Description

The invention relates to a vertical awning according to the preamble of claim 13 and an inlet spring suitable for this according to the preamble of claim 1.

Vertical awnings of the generic type have an awning fabric that is guided on its side edges when it is raised and lowered. In order to provide a certain elasticity of the side guide, a side guide rail is provided on both sides of the awning fabric, in which an inlet is accommodated in an elastically supported manner with a certain play towards the awning fabric. The main function is to permanently maintain tension in the fabric. This results in the desired flat cloth appearance. This is also important in order to counteract a tear in the awning fabric when gusts of wind or the like occur, for example. Furthermore, such small non-eliminable deviations in assembly and fabric production are compensated for.

The awning fabric has an edge bead on both of its side edges, for example in the form of a sewn-on half-zipper and is threaded with this edge bead from above into an edge bead receiving channel of the inlet, whereby it passes through a passage slot leading at the inlet to the edge bead receiving channel and so in the inlet and so that in turn is guided with a certain elasticity in the guide rail.

The inlets have generically two edge tabs, which have a guide section with the edge bead receiving channel and the passage slot flank. On the side guide rail, on the other hand, two webs flanking a passage gap for the guide section of the inlet are provided which face the two edge tabs of the inlet so that the inlet can be supported with its edge tabs on the two webs flanking the passage gap of the side guide rail when pulling from the awning fabric is exercised on the inlet.

The awning fabric pulls in a direction running transversely to the opening and lowering direction in the plane of the opened awning fabric, that is, in a direction which runs inward in a plane parallel to the awning fabric.

To produce the elasticity between the inlet and the lateral guide rail, foam strips were conventionally glued to the side of the edge tabs of the inlet facing the two webs, which provide the elasticity when the two edge tabs of the inlet are supported on the two webs of the lateral guide rail when the awning fabric exerts a tensile force on the inlet. After a while, however, the elasticity of the foam buffers decreases.

Ähnliche Inletfedern zeigen die deutsche Patentanmeldung DE 10 2011 118 859 A1 und die internationale Patentanmeldung WO 2013/182956 A1 .More recent developments are therefore aimed at replacing the foam buffers with spring elements. So shows the European patent application EP2157275A2 Inlet springs, which are attached to the inlet received in the lateral guide rail and have a spring leg projecting inwards towards the awning fabric, with which they can be supported on the two webs flanking the passage gap of the lateral guide rail. Similar inlet springs are shown in the German patent application DE 10 2011 118 859 A1 and the international patent application WO 2013/182956 A1 .

The inlet springs proposed there are made of plastic, which has a longer stability compared to conventional foam cushions, but also fatigues after a certain time and tends to break brittle. In addition, the trend is towards ever narrower side guide rails, so that the space available as spring travel for the spring legs is limited and there is a requirement to design the inlet springs required for cushioning the inlet in the lateral guide rail so that they require the smallest possible spring deflection.

In Japanese patent application JP 2003 013680 A a support of the inlet by means of specially designed annular spring elements is proposed, which, however, appears unsuitable for inlets which are supported with their two edge tabs on the two webs of the guide rail flanking the passage gap.

In the international patent application WO 2017/212346 A1 an inlet spring is proposed, which is attached to the inlet on the rear side facing away from the fabric and also to the guide rail, so that when the awning fabric is pulled, a spring force is exerted on the inlet, pulling away from the awning fabric. The one in the WO 2017/212346 A1 The inlet springs shown are made of spring steel and are significantly slimmer than the previous plastic inlet springs, but require a special adjustment of the inlet geometry and the geometry of the lateral guide rail, so that the inlet springs can be attached to the inlet as well as to the lateral guide rail and thus expand is guaranteed when the awning fabric has a tensile force applied to the inlet.

Proceeding from this, the present invention is based on the object of developing a vertical awning and an inlet spring for this in such a way that, with small dimensions of the inlet receiving channel in the side guide rails of the vertical awning and a simple and inexpensive construction of the inlet, the inlet spring and the lateral guide rail, reliable over long periods of use Buffering of the inlet in the side guide rail against the pull exerted by the awning fabric is possible.

This object is achieved with regard to the inlet spring with the features of claim 1, with regard to the vertical awning with the features of claim 13. As in the generic prior art, the inlet spring has a fastening section for fastening the inlet spring to the inlet, as well as a counter-holding section for supporting the inlet spring in the guide rail and a spring section connecting the fastening section to the counter-holding section, which when the tensile force is exerted through the awning fabric from a relaxed state rebounds into a tensioned state and thereby overcomes a spring travel in the plane parallel to the awning fabric inward to the awning fabric with its attached to the fastening section, inlet-side end opposite its attached to the counter-holding section, outer end.

