Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Steuern einer eisenbahntechnischen Anlage, die eine Vielzahl von Feldelementen aufweist, bei dem aktuelle Zustandsinformationen der Feldelemente in einem Übersichtsbild für einen Bediener erkennbar angezeigt werden und bei dem eine als sicherheitsrelevant vorbestimmte Zustandsänderung zumindest eines Feldelements nur dann durchgeführt wird, wenn eine vorbestimmte Bedienhandlung durch den Bediener durchgeführt worden ist.
