
  • the first clamping element 30 slips in the direction of the profile shoe under its own weight 18 down.
  • the glass pane 28 is pushed in the direction of the first profile leg 12 pressed.
  • the glass pane 28 is held firmly when the first clamping element 30 no longer slides downwards. As a result, a first pair of forces is formed and the glass pane 28 is held in the lower area, ie the area in which the profile shoe 18 is arranged.
  • FIG. 8 shows the tilting of the glass pane 28 in the direction of the first profile leg 12 with the outer seal 20.
  • the glass pane 28 can then be pressed down by pressing the second clamping element 32 from top to bottom in the direction of the arrow in a further following indentation 24 of the second profile leg 14 in a desired, are usually placed in a vertical position. This creates a second pair of forces in an upper area, ie the area of the U-profile that is arranged opposite the profile shoe. This creates a clamping of the glass pane 28.
  • Figure 9b shows the two in the 7 and 8th shown pairs of forces. where is in 7 the first, lower pair of forces shown. In the 8 the second, upper couple of forces is also shown.
  • the first couple is in the Figure 9b with A
  • the second couple is in the Figure 9b denoted by B
  • the force couples A, B are each marked with a dashed line.
  • FIG. 10 shows the F-shaped retaining profile 10, which is arranged on a structure.
  • the F-shaped holding profile 10 is fastened with a connecting means leading vertically through an opening in this F-shaped part of the holding profile 10 .
  • FIG. 11 another exemplary embodiment of a holding profile 10 with a U-shaped area 16 for receiving the glass pane 28 is shown.
  • the second profile leg 14 has an extension 38 downwards in the direction of the bottom of the structure 36 . It is fastened to the structure 36 by inserting a fastening screw in a horizontal arrangement into a corresponding opening in the extension 38 of the second profile leg 14.
  • the inventive arrangement and design of a suitable outer seal 20, the design of the profile shoe 18 for receiving the glass pane 28 and the By using at least two clamping elements 30, tolerances in the glass thicknesses of glass panes 28 for glass railings can be compensated for and the glass pane 28 can be positioned easily and securely in the U-shaped area 16 of the retaining profile 10.