In contrast to a fixation of the counter-holding section on the side of the inlet facing away from the fabric in the inlet receiving channel of the guide rail, the counter-holding section of the inlet spring according to the invention now has a number of support feet that protrude in the plane parallel to the awning fabric inwards, i.e. in the direction of the awning fabric and when the spring section is tensioned, i.e. when the tensile force exerted by the awning fabric increases, can be supported there, for example on facing wall sections on the inside of the guide rail facing the fabric.

The number of support feet, starting from the outside end of the spring section attached to the counter-holding section, protrudes in the plane parallel to the awning fabric inwardly towards the passage gap of the side guide rail. The number of support feet can thus bridge a distance between the outer end of the spring section attached to the counter-holding section and a number of wall sections of the guide rail facing outwards in the plane parallel to the awning fabric, for example the two inlet retaining webs flanking the passage gap of the guide rail, so that the inlet spring can be supported with the number of support feet on the assigned number of wall sections of the guide rail.

A more extensive fastening of the inlet spring in the guide rail is thus obsolete. This not only avoids an associated, complex geometry of the guide rail or a correspondingly complex assembly process, but also enables the inlet to expand relative to the guide rail in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail. This is important in view of the different materials - the guide rail is usually made of metal, while the inlet is made of plastic - in order to avoid damage to the inlet in the event of temperature fluctuations.

The vertical awning according to the invention accordingly has an awning fabric guided on its two sides in a guide rail arrangement, which for this purpose has an edge bead on its two side edges, which can be designed, for example, in the form of a half-zipper attached, in particular sewn, welded and / or glued.

The two guide rail arrangements each have a guide rail with an inlet receiving channel extending along the guide rail, which is delimited on the outside by an outer wall running transversely to the awning fabric and on the inside by two inlet retaining webs spaced apart by a passage gap running along the guide rail. In the inlet receiving channel there is an inlet with play and resiliently, which is wider than the passage gap and has an edge bead receiving channel which extends along the inlet and which is open at a passage slot towards the awning fabric in order to receive the associated edge bead of the awning fabric when the awning fabric extends through the passage slot .

In addition, a number, in particular a plurality of inlet springs are arranged in the inlet receiving channel and fastened to the inlet in order to apply a spring force that pulls outwards from the awning fabric on the inlet against a tensile force exerted on the inlet by the awning fabric, each inlet spring having the structure according to the invention has and with their support feet on facing wall sections, so for example on the two Supports inner retaining webs of the guide rail against the tensile force exerted by the awning fabric.

Advantageously, each of the number of support feet can extend inwards in a plane parallel to the awning fabric, that is to say completely in the plane parallel to the awning fabric towards the awning fabric. However, it would also be conceivable to set the number of support feet at an angle to the plane of the fabric, so that they only run partially in the plane parallel to the awning fabric. The number of support feet can themselves be designed as co-resilient support elements that support the spring section. However, it is preferred to design the number of support feet to be rigid within the framework of the load to be expected from the tensile force of the awning fabric and the tension force of the inlet spring.

The counter-holding section can have a connecting section which adjoins the spring section and is advantageously designed in the shape of a leaf. The number of support feet can then protrude inwards from the spring section in the plane parallel to the awning fabric. The spring section can then be designed overall as a leaf spring and merge into the counter-holding section at the connecting section. In principle, however, a spring section designed as a strong ring spring would also be conceivable.

The counter-holding section can have an overall U-shaped cross-section with an opening in the direction of the awning fabric, with two support feet formed as side tabs, which are connected to and spaced apart via the connecting section and can thus encompass the inlet on its long sides. However, a different design of the support feet would also be conceivable, for example as bolts that penetrate through recesses on the inlet.

The fastening section can then in turn have an advantageously sheet-shaped contact section for contact with the inlet, from which claws which each serve for fastening to the inlet and which encompass a section of the inlet protrude and / or protrude from the engagement sections which protrude into a assigned recess can engage on the inlet in order to attach the inlet spring to the inlet.

Because the spring section, the contact section of the fastening section and the connecting section of the counter-holding section are designed in the form of a sheet, the inlet spring can consist entirely of one piece of sheet metal from which the support feet, which are designed as side tabs, and, if present, also the claws and / or the tab-shaped engagement sections are bent are. For attachment to the inlet, however, other attachment means could also be provided, such as screws or rivets, with which the contact section is attached to the outside of the inlet.

The inlets can each have two side tabs facing the two inlay retaining webs of the side guide rail, which flank a guide section which delimits the edge bead receiving channel and protrudes towards the awning cloth and which can penetrate the passage gap of the respective side guide rail when pulled through the awning cloth. A number of incisions can be provided on at least one of the side flaps, each incision being able to be penetrated by one of the claws or serving as an engagement for one of the engagement sections protruding from the contact section of the inlet spring.

