    wherein the luminaire base body (12) comprises a connector (22), for example a plug, wherein the connector (22) is movable between a retracted position and an extended position, wherein the connector (22) projects from the luminaire base body (12) in the extended position, wherein the luminaire (10) comprises a handling element (28) by which the connector (22) is movable between the retracted position and the extended position, and the luminaire base body (12) has a counter-piece (24), for example a socket, which is configured to establish an electrical plug-in connection (36) with a further connector (22) of a further luminaire (10) arranged in an adjacent manner, said further connector (22) corresponding to the aforementioned connector (22), wherein the handling element (28), after moving the connector (22) into the extended position, projects over the luminaire base body (12) such that the handling element (28) is able to establish a mechanical connection between the luminaire (10) and the adjacent luminaire (10),
    characterized in that
    the handling element (28) comprises a retainer sleeve which is displaceably supported at an outer side of the luminaire base body (12) along the longitudinal direction of the luminaire base body (12), with the retainer sleeve being attached running around the luminaire base body (12) at the outer side of the luminaire base body (12) and with a displacement of the retainer sleeve causing a movement of the connector (22),
    wherein the retainer sleeve is displaceable such that the retainer sleeve projects beyond the outer contour of the luminaire base body (12),
    wherein the handling element (28) comprises sealing elements (30) which establish a sealed connection between the luminaire base body (12) and the handling element (28), on the one hand, and/or between the handling element (28) and the adjacent luminaire (10), on the other hand, at least when the connector (22) is in the extended position, wherein the retainer sleeve comprises two sealing rings, wherein, after the sealed connection has been established, one sealing ring contacts the luminaire (10) and the second sealing ring contacts the adjacent luminaire (10).
  2. A luminaire (10) in accordance with claim 1,
    wherein the handling element (28) is attached outside the luminaire base body (12).
  3. A luminaire (10) in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the handling element (28) is mechanically connected to the connector (22) by means of a coupling element (32), wherein the coupling element (32) extends through an elongate recess (40) of the luminaire base body (12).
  4. A luminaire (10) in accordance with claim 3,
    wherein the coupling element (32) comprises a movable slide (44) to which the connector (22) is fastened.
  5. A luminaire (10) in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the luminaire base body (12) comprises two end pieces which form oppositely disposed end-face ends of the luminaire base body (12), wherein the counter-piece (24) and the connector (22) are arranged in different end-face ends.
  6. A luminaire (10) in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the luminaire base body (12) has a translucent region (20) in which the luminaire (10) irradiates light (18), wherein the translucent region (20) preferably extends up to the handling element (28).
  7. A luminaire (10) in accordance with at least one of the preceding claims, wherein the luminaire base body (12) has a rectangular or circular or elliptical cross-section.
  8. A system comprising at least two luminaires (10) in accordance with any one of the preceding claims, wherein
    the connector (22) of a first luminaire (10) establishes an electrical connection with the counter-piece (24) of a second luminaire (10), wherein the handling element (28) of the first luminaire (10) is mechanically connected to the first and second luminaires (10).
  9. A method of assembling a luminaire (10) in accordance with any one of the claims 1 to 7 in a light strip (34), in which
    - the luminaire (10) is fastened adjacent to a further luminaire (10),
    - the handling element (28) is actuated to move the connector (22) of the luminaire (10) from the retracted position into the extended position, whereby the connector (22) contacts the counter-piece (24) of the further luminaire (10) and establishes an electrical connection.
