Further on, it can also be seen how, according to the invention, the cover 14 can remain stably rotated in this open position thanks to its specific characteristics according to the invention.

  • a second part 23 of the base ring 12 is separated by a circumferential notch 24 from the cover of the cap 14 and ends of string extensions 26 are connected to it, which are described hereunder.
  • This circumferential notch 24 extends along the whole external surface of the cap except for the area in which there is the hinge arrangement 18.
  • Opposite ends 25 of an area of the cover 14 in which the hinge arrangement 18 is formed, are in fact connected to the second part 23 of the base ring 12 by a respective string extension 26.
  • the base ring 12 comprises a first part 20, which is arranged at one end of the cap for its complete cylindrical extension suitable for being firmly abutted on a mouth of a container, and a second part 23 separated by said circumferential notch 24 from the cover 14 of the cap to which the ends of the string extensions 26 are connected.
  • the second part 23 of the base ring 12 extends only for a part of the cylindrical extension of the cap integral with the first part 20, whereas the missing part can be said to be composed of the two string extensions 26 and by a connection rod 28 which will be discussed further on.
  • a second notch 33 is defined between the two string extensions 26 and the connection rod 28 of the second part of the base ring 12 on one side and the first part 20 of the base ring 12 on the other side.
  • Figure 7 shows how the hinge arrangement 18 allows the cover 14 to be rotated by 180° and beyond with respect to the closed position, once the cover 14 has been completely unscrewed from the bottle mouth 13. In this way, a stable opening position is obtained so that the cover 14 does not disturb a user who wishes to have access to the contents of the container, for example by bringing the mouth of the container or bottle 13 to his mouth.
  • the various figures clearly show how the hinge arrangement 18 provides a pair of bridges 27, which are foldable and which form the stable connection between the cover 14 and said connection rod 28.
  • connection rod 28 is in turn connected at its ends to the ends 25 of each of the string extensions 26 which extend from the second part 23 of the base ring 12.
  • This feature of the hinge arrangement 18 causes the cover 14 in the first embodiment to be arranged in a complete and stable opening position, as shown in figure 7 .
  • This positioning occurs, once the cover 14 has been completely unscrewed from the bottle mouth 13, when the cover 14 is rotated with respect to the base ring 12 around the hinge arrangement 18 and the tooth 29 is stably snap-engaged, for example, in the hole or housing 30 formed above the connection rod 28 providing stable positioning means of the cover 14 open and rotated by at least 180° with respect to the base ring 12.
  • Figures 1 and 2 show the cap of the first embodiment of the present invention when it has never been used and is arranged on an opening of a container closing the same.
  • the cap of the invention must also indicate like all caps of this type that the contents of the container are the original contents filled by the packer of the same.
  • Frangible bridges 31 can therefore be seen, arranged inside the circumferential notch 24 of the cap between the cover 14 and the second part 23 of the base ring 12.
  • a further frangible bridge 32 is also arranged between the connection rod 28 of the pair of string extensions 26 and the first part 20 of the base ring 12 which keeps the hinge arrangement 18 in its initial position of figures 3 and 4 .
  • Said frangible bridges 31 and 32 break when the cover 14 is unscrewed from the bottle mouth 13 to open the cap and have access to the contents of the container.
  • FIGS. 8 to 13 show a second embodiment of a cap according to the invention in which the same elements are indicated with the same reference numbers.
  • a tooth 36 is formed above the cover 14 in correspondence with its edge adjacent to the upper closing wall 15 in a recess 35, protruding upwards from the cover according to an axis parallel to that of the cap.

This rotation causes the tooth 36 protruding upwards from the cover 14 to be inserted in a V-shaped seat 37, formed in the first part 20 of the base ring 12 and facing upwards, blocking the cover 14 in this position ( figures 12 and 13 ).