Reference is first made to the Figure 1 , which shows a total of 1 designated inlet spring. The inlet spring 1 have a fastening section 4 which is used for fastening to an inlet, a spring section 5 which is used for Application of a spring force to the inlet is used, as well as a counter holding section 6 which is used to support the inlet in an inlet receiving channel of a guide rail when the spring section 5 is rebounded.

The inlet spring 1 is punched out as a whole in one piece from sheet metal, preferably spring steel, and brought into its final shape by folding certain areas, which will be discussed below.

The counter-holding section 6 has a leaf-shaped connecting section 10 at which it merges into the likewise leaf-spring-like spring section 5 and at which two side tabs 7 are bent at a 90 ° angle, which in the installed state extend along the inlet to which the inlet spring 1 is attached is. The side tabs serve as support feet 7 with which the inlet spring 1 can be supported in an inlet receiving channel of a lateral guide rail of a vertical awning. Since the inlet spring 1 is intended to be attached to the outside of the inlet facing away from an awning fabric of the vertical awning, the two side tabs serving as support feet 7 protrude in the direction of the awning fabric from the connecting section 10 of the counter-holding section 6.

The fastening section 4 adjoining the spring section 5 on the side opposite the counter-holding section 6 has a leaf-shaped contact section 11, from which claws 9 and tab-shaped engagement sections 8 are bent. The fastening section 4 is used to fasten the inlet spring 1 on the side of an inlet 2 facing away from the cloth, such as in particular the Figure 2 shows. The contact section 11 rests on the outside of the flat inlet 2 facing away from the cloth, the claws 9 each reaching through an associated recess 17 on the edge of the inlet 2 and the two engagement sections 8 engaging in two further recesses 17 on the edge of the inlet 2.

The inlet 2 has a central guide section 19 which delimits an edge bead receiving channel 20 on several sides, which is only above and below and is open on its inner side facing the cloth at a passage slot 12. The central guide section 19 is flanked by two edge flank tabs 18 on both of its sides.

Inlet 2 is used when the in Figure 2 The side guide arrangement shown together with the inlet spring 1 attached to it is pushed into an inlet receiving channel 16 of a side guide rail 3 of the vertical awning.

The inlet receiving channel 16 is delimited on its outside by an outer wall 15, which is opposite an inner wall which is formed by two inlet retaining webs 14 which flank a passage gap 13 that is wide enough that the guide section 19 of the inlet 2 can pass through, but narrow enough that the two edge flank tabs 18 of the inlet 2 do not fit through, but come to rest on the two inlet retaining webs 14 of the guide rail 3 when the awning fabric held with its edge bead in the inlet 2 is pulled and thereby hold the inlet 2 back.

The inlet spring 1 is located with its leaf-shaped sections 10, 5, 11 on the outside of the inlet 2 facing away from the cloth, with the two support feet 7 bent as side flaps but laterally encompassing the two edge flank flaps 18 of the inlet and in the direction of the awning cloth and thus towards the both inlead retaining webs 14 protrude, as in particular from the Figures 3 and 4 becomes clear.

If a tensile force is now exerted on the inlet 2 by the awning fabric, for example a permanently applied tensile force to maintain the tension in the awning fabric or a spontaneous tensile force when a gust of wind occurs, the inlet 2 with its central guide section 19 through the passage gap 13 of the guide rail 3 becomes Awning cloth pulled through, like Figure 6 shows. The inlet spring 1, which is fastened with its fastening section 4 to the inlet 2 and at the other, preferably upper end of its spring section 5 the side tabs 7 of the counter-holding section 6 is supported on the inlet retaining webs 14, then forcibly rebounds accordingly, the spring section 5, which is formed as a leaf spring, applying a spring force counteracting the tensile force of the awning fabric as a counter-tensile force on the inlet 2. The spring travel covered is in the Figures 5 and 6 to recognize. In this way, the elasticity of the lateral guide required for a vertical awning is provided so that there is no loud beating or even damage to the awning fabric or the inlet in the lateral guide rail when gusts of wind or the like hit the awning fabric.

The spring force of the inlet spring can be set to a desired value via the length and width of the spring section 5, even if the material of the inlet spring is specified and the thickness of the inlet spring is limited due to the installation space available in the inlet receiving channel of the guide rail. In this way, the width of the side guide rail in the pulling direction of the awning fabric can be limited and reduced compared to conventional guide rail arrangements with conventional inlet springs because the inlet spring attached to the rear has a very small thickness, but can be of almost any length in the longitudinal direction of the inlet.

The Figure 7 shows the assembly of the inlet spring 1 on the inlet 2. First, the inlet spring 1 with its fastening section 4 is placed obliquely from above on the back of the inlet 2 in the area of the recesses 17 and then with the two tab-shaped engagement sections 8 resting on the back of the inlet 2 pushed down until the claws 9 first engage and then engage behind the associated recesses 17 of the inlet 2. With further downward thrust, the two engagement sections 8 finally reach the recesses 17 assigned to them on the edge of the two edge flank sections 18 of the inlet 2 and plunge into these recesses 17 so that a firm hold of the inlet spring 1 on the inlet 2 is ensured but designed quite simply.

The Figures 8 and 9 relate to an alternative embodiment of the invention in which an inlet spring 31 has a somewhat differently designed fastening section, with two claws extending away from one another, so that the inlet spring can be fastened to the inlet 31 by hingeing. Then the inlet 32 together with the inlet spring 31 attached to it can again be pushed into an inlet receiving channel 36 of a lateral guide rail 33 of a vertical awning, the lateral guide rail 33 shown here, however, having two parallel inlet receiving channels 36 for two awning hangings arranged next to one another and two vertical awnings arranged next to one another.

The assembly of the inlet spring 31 on the inlet 32 shows Figure 10 . The inlet spring 31 is attached with its claws at an angle to the inlet 32, then hinged in a rotary movement with its two claws in the two associated recesses of the inlet, where it then engages with an audible click when it reaches its end position.

The Figures 11 and 12 relate to a further alternative embodiment of the invention, wherein the inlet spring 51 there again has claws on its fastening section, which allows the inlet spring 51 to be hinged onto an inlet 52 with corresponding recesses, and then the inlet 52 with the inlet spring 51 attached to it in turn Inlet receiving channel of a guide rail 53 of a vertical awning can be inserted.

Variations and modifications of the embodiments shown are possible without departing from the scope of the invention.

Thus, only one inlet spring per inlet is shown in the illustrations. However, several inlet springs distributed over the length of the inlet can also advantageously be provided.

Furthermore, it would be conceivable to conceal the folded side tabs serving as support feet on the counter-holding section of the inlet on their sides facing the two inlet retaining webs with a plastic or rubber coating.

Finally, it would be conceivable to bend the inlet springs shown in a Z-shape at the transition from the fastening section to the spring section and from the spring section to the support section instead of in an elongated form, if the installation space in the length of the lateral guide rail should not be sufficient.

  13. A vertical awning having an awning cloth guided in a guide rail arrangement on both sides thereof and comprising a thickened edge on both sides, for example in the form of a half zipper, the two guide rail arrangements each comprising:
a guide rail (3) having an inlet receiving channel (16) extending longitudinally along the guide rail (3) and outwardly bounded by an outer wall (15) running transverse to the awning cloth and inwardly bounded by two inlet retaining bars (14) spaced apart by a pass-through gap (13) running along the guide rail (3),
an inlet (2; 32; 52) received in the inlet receiving channel (16) in a spring-loaded manner with clearance, said inlet being wider than the pass-through gap (13) and comprising a thickened edge receiving channel (20) extending longitudinally along the inlet (2; 32; 52), said channel being open toward the awning cloth at a pass-through slit (12) for receiving the associated thickened edge of the awning cloth when the awning cloth passes through the pass-through slit (12),
a number, in particular a plurality of inlet springs (1; 31; 51) disposed in the inlet receiving channel (16) and attached to the inlet (2; 32; 52) for applying a spring force to the inlet (2; 32; 52) acting in a plane parallel to the awning cloth and pulling outwardly away from the awning cloth and opposite a tension force applied to the inlet (2; 32; 52) in the plane parallel to the awning cloth inwardly away from the awning cloth,
    characterized in that
at least one, preferably each of the plurality of inlet springs (1; 31; 51) is implemented according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein each of the support feet (7) thereof is supported on a wall segment of the guide rail (3) facing toward the same and opposing the tension force applied by the awning cloth.
  14. The vertical awning according to claim 13, characterized in that the spring segment (5) of the inlet spring (1; 31; 51) is positioned on the side facing away from the awning cloth and the leaf-shaped contact segment (11) of the mounting segment (4) of the inlet spring (1; 31; 51) contacts the inlet (2; 32; 52) on the side facing away from the awning cloth and the plurality of support feet (7) thereof are advantageously supported on the two inlet retaining bars (14).
  15. The vertical awning according to claim 13 or 14, characterized in that the two inlets (2; 32; 52) each comprise two edge flank tabs (18) facing toward the two inlet retaining bars (14) of the associated guide rail (2) and flanking the guide segment (19) bounding the thickened edge receiving channel (20) and protruding toward the awning cloth opposite the edge flank tabs (18), wherein a plurality of recesses (17) are provided at at least one of the edge flank tabs (18) and each is penetrated by one of the pawls (9) or engages in one of the engaging segments (8).
